1Decreased nitrous oxide emissions associated with functional microbial genes under bio-organic fertilizer application in vegetable fields显示文摘Bio-organic fertilizers enriched with plant growth-promoting microbes(PGPMs)have been widely used in crop fields to promote plant growth and maintain soil microbiome functions.However,their potential effects on N_(2)O emissions are of increasing concern.In this study,an in situ measurement experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of organic fertilizer containing Trichoderma guizhouense(a plant growth-promoting fungus)on soil N_(2)O emissions from a greenhouse vegetable field.The following four treatments were used:no fertilizer(control),chemical fertilizer(NPK),organic fertilizer derived from cattle manure(O),and organic fertilizer containing T.guizhouense(O+T,referring to bio-organic fertilizer).The abundances of soil N cycling-related functional genes(amoA)from ammonium-oxidizing bacteria(AOB)and archaea(AOA),as well as nirS,nirK,and nosZ,were simultaneously determined using quantitative PCR(qPCR).Compared to the NPK plot,seasonal total N_(2)O emissions decreased by 11.7%and 18.7%in the O and O+T plots,respectively,which was attributed to lower NH_(4)^(+)-N content and AOB amoA abundance in the O and O+T plots.The nosZ abundance was significantly greater in the O+T plot,whilst the AOB amoA abundance was significantly lower in the O+T plot than in the O plot.Relative to the organic fertilizer,bio-organic fertilizer application tended to decrease N_(2)O emissions by 7.9%and enhanced vegetable yield,resulting in a significant decrease in yield-scaled N_(2)O emissions.Overall,the results of this study suggested that,compared to organic and chemical fertilizers,bio-organic fertilizers containing PGPMs could benefit crop yield and mitigate N_(2)O emissions in vegetable fields.Yajun GENG Yiming YUAN Yingcheng MIAO Junzhang ZHI Mengyuan HUANG Yihe ZHANG Hong WANG Qirong SHEN Jianwen ZOU Shuqing LI 2021Pedosphere2021,31,2:7

3Impacts of Drought and Human Activity on Vegetation Growth in the Grain for Green Program Region,China显示文摘The Chinese government adopted six ecological restoration programs to improve its natural environments. Although these programs have proven successful in improving local environments, some studies have questioned their performance when regions suffer from drought. Whether we should consider the effects of drought on vegetation change in assessments of the benefits of ecological restoration programs is unclear. Therefore, taking the Grain for Green Program(GGP) region as a study area, we estimated vegetation growth in the region from 2000–2010 to clarify the trends in vegetation and their driving forces. Results showed that: 1) vegetation growth increased in the GGP region during 2000–2010, with 59.4% of the area showing an increase in the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI). This confirmed the benefits of the ecological restoration program. 2) Drought can affect the vegetation change trend, but human activity plays a significant role in altering vegetation growth, and the slight downward trend in the NDVI was not consistent with the severity of the drought. Positive human activity led to increased NDVI in 89.13% of areas. Of these, 22.52% suffered drought, but positive human activity offset the damage in part. 3) Results of this research suggest that appropriate human activity can maximize the benefits of ecological restoration programs and minimize the effects of extreme weather. 4Serum levels of perfluorinated compounds in the general population in Shenzhen, China显示文摘Perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) have been detected in many environmental matrices, biota, and nonoccupationally exposed populations in China recently. However, little is known about the distribution and levels of various PFCs in the general population living in areas where there is PFC exposure. In the present study, the levels and prevalence of ten target PFCs were determined in 227 serum samples from a population of nonoccupationally exposed individuals in Shenzhen, China. Results indicated that human exposure to PFCs was prevalent in Shenzhen. Perfluorooctanoate (PFOA) was the dominant PFC contaminant in the serum samples, with a median concentration of 6.72 ng/mL, followed by perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) with a median concentration of 2.07 ng/mL. Other PFCs were detected at much lower concentrations, with median concentrations ranging from 0.02 to 0.87 ng/mL. Statistically, no significant (P>0.05) gender differences were observed for any of the PFCs. Significant (P<0.01) positive correlations were found between age and serum concentrations of the target PFCs, except for perfluorobutane sulfonate (R = 0.16, P = 0.01), perfluorohexanoic acid (R = 0.08, P = 0.22), and perfluoroheptanoic acid (R = 0.11, P = 0.10). 