2New technology to examine and improve the purity of hybrid rice with herbicide resistant gene显示文摘The herbicide resistant bar gene has been widely used as selectable marker genes in the study on plant genetic transformation. Owing to the integration of the gene into rice genome, transgenic rice was resistant to the herbicide Basta. Therefore, selection of transgenic plant and genetic analysis became easier. In the studies, bar gene was introduced as a genetic marker gene into rice restore line variety of two-line or three-line. Combined with conventional breeding method, the good herbicide resistant individual plant was derived as the new restore line for hybrid combination. After sprayed with Basta at seedling phase, the real hybrid rice that had herbicide resistance could grow normally, while the fake hybrid rice and weeds, having no bar gene, were killed by herbicide. 5Honeycomb-like carbon materials derived from coffee extract via a “salty” thermal treatment for high-performance Li-I2 batteries显示文摘Sustainable,conductive,and porous carbon materials are ideal for energy storage materials.In this study,honeycomb-like carbon materials(HCM)are synthesized via a“salty”thermal treatment of abundant and sustainable coffee extract.Systematic materials characterization indicates that the as-prepared HCM consists of heteroatoms(N and O,etc.)doped ultra-thin carbon framework,possesses remarkable specific surface area,and excellent electrical conductivity.Such properties bestow HCM outstanding materials to be the blocking layer for Li-I2 battery,significantly eliminating the dissolution of I2 in the cathode region and stopping the I2 from shutting to anode compartment.Furthermore,our electrochemical investigation suggests that HCM could incur surface pseudo-capacitive iodine-ions charge storage and contribute additional energy storage capacity.As a result,the resultant Li-I2 battery achieves a robust and highly reversible capacity of 224.5 mAh·g−1 at the rate of 10 C.Even under a high rate of 50 C,the remarkable capacity of the as-prepared Li-I2 battery can still be maintained at 120.2 mAh·g−1 after 4000 cycles.Zhong Su Han Yeu Ling Meng Li Shangshu Qian Hao Chen Chao Lai Shanqing Zhang 2020Carbon Energy2020,2,2:5
6GREEN QUASIFUNCTION METHOD FOR FREE VIBRATION OF CLAMPED THIN PLATES显示文摘The Green quasifunction method is employed to solve the free vibration problem of clamped thin plates.A Green quasifunction is established by using the fundamental solution and boundary equation of the problem.This function satisfies the homogeneous boundary condition of the problem.The mode shape differential equation of the free vibration problem of clamped thin plates is reduced to Fredholm integral equation of the second kind by Green formula.Irregularity of the kernel of integral equation is overcome by choosing a suitable form of the normalized boundary equation.Two examples demonstrate the validity of the present method.Comparison with both the series solution and ANSYS finite-element solution shows fine agreement.The present method is a novel and effective mathematical one.Shanqing Li Hong Yuan 2012Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2012,25,1:5

8A hydrophilic poly(methyl vinyl ether-alt-maleic acid) polymer as a green, universal, and dual-functional binder for high-performance silicon anode and sulfur cathode显示文摘Binders could play crucial or even decisive roles in the fabrication of low-cost, stable and high-capacity electrodes. This is especially the case for the silicon (Si) anodes and sulfur (S) cathodes that undergo large volume change and active material loss in lithium-ion batteries during prolonged cycles. Herein, a hydrophilic polymer poly(methyl vinyl ether-alt-maleic acid) (PMVEMA) was explored as a dual-functional aqueous binder for the preparation of high-performance silicon anode and sulfur cathode. Benefiting from the dual functions of PMVEMA, i.e., the excellent dispersion ability and strong binding forces, the as-prepared electrodes exhibit improved capacity, rate capability and long-term cycling performance. In particular, the as-prepared Si electrode delivers a high initial discharge capacity of 1346.5 mAh g^(−1) at a high rate of 8.4 A/g and maintains 834.5 mAh g^(−1) after 300 cycles at 4.2 A/g, while the as-prepared S cathode exhibits enhanced cycling performance with high remaining discharge capacities of 663.4 mAh g^(−1) after 100 cycles at 0.2 C and 487.07 mAh g^(−1) after 300 cycles at 1 C, respectively. 