1Effects of culm carbohydrate partitioning on basal stem strength in a high-yielding rice population显示文摘Rice culm carbohydrate transport can simultaneously affect grain filling and stem lodging resistance by regulating non-structural carbohydrate(NSC) and structural carbohydrate(SC) contents. However, the relationship between carbohydrate transposition and culm strength is not well documented. Accordingly, a high-yielding hybrid rice cultivar(Y Liangyou 2) was tested under different N fertilization regimes at two locations, Taoyuan(a special high-yield eco-site), Yunnan province and Danyang(a representative eco-site of the middle and lower Yangtze), Jiangsu province, China. Significantly higher grain yield and basal stem strength were found at Taoyuan than Danyang under all N rates throughout the two-year experiment. At heading stage, soluble sugars, starch, cellulose and lignin contents of the basal culm at Taoyuan were significantly 132.0%, 73.7%, 1.2%, and 62.7% higher than those at Danyang, respectively. At 20 days after heading, soluble sugars and starch content at Taoyuan decreased significantly compared to Danyang, but lignin content remained higher. Culm carbohydrate transport to kernels at Taoyuan was significantly greater than that at Danyang, and the proportion of soluble sugars and starch was correspondingly 62.9%lower. However, the proportion of lignin and cellulose was 22.7% higher at Taoyuan than that at Danyang. Soluble sugars and starch partitioning were significantly reduced under an increased nitrogen application rate, but SC partitioning was little affected. There were significant positive correlations between basal culm bending stress and dry weight and cellulose and lignin proportions at both locations under all N rates, suggesting that the higher SC proportion at 20 days after heading was primarily responsible for culm strength.These results suggest that high-yielding rice populations with greater culm strength require both moderate NSC transport and greater SC accumulation.Jun Zhang Ganghua Li Qingyu Huang Zhenghui Liu Chengqiang Ding She Tang Lin Chen Shaohua Wang Yanfeng Ding Weijian Zhang 2017The Crop Journal2017,5,6:13
2Malus-metasurface-assisted polarization multiplexing显示文摘Polarization optics plays a pivotal role in diffractive,refractive,and emerging flat optics,and has been widely employed in contemporary optical industries and daily life.Advanced polarization manipulation leads to robust control of the polarization direction of light.Nevertheless,polarization control has been studied largely independent of the phase or intensity of light.Here,we propose and experimentally validate a Malus-metasurface-assisted paradigm to enable simultaneous and independent control of the intensity and phase properties of light simply by polarization modulation.The orientation degeneracy of the classical Malus’s law implies a new degree of freedom and enables us to establish a one-to-many mapping strategy for designing anisotropic plasmonic nanostructures to engineer the Pancharatnam–Berry phase profile,while keeping the continuous intensity modulation unchanged.The proposed Malus metadevice can thus generate a near-field greyscale pattern,and project an independent far-field holographic image using an ultrathin and single-sized metasurface.This concept opens up distinct dimensions for conventional polarization optics,which allows one to merge the functionality of phase manipulation into an amplitudemanipulation-assisted optical component to form a multifunctional nano-optical device without increasing the complexity of the nanostructures.It can empower advanced applications in information multiplexing and encryption,anti-counterfeiting,dual-channel display for virtual/augmented reality,and many other related fields.Liangui Deng Juan Deng Zhiqiang Guan Jin Tao Yang Chen Yan Yang Daxiao Zhang Jibo Tang Zhongyang Li Zile Li Shaohua Yu Guoxing Zheng Hongxing Xu Cheng-Wei Qiu Shuang Zhang 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:7
3A Hybrid MCDM Approach Based on ANP and TOPSIS for Facility Layout Selection显示文摘Facility layout selection is a multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) problem,since it has a strategic impact on the efficiency of manufacturing system.In view of the interdependency among selection criteria,analytic network process (ANP) is proposed to analyze the structure of the facility layout selection problem and determine the weights for each criterion.A network structure is constructed that shows all elements and clusters and their interactions.Limit priorities are also calculated which help decision maker evaluate the relative importance among criterion in the alternative selection process.Moreover,a hybrid MCDM approach that employs ANP and technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution (TOPSIS)method to rank the optimal facility layout alternatives.Finally,an application of a new aeronautic component assembly workshop facility layout selection is conducted.To further illustrate the advantage of the proposed approach,the difference between ANP-TOPSIS and AHP-TOPSIS methods are compared and discussed.Results have demonstrated the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.Zha Shanshan Guo Yu Huang Shaohua Tang Pengzhou 2018Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2018,35,6:7
4Effects of rice or wheat residue retention on the quality of milled japonica rice in a rice–wheat rotation system in China显示文摘In rice–wheat rotation systems, crop straw is usually retained in the field at land preparation in every, or every other, season. We conducted a 3-year-6-season experiment in the middle–lower Yangtze River Valley to compare the grain qualities of rice under straw retained after single or double seasons per year. Four treatments were designed as: both wheat and rice straw retained(WR), only rice straw retained(R), only wheat straw retained(W), and no straw retained(CK). The varieties were Yangmai 16 wheat and Wuyunjing 23 japonica rice. The results showed contrasting effects of W and R on rice quality. Amylopectin content, peak viscosity, cool viscosity, and breakdown viscosity of rice grain were significantly increased in W compared to the CK, whereas gelatinization temperature,setback viscosity, and protein content significantly decreased. In addition, the effect of WR on rice grain quality was similar to that of W, although soil fertility was enhanced in WR due to straw being retained in two cycles. The differences in protein and starch contents among the treatments might result from soil nitrogen supply. 5Synthesis and performance of carbon-modified LiFePO_4 using an in situ PVA pyrolysis procedure显示文摘LiFePO4/carbon composite cathode material was prepared by granulating and subsequent pyrolysis processing in N2 at- mosphere with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as the carbon source. The influences of carbon content on the microstructure and battery performance were investigated. Single LiFePO4 phase and amorphous carbon can be found in the products. A special mi- cro-morphology of the optimum sample was observed. The discharge capacity of the cell with the optimum cathode was 135 mAh·g?1, close to the charge capacity of 153 mAh·g?1 at 17 mA·g?1. The influence of ambient temperature on the cell capacity was investigated. The temperature dependence of its electrochemical characteristic was evaluated by using AC impedance spectroscopy. A new equivalent circuit based on the charge and mass transfer control process in an electrode was proposed to fit the obtained AC im- pedance spectra. 6Deepflow: Hiding Anonymous Communication Traffic in P2P Streaming Networks显示文摘The anonymous communication systems usually have special traffic patterns,which can be detected by censors for further disturbing or blocking.To solve this problem,we present a novel system,Deepflow,to hide anonymous communication traffic into the P2P streaming networks such as PPStream by using steganography.Each Deepflow node joins the PPStream network and performs like a normal PPStream client watching a live channel,while embedding communication data into video packets transferred in the network.The steganographed video packets are disseminated by innocuous PPStream clients and reach the target Deepflow node.It is not necessary for Deepflow nodes to link together in the network,which prevents malicious users from sensing IP address of other Deepflow nodes.Deepflow is competent for secret chatting,transferring text documents,or publishing secret bootstrapping information for other anonymous communication systems.Comprehensive experiments in real network environments are conducted in this paper to show the security and efficiency of Deepflow.LV Jianming ZHU Chaoyun TANG Shaohua YANG Can 2014Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2014,19,5:2