6N-doped-carbon coated Ni2P-Ni sheets anchored on graphene with superior energy storage behavior显示文摘Transition metal phosphides (TMPs) have been widely studied as electrode materials for supercapacitors and lithium-ion batteries due to their high electrochemical reacti on activities. The practical applicati on of TMPs was gen erally hampered by their low con ductivity and large volume changes during electrochemical reactions. In this work, nitrogen-doped-carbon (NC) coated Ni2P-Ni hybrid sheets were fabricated and loaded into highly con ductive graphe ne n etwork, forming a Ni2P ?Ni@NC@G composite. The highly con ductive g raphe ne, the NC coati ng layer, and the decorated Ni nano particles in combi nation offer continu ous electro n tran sport cha nnels in the composite, resulti ng with facilitated electrode reaction kinetics and superior rate performance. Besides, the flexible graphene sheets and well-decorated Ni particles among Ni2P can effectively buffer the harmful stress during electrochemical reactions to maintain an integrated electrode structure. With these favorable features, the composite dem on strated superior capacitive and lithium storage behavior. As an electrode material for supercapacitors, the composite shows a remarkable capacitance of 2,335.5 F·g^-1 at 1 A·g^-1 and high capacitance retention of 86.4% after 2,000 cycles. Asymmetrical supercapacitors (ASCs) were also prepared with remarkable energy density of 53.125 Whk·g^-1 and power density of 3,750 Whk·g^-1. As an anode for lithium ion batteries, a high reversible capacity of 1,410 mAh·g^-1 can be delivered at 0.2 A·g^-1 after 200 cycles. Promising high rate capability was also demonstrated with a high discharge capacity of 750 mAh·g^-1 at 8 A·g^-1. 8Some Thoughts on the Earthquake Science Experimental Site——The Underground Cloud Map显示文摘The Western Yunnan Earthquake Predication Test Site set up jointly by the China Earthquake Administration,the National Science Foundation Commission of America,and United States Geological Survey has played an important role in development of early earthquake research work in China. Due to various objective reasons, most of the predicted targets in the earthquake prediction test site have not been achieved,and the development has been hindered. In recent years, the experiment site has been reconsidered,and renamed the 'Earthquake Science Experimental Site'. Combined with the current development of seismology and the practical needs of disaster prevention and mitigation,we propose adding the 'Underground Cloud Map'as the new direction of the experimental site. Using highly repeatable, environmentally friendly and safe airgun sources,we could send constant seismic signals,which realizes continuous monitoring of subsurface velocity changes. Utilizing the high-resolution 3-D crustal structure from ambient noise tomography,we could obtain 4-D (3-D space+1-D time) images of subsurface structures, which we termed the 'Underground Cloud Map'. 112.0 Ga orogenic graphite deposits and associated 13C-enriched meta-carbonate rocks from South China Craton:Implications for global Lomagundi event显示文摘The Lomagundi(-Jatuli)event,characterized by extremely high positive global inorganic carbon isotope excursion at about 2.2 billion years ago,is pivotal in investigating the causes and consequences of great oxygenation event,inventory and sequestration of carbon on the Earth’s surface,evolution of life,and more profoundly tectonic control on Earth’s environment.However,the reasons that caused the isotopic excursion are not resolved yet.Herein,we report the discovery of meta-carbonate rocks with distinct positive carbon isotopic excursion from the Paleoproterozoic continental collision zone of the Kongling Complex,South China Craton.The δ^(13)C_(V-PDB) values for meta-carbonate