Boundary-processing-technique in EMD method and Hilbert transform显示文摘By virtue of neural network, a series of signals is extended forward and backward, as a result, two additional maxima and two additional minima are obtained at both ends of the original data set, with which the EMD decomposition can be exactly achieved with cubic spline interpolation. Meanwhile, by using of neural network every IMF component can also be extended forward and backward, which effectively restrains the end effect, thus the veracious Hilbert spectra are achieved. Verifications of the sample signals and the actual surface elevation of sea waves show that the present extension method is relatively accurate. | DENG Yongjun, WANG Wei, QIAN Chengchun, WANG Zhong & DAI DejunNetwork Center, Ocean University of Qingdao. | 2 | Mianlüe tectonic zone and Mianlüe suture zone on southern margin of Qinling-Dabie orogenic belt显示文摘The Mianle tectonic zone (Mianle zone), an ancient suture zone in addition to the Shangdan suture in the Qinling-Dabie orogenic belt, marks an important tectonic division geo-logically separating north from south and connecting east with west in China continent. To de-termine present structural geometry and kinematics in the Mianle tectonic zone and to recon-struct the formation and evolution history involving plate subduction and collision in the Qinling-Dabie orogenic belt, through a multidisciplinary study, are significant for exploring the mountain-building orogenesis of the central orogenic system and the entire process of the major Chinese continental amalgamation during the Indosinian. | ZHANG Guowei1, DONG Yunpeng1, LAI Shaocong1, GUO Anlin1, MENG Qingren2, LIU Shaofeng3, CHENG Shunyou1, YAO Anping1, ZHANG Zongqing4, PEI Xianzhi5 & LI Sanzhong6 1. | 4 | Expression of p53 and C-myc genes and its clinical relevance in the hepatocellular carcinomatous and pericarcinomatous tissues显示文摘AIM: To investigate the possible roles of p53 and C-mycgenes in the primary hepatocellular carcinogenesis and therelationship between the liver hyperplastic nodule(LHN) andhepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).METHODS: The expression of p53 and C-myc genes wasdetected immunohist-ochemically in 73 and 60 cases of HCCand pericarcinomatous tissues, respectively .RESULTS: The positive expression of p53 in HCC wassignificantly higher than that in pericarcinomatous tissues(P<0.05). In pericarcinomatous tissues, the p53 expressionwas observed only in LHN, but not in liver cirrhosis (LC) andnormal liver tissues. The positive expression rate of C-mycin HCC or LHN was significantly higher than that in LC ornormal liver tissues (P<0.05 and P<0.01), however, nosignificant difference was found between HCC and LHN(P>0.05). The positive expression rate of p53 and C-myc inHCC was correlated with the histological differentiation, thatin the poorly differentiated was significantly higher than thatin well differentiated samples (P<0.05).CONCLUSION: The overexpression of p53 and C-myc genesmight play a role in the carcinogenesis of HCC; And LHNseems a preneoplastic lesion related to hepatocarcinogenesis; No evidence supports that LC contribute directly to thehepatocarcinogenesis. | Zhao-Shan Niu Bo-Kian Li Department of Pathology,Medical College of Qingdao University,Qingdao 266021,Shandong Province,China Mei Wang Department of Foreign languages,Qingdao institute of Architecture and Engineering,Qingdao 266033,Shandong Province,China | 2002 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2002,8,5: | 30
Development of Finite Element Limiting Analysis Method and Its Applications in Geotechnical Engineering显示文摘The Finite Element Limiting Analysis Method(LELAM) has the advantage of combining a numerical analysis method with traditional limiting equilibrium methods. It is particularly applicable to the analysis and design of geotechnical engineering. In the early 20th century,FELAM has been developed vigorously in domestic geotechnical engineering over international common finite element procedures. It has made great achievements in basic theory research and computational precision, thus broadening the application fields in practical projects. In order to gradually make innovations in geotechnical design methods, some of our research results are presented, mainly including geotechnical safety factor definitions, the principles for use of the method concerned, the overall failure criterion, the deduction and selection of the yield criterion, and the measurement to improve the computational precision,etc..The application field has been broadened from two-dimensional to three-dimensional,from soil slope to jointed rock slope and foundation, from stable seepage to non-stable seepage, from slope and foundation to tunnel. This method has also been used in search of many hidden sliding surfaces of complex landslides, conducting the structural support design considering the interaction between the soil and the structure, and computing simulation foundation bearing plates load tests,etc.. | Zheng Yingren1,Deng Chujian1,Zhao Shangyi1,Tang Xiangsong1,Liu Mingwei1,Zhang Liming2(1 Department of Civil Engineering,Logistical Engineering University,Chongqing 400041,China 2 Department of Science and Information Engineering,Qingdao Technological University,Qingdao 266033,China) | 2007 | 工程科学(英文版)2007,5,3: | 27
