1DEGREE OF SUBSTITUTION OF THE IONIZED STARCHES AND THEIR ADHESIVE CAPACITY TO POLYESTER / COTTON FIBERS显示文摘Adhesive capacity of quaternary ammonium starch and starch phosphate to the polyester / cotton fibers was studied by means roving method for the purpose of improving the sizing performance and decreasing the cost. By introducing different amount of quaternary ammonium or phosphate groups onto starch molecules, the modified starch with a series of defferent degree of substitution was prepared. Therefore the regularity of adhesive capacity, extended property and size-absorbing ability with the change in degree of substitution (DS) was obtained through the researches. The experiments demonstrate that the DS of the two modified starches show a marked influence upon the properties mentioned above. The starch phosphate is superior to quaternary ammonium starch as warp size for polyester / cotton yarns from the viewpoint of adhesive capacity and cost, although both of them are better than natural one. 3THE ADHESIVE CAPACITY OF STARCH GRAFT COPOLYMERS TO POLYESTER/COTTON FIBER显示文摘The advantages of using starch graft copolymers as warp sizes in textile were briefly discussed, and the factors of affecting adhesive capacity to the fiber were analysed. By using eerie ammonium nitrate as an initiator under nitrogen atomosphere, a number of vinyl and/or acrylic monomers such as acrylic acid, acrylamide, methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, hydroxyethyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, butyl methacrylate, vinyl acetate and the combinations among them were graft copolymerized respectively onto granular corn starch in aqueous dispersion. The adhesive capacity of these starch graft copolymers to polyester/cotton fibers was evaluated by a slightly sized rovings according to V. K. Aggarwal’s method which measures the breaking strength and elongation of the rovings impregnated with the size paste. 7Study on Bending of Woven Fabrics Using Linear Viscoelasticity Theory显示文摘The bending behavior of woven fabrics under low curva-ture conditions has been analyzed by linear viscoelastictheory.The fabric is assumed to behave viscoelasticallyand to be subjected to frictional restraints in bending de-formation.The frictional restraint is considered to beproportional to the curvature and can be described by africtional moment.A model has been constructed by astandard three-element solid model and a paralleledfrictional sliding element.The equations of the model fora cyclic curvature variation are derived.A set of param-eters of the equations for each fabric has been obtainedexperimentally.Predictions of the bending rigidity andhysteresis for wool,cashmere,wool/polyester blended,polyester and cotton fabrics are made,displaying verygood agreement with the experimental observations.石风俊 胡金莲 余同希 2000Journal of China Textile University(English Edition)2000,17,1:4
8SYNTHESIS AND SIZING PROPERTIES OF GRAFT STARCHES AS WARP SIZING MATERIALS FOR POLYESTER/COTTON BLEND SPUN YARN显示文摘Grafting a number of monomers such as acrylic acid, acrylamide, methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate, butyl methacrylate and vinyl acetate onto granular corn starch was carried out respectively in aqueous dispersion by using cerie ammonium nitrate as an initiator under nitrogen atmosphere. Conversion of monomer, grafting ratio and grafting efficiency were measured by the method of combining the chemical quantitative analysis with the weight. The adhesive power of the starch graft copolymers to polyester/cotton fiber was evaluated by measuring the breaking strength and elongation of the roving impregnated with the paste. The viscosity change of the size paste before and after grafting was studied. The mechanical properties of polyester/cotton fibre yarn sized by the graft starch were tested. 9A STUDY OF TEARING PROPERTIES OF MEMBRANE COATED FABRICS显示文摘In this paper,an equation expressing relationship between trapezoid tear strength and fabrictensile properties,weave texture and geomitry of specimen was studied.It could be used to predicttrapezoid tear strength for uncoated fabrics well,and also for coated fabrics if multipling a stressconcentration coefficient.The four tear test standard methods(single-rip,double-rip,wing-ripand trapezoid tear)have been adopted to measure the tear strength of fifteen coated fabrics whichwere used for architecture and gencral industrial purposes and the nine corresponding uncoatedfabrics respectively.Analysis and comparison of experimental results showed that there are an ex-cellent correlation between each two methods with the four tear parameters respectively and a goodconsistency of the order of the tear strength for different samples.In addition,the experimental results showed that a good correlation exists between the tenslieproperties and tear strength of coated and uncoated fabrics.储才元 R.Dhingra.R.Postle 1991Journal of China Textile University(English Edition)1991,9,4:3
10IMPROVEMENT OF WET-CREASE RECOVERY PROPERTIES OF SILK FABRICS TREATED WITH EPOXIDES显示文摘Silk fabrics is finished with epoxide TDEA or TDEB. By the determination of washing fastness, DSC, IR spectrum and amino acid contents tests, TDEA or TDEB is confirmed to react with silk fibroin. 11AN INVESTIGATION ON MICROWAVE DYEING OF COTTON FABRICS显示文摘This paper deals with the dyeing of cotton fabrics with microwave irradiation.The compara-tive experiments of the microwave dyeing to the conventional dyeing were carried out and themechanism was also discussed.Being subjected to microwave irradiation,the penetration of dyesand chemicals into the fabric can be achieved in a short time with a good color yield.The irradiatedmaterials generate heat via dielectric heating by high frequency electro-magnetic field and as a re-sult,energy saving can be realized.Based on the examination and analysis with X-ray diffraction,IR,SEM,and XPS,the reduction in crystallinity,the formation of active carbonyl groups of freeradicals containing oxygen and the morphological changes in the irradiated cottom fibers werefound.All of these may be believed in favour of the dyeing process.陈英方 杨海 李志伟 1993Journal of China Textile University(English Edition)1993,10,1:3
12Dimensions of Sensory Perceptions on Next-to-Skin Wear in a Cold Environment显示文摘The underlying patterns of sensory perceptions towards ciothing comfort performance were investigated by ex. posing thirty - eight healthy human subjects to exercise in a cold environmental condition: 14℃ and 32% RH. The air velocity was 0.25 m/s. Each trial lasted 80 minutes, during which two T - shirts were worn successlvely by a subject. The preferences over the T - shirts by handling were determined before the test, and ratings of sensory perception during wear were recorded every ten minutes by means of questionnaires. Nineteen sensory descrlpters were selected on the basis of previous consumer survey study. 13Microwave Irradiation Graft Copolymerization of Butylmethacrylate (BMA) onto Wool Fabrics显示文摘Butylmethacrylate(BMA) was grafted onto woolen fabrics by microwave Irradiation In the presence of catalyst ((NH4) 4S2O8) .Various parameters of graft- copolyme-rlzation reaction, namely time of reaction, microwave intensity, catalyst and monomer concentration, were optimized . The graft - copolymerization was also compared with conventional heating graft- copolymerization at the same condition, it showed microwave irradiation could Improve the reactivity of the monomer. The moisture regain decreased as graft add - on increased, the strength of the grafted fabric decreased as graft add - on increased , but the strain increased hi some degree. 16Computation and Measurement of Winding Tension in Ring Spinning显示文摘By studying the variations of balloon height and of wind-ing radius in any one winding layer of ring spinning, the formula for determining the winding tension in any layer is derived, and then the overall tension variation throughout all winding layers can be computed. A meth-od of measuring the winding tension is also introduced here, with the measured results agreeing with the com-puted ones, and so the reliable relationship between winding tension, speed and ring traveller weight can be thus obtained.
