| 1 | Comparison of Parallel Kinematic Machines with Three Translational Degrees of Freedom and Linear Actuation显示文摘The development of new robot structures, in particular of parallel kinematic machines(PKM), is widely systematized by different structure synthesis methods. Recent research increasingly focuses on PKM with less than six degrees of freedom(DOF). However, an overall comparison and evaluation of these structures is missing. In order to compare symmetrical PKM with three translational DOF, different evaluation criteria are used. Workspace, maximum actuation forces and velocities, power, actuator stiffness, accuracy and transmission behavior are taken into account to investigate strengths and weaknesses of the PKMs. A selection scheme based on possible configurations of translational PKM including different frame configurations is presented. Moreover, an optimization method based on a genetic algorithm is described to determine the geometric parameters of the selected PKM for an exemplary load case and a prescribed workspace. The values of the mentioned criteria are determined for all considered PKM with respect to certain boundary conditions. The distribution and spreading of these values within the prescribed workspace is presented by using box plots for each criterion. Thereby, the performance characteristics of the different structures can be compared directly. The results show that there is no 'best' PKM. | 3 | Evaluation of computer vision techniques for automated hardhat detection in indoor construction safety applications显示文摘Construction is considered among the most dangerous industries and is responsible for a large portion of total worker fatalities. A construction worker has a probability of 1-in-200 of dying on the job during a 45-year career, mainly due to fires, falls, and being struck by or caught between objects. | 4 | Spatiotemporal distribution and predictors of tuberculosis incidence in Morocco显示文摘Background:Tuberculosis(TB)is a major health problem in Morocco.This study aims at examining trends in TB in Morocco and identifying TB spatial clusters and TB-associated predictors.Method:Country-level surveillance data was exploited.Kendall’s correlation test was used to examine trends and an exploratory spatial data analysis was conducted to assess the global and local patterns of spatial autocorrelation in TB rates(Moran’s I and local indicator of spatial association[LISA])at the prefecture/province level.Covariates including living in a prefecture versus living in a province,annual rainfall,annual mean temperature,population density,and AIDS incidence were controlled.An ordinary least squares regression was thus performed and both spatial dependence and heteroscedasticity were assessed.Results:A decrease in TB incidence rate was seen between 1995 and 2014(Kendall’s tau b=−0.72;P<0.0001).However,while the period between 2005 and 2014(10 last years)was considered,TB rate remained stable and as high as 84 per 100000 population per year(95%CI:83.7-84.3).The highest incidence rates were seen in Tanger-Assilah,Fez,Tetouen-M’diq Fnidaq,Inezgane Ait Melleoul,and Casablanca.From 2005 to 2014,while TB incidence rate was stable in Fez(P=0.500),Tetouen-M’diq Fnidaq(P=0.300),Casablanca(P=0.500),Mohammadia(P=0.146),Al Hoceima(P=0.364),and Guelmim(P=0.242),an increase in TB incidence rate was seen in Tanger-Assilah(Kendall’s tau=0.49;P=0.023)and a decrease in Salé(Kendall’s tau b=−0,54;P=0.014)and Inezgane-Ait Melloul(Kendall’s tau b=−0,67;P=0.0023).TB is strongly clustered in space(P-values of Moran’s I<0.01).Two distinct spatial regimes that affect TB spatial clustering were identified(east and west).In the east,both annual rainfall(P=0.003)and AIDS(P=0.0002)exert a statistically significant effect on TB rate.In the west,only the living area(prefecture versus province)was associated with TB rate(P=0.048).Conclusions:New information on TB incidence and TB-related predictors was provided to decision-making and to further pertinent research.Association between annual rainfall and TB may be of interest to be explored elsewhere. | Mina Sadeq Jamal Eddine Bourkadi | 2018 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2018，7，1： | 2 |
| 5 | Atmospheric photochemistry and secondary aerosol formation of urban air in Lyon,France显示文摘Photochemical aging of volatile organic compounds(VOCs)in the atmosphere is an important source of secondary organic aerosol(SOA).To evaluate the formation potential of SOA at an urban site in Lyon(France),an outdoor experiment using a Potential Aerosol Mass(PAM)oxidation flow reactor(OFR)was conducted throughout entire days during JanuaryFebruary 2017.Diurnal variation of SOA formations and their correlation with OH radical exposure(OHexp),ambient pollutants(VOCs and particulate matters,PM),Relative Humidity(RH),and temperature were explored in this study.Ambient urban air was exposed to high concentration of OH radicals with OHexp in range of(0.2-1.2)×10^12 molecule/(cm^3·sec),corresponding to several days to weeks of equivalent atmospheric photochemical aging.The results informed that urban air at Lyon has high potency to contribute to SOA,and these SOA productions were favored from OH radical photochemical oxidation rather than via ozonolysis.Maximum SOA formation(36μg/m^3)was obtained at OHexp of about 7.4×10^11 molecule/(cm^3·sec),equivalent to approximately 5 days of atmospheric oxidation.The correlation between SOA formation and ambient environment conditions(RH&temperature,VOCs and PM)was observed.It was the first time to estimate SOA formation potential from ambient air over a long period in urban environment of Lyon. | Salah Eddine Sbai Chunlin Li Antoinette Boreave Nicolas Charbonnel Sebastien Perrier Philippe Vernoux Farida Bentayeb Christian George Sonia Gil | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021，33，1： | 2 |