rocks show positive values in the range from+5.5‰to+11.6‰,whereas the δ^(13)C_(V-PDB) values of associated graphite deposits range from-25.8‰to-9.5‰.Zircon U-Pb-Hf isotopes from zircon-bearing meta-carbonate sample yielded weighted average _(207)Pb/_(206)Pb age of 2001.3±9.5 Ma,with correspondingε_(Hf)(t)range from-7.05 to-3.16,comparable to the values of local 2.9–2.6 Ga basement rocks.Geochemical characteristics of meta-carbonate rocks,such as their rare earth element patterns and the trace element parameters of La,Ce,Eu,and Gd anomalies and Y/Ho ratio,suggest that the carbonate deposition took place in passive continental margin in association with large volumes of organic carbon.The extensive graphite deposits from Kongling Complex in South China Craton,their equivalents in the North China Craton and elsewhere across the globe prove that the burial of ^(12)C-enriched organic carbon has eventually resulted in the global enrichment of ^(13)C in the atmospheric CO_(2),which is recorded in the marine carbonate rocks.Isotopic mass balance estimates indicate that more than half of the organic carbon was buried during the oceanic closure.Hence,the observed global shift could be directly related to the continent collision event in greater China,thus resolving the long-standing paradox of the Lomagundi global positive carbon isotope excursion.Moreover,the present results suggest that orogenesis play a significant role in sequestration of carbon into the continental crust.Yihe Li Madhusoodhan Satish-Kumar Sasidharan Kiran Chuanhui Wan Jianping Zheng 2022Geoscience Frontiers2022,13,4:1

16Black phosphorus-based heterostructures for photocatalysis and photoelectrochemical water splitting显示文摘Semiconductor-based photocatalytic and photoelectrochemical(PEC) processes can convert solar energy into high-density chemical energy or for the treatment of environmental pollutants, which are ideal ways to deal with environmental and energy crises. The development of high-efficiency photocatalysts and photoelectrodes is the key to the in-depth development and practical application of the two technologies.Black phosphorus(BP) has excellent physicalcochemical properties such as adjustable band gap, high carrier mobility, large specific surface area and anisotropy, making it one of the most promising catalysts.BP-based heterostructure can not only realize the effective separation of photogenerated carriers but also improve the stability of BP, and is widely used in photocatalytic and PEC reactions. In this review, we first introduce the crystal structure, band structure, anisotropy, and preparation of BP with different dimensions(bulk, zero-dimension and two-dimension). 17A novel method for reconstruction in laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy:an experience of 13 cases显示文摘Laparoscopic pancreaticoduodenectomy(LPD)is a challenging operation to general surgeon.Up to date,only about 135 cases have been reported,16 cases in China,119 cases outside China.The reconstruction of alimentary system is a key procedure to ensure success of the whole surgery.It is worth investigating the methods of reconstruc-tion in LPD.A retrospective study is made to investigate the methods of reconstruction in LPD.We analyze 13 cases of LPD performed in our center.Child’s or modified Child’s method was used to make the reconstruction in our practice.We tried three methods to make the anastomosis of pancre-aticojejunostomy,including end-to-end dunking binding pancreaticojejunostomy in two cases,end-to-end dunking pancreaticojejunostomy using interrupted suture in two cases,and duct-to-jejunal end-to-side embedding pancreaticojeju-nostomy in nine cases.The clinical data was collected and analyzed.Three of four patients,who underwent end-to-end pancreaticojejunostomy,had a little pancreatic leakage,especially in the first case.None of other nine patients,who underwent duct-to-jejunal end-to-side embedding pancreati-cojejunostomy,was detected to have pancreatic leakage,and the operating time of these nine cases was less than other four cases.Duct-to-jejunal end-to-side embedding pancreaticoje-junostomy is a safe and efficient method of reconstruction in LPD.LU Bangyu HUANG Yubin CAI Xiaoyong HUANG Fei LI Jie LU Wenqi XU Jing LIU Zujun YAN Yihe LI Jianjun 2007Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,4:1
