Effect of Zr modification on solidification behavior and mechanical properties of Mg–Y–RE (WE54) alloy显示文摘Magnesium alloys containing rare earth elements (RE) have received considerable attention in recent years due to their high mechanical strength and good heat-resisting performance. Among them, Mg–5%Y–4%RE (WE54) magnesium alloy is a high strength sand casting magnesium alloy for use at temperatures up to 300 ℃, which is of great interest to engineers in the aerospace industry. In the present work, the solidification behavior of Zr-containing WE54 alloy and Zr-free alloy was investigated by computer-aided cooling curve analysis (CA-CCA) technique. And the solidification microstructure and mechanical properties of them were also investigated comparatively. It is found from the cooling curves and as-cast microstructure of WE54 alloy that the nucleation temperature of α-Mg in WE54 alloy increases after Zr addition, and the as-cast microstructure of the alloy is significantly refined by Zr. While the phase constitution of WE54 alloy is not changed after Zr addition. These phenomena indicate that Zr acts as heterogeneous nuclei during the solidification of WE54 alloy. Due to refined microstructure, the mechanical properties of Zr-containing WE54 alloy is much higher than Zr-free WE54 alloy. | Jilin Li Rongshi Chen Yuequn Ma Wei Ke | 2013 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2013,1,4: | 13

Characterization and Prediction of Microporosity Defect in Sand Cast WE54 Alloy Castings显示文摘In order to study the effect of Zr modification and riser size on microporosity defect distributions in WE54 alloy sand castings, the microporosity volume percentage in Zr-free and Zr-containing WE54 alloy plate castings was determined by density measurement based on Archimedes' principle, and the microstructure of the microporosity defects was observed by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Then by using Procast software, the Niyama criterion was calculated in order to investigate the validity of Niyama criterion on prediction of microporosity defects in WE54 alloy sand castings. It is found from the density measurement results that Zr addition does not affect the microporosity distributions in WE54 alloy castings. While the distribution area of microporosity defect in the plate castings decreases significantly as the riser size increases.Based on the experimental results,a riser selection principle for production of compact WE54 alloy castings is proposed that the solidification modulus of the riser should be greater than that of the casting by 30%,simply m_r > 1.3m_c.By comparing the experimental and simulating results,it is found that the predicted microporosity regions by Niyama criterion agrees well with experimental results, and a critical Niyama value of0.4 ℃^(0.5) s^(0.5) mm^(-1) is suggested for prediction of microporosity formation in WE54 alloy sand castings. | Jilin Li Rongshi Chen Yuequn Ma Wei Ke | 2014 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2014,30,10: | 9
Hot Tearing of Sand Cast Mg-5 wt.% Y-4 wt.% RE (WE54) Alloy显示文摘Hot tearing is a common and severe defect occurring during solidification of castings. The rational understanding of hot tearing formation mechanism is beneficial to the foundry process design. In the present research,a new developed instrumented'CRC'equipment was applied in characterization of hot tearing in sand cast Mg-5 wt.%Y-4 wt.%RE(WE54)alloy with and without Zr addition.Microstructure observation and thermal analysis were carried out to help analyzing the results. The results showed that hot tearing onset occurs at a relatively low solid fraction(fs)in WE54 alloy sand castings, which indicates the participation of remaining liquid during hot tearing formation.Microstructure observation of the hot tearing surface also proves the liquid film existence between solidifying dendrites. The contraction strain caused by casting solidification induces the flowing of remaining liquid between solidifying dendrites and results in formation of interdendritic liquid films. These liquid films are separated by sufcient contraction stress and form hot cracks. The addition of Zr in WE54 alloy significantly refines the alloy microstructure and increases the solid fraction at hot tearing onset, both of which result in increasing of the fracture stress of interdendritic liquid film. Thus the hot tearing susceptibility of WE54 alloy is weakened by Zr addition. | Jilin LI Rongshi CHEN Yuequn MA Wei KE | 2013 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2013,26,6: | 9

