2Role of Akt signaling in resistance to DNA-targeted therapy显示文摘The Akt signal transduction pathway controls most hallmarks of cancer. Activation of the Akt cascade promotes a malignant phenotype and is also widely implicated in drug resistance. Therefore, the modulation of Akt activity is regarded as an attractive strategy to enhance the efficacy of cancer therapy and irradiation. This pathway consists of phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase(PI3K), mammalian target of rapamycin, and the transforming serine-threonine kinase Akt protein isoforms, also known as protein kinase B. DNA-targeted agents, such as platinum agents, taxanes, and antimetabolites, as well as radiation have had a significant impact on cancer treatment by affecting DNA replication, which is aberrantly activated in malignancies. However, the caveat is that they may also trigger the activation of repairing mechanisms, such as upstream and downstream cascade of Akt survival pathway. Thus, each target can theoretically be inhibited in view of improving the potency of conventional treatment. Akt inhibitors, e.g., MK-2206 and perifosine, or PI3K modulators, e.g., LY294002 and Wortmannin, have shown some promising results in favor of sensitizing the cancer cells to the therapy in vitro and in vivo, which have provided the rationale for incorporation of these novel agents into multimodality treatment of different malignancies. Nevertheless, despite the acceptable safety profile of some of these agents in the clinical studies, with regard to the efficacy, the results are still too preliminary. 3New insights of Helicobacter pylori host-pathogen interactions: The triangle of virulence factors, epigenetic modifications and non-coding RNAs显示文摘Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) is a model organism for understanding host-pathogen interactions and infection-mediated carcinogenesis. Gastric cancer and H. pylori colonization indicates the strong correlation. The progression and exacerbation of H. pylori infection are influenced by some factors of pathogen and host. Several virulence factors involved in the proper adherence and attenuation of immune defense to contribute the risk of emerging gastric cancer, therefore analysis of them is very important. H. pylori also modulates inflammatory and autophagy process to intensify its pathogenicity. From the host regard, different genetic factors particularly affect the development of gastric cancer. Indeed, epigenetic modifications, Micro RNA and long non-coding RNA received more attention. Generally, various factors related to pathogen and host that modulate gastric cancer development in response to H. pylori need more attention due to develop an efficacious therapeutic intervention. 5Sensitivity analysis of influencing parameters in cavern stability显示文摘In order to analyze the stability of the underground rock structures,knowing the sensitivity of geomechanical parameters is important.To investigate the priority of these geomechanical properties in the stability of cavern,a sensitivity analysis has been performed on a single cavern in various rock mass qualities according to RMR using Phase 2.The stability of cavern has been studied by investigating the side wall deformation.Results showed that most sensitive properties are coefficient of lateral stress and modulus of deformation.Also parameters of Hoek-Brown criterion and r c have no sensitivity when cavern is in a perfect elastic state.But in an elasto-plastic state,parameters of Hoek-Brown criterion and r c affect the deformability;such effect becomes more remarkable with increasing plastic area.Other parameters have different sensitivities concerning rock mass quality(RMR).Results have been used to propose the best set of parameters for study on prediction of sidewall displacement.Abolfazl Abdollahipour Reza Rahmannejad 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,5:9
6Scour countermeasures for cylindrical piers using riprap and combination of collar and riprap显示文摘Various methods are proposed to control scouring around bridge piers. In the present study application of riprap alone and combinations of riprap and collar were examined experimentally for scour control around cylindrical bridge piers. Tests were conducted with seven riprap sizes and with two different sizes of collars. Empirical equations were developed for stable riprap diameter for two cases of piers with and without collar protection. Extent of riprap layer is also presented for these two cases. The results showed that in the range of b/dR≤7.5 (where b is pier diameter and dR is riprap size) using a collar reduced the stable riprap size. 8Numerical modelling of stress