The Late Mesozoic Orogenic Processes of Mongolia-Okhotsk Orogen: Evidence from Field Investigations into Deformation of the Mohe Area, NE China显示文摘Based on field investigation in 1999, two deformational domains with d ifferent dynamics have been distinguished from the Jurassic geological outcrops in the Mohe area of NE China, i.e. northern ductile and southern plastic-brittl e ones. Their deformational features are stated in this paper. And then, three st ages of structural deformation of the area relative to the late Mesozoic orogeni c processes of Mongolian-Okhotsk orogen are reconstructed as follows, (1) south w ards thrusting in the middle-late Jurassic, (2) eastwards thrusting and strike -s lipping parallel to the orogen in the late Jurassic, and (3) southeastwards thru sting in the early Cretaceous. | Li Jinyi, He Zhengjun, Mo Shenguo and (Institute of Geology, CAGS, Beijing 100037, China) Zheng Qingdao (Heilongjiang Bureau of Exploration and Exploitation of Geology and M ineral Resources, Ha’erbin 150036, China) | 1999 | Global Geology1999,4,2: | 26
Preliminary study on seasonal succession and development pathway of phytoplankton community in the Bohai Sea显示文摘Phytoplankton species composition and species succession were determined in 1998-1999 based on 2 nestle investigation cruises in the Bohai Sea and two monthly monitoring stations at Penglai and Changdao for 15 months. The seasonal succession and pathway of phytoplankton community in the Bohai Sea were discussed complementarily with history data. The main process of Phytoplankton community development in the Bohai Sea was controlled by temperature and nutrient replenishes. There were two cell abundance peaks in an annual variation, the main peak in April and the secondary peak in September. In winter, the cell abundance was low due to the low temperature, the phytoplankton community was mainly made up of small-celled diataoms. In spring, the phytoplankton community was developed very quickly by small-celled diatom in suitable conditions of temperature and nutrients. In summer, the cell abundance decreased and big-celled diatoms became predominated. In autumn, because of the replenish of nutrient, big-celled diatoms and dinoflagellates formed another cell abundance peak. during the annual variation of phytoplankton community in the Bohai Sea, species succession was the main process of community development, the species sequence just occur at special areas and special periods. The evolution of phytoplankton community in the Bohai Sea accords with the hypothesis of Margalef’s phytoplankton community of four stages. But the size feature is contrary to the hypothesis, which may be caused by nutrient replenish in autumn in Bohai Sea and the top to down control. | Sun Jun, Liu Dongyan, Qian Shuben (1. | 8 | Permeability analysis of fractured vuggy porous media based on homogenization theory显示文摘Based on the characteristics of fractured vuggy porous media,a novel mathematical model was proposed to model fluid flow in such media on fine scale,i.e.,the discrete fracture-vug network model. The new model consists of three systems:porous rock system, fracture system, and vug system. The fractures and vugs are embedded in porous rock, and the isolated vugs could be connected via the discrete fracture network. The flow in porous rock and fractures follows Darcy's law,and the vugs system is free fluid region.Using a two-scale homogenization limit theory,we obtained a macroscopic Darcy's law governing the media on coarse scale. The theoretical formula of the equivalent permeability of the fractured vuggy porous media was derived. The model and method of this paper were verified by some numerical examples. At the end the permeability of some fractured vuggy porous media with typical fracture-vug structures was analyzed. | HUANG ZhaoQin,YAO Jun,LI YaJun,WANG ChenChen&LüXinRui College of Petroleum Engineering,China University of Petroleum,Qingdao 266555,China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,3: | 22
Formation of the Permian basalts and implications of geochemical tracing for paleo-tectonic setting and regional tectonic background in the Turpan-Hami and Santanghu basins,Xinjiang显示文摘The Turpan-Hami and Santanghu basins are the late Paleozoic-Mesozoic-Cenozoic re-worked intracontinental basins that superposed on the folded basement of the Paleozoic orogenic belt. 40Ar/39Ar geochronological study of the basalts developed in the basins reveals that the formation period is Permain (293—266 Ma). From geochemical comparison of the basalts, the Santanghu basalts exhibit a strong depletion in Nb and Ta, and a selective enrichment in HFSE, reflecting that the source region is influenced by the subducted components related to subduction of the ancient oceanic crust and characterized with “lagged arc volcanic rocks”. In contrast, the Turpan-Hami basalts show a slight depletion in Nb and Ta, high Th/Ta ratio, similar to the basalts formed in an intracontinental ex-tensional zone or in an initial rift. Combined with