Simulation of Paleotectonic Stress Fields and Distribution Prediction of Tectonic Fractures at the Hudi Coal Mine, Qinshui Basin显示文摘Study on tectonic fractures based on the inversion of tectonic stress fields is an effective method. In this study, a geological model was set up based on geological data from the Hudi Coal Mine, Qinshui Basin, a mechanical model was established under the condition of rock mechanics and geostress, and the finite element method was used to simulate the paleotectonic stress field. Based on the Griffith and Mohr-Coulomb criterion, the distribution of tectonic fractures in the Shanxi Formation during the Indosinian, Yanshanian, and Himalayan period can be predicted with the index of comprehensive rupture rate. The results show that the acting force of the Pacific Plate and the India Plate to the North China Plate formed the direction of principal stress is N-S, NW-SE, and NE-SW, respectively, in different periods in the study area. Changes in the direction and strength of the acting force led to the regional gradients of tectonic stress magnitude, which resulted in an asymmetrical distribution state of the stress conditions in different periods. It is suggested that the low-stress areas are mainly located in the fault zones and extend along the direction of the fault zones. Furthermore, the high-stress areas are located in the junction of fold belts and the binding site of multiple folds. The development of tectonic fractures was affected by the distribution of stress intensity and the tectonic position of folds and faults, which resulted in some developed areas with level Ⅰ and Ⅱ. There are obvious differences in the development of tectonic fractures in the fold and fault zones and the anticline and syncline structure at the same fold zones. The tectonic fractures of the Shanxi Formation during the Himalayan period are more developed than those during the Indosinian and Yanshanian period due to the superposition of the late tectonic movement to the early tectonic movement and the differences in the magnitude and direction of stress intensity. | FANG Huihuang SANG Shuxun WANG Jilin LIU Shiqi JU Wei | 2017 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,6: | 8
HPHT preparation and Micro-Raman characterization of polycrystalline diamond compact with low residual stress显示文摘High quality grown polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) with low residual stress was prepared using the infiltration method with nickel based alloys as the solvent under high temperature and high pressure (HPHT). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to observe the micro morphology of the diamond layer and the diamond/WC substrate interface. It was found that dense and interlaced microstructure with diamond-diamond (D-D) direct bonding formed in the diamond layer of PDC. Micro-Raman spectroscopy was used to measure the Raman shift of diamonds in the polycrystalline diamond (PCD) layer and the residual stress was calculated based on the Raman shift of diamonds. Experimental results show that the residual stress of PCD layer is compressive stress, and the range of the residual stress is from 0.075 to 0.250 GPa in the whole PCD layer, much lower than that of other reports (up to 1.400 GPa). Moreover, the distribution of the residual stress from the diamond surface layer to the inner cross-section is homogeneous. | JIA HongSheng, MA HongAn, GUO Wei & JIA XiaoPeng* National Laboratory of Superhard Materials, Jilin University, Changchun 130012, China | 2010 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,8: | 7

Reconstruction of Gene Regulatory Networks Based on Two-Stage Bayesian Network Structure Learning Algorithm显示文摘In the post-genomic biology era,the reconstruction of gene regulatory networks from microarray gene expression data isvery important to understand the underlying biological system, and it has been a challenging task in bioinformatics.TheBayesian network model has been used in reconstructing the gene regulatory network for its advantages, but how to determinethe network structure and parameters is still important to be explored. This paper proposes a two-stage structure learning algorithmwhich integrates immune evolution algorithm to build a Bayesian network. The new algorithm is evaluated with the use ofboth simulated and yeast cell cycle data. The experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm can find many of theknown real regulatory relationships from literature and predict the others unknown with high validity and accuracy. | Gui-xia Liu, Wei Feng, Han Wang, Lei Liu, Chun-guang ZhouCollege of Computer Science and Technology, Jilin University, Changchun 130012,P.R. | 11 | Analysis of the Anomalous Strength and Location of the ITCZ Affecting the Formation of Northern Pacific Typhoons显示文摘Using the NCEP/NCAR reanalysis dataset from 1959-2004, the location and strength of the ITCZ (Inter-Tropical Con- vergence Zone), as well as their relations with typhoons in the northwestern Pacific were studied. It was found that the pentad loca- tion and strength of the ITCZ had close relations with the typhoon frequency. Higher latitude location or strengthened ITCZ were found to be favorable for the occurrence of typhoons over the Northwestern Pacific. An index was defined for ascertaining the