2Oxidation and Thermal Fatigue Behaviors of Two Type Hot Work Steels During Thermal Cycling显示文摘Thermal fatigue test has been carried out on widely used hot work steel 4Cr5MoSiV1and a low alloyed steel 3Cr3MoV in temperature range of 200to 700℃.Tempering resistance,as well as high temperature hardness/strength of steel specimens,works as a dominating material parameter on thermal fatigue resistance.During the heating period,high hardness can depress the inelastic deformation.This deformation is the origination of tensile stress,which acts as the driving force of heat checking during the cooling period.The cyclic strain-oxidation interaction can speed up the damage on surface defects,which plays an obvious role in initiation of thermal cracks.On4Cr5MoSiV1steel specimens,borders between the matrix and inclusions such as titanium compounds,or lager carbides such as primary carbides,are focused by strain and attacked by oxidation,and are main initiating places of cracks.While on 3Cr3MoV steel specimens,larger strain causes plastic deformation concentrating around grain boundaries.Then the following oxidation accelerates this grain boundary damage and creates cracks.MIN Yong-an Bergstrm Jens WU Xiao-chun XU Luo-ping 2013Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2013,20,11:5

5西岸地区巴勒斯坦妇女的孕产妇死亡率显示文摘Objective: To assess maternal mortality and determine the most common causes of maternal death among Palestinian women. Methods: Available data on the 431 women who died between the ages of 15 and 49 years in the West Bank in 2000 and 2001 were reviewed. The data were collected from official agencies and, using the verbal autopsy approach, interviews of the deceased women’s relatives. The interviews were conducted in all 10 districts of the West Bank over 30 months. Results: Maternal mortality ratios for 2000 and 2001 were 29.2 and 36.5 per 100,000 live births, respectively. Cardiovascular diseases and hemorrhage were the most common causes of death. Misclassification was found in 38% of the deaths. A tentative analysis of avoidability indicated that 69% of maternal deaths could be classified as avoidable. Conclusion: A majority of thematernal deaths identified were avoidable. 6青光眼成本效益分析:影响功用的因素-来自瑞典的初步研究显示文摘Purpose:To investigate the effect of different levels of visual field defect in glaucoma on utilities and to test if utilities could be assessed using a general questionnaire such as the EQ-5D.Methods:cross-sectional study in 199 patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma grouped into 5 severity stages according to visual field defects was performed in 4 specialized ophthalmic centres.Descriptive analysis was performed for the sample and by stage,and the effect of vision loss on utility was investigated with multiple step-wise regression analysis.Results:The mean age of the sample was 70 and the mean MD in the worse eye was-13.1 dB(SD 10.2).Visual acuity(VA)was 0.63 and 0.87 in the worse and better eye,respectively,and the mean utility was 0.80(SD 0.23).Utility decreased with increasing glaucomatous damage,ranging from 0.84 for mild disease to 0.72 for severe damage(MD-2.5 to-28.1),but the difference between the groupswas not statistically significant when controlling for co-morbidity,except for the most severe stage(p < 0.01).In multiple regression analysis,visual field in the better eye was significantly correlated with utility,and therewas an indirect correlation between visual field in the worse eye and utility:the effect of total VA on utility was significant,and MD in the worse eye was correlated with total VA.Conclusions:Utility is strongly correlated with overall vision.Our results suggest a relationship between glaucomatous damage and utility,and patients with severe damage have a significantly lower utility.However,this should be further investigated in larger samples that include more patients with moderate-severe bilateral damage.Kobelt G. 8Improved cryopreservation of human hepatocytes using a new xeno free cryoprotectant solution显示文摘AIM:To optimize a xeno-free cryopreservation protocol for primary human hepatocytes.METHODS:The demand for cryopreserved hepatocytes is increasing for both clinical and research purposes.Despite several hepatocyte cryopreservation protocols being available,improvements are urgently needed.We first compared controlled rate freezing to polystyrene box freezing and did not find any significant change between the groups.Using the polystyrene box freezing,we compared two xeno-free freezing solutions for freezing of primary human hepatocytes:a new medium(STEM-CELLBANKER,CB),which contains dimethylsulphoxide(DMSO) and anhydrous dextrose,both permeating and non-permeating cryoprotectants,and the frequently used DMSO-University of Wisconsin(DMSOUW) medium.The viability of the hepatocytes was assessed by the trypan blue exclusion method as well as a calcein-esterase based live-dead assay before and after cryopreservation.The function of the hepatocytes was evaluated before and after cryopreservation by assessing enzymatic activity of 6 major cytochrome P450 isoforms(CYPs):CYP1A2,CYP2C9,CYP2C19,CYP2D6,CYP3A4 and CYP3A7.RESULTS:The new cryoprotectant combination preserved hepatocyte viability significantly better than the standard DMSO-UW protocol(P < 0.01).There was no significant difference in viability estimation between both the trypan blue(TB) and the Live-Dead Assay methods.There was a correlation between viability of fresh hepatocytes and the difference in cell viability between CB and DMSO protocols(r 2 = 0.69) using the TB method.However,due to high within-group variability in the activities of the major CYPs,any statistical between-group differences were precluded.Cryopreservation of human hepatocytes using the cryoprotectant combination was a simple and xeno-free procedure yielding better hepatocyte viability.Thus,it may be a better alternative to the standard DMSO-UW protocol.Estimating CYP activities did not seem to be a relevant way to compare hepatocyte function between different groups due to high normal variability between different liver samples.CONCLUSION:The cryoprotectant combination may be a better alternative to the standard DMSO-UW protocol in primary human hepatocyte cryopreservation.Mohammed Saliem Frida Holm Rosita Bergstrm Tengzelius Carl Jorns Lisa-Mari Nilsson Bo-Gran Ericzon Ewa Ellis Outi Hovatta 2012World Journal of Hepatology2012,4,5:2