the formation period of the ophiolite and ophiolite mélange zones and regional magmatic activities occurring on the post-orogenic extensional back-ground in northern Xinjiang, it can be inferred from these geochemical characteristics that the tectonic background for forming the Turpan-Hami and Santanghu basins is closely related to the regional ex-tension after the continent-continent collisional orogeny. The basalts of the two basins came from different sources on the post-orogenic extensional background of the similar basin-forming dynamics. Although the settings are all intracontinental rift, the source for the Santanghu basalts is obviously subjected to the metasomatism of the subducted components, implying the existence of the previous subduction. | ZHOU Dingwu1,2, LIU Yiqun1,2, XING Xiujuan1, HAO Jianrong1, DONG Yunpeng1 & OUYANG Zhengjian1 1. | 10 | Relationship between expression of E-cadherin-catenin complex and clinicopathologic characteristics of pancreatic cancer显示文摘AIM: To investigate the expression of E-cadherin and alpha-catenin and beta-catenin in pancreatic carcinoma and itsrelationship with the clinicopathologic characteristics, andclarify the mechanism of invasion and metastasis ofpancreatic cancer.METHODS: The expression of E-cadherin and alpha-, beta-catenin was examined in 47 cases of infiltrative ductaladenocarcinoma of pancreas and 12 adult normal pancreatictissues by immunohistochemical technique.RESULTS: The immunoreactivity of E-cadherin and alpha-,beta-catenin was expressed by normal ductal and acinarcells with strong membranous staining at the intercellularborder in 12 cases of adult normal pancreatic tissues. Abnormalexpression of E-cadherin and alpha-, beta-catenin in 47pancreatic carcinoma tissues was demonstrated in 53.2 %,61.7 % and 68.1%, respectively. Both abnormal expressionof E-cadherin and alpha-catenin significantly correlated withdifferentiation, lymph node and liver metastases (P<0.05,respectively), whereas aberrant beta-catenin expression onlycorrelated with lymph node and liver metastases (P<0.001).Abnormal E-cadherin and alpha-, beta-catenin expressionwas not associated with tumor size, invasion and survivaltime of patients (P>0.05, all).CONCLUSION: Pancreatic cancer likely occurs in case ofE-cadherin-catenin complex genes mutations or deletionsand abnormal expression of proteins, which significantlycorrelate with the biologic character of the tumor and lymphnode and liver metastases. It is suggested that the abnormalE-cadherin-catenin complex expression plays an importantrole in the development and progression of tumor, and thusmay become a new marker in pancreatic cancer metastasis. | Yu-Jun Li Xiang-Rui Ji Department of Pathology, the Affiliated Hospital of Medical College, Qingdao University, Qingdao 266003, Shandong Province, China | 2003 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2003,9,2: | 18
Nutrients concentration and changes in decade-scale in the central Bohai Sea显示文摘The nutrients contents and distributions are discussed briefly, based on the data obtained in 1998~1999. Besides explanation of the results,a 20 a time series data of nutrients and biological parameters for central Bohai Sea are reviewed. It is found that both concentration and relative content of nutrients have been changed dramatically. The increase of nitrogen and decrease of phosphate and silicate led to the dramatically increase of N/P ratio and the decrease of Si/N ratio. The situation of nitrogen limiting in central Bohai Sea is gradually changing to that of relative lack of phosphate and silicate. The decrease of the Huanghe River input to the Bohai Sea may be responsible for this change. These in turn may limit the growth of diatom and thus promote the development of pyrrophyta if other conditions (e.g. temperature and hydrodynamics) are suitable. We conclude that this may be the major inducement factor of pyrrophyta red tide in the Bohai Sea. | Yu Zhigang 1,Mi Tiezhu 1,Yao Qingzhen 1,Xie Baodong 1,Zhang Jing 11 .CollegeofChemistryandChemicalEngineering ,OceanUniversityofQingdao ,Qingdao 2 6 6 0 0 3 ,China | 2001 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2001,20,1: | 18

Ancient Changjiang channel system in the East China Sea continental shelf during the last glaciation显示文摘Based on the data of high-resolution seismic profiles, an ancient river channel sys-tem of the last glaciation occurred along the Zhedong and Xihu depression in the southeast of Hupijiao rise. The distribution of the channel fill system shows that the ancient Changjiang River went through the Changjiang depression into the low land plain of the outside continental shelf during the low sea level cycle of the last glaciation. The big channel fill into Okinawa Trough is not found due to the depletion of the river kinetic energy in the low land plain. The river discharge dispersal was of an important role to the dilution of the northern Okinawa Trough sea at that time. Six ancient river channel systems (A―F), which are main distributaries of ancient Changjiang in the East China Sea continental shelf during the last glaciation, may be buried off the modern Changjiang estuary. The distribution of these