Max-Min Adaptive Ant Colony Optimization Approach to Multi-UAVs Coordinated Trajectory Replanning in Dynamic and Uncertain Environments显示文摘Multiple Uninhabited Aerial Vehicles (multi-UAVs) coordinated trajectory replanning is one of the most complicatedglobal optimum problems in multi-UAVs coordinated control. Based on the construction of the basic model of multi-UAVscoordinated trajectory replanning, which includes problem description, threat modeling, constraint conditions, coordinatedfunction and coordination mechanism, a novel Max-Min adaptive Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) approach is presented indetail. In view of the characteristics of multi-UAVs coordinated trajectory replanning in dynamic and uncertain environments, the minimum and maximum pheromone trails in ACO are set to enhance the searching capability, and the point pheromone isadopted to achieve the collision avoidance between UAVs at the trajectory planner layer. Considering the simultaneous arrivaland the air-space collision avoidance, an Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) is decided first. Then the trajectory and flight velocityof each UAV are determined. Simulation experiments are performed under the complicated combating environment containingsome static threats and popup threats. The results demonstrate the feasibility and the effectiveness of the proposed approach. | Hai-bin Duan,Xiang-yin Zhang,Jiang Wu,Guan-jun MaSchool of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering,Beihang University,Beijing 100191,P.R.China | 2009 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2009,6,2: | 33
Receding horizon control for multi-UAVs close formation control based on differential evolution显示文摘Close formation flight is one of the most complicated problems on multi-uninhabited aerial vehicles (UAVs) coordinated control. Based on the nonlinear model of multi-UAVs close formation, a novel type of control strategy of using hybrid receding horizon control (RHC) and differential evolution algorithm is proposed. The issue of multi-UAVs close formation is transformed into several on-line optimization problems at a series of receding horizons, while the differential evolution algorithm is adopted to optimize control sequences at each receding horizon. Then, based on the Markov chain model, the convergence of differential evolution is proved. The working process of RHC controller is presented in detail, and the stability of close formation controller is also analyzed. Finally, three simulation experiments are performed, and the simulation results show the feasibility and validity of our proposed control algorithm. | ZHANG XiangYin, DUAN HaiBin & YU YaXiang National Key Laboratory of Science and Technology on Holistic Control, School of Automation Science and Electrical Engineering, Beihang University, Beijing 100191, China | 2010 | Science China(Information Sciences)2010,53,2: | 22
Measures against the adverse impact of natural wind on air-cooled condensers in power plant显示文摘The natural wind plays disadvantageous roles in the operation of air-cooled steam condensers in power plant. It is of use to take various measures against the adverse effect of wind for the performance improvement of air-cooled condensers.Based on representative 2×600 MW direct air-cooled power plant, three ways that can arrange and optimize the flow field of cooling air thus enhance the heat transfer of air-cooled condensers were proposed. The physical and mathematical models of air-cooled condensers with various flow leading measures were presented and the flow and temperature fields of cooling air were obtained by CFD simulation. The back pressures of turbine were calculated for different measures on the basis of the heat transfer model of air-cooled condensers. The results show that the performance of air-cooled condensers is improved thus the back pressure of turbine is lowered to some extent by taking measures against the adverse impact of natural wind. | YANG LiJun,DU XiaoZe & YANG YongPing Key Laboratory of Condition Monitoring and Control for Power Plant Equipment of Ministry of Education of China,North China Electric Power University,Beijing 102206,China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,5: | 21

