| 1 | Implementation of an energy-efficient scheduling scheme based on pipeline flux leak monitoring networks显示文摘Flow against pipeline leakage and the pipe network sudden burst pipe to pipeline leakage flow for the application objects,an energy-efficient real-time scheduling scheme is designed extensively used in pipeline leak monitoring. The proposed scheme can adaptively adjust the network rate in real-time and reduce the cell loss rate,so that it can efficiently avoid the traffic congestion. The recent evolution of wireless sensor networks has yielded a demand to improve energy-efficient scheduling algorithms and energy-efficient medium access protocols. This paper proposes an energy-efficient real-time scheduling scheme that reduces power consumption and network errors on pipeline flux leak monitoring networks. The proposed scheme is based on a dynamic modulation scaling scheme which can scale the number of bits per symbol and a switching scheme which can swap the polling schedule between channels. Built on top of EDF scheduling policy,the proposed scheme enhances the power performance without violating the constraints of real-time streams. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme enhances fault-tolerance and reduces power consumption. | 2 | Improved Implicit SPH Method for simulating free surface flows of power law fluids显示文摘Implicit smoothed particle hydrodynamics method has been proposed to overcome the problem that only very small time steps can be used for high viscosity fluids(such as power law fluids)in order to obtain a stable simulation.However,the pressure field is difficult to simulate correctly with this method because the numerical high-frequency noise on the pressure field cannot be removed.In this study,several improvements,which are the diffusive term in the continuity equation,the artificial viscosity and a simplified physical viscosity term in the momentum equation,are introduced,and a new boundary treatment is also proposed.The linear equations derived from the momentum equation are large-scale,sparse and positive definite but unsymmetrical,therefore,Conjugate Gradient Squared(CGS)is used to solve them.For the purpose of verifying the validity of the proposed method,Poiseuille flows with Newtonian and power law fluids are solved and compared with exact solution and traditional SPH.Drops of different fluid properties impacting a rigid wall are also simulated and compared with VOF solution.All the numerical results obtained by the proposed method agree well with available data.The proposed method shows the higher efficiency than traditional SPH and the less numerical noise on the pressure field and better stability than implicit SPH. | HAN YaWei QIANG HongFu HUANG QuanZhang ZHAO JiuLing | 2013 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,10: | 5 |
| 3 | Approach to inter-satellite time synchronization for micro-satellite cluster显示文摘Micro-satellite cluster enables a whole new class of missions for communications, remote sensing, and scientific research for both civilian and military purposes. Synchronizing the time of the satellites in a cluster is important for both cluster sensing capabilities and its autonomous operating. However, the existing time synchronization methods are not suitable for microsatellite cluster, because it requires too many human interventions and occupies too much ground control resource. Although, data post-process may realize the equivalent time synchronization, it requires processing time and powerful computing ability on the ground, which cannot be implemented by cluster itself. In order to autonomously establish and maintain the time benchmark in a cluster, we propose a compact time difference compensation system(TDCS), which is a kind of time control loop that dynamically adjusts the satellite reference frequency according to the time difference. Consequently, the time synchronization in the cluster can be autonomously achieved on-orbit by synchronizing the clock of other satellites to a chosen one's. | 4 | Biomass derived porous nitrogen doped carbon for electrochemical devices显示文摘Biomass derived porous nanostructured nitrogen doped carbon(PNC) has been extensively investigated as the electrode material for electrochemical catalytic reactions and rechargeable batteries. Biomass with and without containing nitrogen could be designed and optimized to prepare PNC via hydrothermal carbonization, pyrolysis, and other methods. The presence of nitrogen in carbon can provide more active sites for ion absorption, improve the electronic conductivity, increase the bonding between carbon and sulfur, and enhance the electrochemical catalytic reaction. The synthetic methods of natural biomass derived PNC, heteroatomic co-or tri-doping into biomass derived carbon and the application of biomass derived PNC in rechargeable Li/Na batteries, high energy density Li-S batteries, supercapacitors, metal-air batteries and electrochemical catalytic reaction(oxygen reduction and evolution reactions, hydrogen evolution reaction) are summarized and discussed in this review. | 5 | MINDTL: Multiple Incomplete Domains Transfer Learning for Information Recommendation显示文摘Collaborative filtering is the most popular and successful information recommendation technique. However, it can suffer from data sparsity issue in cases where the systems do not have sufficient domain information. Transfer learning, which enables information to be transferred from source domains to target domain, presents an unprecedented opportunity to alleviate this issue. A few recent works focus on transferring user-item rating information from a dense domain to a sparse target domain, while almost all methods need that each rating matrix in source domain to be extracted should be complete. To address this issue, in this paper we propose a novel multiple incomplete domains transfer learning model for cross-domain collaborative filtering. The transfer learning process consists of two steps. First, the user-item ratings information in incomplete source domains are compressed into multiple informative compact cluster-level matrixes, which are referred as codebooks. Second, we reconstruct the target matrix based on the codebooks. Specifically, for the purpose of maximizing the knowledge transfer, we design a new algorithm to learn the rating knowledge efficiently from multiple incomplete domains. | 7 | CARBON NANOTUBES VIA METHANE DECOMPOSITION ON AN ALUMINA SUPPORTED COBALT AEROGEL CATALYST显示文摘An alumina-supported cobalt aerogel catalyst prepared from a sol-gel and a supercritical drying method was used in the catalytic decomposition of methane. The physical-chemical properties of the catalyst were characterized and its activity for methane decomposition was investigated. The effects of calcination and reaction temperatures on the activity of the catalyst and the morphology of the carbon nanotubes produced were discussed. A CoAl2O4 spinel structure formed in the calcined catalyst. The quantity of the nanotubes produced in the reaction increases with the amount of cobalt in the reduced catalyst. A higher reaction temperature leads to a higher reaction rate, though faster deactivation of the catalyst occurs with the change. | 10 | UP-TreeRec: Building Dynamic User Profiles Tree for News Recommendation显示文摘Online news recommendation systems aim to address the information explosion of news and make personalized recommendations for users. The key problem of personalized news recommendation is to model users' interests and track their changes. A common way to deal with the user modeling problem is to build user profiles from observed behavior. However, the majority of existing methods make static representations of user profiles and little research has focused on effective user modeling that could dynamically capture user interests in news topics. To address this problem, in this paper, we propose UP-TreeRec, a news recommendation framework based on a user profile tree(UP-Tree), which is a novel framework combining content-based and collaborative filtering techniques. First, by exploiting a novel topic model namely UILDA, we obtain the representation vectors for news content in a topic space as the fundamental bridge to associate user interests with news topics. Next, we design a decision tree with a dynamically changeable structure to construct a user interest profile from the user's feedback. Furthermore, we present a clustering-based multidimensional similarity computation method to select the nearest neighbor of the UP-Tree efficiently. We also provide a Map-Reduce framework-based implemen-tation that enables scaling our solution to real-world news recommendation problems.
