5Effects of cooling rate and B content on microstructure of near-eutectic Al-13wt%Si Alloy显示文摘Under cooling rates of 2 ℃/s and 10 ℃/s, the influences of B content on the microstructure of near eutectic Al-13.0wt%Si alloy have been investigated. Results showed that the addition of boron resulted in refinement of eutectic grains, and to some extent, had an inhibiting effect on precipitation of the primary phases, and the refining and inhibiting effects are much more obvious at higher cooling rate. When B was not added, higher cooling rate promoted the a-Al dendrites formation. At lower cooling rate, the addition of B did not cause the so called 'columnar to equiaxed transition (CET)' , however, at higher cooling rate, this transition was obvious. After the addition of B, the nucleation temperature TN ascended and nucleation mode changed from nucleation mode of from wall towards centre (without B addition) to a nucleation mode that the eutectic nucleated evenly throughout whole sample (with B added). It can be concluded that the addition of B offers a large amount of nuclei for eutectic solidification, as a result, the eutectic grains was refined. 8Evolution of vegetation and climate since the last glacial maximum recorded at Dahu peat site, South China显示文摘Sporopollen analysis on a 346 cm peat record at Dahu, Jiangxi, chronologically constrained by 16 AMS 14C datings, provides an opportunity to reconstruct the vegetation evolution stages responding to cli-mate change in South China since the last glacial maximum. The result shows that during 18330-15630 cal a B.P., broad-leaved forest dominated the area, corresponding to mild, cool and fairly humid climate. At the interval of 15630-11600 cal a B.P., several evergreen broad-leaved species appeared within the broad-leaved forest, indicating moderate and humid condition. During early Holocene, broad-leaved evergreen forest community was constructed as Castanopsis/Lithorcarpus principally developed, suggesting a warm and humid scenario until 6000 cal a B. P. Since 6000 cal a B. P., abrupt forest deterioration happened with an contemporary increase of fern and herb communities, repre-senting a turnover to relatively cool and dry condition and as well, possible impact from human activi-ties. Meanwhile, several relatively cool and dry events can be identified in the sporopollen record, they can be correlated to the North Atlantic Heinrich event, YD and Holocene millennial-scale oscillations, implying that the low latitude climate was coupled with high latitude influences. 9Probabilistic assessment of tunnel convergence considering spatial variability in rock mass properties using interpolated autocorrelation and response surface method显示文摘This study aims at the probabilistic assessment of tunnel convergence considering the spatial variability in rock mass properties. The method of interpolated autocorrelation combined with finite difference analysis is adopted to model the spatial variability of rock mass properties. An iterative procedure using the first-order reliability method(FORM) and response surface method(RSM) is employed to compute the reliability index and its corresponding design point. The results indicate that the spatial variability considerably affects the computed reliability index. The probability of failure could be noticeably overestimated in the case where the spatial variability is neglected. The vertical scale of fluctuation has a much higher effect on the probabilistic result with respect to the tunnel convergence than the horizontal scale of fluctuation. 10Preparation of Al matrix nanocomposites by diluting the composite granules containing nano-SiCp under ultrasonic vibaration显示文摘In this work, an efficient process by diluting the nano-SiCp/Al composite granules in the molten matrix under ultrasonic vibration(UV) was developed to prepare metal matrix nano-composites(MMNCs).Millimeter-sized composite granules with high content of SiC particle(8 wt%) were specially fabricated by dry high-energy ball milling(HBM) without process control agent, and then remelted and diluted in molten Al alloy under UV. The MMNCs melt was finally squeeze cast under a squeeze pressure of 200 MPa, Microstructure of the composite granules during dry HBM was investigated, and the effect of UV on microstructure and mechanical properties of the MMNCs was discussed. The results indicate that nano-SiC particles are uniformly distributed in the nano-SiCp/Al composite granules, which are covered by vestures of pure Al. During diluting, nano-SiC particles released from the composite granules are quickly dispersed in the molten matrix by UV within 4 min. Microstructure of MMNCs is significantly refined under UV and squeeze casting, eutectic Si phase modified to fine islands with an average length of 1.4 μm. 12Antiviral effect of polysaccharide from Spirulina platensis(PSP) on HSV-2 in vitro显示文摘To explore the antiviral effect and mechanism of