analysis around rectangular tunnels with large discontinuities(fault) by a hybridized indirect BEM显示文摘Tunnels are one of the major transportation routes to pass mountains and difficult geological conditions. The behavior of these structures is significantly influenced by rock mass and discontinuities. Orientation of discontinuities is one of the most important geometrical parameters affecting discontinuities behavior. The effect of large discontinuities(faults) behavior on a jointed medium around rectangular tunnels is studied. A hybridized indirect boundary element code named TFSDDM(fictitious stress displacement discontinuity method) is used to study the stress distribution around the tunnels excavated in jointed rock masses. The code uses advantages of both fictitious stress and displacement discontinuity methods to analyze discontinuity effects more accurately. Results show that the dip angle of discontinuities has significant effect on stress distribution around the tunnel. It is also shown that increase in the discontinuities dip angle located in the roof will result in decrease in tensile stress of the roof. 9Best compromising crashworthiness design of automotive S-rail using TOPSIS and modified NSGAⅡ显示文摘In order to reduce both the weight of vehicles and the damage of occupants in a crash event simultaneously, it is necessary to perform a multi-objective optimal design of the automotive energy absorbing components. Modified non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II(NSGA II) was used for multi-objective optimization of automotive S-rail considering absorbed energy(E), peak crushing force(Fmax) and mass of the structure(W) as three conflicting objective functions. In the multi-objective optimization problem(MOP), E and Fmax are defined by polynomial models extracted using the software GEvo M based on train and test data obtained from numerical simulation of quasi-static crushing of the S-rail using ABAQUS. Finally, the nearest to ideal point(NIP)method and technique for ordering preferences by similarity to ideal solution(TOPSIS) method are used to find the some trade-off optimum design points from all non-dominated optimum design points represented by the Pareto fronts. 11Sonication method synergism with rare earth based nanocatalyst:preparation of NiFe_(2–x)Eu_xO_4 nanostructures and its catalytic applications for the synthesis of benzimidazoles,benzoxazoles,and benzothiazoles under ultrasonic irradiation显示文摘A simple and practical ultrasonically synthetic strategy for the preparation of rare-earth based catalyst, nanostructured NiFe_(2–x)Eu_xO_4 was developed. The structure of NiFe_(2–x)Eu_xO_4 was characterized by various analyses such as X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR). The catalytic performance of NiFe_(2–x)Eu_xO_4 was evaluated for the synthesis of benzimidazoles, benzoxazoles and benzothiazoles under ultrasonic irradiation. All reactions were completed in short times and all products were obtained in good to excellent yields in presence of the rare-earth based catalyst. 12Process mineralogy as a key factor affecting the flotation kinetics of copper sulfide minerals显示文摘The aim of this study is to apply process mineralogy as a practical tool for further understanding and predicting the flotation kinetics of the copper sulfide minerals. The minerals' composition and association, grain distribution, and liberation within the ore samples were analyzed in the feed, concentrate, and the tailings of the flotation processes with two pulp densities of 25 wt% and 30 wt%. The major copper-bearing minerals identified by microscopic analysis of the concentrate samples included chalcopyrite(56.2 wt%), chalcocite(29.1 wt%),covellite(6.4 wt%), and bornite(4.7 wt%). Pyrite was the main sulfide gangue mineral(3.6 wt%) in the concentrates. A 95% degree of liberation with d_(80) > 80 μm was obtained for chalcopyrite as the main copper mineral in the ore sample. The recovery rate and the grade in the concentrates were enhanced with increasing chalcopyrite particle size. Chalcopyrite particles with a d_(80) of approximately 100 μm were recovered at the early stages of the flotation process. The kinetic studies showed that the kinetic second-order rectangular distribution model perfectly fit the flotation test data. 13Low-cost sensorless control of four-switch,brushless DC motor drive with direct back-EMF detection显示文摘We propose a position sensorless control scheme for a four-switch,three-phase brushless DC motor drive,based on the zero crossing point detection of phase back-EMF voltages using newly defined error functions(EFs). The commutation in-stants are 30° after detected zero crossing points of the EFs. Developed EFs have greater magnitude rather than phase or line voltages so that the sensorless control can work at a lower speed range. Moreover,EFs have smooth transitions around zero voltage level that reduces the commutation errors. EFs are derived from the filtered terminal voltages vao and vbo of two low-pass filters,which are used to eliminate high frequency noises for calculation of the average terminal voltages. 