| 1 | Endovascular treatment with or without intravenous alteplase for acute ischaemic stroke due to basilar artery occlusion显示文摘Background and purpose It remains controversial if endovascular treatment(EVT)can improve the outcome of patients with acute basilar artery occlusion(BAO).This study aims to compare the functional outcomes between EVT with and without intravenous thrombolysis(IVT)first in patients who had acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)due to BAO.Methods Patients who had AIS with BAO who underwent EVT within 24 hours of onset were enrolled in this multicentre cohort study,and the efficacy and safety were compared between IVT+EVT and direct EVT.The primary outcome was 90-day functional independence.All outcomes were assessed with adjusted OR(aOR)from the multivariable logistic regression.In addition,a meta-analysis was performed on all recently published pivotal studies on functional independence after EVT in patients with BAO.Results Of 310 enrolled patients with BAO,241(78%)were treated with direct EVT and 69(22%)with IVT+EVT.Direct EVT was associated with a worse functional outcome(aOR,0.46(95%CI 0.24 to 0.85),p=0.01).IVT+EVT was associated with a lower percentage of patients who needed≥3 passes of stent retriever(10.14%vs 20.75%).The meta-analysis regression revealed a potential positive correlation between bridging with IVT first and functional independence(r=0.14(95%CI 0.05 to 0.24),p<0.01).Conclusions This study showed that compared with direct EVT,EVT with IVT first was associated with better functional outcomes in patients with BAO treated within 24 hours of onset.The meta-analysis demonstrated similar favourable efficacy of IVT first followed by EVT in patients with BAO. | Ximing Nie David Wang Yuehua Pu Yufei Wei Qixuan Lu Hongyi Yan Xin Liu Lina Zheng Jingyi Liu Xinxuan Yang Yarong Ding Dacheng Liu Wanying Duan Zhe Zhang Zhonghua Yang Miao Wen Weibin Gu Xinyi Hou Xinyi Leng Yuesong Pan Zhongrong Miao Liping Liu | 2022 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,3: | 10 |
| 2 | Combining cold sintering and Bi_(2)O_(3)-Activated liquid-phase sintering to fabricate high-conductivity Mg-doped NASICON at reduced temperatures显示文摘The cold sintering process(CSP)and Bi_(2)O_(3)-activated liquid-phase sintering(LPS)are combined to densify Mg-doped NASICON(Na_(3.256)Mg_(0.128)Zr_(1.872)Si_(2)PO_(12))to achieve high densities and conductivities at reduced temperatures.As an example,a cold-sintered specimen with the addition of 1.1wt%Bi_(2)O_(3)sintering additive achieved a high conductivity of 0.91 mS/cm(with~96%relative density)after annealing at 1000℃;this conductivity is>70%higher than that of a cold-sintered specimen without adding the Bi_(2)O_(3)sintering additive,and it is>700%of the conductivity of a dry-pressed counterpart with the same amount of Bi_(2)O_(3)added,all of which are subjected to the same heating profile.The highest conductivity achieved in this study via combining CSP and Bi_(2)O_(3)-activated LSP is>1.5 mS/cm.This study suggests an opportunity to combine the new CSP with the traditional LPS to sinter solid electrolytes to achieve high densities and conductivities at reduced temperatures.This combined CSP-LPS approach can be extended to a broad range of other materials to fabricate the“thermally fragile”solid electrolytes or solid-state battery systems,where reducing the processing temperature is often desirable. | Haoyang Leng Jiuyuan Nie Jian Luo | 2019 | Journal of Materiomics2019,5,2: | 4 |
| 3 | Continuity Scaling: A Rigorous Framework for Detecting and Quantifying Causality Accurately显示文摘Data-based detection and quantification of causation in complex,nonlinear dynamical systems is of paramount importance to science,engineering,and beyond.Inspired by the widely used methodology in recent years,the cross-map-based techniques,we develop a general framework to advance towards a comprehensive understanding of dynamical causal mechanisms,which is consistent with the natural interpretation of causality.In particular,instead of measuring the smoothness of the cross-map as conventionally implemented,we define causation through measuring the scaling law for the continuity of the investigated dynamical system directly.The uncovered scaling law enables accurate,reliable,and eficient detection of causation and assessment of its strength in general complex dynamical systems,outperforming those existing representative methods.The continuity scaling-based framework is rigorously established and demonstrated using datasets from model complex systems and the real world. | Xiong Ying Si-Yang Leng Huan-Fei MaD Qing Nie Ying-Cheng Lai Wei Lin | 2022 | Research2022,,4: | 1 |
