| 1 | PBS3 and EPS1 Complete Salicylic Acid Biosynthesis from Isochorismate in Arabidopsis显示文摘Salicylic acid(SA)is an important phytohormone mediating both local and systemic defense responses in plants.Despite over half a century of research,how plants biosynthesize SA remains unresolved.In Arabidop-sis,a major part of SA is derived from isochorismate,a key intermediate produced by the isochorismate syn-thase,which is reminiscent of SA biosynthesis in bacteria.Whereas bacteria employ an isochorismate pyru-vate lyase(IPL)that catalyzes the turnover of isochorismate to pyruvate and SA,plants do not contain an IPL ortholog and generate SA from isochorismate through an unknown mechanism.Combining genetic and biochemical approaches,we delineated the SA biosynthetic pathway downstream of isochorismate in Ara-bidopsis.We found that PBS3,a GH3 acyl adenylase-family enzyme important for SA accumulation,catalyzes ATP-and Mg2+-dependent conjugation of L-glutamate primarily to the 8-carboxyl of isochorismate and yields the key SA biosynthetic intermediate,isochorismoyl-glutamate A.Moreover,we discovered that EPS1,a BAHD acyltransferase-family protein with a previously implicated role in SA accumulation upon pathogen attack,harbors a noncanonical active site and an unprecedented isochorismoyl-glutamate A pyruvoyl-glutamate lyase activity that produces SA from the isochorismoyl-glutamate A substrate.Together,PBS3 and EPS1 form a two-step metabolic pathway to produce SA from isochorismate in Arabidopsis,which is distinct from how SA is biosynthesized in bacteria.This study closes a major knowledge gap in plant SA meta-bolism and would help develop new strategies for engineering disease resistance in crop plants. | Michael P.Torrens-Spence Anastassia Bobokalonova Valentina Carballo Christopher MGlinkerman Toma(s)Pluskal Amber Shen Jing-Ke Weng | 2019 | Molecular Plant2019，12，12： | 10 |
| 2 | 美蓝染色放大电子结肠镜观察结肠息肉与组织病理学的关系显示文摘目的:研究美蓝染色后用放大电子结肠镜观察结肠息肉的微细结构类型与组织病理学的关系。方法:使用0.5%美蓝对电子结肠镜检查到有息肉的部位进行息肉及邻近的黏膜进行染色,然后用放大电子结肠镜观察。按Kudo’s标准记录正常结肠黏膜和息肉,然后行活检或息肉电切术,以便组织病理学评价。结果:本组共67人,普通电子结肠镜检查发现息肉180颗,经美蓝染色后又发现了1-3mm大小的息肉90颗,共计270颗息肉。放大结肠镜可明显提高腺瘤性病变的检出率,P<0.001。270颗病变的隐窝类型分为6种,呈Ⅱ型者2颗(0.7%);Ⅲ_s型203颗(75.2%);Ⅲ_L型49颗(18.1%),其中伴有轻、中度非典型增生者7颗;Ⅳ型11颗(4.1%),伴有轻度非典型增生者2颗、黏膜癌1颗(9.1%),Ⅴ_n共5颗(1.9%),伴有中度非典型增生者1颗,黏膜癌2颗(40%)。本组息肉均进行了电切术。结论:美蓝染色后用放大电子结肠镜可清晰地观察到结肠隐窝,其大小一致,呈圆形或椭圆形;诊断为腺瘤性息肉与病理组织学的符合率为96.7%,可明显提高息肉的检出率,并可鉴别电切息肉术后残留的基底部是否残留腺瘤组织或癌灶。 | Lu Su Hong-Zhen Pan Jing-Biao Weng Yi-Hua Xu Fang Chen Mei-Yan Hong Department of Digestive Endoscopy, The Worker’s Hospital of Hainan Province, Haikou 570311, Hainan Province, China | 2003 | 世界华人消化杂志2003，11，8： | 8 |
| 3 | Effects of 5-hydroxytamine and its antagonists on hepatic stellate cells显示文摘BACKGROUND: Hepatic stellate cell (HSC) plays a key role in hepatic fibrosis. This study was undertaken to investigate the expression of 5-hydroxytamine receptors in HSC and the effect of 5-hydroxytamine on biological characteristics of HSC. METHODS: Liver ex vivo perfusion of collagenase and density gradient centrifugation were used to isolate HSCs. Reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to detect the expression of 5-hydroxytamine receptor subtypes 1A, 2A, 2B and 3. Western blot hybridization was used to elucidate the effect of 5-hydroxytamine and its 2A receptor antagonist ketanserin and 3 receptor antagonist ondanosetron on the expression of transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1) and Smad4 in HSC. RESULTS: HSC expressed 5-hydroxytamine receptor subtypes 1A, 2A and 2B. 5-hydroxytamine significantly increased the expression