15Landslide susceptibility mapping using Genetic Algorithm for the Rule Set Production(GARP) model显示文摘Investigation on landslide phenomenon is necessary for understanding and delineating the landslide prone and safer places for different land use practices. On this basis, a new model known as genetic algorithm for the rule set production was applied in order to assess its efficacy to obtain a better result and a more precise landslide susceptibility map in Klijanerestagh area of Iran. This study considered twelve landslide conditioning factors(LCF) like altitude, slope, aspect, plan curvature, profile curvature, topographic wetness index(TWI), distance from rivers, faults, and roads, land use/cover, and lithology. For modeling purpose, the Genetic Algorithm for the Rule Set Production(GARP) algorithm was applied in order to produce the landslide susceptibility map. Finally, to evaluate the efficacy of the GARP model, receiver operating characteristics curve as well as the Kappa index were employed. Based on these indices, the GARP model predicted the probability of future landslide incidences with the area under the receiver operating characteristics curve(AUC-ROC) values of 0.932, and 0.907 for training and validating datasets, respectively. In addition, Kappa values for the training and validating datasets were computed as 0.775, and 0.716, respectively. Thus, it can be concluded that the GARP algorithm can be a new but effective method for generating landslide susceptibility maps(LSMs). Furthermore, higher contribution of the lithology, distance from roads, and distance from faults was observed, while lower contribution was attributed to soil, profile curvature, and TWI factors. 16先天性上睑下垂患者100例弱视致病原因的探讨(英文)显示文摘目的:评估先天性上睑下垂患者的弱视发病情况。方法:在本横断面研究中,包括1岁以上的先天性上睑下垂患者100例(114眼)。最佳矫正视力小于10/10或两眼之间至少相差2/10者定义为弱视。年幼患者不能进行斯内伦视力表检测者,观察其注视情况。不同弱视患者的类型:1)屈光参差性弱视:散光性屈光参差≥1.00D;远视性球镜屈光参差≥1.00D,近视性球镜屈光参差≥-3.00D(睫状肌麻痹);2)斜视性弱视,3)形觉剥夺性弱视(SDA)。观察弱视的总发病率及类型,并对单侧和双侧上睑下垂患者进行比较。结果:弱视的发生率在上睑下垂患者为39/114(34.2%),其具体原因:屈光参差性弱视占29.8%,SDA占10.5%,斜视性弱视4.3%,严重的上睑下垂患者弱视发病率更高,视轴遮盖者(OA)占76%,而视轴未遮盖者只占22%。在视轴遮盖的单侧眼睑下垂患者,散光屈光参差性弱视发生率更高,在双侧眼睑下垂至少1眼视轴遮盖者,球镜屈光参差性弱视发生率更高。无论单侧和双侧上睑下垂,如果有视轴遮盖,则SDA比较多见。结论:由于屈光参差性弱视比SDA发生率更高,关注导致的弱视所有原因对于预防儿童上睑下垂所致的弱视极其重要。Abolfazl Kasaee Alireza Yazdani-Abyaneh Syed Ziaeddin Tabatabaie Alireza K.Jafari Ahmad Ameri Bahram Eshraghi Vafa Samarai Meysam Mireshghi Mohammad Taher Rajabi 2011国际眼科杂志2011,11,3:4
17Deep learning neural networks for spatially explicit prediction of flash flood probability显示文摘Flood probability maps are essential for a range of applications,including land use planning and developing mitigation strategies and early warning systems.This study describes the potential application of two architectures of deep learning neural networks,namely convolutional neural networks(CNN)and recurrent neural networks(RNN),for spatially explicit prediction and mapping of flash flood probability.To develop and validate the predictive models,a geospatial database that contained records for the historical flood events and geo-environmental characteristics of the Golestan Province in northern Iran was constructed.The step-wise weight assessment ratio analysis(SWARA)was employed to investigate the spatial interplay between floods and different influencing factors.The CNN and RNN models were trained using the SWARA weights and validated using the receiver operating characteristics technique.The results showed that the CNN model(AUC=0.832,RMSE=0.144)performed slightly better than the RNN model(AUC=0.814,RMSE=0.181)in predicting future floods.Further,these models demonstrated an improved prediction of floods compared to previous studies that used different models in the same study area.This study showed that the spatially explicit deep learning neural network models are successful in capturing the heterogeneity of spatial patterns of flood probability in the Golestan Province,and the resulting probability maps can be used for the development of mitigation plans in response to the future floods.The general policy implication of our study suggests that design,implementation,and verification of flood early warning systems should be directed to approximately 40%of the land area characterized by high and very susceptibility to flooding.Mahdi Panahi Abolfazl Jaafari Ataollah Shirzadi Himan Shahabi Omid Rahmati Ebrahim Omidvar Saro Lee Dieu Tien Bui 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,3:4