loca- tion of the ITCZ. It was found that the index defined with the maximum value of pentad and monthly meridional shear of zonal wind speed could better describe the location of ITCZ than another index defined with the maximum value of convergence. Correlation analysis between the index of ITCZ and the maximum cloud cover in the tropics showed that there were close relations between the ITCZ determined by the index and the maximum tropical cloud belt. The strength index of an ITCZ was defined as the zonal wind speed difference at latitudes south and north of the ITCZ. It was found that there are close relations between the ITCZ intensity and typhoon occurrence in the South China Sea [10°N-20°N,100°E-120°E] and regions east of the Philippines and near the Mariana Islands [5°N-20°N, 127.5°E-150°E]. | WEI Dongni SUN Jilin LI Yongping | 2008 | Journal of Ocean University of China2008,7,2: | 4
Analysis of Mitochondrial DNA from the Ancient Tombs of Turfan显示文摘MtDNA was successfully extracted from ten individual bones (femurs) in the tombs of ancient Jushi in Turfan basin, dated back to the year about 3 000-2 500 years ago. By means of four overlapping primers, we got nucleotide sequence of the 218bp length. Ancient mtDNA was analyzed by the sequencing of hypervariable region Ⅰ of the mtDNA control region. The result shows that 9 haplotypes with 24 polymorphic sites were obtained. The phylogenetic analysis indicated that Mongolians and Altai are the population genetically closest to the Jushi groups and Jushi mtDNA pool being an admixture of eastern Asian and European lineages. So our preliminary data imply that an ancient mingling of Euro-Asian population had existed in Turfan basin prior to the early Iron Age. | CUI Yin-qiu 1,2, DUAN Ran-hui 1, LIU Shu-bai 1, JI Chao-neng 2,ZHU Hong 1, LI Wei 1, MAO Yu-min 2 and ZHOU Hui 1,**1. | 13 | Low-Pressure Metamorphism of Granulite Facies in an Early Proterozoic Orogenic Event in Central Inner Mongolia显示文摘According to the kinds of feldspar and rock associations in the Ai-rich gneisses, the low-pressure metamorphic crust of the Early Proterozoic granulite facies in central Inner Mongolia can be divided into southern and northern belts which are composed of six rock associations. They represent the relevant rock sequences of the layered metamorphic rock series formed under specific metamorphic temperature and pressure conditions as well as tectonic environments. Mineral inclusions and reaction texture have recorded that the medium-temperature high-pressure mineral assemblages are replaced by the high-temperature low-pressure mineral assemblages, thus, giving rise to: garnet+quartz→ hypersthene+plagioclase; kyanite→sillimanite and garnet+kyanite/sillimanite+quartz→cordierite. The deformation fabrics of the rocks, the change of mineral assemblages and the PTt path of metamorphism indicate that the contempranceous high-temperature normal-slip ductile shearing is the main cause of the formation of the low-pressure metamorphic crust of granulite facies. In the orogenic event, the co-action of thrusting and extension resulted in the change of a medium-temperature high-pressure metamorphic environment into the high-temperature low-pressure metamorphic conditions. | Liu Xishan, Jin Wei and Li Shuxun Changchun University of Earth Sciences, Changchun, Jilin Sun Sheping | 1993 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)1993,67,1: | 2
Effects of Preheating Temperature, Moisture and Sodium Metabisulfite Content on Property of Maize Flour Dough显示文摘Processing temperature, maze flour particle size, and level of water and sodium metabisulfite were varied during the preparation of maize noodles. Preheated to 90—95 ℃ a mixture of maize flour or meal, water(43%—45% moisture) and salt enabled the preparation of noodles using a pasta extruder. Maize flour with smaller particle size yielded better noodles than did maize meal. The addition of sodium metabisulfite enabled the production of noodles at lower processing temperatures; however, cooking losses increased. Processing maize flour with higher water absorption yielded noodles that required longer cooking time but with decreased losses. The functionalities of starch and protein in raw ingredients and in products were determined. Starch gelatinized and retorgraded during processing maize noodles, as indicated by changes in pasting viscosity curves. Maize proteins contributed to the increased viscosity of dough above 40 ℃. The increased integrity of cooked maize noodles, however, corresponded to the increased amounts of gelatinized and retrograded starch. | TONG Yi 1, Waniska Ralph D. 2 and LI Wei 1** (1. | 15 | Langmuir-Blodgett Films from Schiff Base Aluminium (Ⅲ) Complex显示文摘The characteristics of the LB films of Schiff base aluminium( Ⅲ ), tris(2-hydroxy-5-nitro N-dodecyl-benzylideneaminato) aluminium ( Ⅲ ) [Al (TA 12) 3], were studied. The surface pres sure-area(r-A) isotherm of Al(TA12)3 in the pure