| 1 | Facile,Noncovalent Decoration of Graphene Oxide Sheets with Nanocrystals显示文摘Facile dry decoration of graphene oxide sheets with aerosol Ag nanocrystals synthesized from an arc plasma source has been demonstrated using an electrostatic force directed assembly technique at room temperature.The Ag nanocrystal-graphene oxide hybrid structure was characterized by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and selected area diffraction.The ripening of Ag nanocrystals on a graphene oxide sheet was studied by consecutive TEM imaging of the same region on a sample after heating in Ar at elevated temperatures of 100°C,200°C,and 300°C.The average size of Ag nanocrystals increased and the number density decreased after the annealing process.In particular,migration and coalescence of Ag nanocrystals were observed at a temperature as low as 100°C,suggesting a van der Waals interaction between the Ag nanocrystal and the graphene oxide sheet.The availability of affordable graphene-nanocrystal structures and their fundamental properties will open up new opportunities for nanoscience and nanotechnology and accelerate their applications. | Ganhua Lu Shun Mao Sungjin Park Rodney S.Ruoff Junhong Chen | 2009 | Nano Research2009,2,3: | 13 |
| 2 | Carbon-coated manganese dioxide nanoparticles and their enhanced electrochemical properties for zinc-ion battery applications显示文摘In this study, we report the cost-effective and simple synthesis of carbon-coated α-MnO_2nanoparticles(α-MnO_2@C) for use as cathodes of aqueous zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs) for the first time. α-MnO_2@C was prepared via a gel formation, using maleic acid(C_4H_4O_4) as the carbon source, followed by annealing at low temperature of 270 °C. A uniform carbon network among the α-MnO_2 nanoparticles was observed by transmission electron microscopy. When tested in a zinc cell, the α-MnO_2@C exhibited a high initial discharge capacity of 272 m Ah/g under 66 m A/g current density compared to 213 m Ah/g, at the same current density, displayed by the pristine sample. Further, α-MnO_2@C demonstrated superior cycleability compared to the pristine samples. | 3 | Metal organic framework-combustion: A one-pot strategy to NiO nanoparticles with excellent anode properties for lithium ion batteries显示文摘NiO nanoparticles with average particles size of 30 nm are synthesized using a one-pot metal–organic framework-combustion(MOF-C) technique, for use as an anode material in rechargeable lithium ion batteries(LIBs). The structural and electronic properties of these nanoparticles are studied using various techniques, including powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), and N_2 adsorption/desorption studies. The as-synthesized NiO nanoparticles sustained reversible stable capacities of 748 and 410 mAh/g at applied current densities of 500 and 1000 m A/g, respectively, after 100 cycles. Furthermore, the anode displays a notable rate capability, achieving a stable capacity of ~200 mAh/g at a high current density of10 A/g. These results indicate that the size of the NiO nanoparticles and their high surface area influence their electrochemical properties. | 4 | Ultrafine Sn_(4)P_(3)nanocrystals from chloride reduction on mechanically activated Na surface for sodium/lithium ion batteries显示文摘Nanostructured metal phosphides are very attractive materials in energy storage and conversion,but their applications are severely limited by complicated preparation steps,harsh conditions and large excess of highly toxic phosphorus source.Here we develop a highly efficient one-step method to synthesize Sn_(4)P_(3)nanostructure based on simultaneous reduction of SnCl_(4)and PCl_(3)on mechanically activated Na surface and in situ phosphorization.The low-toxic PCl3 displays a very high phosphorizing efficiency(100%).Furthermore,this simple method is powerful to control phosphide size.Ultrafine Sn_(4)P_(3)nanocrystals(<5 nm)supported on carbon sheets(Sn_(4)P_(3)/C)are obtained,which is due to the unique bottom-up surface-limited reaction.As the anode material for sodium/lithium ion batteries(SIBs/LIBs),the Sn_(4)P_(3)/C shows profound sodiation/lithiation extents,good phase-conversion reversibility,excellent rate performance and long cycling stability,retaining high capacities of 420 mAh/g for SIBs and 760 mAh/g for LIBs even after 400 cycles at 1.0 A/g.Combining simple and efficient preparation,low-toxic and high-efficiency phosphorus source and good control of nanosize,this method is very promising for low-cost and scalable preparation of high-performance Sn_(4)P_(3)anode. | Zhiliang Liu Xiangxi Wang Zhuoyan Wu Sungjin Yang Shaolei Yang Shunpeng Chen Xinteng Wu Xinghua Chang Piaoping Yang Jie Zheng Xingguo Li | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,11: | 4 |
| 5 | Phase-pure Na3V2(PO4)2F3 embedded in carbon matrix through a facile polyol synthesis as a potential cathode for high performance sodium-ion batteries显示文摘In this study,a pseudo-layered Na super-ionic conductor of Na3V2(PO4)2F3 (NVPF)/C cathode for sodium-ion batteries is prepared successfully using a facile polyol refluxing process without any impurity phases.The X-ray diffraction and Rietveld refinement results confirm that NVPF possesses tetragonal NASICON-type lattice with a space group of P42/mnm.In this preparative method,polyol is utilized as a solvent as well as a carbon source.The presence of nanosized NVPF particles in the carbon network is confirmed by field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM).The existence of carbon is analyzed by Raman scattering and elemental analysis.When applied as a Na-storage material in a potential window of 2.0-4.3 V,the electrode exhibits two flat voltage plateaus at 3.7 and 4.2 V with an electrochemically active V^3+/V^4+ redox couple.In addition,Na3V2(PO4)2F3/C composite achieved a retention capacity of ~ 88% even after 1,500 cycles at 15 C.Moreover,at high current densities of 30 and 50 C,Na3V2(PO4)2F3/C cathode retains the specific discharge capacities of 108.4 and 105.9 mAh·g-1,respectively,revealing the structural stability of the material prepared through a facile polyol refluxing method. | Sohyun Park Jinju Song Seyeon Kim Balaji Sambandam Vinod Mathew Sungjin Kim Jeonggeun Jo Seokhun Kim Jaekook Kim | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,4: | 4 |