9Photoelectrocatalytic activity of an ordered and vertically aligned TiO2 nanorod array/BDD heterojunction electrode显示文摘Rutile TiO_2 nanorod(TiNR) arrays were fabricated on a boron-doped diamond(BDD) substrate by a simple hydrothermal synthesis method. A fluorine-doped tin oxide(FTO) electrode grown with TiNR arrays was also prepared using the same technology for comparison. Field-emission scanning electron microscopy results show that oriented TiNR arrays can grow vertically on the surface of BDD and FTO electrodes. TiNR arrays grown on both electrodes had the same length(3 μm). In comparison with the TiNR/FTO electrode, the TiNR/BDD electrode demonstrated a higher photoelectrocatalytic activity for the degradation of water and organic compounds, which is mostly attributed to the formation of a p-n heterojunction between the TiNR arrays and BDD at high potential, apart from the density of TiNR. A linear relationship between the photoelectrocatalytic current and the organic concentration can be observed on both electrodes. 10Cold spray additive manufacturing of Invar 36 alloy:microstructure,thermal expansion and mechanical properties显示文摘In this work,the Invar 36 alloys were manufactured using cold spray(CS)additive manufacturing technique.The systematic investigations were made on the microstructural evolution,thermal expansion and mechanical properties under as-sprayed(AS)and heat-treated(HT)conditions.XRD(X-ray diffraction)and ICP-AES(inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy)analyses show that no phase transformation,oxidation,nor element content change have occurred.The X-ray computed tomography(XCT)exhibited a near fully dense structure with a porosity of 0.025%in the helium-produced sample under as-sprayed condition,whereas the nitrogen-produced samples produced at 5 MPa and 800℃show more irregular pore defects.He-AS sample shows a more prominent grain refinement than that of nitrogen samples due to the more extensive plastic deformation.The post heat-treatment exhibited a promoted grain growth,inter-particle diffusion,as well as the formation of annealing twins.Between25℃and 200℃,the nitrogen samples possessed lower CTE(coefficient of thermal expansion)values(1.53×10^(-6)/℃)compared with those produced by casting and laser additive manufacturing.The He-AS samples exhibited a noticeable negative CTE value between 25℃and 200℃,which may due to the significant compressive residual stress(-272 MPa)compensating its displacement with temperature increase during CTE test.The N2-HT and He-HT Invar 36 samples present a notable balance between strength and ductility.In conclusion,the CS technique can be considered as a potential method to produce the Invar36 component with high thermal and mechanical performance.Chaoyue Chen Yingchun Xie Longtao Liu Ruixin Zhao Xiaoli Jin Shanqing Li Renzhong Huang Jiang Wang Hanlin Liao Zhongming Ren 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,13:4
11Cloning and expression of the Chinese wheat mosaic virus RNA2 coat protein read-through and 19 ku cysteine-rich domains and localization of these proteins显示文摘The 5’-terminal (RTn) and 3’-terminal (RTc) halves of the coat protein readthrough domain and the 19 ku cysteine-rich protein of Chinese wheat mosaic virus (CWMV) were amplified by RT-PCR, cloned and expressed in E. coll. Antisera and monoclonal antibodies against these proteins were prepared by immunising these purified proteins to mice. 13Changes of infrared absorption wave number of aromatic-ring C=C bond of vitrinite and their significance显示文摘The humilith series of lignite, longflame coal, gas coal, fat coal, coking coal, lean coal, meagre coal and anthracite are measured by FIR1600 infrared spectrophotometer. The variation curve between the infrared absorption wave number of aromaticring C--C bond of vitrinite and its reflectance values are gained, which shows the shift of infrared absorption wave number of aromaticring C--C bond of humic coals towards lower wave number with the increase of coalification. 