polysaccharide from Spirulina platensis (PSP) on herpes simplex vims type 2 (HSV-2), a standard strain of HSV-2 (333 strain) was used to investigate the antiviral effect of PSP in vitro . PSP in various concentrations was applied to different stages of HSV-2 replication cycle. Finally, the virus infectivity (TCID50),cytopathic effect (CPE), and MTT staining method for viable cells (MTT assay) were used as markers to evaluate the effect of PSP on HSV-2. The quantity of HSV-DNA was detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR (FQ-PCR). The HSV-2 infected Vero cell ultrastructures were observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results showed that PSP had little cytotoxic effect on Vero cells, it could not directly inactivate HSV-2 infectivity. PSP not only interfered in adsorption of HSV-2 to Vero cells but also inllibited HSV-2 biosynthesis in the cells. FQ-PCR results showed that the inhibitory rate on HSV-DNA also increased in a dose-dependent and time-dependent manner. TEM also confirmed that PSP exhibited pronounced inhibitory effect on HSV-2. 14Repair Welding of Casting Magnesium Alloys:A Review显示文摘Magnesium (Mg) alloys have broad application prospects in the fields of aerospace,national defense,and military industries,owing to their advantages of high specific strength and stiffness,good damping properties,and excellent castabilities. However,defects such as oxidation inclusions,shrinkage cavities and porosities,and hot cracks are readily generated in Mg alloy components,which seriously reduce the performance stability of the products. Related repair welding technologies for Mg alloys can greatly reduce the rejection rate and production cost,and exhibit significant value in scientific research and engineering application. In this review,the weldability of Mg alloys is introduced firstly according to their physical and chemical properties. Then,various repair welding technologies and pre-weld treatments applicable to Mg alloys are systematically summarized,and the effects of welding parameters as well as heat treatments on the microstructure and performance of the repaired joints are clarified. 17Effect of the CaO/SiO2 mass ratio and FeO content on the viscosity of CaO–SiO2–“FeO”–12wt%ZnO–3wt%Al2O3 slags显示文摘An effective process for recycling lead from hazardous waste cathode ray tubes(CRTs) funnel glass through traditional lead smelting has been presented previously. The viscous behavior of the molten high lead slag, which is affected by the addition of funnel glass, plays a critical role in determining the production efficiency. Therefore, the viscosities of the CaO–SiO_2–'FeO'–12wt%ZnO–3wt%Al_2O_3 slags were measured in the current study using the rotating spindle method. The slag viscosity decreases as the CaO/SiO_2 mass ratio is increased from 0.8 to 1.2 and also as the FeO content is increased from 8wt% to 20wt%. The breaking temperature of the slag is lowered substantially by the addition of FeO, whereas the influence of the CaO/SiO_2 mass ratio on the breaking temperature is complex. The structural analysis of quenched slags using Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy reveals that the silicate network structure is depolymerized with increasing CaO/SiO_2 mass ratio or increasing FeO content. The [FeO_6]-octahedra in the slag melt increase as the CaO/SiO_2 mass ratio or the FeO content increases. This increase can further decrease the degree of polymerization(DOP) of the slag. 19Carbides precipitation and their evolution of Cr15Co10Mo5-alloyed heat-resistant bearing steel after tempering at different temperatures显示文摘The carbides precipitation and their evolution at elevated tempering temperature in Crl5Col0Mo5-alloyed heat-resistant bearing steel were investigated by means of the transmission electron microscope.The results show that there is no carbide precipitated from the martensitic matrix when the sample was tempered at 480℃.However,when the sample was tempered at 540℃,a large number of stable spherical M6C carbides precipitated in the test steel.Nevertheless,there are three types of carbides precipitated from the matrix including M6C,M2C and M23C6 carbides when the tempering temperature reached 600℃.The mechanical properties also present a correlation with the evolution of carbides during tempering at different temperatures.This indicates that the strengthening mechanism of the steel is mainly attributed to the precipitation of carbides and their evolution,including the morphologies and types of carbides at different temperatures.In addition,the austenitic layers with a thickness of about 30 nm have been obtained between the martensite laths after tempering at 600℃.The austenitic layers will produce transformation-induced plasticity effects to improve the toughness of the steel.Mao-guo Xiao Xin-yang Lü Dong-hui Li Shao-hong Li Kun-yu Zhao Mao-sheng Yang 2019Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2019,26,10:3