water subphase was investigated. The molec ular area, 0.48 nm2, is one-third of the expected value that indicates the formation of an aggre gate. The Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films of Al(TA12) 3 were transferred and characterized. The UV-Vis spectra and the AFM image both confirmed that the J-aggregates formed. The polarized UV-Vis spectra indicated that the complex plane had to be oriented with an angle of about 30° to the substrate surface. The IR spectra suggested that the complexation took place between aluminium ions and the oxygen atoms of the ligand rather than the nitrogen atom. | LIAN Wei~1, CAO Wei~2, WANG Gang~2, WEI Li~2, HONG Xia~2, SHEN Dong-fang~2 LIU Chun-yan~1, SHAO Hui-bo~(3**) and BAI Yu-bai~2(1. | 16 | Effect of methylmercury on LPO levels, SH groups and activities of GSH-Px, SOD, XOD in liver of rats显示文摘In recent years, lipid peroxidation has been considered as the initial step for foreign toxic substances to damage cells. In this paper, the effects of methylmercury (MeHg) on LPO (lipid peroxide) levels, SH (sulfhydryl) groups and activities of GSH\|Px (glutathione peroxidase), SOD (superoxide dismutase), XOD (xanthine oxidase) in liver of rats treated with doses of MeHg at different intervals were studied by TBA, Ellman Reagent, NBT colorimetric methods and chemilluminescence. Meanwhile, the contents of FR (free radical)and MeHg in the liver of female rats were measured by ESR and GC. Results showed that the LPO levels in the experimental group increased significantly over those of the control group ( p<0.05— p<0.001) , reaching maximum point on the first poisoning day. Both male and female rats showed marked positive dose\|effect relations (Male: Y=261.4±49.4X, r=0.94, p<0.02; Female : Y=255.0±73.0X, r=0.99, p<0.001 ). N-SH (nonprotein sulfhydryl), P\|SH (protein sulfhydryl), T-SH (total sulfhydryl) contents and GSH\|Px activities decreased significantly (p<0.05-p<0.001). For GSH\|Px, both groups reached minimum value on the first poisoning day. In female rats, activities of SOD and XOD increased markedly ( p<0.02-p<0.01 ) although the contents of FR showed no significant changes. The contents of MeHg was determined by GC, and it ranged from 0.0081—0.0191 ppm. | LIU Jin\|yu 1, GUAN Ming 1, SUN Zhi\|wei 1, LIN Xiu\|wu 1, CAO Peng\|yuan 2, MENG Xiang\|dong 2 (1. | 18 | Tectonic evolvement of metamorphic complexes at Jilin paleocontinental margin during the transition from late Archaean to early Proterozoic显示文摘The kinematics and dynamical process of tectonic evolvement of metamorphic complexes at the interim from late Archaean to early Proterozoic is one of the key problems in geosciences. For the disputation on the genesis of metamorphic complexes at the margin of Jilin palaeocontinent, this paper takes the example of Banshigou region, Jilin Province to discuss the dynamical evolution of palaeocontinent during the transition from late Archaean to early Pro- terozoic (2600—2000 Ma). On the time sequence, from center to palaeocontinental margin, it shows a series of dynamical movements including underplating, horizontal movement, subduc- tion, intraplate extension and separation. And its corresponding sequence of kinematical modes is as follows: vertical movement, horizontal movement, extension and shearing in contact zone, uplift-sliding movement in paleocontinental margin and interformational sliding, resulting in such tectonite sequence, tectonic gneiss, gneissic complex, gneissic complex-mylonite, mylonite and fracture cleavage-mylonite, which consist of the main body of metamorphic complexes. Their palaeostresses are: < 20, 20.40, 21.72, 28.80 and 30.8-69.8 MPa respectively. The deforma- tional metamorphic temperature is between hornblende and low-grade greenschist facies. The general deformational characters of Jilin palaeocontinent reflect a complete dynamic system of crust evolution, which indicates that the formation of the metamorphic complexes and the tec- tonic evolution are altered from vertical movement to compression to extension. It also indicates a continuous tectonic transformation from deep to shallow, and from ductile to brittle. The trans- formation between different dynamic mechanisms not only forms tectonic rocks, but also benefits the linking up, exchange and enrichment with rock-forming minerals and ore-forming elements. This research is helpful to classifying regional tectonic events and making further study on the evolution of palaeocontinental dynamics. | SUN Zhongshi1,DENG Jun2,JIANG Yanguo3,WANG Jianping2,WANG Qingfei2 & WEI Yanguang2 1.Department of Earth Sciences,Jilin University,Changchun 130061,China 2.Department of Geosciences and Mineral Resources,China University of Geosciences,Beijing 100083,China 3.Weihai Gold Institute,Shandong Weihai Gold Bureau,Weihai 264205,China Correspondence should be addressed to Sun Zhongshi(email: sunzs219@163.com) | 2004 | Science China Earth Sciences2004,47,11: | 2
