3Species of the Colletotrichum gloeosporioides complex associated with anthracnose diseases of Proteaceae显示文摘Anthracnose disease of Proteaceae has in the past chiefly been attributed to infections by C.acutatum,C.boninense and C.gloeosporioides.In the present study,a multi-locus phylogenetic analysis(ACT,CAL,CHS-1,GAPDH,GS,ITS,TUB2)revealed that strains of the C.gloeosporioides complex associated with Proteaceae belong to at least six species.These include C.alienum,C.aotearoa,C.kahawae(subsp.ciggaro),C.siamense,and two new taxa,C.proteae and C.grevilleae.The most economically important pathogen of Proteaceae seems to be C.alienum,and not C.gloeosporioides as previously reported.All taxa associated with Proteaceae are morphologically described on different media in culture,except strains of C.siamense,which proved to be sterile.Furthermore,C.populi is synonymised with C.aenigma.Fang Liu Ulrike Damm Lei Cai Pedro W.Crous 2013Fungal Diversity2013,,4:6
4MODELING OF CONTROLLED THERMO-MECHANICAL PROCESSING OF TUBES FOR ENHANCED MANUFACTURING AND PERFORMANCE显示文摘An integrated mathematical model to simulate seamless tube rolling processes has been developed at The Timken Company. The model is capable of simulating the thermal, deformation and microstructure evolution in the piercing, elongating and reducing/sizing and the austenite decomposition in the mill annealing and cooling operations. Finite difference schemes are employed to model cooling, reducing/sizing and stretch reducing, and finite-element schemes are employed to simulate piercing and elongating. The model predicts the thermal history, deformation, rolling load, torque, recrystallization and grain growth in hot tube rolling, austenite decomposition in cooling or annealing, and the final structure-properties. In this paper mathematical models which are employed to describe the thermal, deformation and microstructure evolution along with the modeling results are presented. The developed 'tube rolling mill in the computer' provides a powerful tool for engineers for product and process development, process control, process optimization and quality control.D. Jin E. D. 5Three decades of hepatitis B control with vaccination显示文摘Hepatitis B virus(HBV) continues to represent a major health problem and can lead to acute liver failure, acute hepatitis, chronic carriership, chronic hepatitis of HBV, liver cirrhosis, liver cancer, liver transplantation and death. There is a marked difference in the geographic distribution of carriers. More than 240 million people worldwide are chronic HBV carriers. Mother-to-child transmission remains the most important mechanism of infection in countries with a high prevalence of HBV. Percutaneous/parenteral transmission and unsafe sexual practices are important mode of spread transmission of HBV in other countries. Vaccination against HBV is the gold measure for primary prevention and control of the disease. Currently, 179 countries have added HBV vaccination to their routine vaccination programs with great results. Neonatal immunization with HBV vaccine has been one of the most highly effective measures in public health and the first anti-cancer program to be launched. 9The Colletotrichum orbiculare species complex: Important pathogens of field crops and weeds显示文摘Colletotrichum orbiculare causes anthracnose of Cucurbitaceae and is phylogenetically closely related to pathogens of several other herbaceous hosts belonging to the Asteraceae,Fabaceae and Malvaceae.Most of them are known for their hemibiotrophic infection strategy and as destructive pathogens either of field crops or weeds.In order to study the phylogenetic relationships of these fungi,a multilocus analysis(ITS,GAPDH,CHS-1,HIS3,ACT,TUB2,GS)of 42 strains of C.orbiculare and related species was conducted.The analysis resulted in nine clades that confirmed the four species previously known as belonging to this species complex,C.lindemuthianum,C.malvarum,C.orbiculare and C.trifolii,and recognised four new species from weeds,namely C.bidentis,C.sidae,C.spinosum and C.tebeestii.The name C.orbiculare itself is widely used in plant pathology and science,but is invalid according to current nomenclatural rules.Therefore we described a new species with the same epithet and a type specimen that agrees with our current understanding of this species,and is linked to a living culture.Following the recent epitypification of C.lindemuthianum,we chose appropriate specimens with associated strains to serve as epitypes of C.malvarum and C.trifolii,and selected an authentic specimen of C.trifolii as lectotype.Ulrike Damm Paul F.Cannon Fang Liu Robert W.Barreto Eduardo Guatimosim Pedro W.Crous 2013Fungal Diversity2013,,4:3
10Chemoattractants and cytokines in primary ciliary dyskinesia and cystic fibrosis: key players in chronic respiratory diseases显示文摘Patients with primary ciliary dyskinesia(PCD)and cystic fibrosis(CF),two inherited disorders,suffer from recurrent airway infections characterized by persistent bacterial colonization and uncontrollable inflammation.Although present in high counts,neutrophils fail to clear infection in the airways.High levels of C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 8/interleukin-8(CXCL8/IL-8),the most potent chemokine to attract neutrophils to sites of infection,are detected in the sputum of both patient groups and might cause the high neutrophil influx in the airways.Furthermore,in CF,airway neutrophils are highly activated because of the genetic defect and the high levels of proinflammatory chemoattractants and cytokines(e.g.,CXCL8/IL-8,tumor necrosis factor-αand IL-17).The overactive state of neutrophils leads to lung damage and fuels the vicious circle of infection,excessive inflammation and tissue damage.The inflammatory process in CF airways is well characterized,whereas the lung pathology in PCD is far less studied.The knowledge of CF lung pathology could be useful to guide molecular investigations of the inflammatory processes in PCD lungs.Current available therapies can not completely remedy the chronic airway infections in these diseases.This review gives an overview of the role that chemoattractants and cytokines play in these neutrophil-dominated lung pathologies.Finally,the most frequently applied treatments in CF and PCD and new experimental therapies to reduce neutrophil-dominated airway inflammation are described.Maaike Cockx Mieke Gouwy Jo Van Damme Sofie Struyf 2018Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,4:3

18核糖体失活蛋白及其在黄瓜中的表达分析(英文)显示文摘核糖体失活蛋白是一类具有高度特异性r RNA N-糖苷酶活性的蛋白,它们能够使原核或真核细胞的核糖体失活因而具有细胞毒性.由于其独特的生物学性质,核糖体失活蛋白被认为在农业和医学中都有着巨大的应用潜力.我们之前的研究表明,黄瓜的基因组中共包含2个2类核糖体失活蛋白基因,分别命名为Cumsa AB1和Cumsa AB2.以蓖麻毒蛋白Ricin为代表,2类核糖体失活蛋白通常由2条二硫键连接的肽链组成:具有N-糖苷酶活性的A链与具有凝集素活性的B链.本文研究了黄瓜中核糖体失活蛋白的表达情况.亚细胞定位研究表明Cumsa AB1经过蛋白分泌通路表达于细胞外,这与蛋白质序列分析显示的Cumsa AB1包含一个信号肽而不含转膜区域相一致.对黄瓜的不同生长阶段的不同组织中的转录水平分析表明,Cumsa AB1在大部分组织中以极低的水平表达,而Cumsa AB2表达水平则明显更高,尤其在第一片真叶阶段和刚开花的植物中.最后,我们使用分子模拟对黄瓜中核糖体失活蛋白的结构及糖结合位点进行了分析.本研究对黄瓜中核糖体失活蛋白的亚细胞定位、表达水平和可能的蛋白质结构进行了研究,为其进一步的生物学功能研究提供了重要信息.党刘毅 Pierre Rougé Els JM Van Damme 2017生物化学与生物物理进展2017,44,10:2