TREATMENT OF METALS, POLYMER FILMS, AND FABRICS WITHA ONE ATMOSPHERE UNIFORM GLOW DISCHARGE PLASMA(OAUGDP) FOR INCREASED SURFACE ENERGY AND DIRECTIONAL ETCHING显示文摘Direct exposure of samples to the active species of air generated by a One Atmosphere Uniform Glow Discharge Plasma (OAUGDP) has been used to etch and to increase the surface energy of metallic surfaces, photoresist, polymer films, and nonwoven fab- rics. The OAUGDP is a non-thermal plasma with the classical characteristics of a DC normal glow discharge that operates in air (and other gases) at atmospheric pres- sure. Neither a vacuum system nor batch processing is necessary. A wide range of applications to metals, photoresist, films, fabrics, and polymeric webs can be accom- modated by direct exposure of the workpiece to the plasma in parallel-plate reactors. This technolopy is simple, it produces effects that can be obtained in no other way at one atmosphere; it generates minimal pollutants or unwanted by-products; and it is suitable for individual sample or online treatment of metallic surfaces, wafers, films, and fabrics. Early exposures of solid materials to the OAUGDP required minutes to produce rela- tively small increases of surface energy. These durations appeared too long for com- mercial application to fast-moving webs. Recent improvements in OAUGDP gas com- position, power density, plasma quality, recireulating gas flow, and impedance match- ing of the power supply to the parallel plate plasma reactor have made it possible to raise the surface energy of a variety of polymeric webs (PP, PET PE etc.) to levels of 60 to 70 dynes/cm with one second of exposure. In air plasmas, the high surface ener- gies are not durable, and fall to 50 dynes/cm after periods of weeks to months. Here, we report the exposure of metallic surfaces, photoresist, polymeric films, and nonwo- ven fabrics made of PP and PET to an impedance matched parallel plate OAUGDP for durations ranging from one second to several tens of seconds. Data will be re- ported on the surface energy, wettability, wickability, and aging effect of polymeric films and fabrics as functions of time of exposure, and time after exposure; the rate and uniformity of photoresist etching; and the production of sub-micron structures by OAUGDP etching at one atmosphere. | J. | 11 | Characteristics of acoustic emission signals in damp cracking coal rocks显示文摘A uniaxial load experiment on coal rocks at different stress rates was carried out, based on the characteristics of acoustic emission (AE) signals in cracking coal rocks, decomposition, de-noising and reconstruction for the AE signals through wavelet packet transform for solving the current problems created by the presence of noise in AE signals and the existing problems in AE signal processing. The results show that the various characteristics of AE signals in coal rocks cracking under different situations can be clearly reflected, after the AE signals are de-noised by the wavelet packet. Compared to dry coal rocks, the number of AE occurrences in damp coal rocks was significantly reduced, as well as the average amplitude. The number of AE occurrences in damp and dry coal rocks clearly increased with increases in the loading rate, but the largest amplitude of the AE signals in damp coal rocks has been reduced. There is no clear evidence of change in dry coal rocks. | TANG Shoufeng, TONG Minming, HU Junli, HE Xinmin School of Information and Electrical Engineering, China University of Mining & Technology, Xuzhou 221008, China | 2010 | Mining Science and Technology2010,20,1: | 17
Performance prediction and flow analysis in the vaned distributor of a pump turbine under low flow rate in pump mode显示文摘The main goal of this work is to investigate the possible different flow patterns existing in pump turbine under off-design conditions in pump mode. Numerical simulations by solving the Navier-Stokes equation, coupled with the 'SST k-ω' turbulence model, were carried out. Flow characteristics were assumed to be stalled in the appropriate region of ?ow rate levels of Q/QD=0.15–0.61. The simulation result was compared with experimental data and they showed good agreement. Consequently, velocity fields in three axial locations in stay vanes and guide vanes were analysed in details. It was shown that 'jet-wake' flow pattern exists near the band, which changes little in the whole shape with flow rate increasing; to the middle location of vanes, reverse flow begins to appear on the interface between the runner and guide vanes, which will disappear gradually as the flow rate increases; massive reverse flow is captured near the crown, whose intensity will be weakened as the flow rate increases. Ultimately, it was found that the special head-flow profile can be ascribed to the special hydraulic loss characteristics of the stay vanes and guide vanes. | YIN JunLian1, LIU JinTao1, WANG LeQin1, JIAO Lei1, WU DaZhuan1 & QIN DaQing2 1 Institute of Chemical Machinery, Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou 310027, China 2 Harbin Institute of Large Electrical Machinery, Harbin 150001, China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,12: | 17
