2Design,modeling and experiments of broadband tristable galloping piezoelectric energy harvester显示文摘Galloping based piezoelectric energy harvester is a kind of micro-environmental energy harvesting device based on flowinduced vibrations.A novel tristable galloping-based piezoelectric energy harvester is constructed by introducing a nonlinear magnetic force on the traditional galloping-based piezoelectric energy harvester.Based on Euler-Bernoulli beam theory and Kirchhoff’s law,the corresponding aero-electromechanical model is proposed and validated by a series of wind tunnel experiments.The parametric study is performed to analyse the response of the tristable galloping-based piezoelectric energy harvester.Numerical results show that comparing with the galloping-based piezoelectric energy harvester,the mechanism of the tristable galloping-based piezoelectric energy harvester is more complex.With the increase of a wind speed,the vibration of the bluff body passes through three branches:intra-well oscillations,chaotic oscillations,and inter-well oscillations.The threshold wind speed of the presented harvester for efficiently harvesting energy is 1.0 m/s,which is decreased by 33% compared with the galloping-based piezoelectric energy harvester.The maximum output power of the presented harvester is 0.73 mW at 7.0 m/s wind speed,which is increased by 35.3%.Compared with the traditional galloping-based piezoelectric energy harvester,the presented tristable galloping-based piezoelectric energy harvester has a better energy harvesting performance from flow-induced vibrations.Junlei Wang Linfeng Geng Shengxi Zhou Zhien Zhang Zhihui Lai Daniil Yurchenko 2020Acta Mechanica Sinica2020,36,3:9

8Benchmarking the performance of Bayesian optimization across multiple experimental materials science domains显示文摘Bayesian optimization(BO)has been leveraged for guiding autonomous and high-throughput experiments in materials science.However,few have evaluated the efficiency of BO across a broad range of experimental materials domains.In this work,we quantify the performance of BO with a collection of surrogate model and acquisition function pairs across five diverse experimental materials systems.By defining acceleration and enhancement metrics for materials optimization objectives,we find that surrogate models such as Gaussian Process(GP)with anisotropic kernels and Random Forest(RF)have comparable performance in BO,and both outperform the commonly used GP with isotropic kernels.GP with anisotropic kernels has demonstrated the most robustness,yet RF is a close alternative and warrants more consideration because it is free from distribution assumptions,has smaller time complexity,and requires less effort in initial hyperparameter selection.We also raise awareness about the benefits of using GP with anisotropic kernels in future materials optimization campaigns.Qiaohao Liang Aldair E.Gongora Zekun Ren Armi Tiihonen Zhe Liu Shijing Sun James R.Deneault Daniil Bash Flore Mekki-Berrada Saif A.Khan Kedar Hippalgaonkar Benji Maruyama Keith A.Brown John Fisher III Tonio Buonassisi 2021npj Computational Materials2021,,1:2
9Resonance-enhanced multi-octave supercontinuum generation in antiresonant hollow-core fibers显示文摘Ultrafast supercontinuum generation in gas-filled waveguides is an enabling technology for many intriguing applications ranging from attosecond metrology towards biophotonics,with the amount of spectral broadening crucially depending on the pulse dispersion of the propagating mode.In this study,we show that structural resonances in a gas-filled antiresonant hollow core optical fiber provide an additional degree of freedom in dispersion engineering,which enables the generation of more than three octaves of broadband light that ranges from deep UV wavelengths to near infrared.Our observation relies on the introduction of a geometric-induced resonance in the spectral vicinity of the ultrafast pump laser,outperforming gas dispersion and yielding a unique dispersion profile independent of core size,which is highly relevant for scaling input powers.Using a krypton-filled fiber,we observe spectral broadening from 200 nm to 1.7μm at an output energy of B 23μJ within a single optical mode across the entire spectral bandwidth.Simulations show that the frequency generation results from an accelerated fission process of solitonlike waveforms in a non-adiabatic dispersion regime associated with the emission of multiple phase-matched Cherenkov radiations on both sides of the resonance.This effect,along with the dispersion tuning and scaling capabilities of the fiber geometry,enables coherent ultra-broadband and high-energy sources,which range from the UV to the mid‐infrared spectral range.Rudrakant Sollapur Daniil Kartashov Michael Zürch Andreas Hoffmann Teodora Grigorova Gregor Sauer Alexander Hartung Anka Schwuchow Joerg Bierlich Jens Kobelke Mario Chemnitz Markus A Schmidt Christian Spielmann 2017Light(Science & Applications)2017,6,1:2

12Resistance of breast cancer cells to paclitaxel is associated with low expressions of miRNA-186 and miRNA-7显示文摘Aim:Neo-adjuvant chemotherapy is a common approach for the complex treatment of breast cancer(BC)and paclitaxel(PTX)is frequently included in the therapeutic regimen.However,the effect of PTX-based treatment is hard to predict precisely based on routinely used markers.As microRNAs are considered a new promising class of biomarkers,the link between miRNA expression and PTX resistance of BC cells needs to be well investigated.This study aimed at the identification of miRNAs associated with responses of BC cells to PTX.Methods:Intrinsic PTX sensitivity and miRNA profiling were assayed in five BC cell lines to identify candidate miRNAs.Selected miRNA(n.15)expressions were analyzed by real-time-quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)in BC tissue samples(n.31)obtained from a diagnostic biopsy.Results were analyzed in the context of the effect of two cycles of PTX and the effect of the completed scheme of neoadjuvant therapy.The study’s design facilitated the evaluation of the effect of PTX on cells and the identification of features of the microRNA expression profiles associated exclusively with sensitivity to this drug.Results:miR-186 and miR-7 expression in BC tissues was higher in patients with better outcomes of PTX-based neoadjuvant therapy.Conclusion:High expressions of miR-186 and miR-7 are associated with good response to PTX,whereas their low expressions may be associated with resistance to PTX in BC,indicating the possibility of developing innovative test systems for the prediction of the PTX response,which can be used before the start of neo-adjuvant chemotherapy for BC.Vera Apollonova Daniil Plevako Alexandr Garanin Elena Sidina Lidia Zabegina Margarita Knyazeva Viktoria Smirnova Anna Artemyeva Petr Krivorotko Anastasia Malek 2023Cancer Drug Resistance2023,6,3:1
