1The Bedload Movement in the Changjiang Estuary显示文摘- Sandwaves in the Changjiang estuary were measured with a shallow sediment profiler and an echosounder from 1978 to 1988. The data, together with grain size and bedform of sediment indicates that the bedload movement by rolling and saltation is of great significance to sediment transport and is the principal factor responsible for sandwave and sandbody development in the estuary. The sandwaves were found well-developed, which is related to the tidal range and the velocity of ebb current. However, the further growth is restricted by strong flood current prevailing in the estuary. Because of the significant bedload, the sandbodies shift obviously and frequently, and sometimes the exchange of position occurs between the sandbodies and tidal channels. 2Harmonious Development of Utilization and Protection of Tidal Flats and Wetlands-A Case Study in Shanghai Area显示文摘Spatial,environmental,and material resources are important for tidal flats and wetlands,thus,a harmonious balance between utilization and protection should be maintained.In the present study,the concept of tidal flat is defined,and its spatial limitation is also clarified.Located at the Yangtze Estuary,tidal flats in Shanghai area are selected for study.The relationship between water discharge and sediment transport of the Yangtze River,allowed exploration intensity and needs for wetland protection are discussed in the paper.The dynamic process and changing trend for different types of tidal flats are illustrated in detail.Regulations are proposed for a reasonable exploitation,dynamic protection,and ecosystem restoration of each individual tidal flat and wetland.Some valuable suggestions are put forward for further study about the sustainable exploitation of offshore resources in Shanghai area.陈吉余 程和琴 戴志军 Doeke EISMA 2008China Ocean Engineering2008,22,4:3
3Adrenal lymphangioma masquerading as a pancreatic tail cyst显示文摘Cystic lymphangiomas of the adrenal gland are rare. A 79-year-old female presented in the emergency room with epigastric discomfort, and an immovable mass was palpated in her abdomen upon physical examination. Imaging studies revealed a large cystic lesion in the pancreatic tail. The radiologic impression ruled out the possibility of a mucinous cystic neoplasm, or a pseudocyst in the pancreas. The operative findings demonstrated that the cystic mass originated in the left adrenal gland. A laparoscopic excision of the cystic mass was performed, and immunohistochemistry confirmed that this mass was a lymphangioma of the adrenal gland. Several prior reports have suggested that lymphangioma can mimic renal or splenic cysts.