Design, analysis and control of hybrid excited doubly salient stator-permanent-magnet motor显示文摘In this paper,a new hybrid excited doubly salient stator-permanent-magnet motor is proposed, where both permanent magnets and DC field windings are located in the stator. In theory, the mathematical model and design method of the motor are developed. The corresponding output power equation and the relationship between the flux control capability and the extended speed range are deduced in details.By using an efficient 'one-step' three-dimensional(3D) finite element method, the electromagnetic performances are analyzed,in which the leakage flux outside the stator circumference and end-effect are taken into account.Based on the operation principle of the motor, the control strategy and scheme are developed and implemented experimentally. Both experimental results and finite element analysis show that the proposed motor not only maintains the advantages of doubly salient permanent magnet motors, but also offers high energy efficiency over a wide speed range, which makes the motor an interesting candidate for electric vehicles. | ZHU XiaoYong1,2 & CHENG Ming1 1 Engineering Research Center for Motion Control of MOE,School of Electrical Engineering,Southeast University,Nanjing 210096,China 2 School of Electrical and Information Engineering,Jiangsu University,Zhenjiang 212013,China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,1: | 16

Experiments and reaction characteristics of liquid phase simultaneous removal of SO_2 and NO显示文摘Experiments of simultaneous removal of SO2 and NO from simulated flue gas, using NaClO2 solution as the absorbent, were carried out in a self-designed bubble reactor, and high simultaneous removal effi-ciencies of SO2 and NO were obtained under the optimal experimental conditions. The mechanism of simultaneous removal based on NaClO2 acid solutions was proposed by analyzing the removal prod-ucts.Possibility and limitation of the desulfurization and denitrification using NaClO2 acid solutions were calculated by thermodynamic methods.Experimental results of reaction kinetics for simultaneous desulfurization and denitrification indicated that the oxidation-absorption processes of SO2 and NO were divided into two zones, namely the fast and slow reaction zones. In the slow reaction zones both were zero order reactions, and in the fast reaction zones, the reaction order, rate constant and activa-tion energy of SO2 reaction with absorbent were 1.4,1.22(mol.L-1)-0.4.s-1 and 66.25kJ.mol-1,respec-tively,and 2,3.15×103(mol.L-1)-1.s-1,and 42.50 kJ.mol-1 for NO reaction, respectively. | ZHAO Yi,LIU Feng,GUO TianXiang & ZHAO Yin School of Environmental Science and Engineering,North China Electric Power University,Baoding 071003,China | 2009 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,6: | 15
Object-oriented land cover classification using HJ-1 remote sensing imagery显示文摘The object-oriented information extraction technique was used to improve classification accuracy, and addressed the problem that HJ-1 CCD remote sensing images have only four spectral bands with moderate spatial resolution. We used two key techniques:the selection of optimum image segmentation scale and the development of an appropriate object-oriented information extraction strategy. With the principle of minimizing merge cost of merging neighboring pixels/objects,we used spatial autocorrelation index Moran's I and the variance index to select the optimum segmentation scale. The Nearest Neighborhood(NN) classifier based on sampling and a knowledge-based fuzzy classifier were used in the object-oriented information extraction strategy. In this classification step, feature optimization was used to improve information extraction accuracy using reduced data dimension. These two techniques were applied to land cover information extraction for Shanghai city using a HJ-1 CCD image. Results indicate that the information extraction accuracy of the object-oriented method was much higher than that of the pixel-based method. | SUN ZhongPing1,SHEN WenMing1,WEI Bin1,LIU XiaoMan1,SU Wei2,ZHANG Chao2 & YANG JianYu2 1 Satellite Environment Center,Ministry of Environmental Protection,Beijing 100094,China 2 College of Information and Electrical Engineering,China Agricultural University,Beijing 100083,China | 2010 | Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,S1: | 15

Deriving new operator identities by alternately using normally, antinormally, and Weyl ordered integration technique显示文摘Dirac's ket-bra formalism is the language of quantum mechanics. We have reviewed how to apply Newton-Leibniz integration rules to Dirac's ket-bra projectors in previous work.In this work,by alternately using the technique of integration within normal, antinormal, and Weyl ordering of operators we not only derive some new operator ordering identities, but also deduce some new integration formulas regarding Laguerre and Hermite polynomials. This may open a new route of directly deriving some complicated mathematical integration formulas by virtue of the quantum mechanical operator ordering technique, without really performing the integrations in the ordinary way. | FAN HongYi1,YUAN HongChun1 & JIANG NianQuan2 1Department of Physics,Shanghai Jiao Tong University,Shanghai 200030,China 2College of Physics and Electric Information,Wenzhou University,Wenzhou 325035,China | 2010 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,9: | 14
