| 1 | Chaotic laser synchronization and its application in optical fiber secure communication显示文摘In this paper, optical fiber chaotic secure communication is proposed by coupling chaotic laser synchronous system with optical fiber propagation channel. Feedback synchronous system of chaotic semiconductor lasers is presented and synchronous error and decoding formulae are demonstrated. Synchronization between two chaotic laser systems with distributed feedback semiconductor lasers at wavelength of 1.31 μm is simulatively achieved with almost zero synchronous error. Parameter mismatch, synchronous transient response and noise effect on the system are studied. Robustness of synchronization and anti-perturbation can increase by increasing the feedback coefficient of the system. Influence of group-velocity-dispersion and self-phase modulation of optical fiber on chaotic laser signal and synchronization are analyzed, and it is found that group-velocity-dispersion affects pulse shape, synchronization and decodin gand limits optical fiber propagation distances, and self-phase modulation does not affect pulse shape, while its product of nonlinear phase shift can affect synchronization and decoding, and restrict propagation distances of optical fiber chaotic communication system and hence the maximum optical power formula is educed. | 2 | Establishment and analysis of global gridded Tm-Ts relationship model显示文摘In ground-based GPS meteorology, Tm is a key parameter to calculate the conversion factor that can convert the zenith wet delay(ZWD) to precipitable water vapor(PWV). It is generally acknowledged that Tm is in an approximate linear relationship with surface temperature Ts, and the relationship presents regional variation. This paper employed sliding average method to calculate correlation coefficients and linear regression coefficients between Tm and Ts at every 2°× 2.5° grid point using Ts data from European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts(ECMWF) and Tm data from 'GGOS Atmosphere', yielding the grid and bilinear interpolation-based Tm Grid model. Tested by Tm and Ts grid data, Constellation Observation System of Meteorology, Ionosphere, and Climate(COSMIC) data and radiosonde data, the Tm Grid model shows a higher accuracy relative to the Bevis Tm-Ts relationship which is widely used nowadays. | 3 | A global assessment of recent trends in gastrointestinal cancer and lifestyle-associated risk factors显示文摘Background:Gastrointestinal(GI)cancers were responsible for 26.3%of cancer cases and 35.4%of deaths worldwide in 2018.This study aimed to analyze the global incidence,mortality,prevalence,and contributing risk factors of the 6 major GI cancer entities[esophageal cancer(EC),gastric cancer(GC),liver cancer(LC),pancreatic cancer(PC),colon cancer,and rectal cancer].Methods:Using the Global Cancer Observatory and the Global Health Observatory databases,we reviewed the current GI cancer incidence,prevalence,and mortality,analyzed the association of GI cancer prevalence with national human development indices(HDIs),identified the contributing risk factors,and estimated developing age-and sex-specific trends in incidence and mortality.Results:In 2020,the trend in age-standardized rate of incidence of GI cancers closely mirrored that of mortality,with the highest rates of LC,EC,and GC in Asia and of colorectal cancer(CRC)and PC mainly in Europe.Incidence and mortality were positively,but the mortality-to-incidence ratio(MIR)was inversely correlated with the national HDI levels.High MIRs in developing countries likely reflected the lack of preventive strategies and effective treatments.GI cancer prevalence was highest in Europe and was also positively correlated with HDIs and lifestyle-associated risk factors,such as alcohol consumption,smoking,obesity,insufficient physical activity,and high blood cholesterol level,but negatively correlated with hypertension and diabetes.Incidences of EC were consistently and those of GC mostly decreasing,whereas incidences of CRC were increasing in most countries/regions,especially in the younger populations.Incidences of LC and PC were also increasing in all age-gender populations except for younger males.Mortalities were decreasing for EC,GC,and CRC in most countries/regions, and age-specific trends were observed in PC and LC with adecrease in the younger but an increase in the older population.Conclusions: On the global scale, higher GI cancer burden was accompanied,for the most part, by factors associated with the so-called Western lifestylereflected by high and very high national HDI levels. In countries/regionswith very high HDI levels, patients survived longer, and increasing GI cancercases were observed with increasing national HDI levels. | 5 | Instrumental detection of cystic duct stones during laparoscopic cholecystectomy显示文摘Residual cystic duct stones (CDSs) after cholecystectomy have been recognized as a cause of post cholecystectomy pain. This study was undertaken to determine the incidence of CDSs during laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC). A cohort of 330 consecutive patients (80 males and 250females) undergoing LC between November 2006 and May2010 was studied. Their age ranged between 16 and 88 years(median 50, IQR: 36.62). The data were prospectively collected of preoperative liver function tests, imaging, the presence of intraoperative CDSs, and common bile duct stones at on-table cholangiogram. CDSs were detected intraoperatively in 64 of the 330 patients (19%). Ultrasound failed to detect CDSs in any of these cases. Deranged liver function tests were noted in 73% of the patients with CDSs and in 57% without CDSs Common bile duct stones were detected in 9% (29) of the 330patients. | 7 | Reducing relapse and accelerating osteogenesis in rapid maxillary expansion using an injectable mesoporous bioactive glass/fibrin glue composite hydrogel显示文摘Rapid maxillary expansion(RME),as a common treatment for craniomaxillofacial deformity,faces the challenge of high relapse rates and unsatisfactory therapeutic effects.In this study,a standardized Sprague-Dawley(SD)rat RME model was first established with a modified expander as well as retainer design and optimized anterior maxillary expanding force of 100 g which exerted the most synchronized mobility of mid-palatal suture and incisors.Via the standardized model,the high relapse rate was proven to be attributed to insufficient osteogenesis in expanded suture,requiring long-term retainer wearing in clinical situations.To reduce the relapse rate,mesoporous bioactive glass/fibrin glue(MBG/FG)composite hydrogels were developed for an in situ minimal invasive injection that enhance osteogenesis in the expanded palate.The component of 1 wt%MBG was adopted for enhanced mechanical strength,matched degradation rate and ion dissolution,excellent in vitro biocompatibility and osteoinductivity.Effects of 1%MBG/FG composite hydrogel on osteogenesis in expanded mid-palatal sutures with/without retention were evaluated in the standardized model.The results demonstrated that injection of 1%MBG/FG composite hydrogel significantly promoted bone formation within the expanded mid-palatal suture,inhibited osteoclastogenesis and benefited the balance of bone remodeling towards osteogenesis.Combination of retainer and injectable biomaterial was demonstrated as a promising treatment to reduce relapse rate and enhance osteogenesis after RME.The model establishment and the composite hydrogel development in this article might provide new insight to other craniomaxillofacial deformity treatment and design of bone-repairing biomaterials with higher regenerative efficiency. | Hanjiang Zhao Xiangyu Wang Anting Jin Minjiao Wang Zeying Wang Xingtai Huang Jiewen Dai Xudong Wang Dan Lin Steve GF.Shen | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022，7，12： | 2 |
