| 1 | Self-Healing Concrete with Crystalline Admixture——A Review显示文摘The scope of the present paper is to understand the effects of crystalline admixture on the selfhealing capacity of the cementitious composites. Previous studies were examined and a conclusion was drawn to the effect that different additives to crystalline admixture tend to improve self-healing of concrete for larger cracks. It is recommended that initial treatment with chemical admixture can stimulate and heal further cracks and it has the better repeatability trend in mixing with the concretes and mechanical recovery is possible even under repetitive preloading. | 2 | Carcinogenic Helicobacter pylori in gastric pre-cancer and cancer lesions: Association with tobacco-chewing显示文摘AIM:To investigate the low gastric cancer incidence rate relative to the highly prevalent Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection;data relevant to H.pylori infection during gastric carcinogenesis in Indian patients is currently lacking.METHODS:The present study examines the prevalence of H.pylori infection in DNA derived from 156endoscopic gastric biopsies of different disease groups that represent gastric pre-cancer[intestinal metaplasia(n=15),dysplasia(n=15)],cancer[diffuse adenocarcinoma(n=44),intestinal adenocarcinoma(n=21)],and symptomatic but histopathologically-normal controls(n=61).This was done by generic ureC polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and cagA-specific PCR that could specifically identify the carcinogenic H.pylori strain.RESULTS:Our analysis showed the presence of H.pylori infection in 61%of symptomatic histopathologically-normal individuals,however only 34%of control tissues were harboring the cagA+H.pylori strain.A similar proportion of H.pylori infection(52%)and cagA(26%)positivity was observed in the tumor tissue of the gastric cancer group.In comparison,H.pylori infection(90%)and cagA positivity(73%)were the highest in gastric pre-cancer lesions.In relation to tobacco and alcohol abuse,H.pylori infection showed an association with tobacco chewing,whereas we did not observe any association between tobacco smoking or alcohol abuse with prevalence of H.pylori infection in the tissue of any of the patient groups studied.CONCLUSION:High incidence of H.pylori infection and carcinogenic cagA positive strain in pre-cancer lesions during gastric carcinogenesis may be | Arvind Pandey Satyendra Chandra Tripathi Sutapa Mahata Kanchan Vishnoi Shirish Shukla Sri Prakash Misra Vatsala Misra Suresh Hedau Ravi Mehrotra Manisha DwivediZ Alok C Bharti | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014，20，22： | 4 |
| 3 | Willow (Salix fragilis Linn.):A Multipurpose Tree Species under Pest Attack in the Cold Desert of Lahaul Valley,Northwestern Himalaya,India显示文摘爆竹柳(Salix fragilis)是拉胡尔(Lahaul)山谷冻原地区(位于印度喜马拉雅西北部)本地农林生态系统中分布最为广泛的一个柳树树种。目前,严重的害虫侵袭以及其他植物传染病已经威胁到该树种的生存状况。作为一种多用途的柳树,爆竹柳不仅具有提高植被覆盖度的功能,同时也是一种重要的薪材和饲料来源。本研究对区内Khoksa、Jahlma和Hinsa等三个村庄的爆竹柳进行了较为详细的调查。结果表明,爆竹柳分别为Khoksa、Jahlma和Hinsa三个村庄提供了69.5%、29%、42%的薪材来源。但令人吃惊的是,目前该地区仅有30.0±20.1%的爆竹柳处于健康状态,55.2±16.1%已经枯萎,14.8±6.1%由于受到害虫入侵和其他植物传染病的共同威胁而即将枯萎。建议以试验为基础,引进当地的野生种以及喜马拉雅类似地区的其他驯化种,以求维持拉胡尔地区原有农林生态系统中的柳树种植模式。 | Yashwant S.Rawat Santaram S.0inam Subhash C.R.Vishvakarma.
