3Electrochemical studies on cerium(Ⅲ) in molten fluoride mixtures显示文摘This study aims to determine the principal electrochemical characteristics of the electrodeposition of cerium metal from molten fluoride systems.The cathodic process of Ce3+ ions in LiF-NaF and LiF-NaF-CaF2 molten salts was studied using electrochemical techniques as steady state and cyclic voltammetry methods.The decomposition potential(Ed) and the overvoltage(η) were determined for NaCeF4 using current-potential curves under galvanostatic conditions.The Ed was found to be 2.025 V in LiF-NaF and 2.045 V in LiF-NaF-CaF2.It was also found that the ohmic drop potential(E?) was not dependent on NaCeF4 concentration and it rose as the current intensity increased.The overvoltage(η) was determined from the polarization curves and the Tafel coefficients and kinetic parameters were calculated on the assumption that the process constitutes of direct discharge of Ce3+,with no solvent-solute interaction.In order to elucidate the cathodic process the investigation by cyclic voltammetry technique was finally used.From the evolution of the voltammograms we concluded that the electrochemical reduction of Ce3+ ion was actually a reversible process on the molybdenum electrode and cathodic reduction of Ce3+ took place in one single step involving three electron exchanges.VIRGIL CONSTANTIN ANA-MARIA POPESCU MIRCEA OLTEANU 2010Journal of Rare Earths2010,28,3:3
4Solid solution evolution during mechanical alloying in Cu–Nb–Al compounds显示文摘This work concerns the structural evolution of Cu70Nb20Al10(at%) alloy processed by mechanical alloying using a planetary ball mill in air atmosphere for different times(4 to 200 h). The morphological, structural, microstructural, and thermal behaviors of the alloy were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and differential scanning calorimetry. X-ray diffraction patterns were examined using the Rietveld refinement technique with the help of the MAUD software. A disordered FCC-Cu(Nb,Al) solid solution was formed after 8 h of milling. The crystallite size, microstrain, and lattice parameter were determined by the Rietveld method. With increasing milling time, the crystallite size of the final product-ternary-phase FCC-Cu(Nb,Al)-is refined to the nanometer scale, reaching 12 nm after 200 h. This crystallographic structure combines good mechanical strength and good ductility. 7Gibbs sampling based distributed OFDMA resource allocation显示文摘In this article,we present a distributed resource and power allocation scheme for multiple-resource wireless cellular networks.The global optimization of multi-cell multi-link resource allocation problem is known to be NP-hard in the general case.We use Gibbs sampling based algorithms to perform a distributed optimization that would lead to the global optimum of the problem.The objective of this article is to show how to use the Gibbs sampling(GS)algorithm and its variant the Metropolis-Hastings(MH)algorithm.We also propose an enhanced method of the MH algorithm,based on a priori known target state distribution,which improves the convergence speed without increasing the complexity.Also,we study different temperature cooling strategies and investigate their impact on the network optimization and convergence speed.Simulation results have also shown the effectiveness of the proposed methods.GARCIA Virgile CHEN Chung Shue ZHOU YiQing SHI JingLin 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,4:2

10操作参数对用氧化锡阳极基板的Hall-Heroult铝电池电流效率和腐蚀速率的影响(英文)显示文摘A systematic laboratory study was conducted on current efficiency and corrosion obtained in cryolite–alumina melts with Sn O2–Sb2O3–Cu O ceramic inert anodes.The current efficiency(CE)was determined by measuring the total amount of oxygen evolved at the anode and was found to be^95%.The influence of operating parameters(inter-electrode distance,temperature and current density)was evaluated.The quantitative interdependencies as well as the ranges of CE optimal values were established(2–3 cm,940–960°C and 0.7–0.8 A·cm-2).The corrosion process of these anodes was evaluated by the mass loss method.The evaluation also took care of the corrosion data,as the problem of the anode corrosion appeared to be the main obstacle for the use of those anodes in the commercial cells.Lowering of the ACD up to 2 cm did not aggravate anode corrosion.Virgil Constantin 2015Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2015,23,4:2