18Experimental analysis of tip vortex cavitation mitigation by controlled surface roughness显示文摘This study presents results of experiments where roughness applications are evaluated in delaying the tip vortex cavitation inception of an elliptical foil.High-speed video recordings and laser doppler velocimetry(LDV)measurements are employed to provide further details on the cavitation behavior and tip vortex flow properties in different roughness pattern configurations.The angular momentum measurements of the vortex core region at one chord length downstream of the tip indicate that roughness leads to a lower angular momentum compared with the smooth foil condition while the vortex core radius remains similar in the smooth and roughened conditions.The observations show that the cavitation number for tip vortex cavitation inception is reduced by 33%in the optimized roughness pattern compared with the smooth foil condition where the drag force increase is observed to be around 2%.During the tests,no obvious differences in the cavitation inception properties of uniform and non-uniform roughness distributions are observed.However,the drag force is found to be higher with a non-uniform roughness distribution.Urban Svennberg Abolfazl Asnaghi Robert Gustafsson Rickard E.Bensow 2020Journal of Hydrodynamics2020,32,6:4
19Effect of Stimulating the BL67 Point on Fetal Correction from Breech to Cephalic Presentation and Natural Delivery after the 36 Weeks of Pregnancy: A Randomized Clinical Trial显示文摘Objective:Various techniques are proposed for changing fetal presentation.We aimed to assess the effect of BL67 point stimulation on correcting breech presentation and natural delivery in women at 36-38 gestational weeks.Methods:A parallel single blinded randomized clinical trial was conducted on 72 eligible pregnant women with breech presentation at the 36 weeks of pregnancy.The subjects were divided into two groups-intervention(n=36)and control groups(n=36)by block randomization method.The intervention group stimulated the BL67 point by self-administration for 20 min once a day for 2 weeks.Finally,the appearance of cephalic presentation and rate of vaginal delivery was compared between the groups(n1=n2=32)using the Chi-square test and multivariate logistic regression.Results:The correction of breech to cephalic presentation occurred in 53.1% of patients in the intervention group.The adjusted relative risk(RR)for fetal correction from breech to cephalic was 1.80(RR=1.80,95%confidence interval[CI],1.13-5.17).It was shown that the stimulation of the BL67 point increased the correction of breech to cephalic presentation.In addition,the rate of vaginal delivery increased by>4-fold(RR=4.16,95%CI,2.54-6.82)by correction to cephalic presentation.Moreover,65.6%of mothers in intervention group and 90.6%in the control group underwent cesarean section.Conclusions:The stimulation of the BL67 point is a safe,inexpensive,and effective method that can be self-administered at home for fetal correction from breech to cephalic presentation in women with breech presentations during 36-38 gestational weeks.This promotes uncomplicated natural childbirth.Khatereh Sourani Abolfazl Mohammadbeigi Nasim Khademi Azadeh Asgarian Imaneh Khaki Zohreh Ahmadi 2020Reproductive and Developmental Medicine2020,4,2:3
20Facile synthesis, morphology and structure of Dy_2O_3 nanoparticles through electrochemical precipitation显示文摘The aim of this research was to introduce a new, facile and simple method for synthesis of Dy_2O_3 nanostructures at room temperature. For the first time,galvanostatic electrodeposition was used to synthesize Dy_2O_3 particles, and the influence of the current density on the structure and morphology of the product was studied.The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET). The results show that the current density has little effect on the chemical composition but great effect on the structure and morphology of the samples. The average size of the particles decreases as the applied current density increases. The grain size of asprepared samples decreases from 500 to 70 nm when the current density increases from 0.5 to 6.0 mA·cm^(-2). To obtain oxide product, the as-prepared samples were heattreated at 1,000 °C. The results show that the heat-treated samples have smaller particles. The XRD results show that the similar patterns are observed in the samples synthesized at different current densities, and the only difference from the JCPDS card is the ratio of peak intensities.