of TGF-β1, and Smad4 in HSC (P<0.05). This action can be antagonized by ketanserin, not by ondanosetron. | 5 | Primary total elbow arthroplasty in complex fractures of the distal humerus显示文摘AIM:To evaluate short-to medium term outcome of total elbow arthroplasty(TEA)in complex fractures of the distal humerus.METHODS:A consecutive series of 24 complex distal humerus fractures operated with TEA in the period2006-2012 was evaluated with the Mayo Elbow Performance score(MEPS),plain radiographs,complications and overall satisfaction.The indications for surgery were 1:AO type B3 or C3 or Sheffield type 3 fracture and age above 65 or 2:fracture and severe rheumatoid arthritis.Mean follow-up time was 21 mo.RESULTS:Twenty patients were followed up.Four patients,of which 3 had died,were lost to follow up.According to the AO classification there were 17 C3,1B2 and 2 A2 fractures.Mean follow-up was 21 months(range 4-54).Mean MEPS was 94(range 65-100).Mean flexion was 114 degrees(range 80-140).According to MEPS there were 15 excellent,4 good and 1 fair result.Patient satisfaction:8 excellent,10 good,2 fair and 1poor.There were two revisions due to infection treated successfully with revision and three months of antibiotics.In two patients the locking split had loosened.One was referred to re-insertion and one chose yearly con-trols.Two patients had persistent dysaesthesia of their5th finger,but were able to discriminate between sharp and blunt.CONCLUSION:Our study suggests that TEA in complex fractures of the distal humerus in elderly patients can result in acceptable short-to medium term outcome. | Brian Weng S?rensen Stig Brorson Bo Sanderhoff Olsen | 2014 | World Journal of Orthopedics2014，5，3： | 5 |
| 6 | Adult metaplastic hutch diverticulum with robotic-assisted diverticulectomy and reconstruction:A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Hutch diverticulum arises from the compromised muscular development at the ureteral orifice.It is a congenital disease and extremely rare in adult,only accounting for about 3%occurrence worldwide.It can be either symptomatic or asymptomatic,and relies on image tools for diagnosis and preoperative planning.Indications for surgery are dependent on the complications from the diverticulum.Metaplasia is about 10%among those with hutch diverticulum,and it still has chances turning into malignancy,especially urothelial cell carcinoma.CASE SUMMARY A 27-year-old man was presented with frequently recurrent urinary tract infection for one year,and had suffered from intermittent right flank pain for 3 mo.No past medical histories were recorded before.No obvious abnormalities on laboratory data and urine examination were found.Under ultrasound,right hydronephrosis was seen and an anatomical abnormality was observed on intravenous pyelography.Further computed tomography urogram showed one diverticulum seated at superolateral side of right ureteral orifice.Cystoscopy was done and biopsy results showed focal metaplasia.After discussing with him,roboticassisted diverticulectomy with reconstruction was performed.Right hydronephrosis was greatly improved after surgery.He has completed his 1.5-year follow-ups,and no malignancies were seen from urine cytology and image of intravenous pyelography.CONCLUSION Robotic-assisted diverticulectomy and reconstruction to hutch diverticulum is a safe and efficient operation,providing several advantages over open and laparoscopic ones. | Che H Yang Yi S Lin Yen C Ou Wei C Weng Li H Huang Chin H Lu Chao Y Hsu Min C Tung | 2020 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2020，8，20： | 2 |