channels coincides with the zonal elevations in the sea floor. | LI Guangxue1,2, LIU Yong1, YANG Zigeng3, YUE Shuhong4, YANG Wenda5 & HAN Xibin1 1. | 18 | Establishment of a novel corneal endothelial cell line from domestic rabbit,Oryctolagus curiculus显示文摘To develop a rabbit corneal endothelial (RCE) cell line, in vitro culture of RCE cells was initiated from Oryctolagus curiculus corneas and a novel RCE cell line was established in this study. To initiate the primary culture of RCE cells, corneas from rabbit eyes were sliced and attached into glutin-coated wells with endothelial cell surface down. After being cultured at a time-gradient interval from 48 to 6 h, the corneal slices were detached and reattached into new wells, respectively. Cells in the wells containing only a pure population of RCE cells were collected and cultured in 20% FBS-DMEM/F12 medium con- taining chondroitin sulfate, ocular extract, epidermal growth factor (EGF), basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), carboxymethyl-chitosan, N-acetylglucosamine hydrochloride, glucosamine hydrochloride, culture medium of rabbit corneal stromal cells and oxidation-degradation products of chondroitin sul- fate at 37℃, 5% CO2. The cultured RCE cells, in quadrangle and polygonal shapes, proliferated to con- fluence 3 weeks later. During the subsequent subculture, the shape of RCE cells changed gradually from polygonal to more fibroblastic. A novel RCE cell line, growing at a steady rate, with a population doubling time of 53.8 h, has been established and subcultured to passage 67. Chromosome analysis showed that the RCE cells exhibited chromosomal aneuploidy with the modal chromosome number of 44. The results of immuno-cytochemical staining with neuron specific enolase (NSE) confirmed that the RCE cells were in neuroectodermal origin. Combined with the results of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) treatment and endothelial cell morphology recovery, it can be concluded that the cell line established here is an RCE cell line. This RCE cell line may serve as a useful tool in theoretical re- searches of mammalian corneal endothelial cells, and may also have potential application in artificial corneal endothelium development. | FAN TingJun, ZHAO Jun, FU YongFeng, CONG RiShan, GUO RuiChao, LIU WanShun, HAN BaoQin, YU QiuTao & WANG JingCollege of Marine Life Sciences, Division of Life Science and Technology, Ocean University of China, Qingdao 266003, China | 2007 | Science China(Life Sciences)2007,50,2: | 15
Parameters in wind-wave frequency spectra and their bearings on spectrum forms and growth显示文摘The spectrum variance m0, peak frequency ω0 and peakness factor p are expressed in terms of nondimensional fetch and duration by making use of relations which are derived through comparing and analyzing existing empirical formulas for the growth of significant wave height and period. The main features of spectrum growth as specified by these parameters agree with those of the JONS-WAP experiments. For given wind speed and fetch, the high frequency parts beyond the peaks of shallow water spectra almost coincide with that of the corresponding deep water spectrum, whereas the low frequency parts differ appreciably. The method developed in this paper predicts smaller significant wave height as well as smaller wave period for shallow water spectra in contrast to the theoretical result of Kitaigorodskii ef al, in which the peak frequency, and consequently the significant wave period, remains basically unchanged for different water depths. | 20 | Application of cusp catastrophe theory to reliability analysis of slopes in open-pit mines显示文摘A method of slope reliability analysis was developed by imposing a state equation on the limit equilibrium theory, given the basis of a fixed safety factor technique. Among the many problems of reliability analysis, the most important problem is to find a performance function. We have created a new method of building a limit state equation for planar slip surfaces by applying the mathematical cusp catastrophe theory. This new technique overcomes the defects in the traditional rigid limit equilibrium theory and offers a new way for studying the reliability problem of planar slip surfaces. Consequently, we applied the technique to a case of an open-pit mine and compared our results with that of the traditional approach. From the results we conclude that both methods are essentially consistent, but the reliability index calculated by the traditional model is lower than that from the catastrophic model. The catastrophe model takes into consideration two possible situations of a slope being in the limit equilibrium condition, i.e., it may or may not slip. In the traditional method, however, a slope is definitely considered as slipping when it meets the condition of a limit equilibrium. We conclude that the catastrophe model has more actual and instructive importance compared to the traditional model. | YANG Kun, WANG Tongxu, MA Zhitao Key Laboratory of Mine Disaster Prevention and Control, Shandong University of Science and Technology, Qingdao 266510, China | 2010 | Mining Science and Technology2010,20,1: | 15
