| 1 | Ultrafine Grained HSLA Steels for Cold Forming显示文摘The industrial level production of ultrafine grained(or ultrafine ferrite)ferrous alloys was investigated through three examples of steels that complied with the EN 10149-2 Euronorm and were produced by advanced controlled hot rolling techniques.The steel samples were tension tested and chemically analyzed,and the microstructure was evaluated through quantitative metallographic techniques to determine parameters such as yield stress,amount of microalloying elements,strain hardening coefficient,grain size,and grain size distribution.These steels were microalloyed with Ti,Nb,and Mn with ASTM grain sizes of approximately 13-15.The careful control of chemical composition and deformation during production,giving a specific attention to the deformation sequences,austenite non-recrystallization temperatures and allotropic transformations during cooling,are indispensable to obtain steels with an adequate strain hardening coefficient that allows cold working operations such as bending,stretching or drawing. | R González J O García M A Barbés M J Quintana L F Verdeja J I Verdeja | 2010 | Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2010，17，10： | 7 |
| 2 | Less common etiologies of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency显示文摘Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency(EPI), an important cause of maldigestion and malabsorption, results from primary pancreatic diseases or secondarily impaired exocrine pancreatic function. Besides cystic fibrosis and chronic pancreatitis, the most common etiologies of EPI, other causes of EPI include unresectable pancreatic cancer, metabolic diseases(diabetes); impaired hormonal stimulation of exocrine pancreatic secretion by cholecystokinin(CCK); celiac or inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) due to loss of intestinal brush border proteins; and gastrointestinal surgery(asynchrony between motor and secretory functions, impaired enteropancreatic feedback, and inadequate mixing of pancreatic secretions with food). This paper reviews such conditions that have less straightforward associations with EPI and examines the role of pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy(PERT). Relevant literature was identified by database searches. Most patients with inoperable pancreatic cancer develop EPI(66%-92%). EPI occurs in patients with type 1(26%-57%) or type 2 diabetes(20%-36%) and is typically mild to moderate; by definition, all patients with type 3 c(pancreatogenic) diabetes have EPI. EPI occurs in untreated celiac disease(4%-80%), but typically resolves on a gluten-free diet. EPI manifests in patients with IBD(14%-74%) and up to 100% of gastrointestinal surgery patients(47%-100%; dependent on surgical site). With the paucity of published studies on PERT use for these conditions, recommendations for or against PERT use remain ambiguous. | 3 | Burn injury induces histopathological changes and cellproliferation in liver of rats显示文摘AIM: To investigate effects of severe burn injury(BI) in rat liver through the histopathological and inflammatory markers analysis. METHODS: Forty-two male Wistar rats were distributed into two groups, control(C) and subjected to scald BI(SBI). The animals were euthanized one, four and 14 d post sham or 45% of the total body surface BI. Liver fragments were submitted to histopathological, morphoquantitative(hepatocyte area and cell density), ciclooxigenase-2(COX-2) immunoexpression, and gene expression [real-time polymerase chain reaction for tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α, inducible nitric oxide synthase(i NOS) and caspase-3] methods. RESULTS: Histopathological findings showed inflammatory process in all periods investigated and hepatocyte degeneration added to increased amount of connective tissue 14 d post injury. Hepatocyte area, the density of binucleated hepatocytes and density of sinusoidal cells of SBI groups were increased when compared with control. COX-2 immunoexpression was stronger in SBI groups. No differences were found in TNF-α, i NOS and caspase-3 gene expression.
