Processing and mechanical properties of 2024 aluminum matrix composites containing Tungsten and Tantalum prepared by PM显示文摘The 2024 Al composites containing W, Ta were fabricated by powder metallurgy for their potential use as shielding material. W, Ta powders and gas-atomized 2024 Al aluminum powders were mixed by a ball mixer. The mixtures were consolidated by cold isostatic pressing (CIP) and then hot-extruded into full-density bars. The extruded bars were heat treated in T6 conditions. The microstructure and its relationship with the mechanical properties were investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The results show that the particles of nonuniform size and irregular shape randomly disperse in the 2024 aluminum alloy matrix. The tensile tests show that an increase of tensile strength and decrease of elongation to failure of the heat treated composites compared with the extruded composites.LIAN Youyun YANG Zhimin YANG Jian MAO Changhui 2006Rare Metals2006,25,z2:4
Preparation of Ti-Mo getters by injection molding显示文摘Ti-Mo getters have been fabricated via metal injection molding (MIM) using three kinds of Ti powders with different mean particle sizes of 46 μm,35 μm and 26 μm,respectively. The surface morphology, porosity, and hydrogen sorption properties of Ti-Mo getters formed by MIM using paraffin wax as a principal binder constituent were examined. It has been proven that the powder injection molding is a viable forming technique for porous Ti-Mo getters. The particle size of Ti powders and the powder loading influence the porosity of getters, and this affects the sorption capacity of Ti-Mo getters. Ti-Mo getters produced with the Ti powders possessing a mean particle size of 35 μm using a powder loading of 40 vol.% have a high porosity, resulting in a good sorption capacity.Zhao, Zhenmei Wei, Xiuying Xiong, Yuhua Mao, Changhui 2009Rare Metals2009,28,2:2

Dependence of dielectric properties on BT particle size in EP/BT composites显示文摘The polymer-ceramic composites of epoxy resin (EP) and barium titanate (BT) were prepared. BT powders of different BT particle sizes from 100 nm to 1 μm were used in the preparation. The dielectric properties, such as dielectric constant, dielectric loss and electrical breakdown strength, of the EP/BT composites were studied. The morphology of the composites was characterized by the means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results show that the dielectric constant of the composites is much higher than the epoxy matrix at frequency range from 1 kHz to 10 MHz, and it is also obviously dependent on the size of BT particles. The electrical breakdown strength of the composites decreases with the increase of the BT content. The dependence of electrical breakdown strength on BT particle sizes was also discussed.YANG Xiaojun YANG Zhimin MAO Changhui DU Jun 2006Rare Metals2006,25,z2:1
Series multilayer internal electrodes for high energy density glass-ceramic capacitors显示文摘The glass-ceramic dielectrics and internal electrode structures are investigated for improving the general energy storage density of capacitors. Calculation indicates that glass-ceramics acquired from glass matrix annealing at 850℃ for 3 hours can be approximately up to 17 J/cm3 in energy storage density. They are appropriately chosen as the dielectrics for preparing high energy storage density capacitors (HESDCs). A series multilayer structure of internal electrode is developed for the HESDCs, in which each layer is a combination of gold film and silver paste. This electrode structure promises the capacitor immune from the residual porosity defects inevitably brought by electrode paste sintering process, and specifically improves the electrical breakdown strength of the capacitor. Based on this new electrode structure, the energy storage densities of capacitors are increased by more than one order of magnitude compared with those traditional ones with only single layer of internal electrode. Thus, HESDCs based on the optimized glass-ceramic dielectrics can potentially achieve 7.5 J/cm3 in energy storage density, even taking into consideration the enlargement of total capacitor volumes while encapsulating practicable capacitors from dielectrics media.LUO Jun DU Jun TANG Qun MAO ChangHui 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,15:0
Electromagnetic and Microwave Absorbing Properties of Co-Substituted Nickel-Zinc Ferrite显示文摘Co-substituted Ni-Zn ferrite was prepared by a chemical codeposition. The electromagnetic properties, zero reflection conditions and simulated reflection losses of the samples were investigated. As a result, it is found that with Co contents rising, the saturation magnetization (Ms) shows a tendency of decrease, while coercivity (Hc) varies clearly. In addition, Ni-Zn ferrite with different cobalt content can meet zero reflection conditions. And the reflection loss calculation indicates that with the increase of cobalt contents, the reflection loss peak moves to high frequenc; moreover, to increase Co content more than 0.15, and the absorption intensity as well as the absorbing band of microwave absorber are enhanced obviously.Wu Laying Mao Changhui Yang Zhimin Su Lanying 2004Journal of Rare Earths2004,22,z2:0
Effect of annealing temperature on structure and electrochemical properties of LiCoO_2 cathode thin films显示文摘LiCoO2 thin films, which can be used as a cathode material in microbatteries, were deposited using radio frequency (r.f.) magnetron sputtering system from a LiCoO2 target and in an O2+Ar atmosphere. The films were characterized by various methods such as XRD, SEM and AFM. The LiCoO2 films were annealed in air at 300, 500, 700 and 800 ℃ respectively. The effect of the annealing temperature on the structure, the surface morphology and the electrochemical properties of the films were investigated. The LiCoO2 thin film deposited at room temperature is amorphous and has smaller grain size. With increasing of annealing temperature, the crystallinity of the films is promoted. When the annealing temperature increases to 700 ℃, the films have a perfect crystalline LiCoO2 phase. The LiCoO2 thin film without annealing has no discharge plateau and small discharge capacity (about 27 μAh·cm-2μm). The discharge capacity increases with the increasing of annealing temperature and reaches 47 μAh·cm-2μm for the film annealed with 700 ℃, which also shows the typical discharge plateau of 3.9 V. The cycle performance of LiCoO2 thin films of as grown and annealed at different temperatures were studied. In the case of the film without thermal treatment, the capacity fading is much faster than that of the film annealed at different temperature, showing about 40% capacity loss only after 25 cycles. However, in the case of the film annealed at 700 ℃, the capacity reaches to steady state gradually and maintained constantly with cycling. After 25 times cycling, the discharge capacity of the film annealed at 700 ℃ decreases to about 36.9 μAh·cm-2·μm, only 0.8% capacity loss per cycle.YANG Zhimin XING Guangjian YANG Jian MAO Changhui DU Jun 2006Rare Metals2006,25,z2:0
Effects of Na_2O content on crystallization and dielectric properties of Na_2O-PbO-Nb_2O_5-SiO_2 glass-ceramic显示文摘Na2O-PbO-Nb2O5-SiO2 glass-ceramic were synthesized by melt-quench process. The crystallization processing of the dielectric phases were carried out at temperature range from 750 to 900 ℃. The effects of Na2O content on crystallization and dielectric properties of Na2O-PbO-Nb2O5-SiO2 glass-ceramic were investigated by means of differential thermal analysis(DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and dielectric constant measurements. The results show that Pb2Nb2O7, NaNbO3 and PbNb2O6 are the crystallization phases which would be formed from the Na2O-PbO-Nb2O5-SiO2 glass at the temperature range from 750 to 900 ℃. For a definite Na2O content, the dielectric constant increases with crystallization temperature. The initial crystallization temperature of NaNbO3 phase decreases with the increase of Na2O content, leading to the increase of dielectric constant of the glass-ceramic. Formation of PbNb2O6 phase at 850 and 900 ℃ would greatly increase the dielectric constant of Na2O-PbO-Nb2O5-SiO2 glass-ceramics, but the increase of Na2O content will inhibit the crystallization of PbNb2O6 phase.GAO Jian MAO Changhui DU Jun TANG Qun 2006Rare Metals2006,25,z2:0
