1Molecular mechanisms of mesenchymal stem cell differentiation towards osteoblasts显示文摘Bone is a dynamic tissue that is constantly renewed by the coordinated action of two cell types, i.e., the bone-resorbing osteoclasts and the bone-forming osteoblasts. However, in some circumstances, bone regeneration exceeds bone self repair capacities. This is notably often the case after bone fractures, osteolytic bone tumor surgery, or osteonecrosis. In this regard,bone tissue engineering with autologous or allogenic mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) is been widely developed. MSCs can be isolated from bone marrow or other tissues such as adipose tissue or umbilical cord, and can be implanted in bone defects with or without prior amplification and stimulation. However, the outcome of most pre-clinical studies remains relatively disappointing. A better understanding of the successive steps and molecular mechanisms involved in MSC-osteoblastic differentiation appears to be crucial to optimize MSC-bone therapy. In this review, we first present the important growth factors that stimulate osteoblastogenesis. Then we review the main transcription factors that modulate osteoblast differentiation, and the microRNAs(miRs)that inhibit their expression. Finally, we also discuss articles dealing with the use of these factors and miRs in the development of new bone MSC therapy strategies. 3伊朗伊斯法罕新生儿重症监护中心新生儿气胸的发病因素、发生率和死亡率调查(英文)显示文摘目的该研究旨在调查伊朗伊斯法罕新生儿重症监护中心(NICU)住院新生儿气胸的发病因素、发生率和死亡率。方法 738例入住NICU的新生儿中,43例发生了气胸。回顾性分析气胸患儿的临床资料,包括胎龄、出生体重、Apgar评分、出生方式、母亲年龄、产次、围产期窒息、出生时复苏、气胸发生部位、机械通气情况、肺表面活性物质治疗、肺部疾病等。结果气胸患儿平均胎龄为31周,出生体重为1596g。12例(28%)患儿胎龄小于28周。28例(65%)出生体重低于1500g。共43例(5.8%)新生儿发生了气胸。97%的气胸为单侧(n=63),双侧气胸仅占3%(n=2)。呼吸窘迫综合征(40/43,93%)和机械通气(37/43,86%)是导致气胸发生的常见原因。共28例(65%)患儿死亡。死亡患儿与幸存患儿出生体重、胎龄及胸管留置时间差异有统计学意义。需要肺表面活性物质治疗的气胸患儿死亡率显著增加,与无需表面活性物质治疗的气胸患儿比较差异有统计学意义。结论该研究中气胸的发生率与死亡率高于其他报道,其原因可能是该研究中新生儿出生体重和胎龄都较低。呼吸窘迫综合征和机械通气是导致新生儿气胸发生的常见原因。患儿胎龄越小,体重越低,肺部疾病越严重,死亡率则越高。Fakhri NAVAEI Banafshe ALIABADI Masoud MOGHTADERI Roya KELISHADI 2010中国当代儿科杂志2010,12,6:6

5Range extension of four highland agamid lizards in Shimshal Pamir,Pakistan显示文摘As part of the Sino-Pak trans-boundary cooperation for conservation and sustainable development in Pamir border region,World Wild Fund (WWF)-Pakistan conducted a preliminary social,economic and ecological survey in the Shimshal-Pamir Lakes area in July 2009.The purpose of the study was to explore potentials and opportunities for future collaborative conservation of some species,habitats and high altitude ecosystems in the border region between China and Pakistan.The two-week herpetological study in the Shimshal Pamir area of Khunjerab National Park (KNP) along Pakistan-China border was an integral part of the survey,conducted exclu-sively to document reptilian fauna with a special emphasis on investigating their occurrence,distribution and status in the study area.Field investigations were performed during daytime when it was hot enough and reptiles were active,basking or feeding.A total of 15 specimens belonging to four species of the Agamidae family were captured by striking stones and beating bushes with sticks.Collected specimens were preserved using 10% formalin solution,tagged with field information and stored in Zoological Survey Department,Karachi for future reference.Laboratory investigations were carried out for pholidosic counts and morphometric measurements.A detailed review of relevant literature,habitat characteristics and laboratory investigations revealed the occurrence of Laudakia himalayana,L.pakistanica,L.tuberculata and L.badakhshana at 4,082 m,4,172 m,4,005 m and 4,240 m asl,respectively,which are much higher altitudes as compared to the previously reported heights of 3,353 m,3,200 m,2,500 m and 2,400 m asl.The terrain offers a variety of ecological barriers,in the form of fast and freezing running waters and massive glaciers with peculiar harsh climatic conditions prevailing for nine months of the year,which restricts species migration and thus increases endemism.Although one of the four species recorded from the study area,i.e.L.pakistanica is endemic to Pakistan,L.tuberculata and L.badakhshana are new records from Shimshal,Pakistan,so a detailed investigation is suggested for further herpetological records from the study area.Babar KHAN Waseem AHMED Abdukadir Ablimit Shamim FAKHRI Hassan ALI 2012Journal of Arid Land2012,4,1:2
6Two novel sets of UiO-66@metal oxide/graphene oxide Z-scheme heterojunction:Insight into tetracycline and malathion photodegradation显示文摘Nowadays,widespread researches have been focused on the development of effective photocatalysts to remove pollutants of the aquatic system.In accordance with the universal studies,two new sets of UiO-66@metal oxide(including ZnO and TiO2)/graphene oxide heterojunctions were synthesized for photodegradation of aromatic(tetracycline)and nonaromatic(malathion)pollutants which are challenging cases in the environment.The dosage of the photocatalyst,pH of the solution,the type of metal oxide,and the presence of various scavengers are assayed parameters in this work.In the optimum condition,maximum photodegradation efficiency is achieved in 90 min for tetracycline(81%)and malathion(100%)by the UiO-66@ZnO/graphene oxide.The superior separation of charge carriers by Z-scheme mechanism,excellent electron mobility on layers of graphene oxide and high surface area are factors that enhanced the efficiency.Furthermore,in comparison with pure UiO-66,the band gaps belong to heterojunctions revealed a red shift in the absorption edge,which can be responsible for more expand adsorption of the solar spectrum.Total organic carbon analysis verified the decontamination of these pollutants in the solution.The produced main intermediates during the photocatalytic process were identified and the possible degradation pathway proposed.In general,the superior photocatalytic activity suggests that these designed photocatalysts can be a promising choice for having a clean future.Hanieh Fakhri Hasan Bagheri 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,5:2
7Extension of Tao-Mason Equation of State to Heavy n-Alkanes显示文摘In our previous paper we extended the Tao and Mason equation of state (TM EOS) to refrigerant fluids, using the speed of sound data. This is a continuation for evaluating TM EOS in predicting PVT properties of heavy n-alkanes. Liquid density of long-chain n-alkane systems from C 9 to C 20 have been calculated using an analytical equation of state based on the statistical-mechanical perturbation theory. The second virial coefficients of these n-alkanes are scarce and there is no accurate potential energy function for their theoretical calculation. In this work the second virial coefficients are calculated using a corresponding state correlation based on surface tension and liquid density at the freezing point. The deviation of calculated densities of these alkanes is within 0.5% from experimental data. The densities of n-alkanes obtained from the TM EOS are compared with those calculated from Ihm-Song-Mason equation of state and the corresponding-states liquid densities (COSTALD).