15Functional additives for solid polymer electrolytes in flexible and high-energy-density solid-state lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Solid polymer electrolytes(SPEs)have become increasingly attractive in solid-state lithium-ion batteries(SSLIBs)in recent years because of their inherent properties of flexibility,processability,and interfacial compatibility.However,the commercialization of SPEs remains challenging for flexible and high-energy-density LIBs.The incorporation of functional additives into SPEs could significantly improve the electrochemical and mechanical properties of SPEs and has created some historical milestones in boosting the development of SPEs.In this study,we review the roles of additives in SPEs,highlighting the working mechanisms and functionalities of the additives.The additives could afford significant advantages in boosting ionic conductivity,increasing ion transference number,improving high-voltage stability,enhancing mechanical strength,inhibiting lithium dendrite,and reducing flammability.Moreover,the application of functional additives in high-voltage cathodes,lithium-sulfur batteries,and flexible lithiumion batteries is summarized.Finally,future research perspectives are proposed to overcome the unresolved technical hurdles and critical issues in additives of SPEs,such as facile fabrication process,interfacial compatibility,investigation of the working mechanism,and special functionalities.Hao Chen Mengting Zheng Shangshu Qian Han Yeu Ling Zhenzhen Wu Xianhu Liu Cheng Yan Shanqing Zhang 2021Carbon Energy2021,3,6:3

18Layered Fe(Ⅲ) doped TiO_2 thin-film electrodes for the photoelectrocatalytic oxidation of glucose and potassium hydrogen phthalate显示文摘Four types of TiO 2 thin-film electrodes were fabricated from TiO 2 and Fe(III) doped TiO 2 sols using a layer-by-layer dip-coating technique. Electrodes fabricated were TF (pure TiO 2 surface, Fe(III)-TiO 2 bottom layer), FT (Fe(III)-TiO 2 surface, pure TiO 2 bottom layer), TT (both layers pure TiO 2 ) and FF (both layers Fe(III)-TiO 2 ). The photoelectrochemical behavior of these electrodes was characterized using linear sweep voltammetry (LSV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and steady-state photocurrent measurements in aqueous 0.1 mol L –1 NaNO 3 containing varying concentrations of glucose or potassium hydrogen phthalate (KHP). EIS and LSV results revealed that exciton separation efficiency followed the sequence of TF﹥TT﹥FT > FF. Under a constant potential of +0.3 V, steady-state photocurrent profiles were recorded with varying organic compound concentrations. The TF electrode possessed the greatest photocatalytic capacity for oxidizing glucose and KHP, and possessed a KHP anti-poisoning effect. 19Housing Sulfur in Polymer Composite Frameworks for Li–S Batteries显示文摘Extensive efforts have been devoted to the design of micro-, nano-, and/or molecular structures of sulfur hosts to address the challenges of lithium–sulfur(Li–S) batteries, yet comparatively little research has been carried out on the binders in Li–S batteries. Herein, we systematically review the polymer composite frameworks that confine the sulfur within the sulfur electrode, taking the roles of sulfur hosts and functions of binders into consideration. 20Hydrogenation of nanostructured semiconductors for energy conversion and storage显示文摘Nanostructured semiconductors have been researched intensively for energy conversion and storage applications in recent decades.Despite of tremendous findings and achievements,the performance of the devices resulted from the nanomaterials in terms of energy conversion efficiency and storage capacity needs further improvement to become economically viable for subsequent commercialization.Hydrogenation is a simple,efficient,and cost-effective way for tailoring the electronic and morphological properties of the nanostructured materials.This work reviews a series of hydrogenated nanostructured materials was produced by the hydrogenation of a wide range of nanomaterials.These materials with improved inherent conductivity and changed characteristic lattice structure possess much enhanced performance for energy conversion application,e.g.,photoelectrocatalytic production of hydrogen,and energy storage applications,e.g.,lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors.The hydrogenation mechanisms as well as resultant properties responsible for the efficiency improvement are explored in details.This work provides guidance for researchers to use the hydrogenation technology to design functional materials.Jingxia Qiu Jacob Dawood Shanqing Zhang 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,18:2
