Unified calculation method and its application in determining the uniaxial mechanical properties of concrete显示文摘This paper presents a unified calculation method and its application in determining the uniaxial mechanical properties of concrete with concrete strengths ranging from 10 to 140MPa.By analyzing a large collection of test results of the uniaxial mechanicalproperties of normal-strength,high-strength and super high-strength concrete in China and performing a regression analysis, unified calculation formulas for the mechanical indexes of concrete are proposed that can be applied to various grades of concrete for determining the size coefficient, uniaxial compressive strength, uniaxial tensile strength, elastic modulus, and strain at peak uniaxial compression and tension.Optimized mathematical equations for the nonlinear stress-strain relationship of concrete, including the ascending and descending branches.under uniaxial stress, are also established. The elastic modulus is almost constant throughout the elastic stage for the ascending branches of the stress-strain relationship for concrete. The proposed stress-strain relationship of concrete was applied to the nonlinear finite element analysis of both a steel-concrete composite beam and a concrete-filled steel tubular stub column. The analytical results are in good agreement with the experiment results, indicating that the proposed stress-strain relationship of concrete is applicable. The achievements presented in this paper can be used as references for the design and nonlinear finite element analysis of concrete structures. | Faxing DING Xiaoyong YING Linchao ZHOU Zhiwu YU | 2011 | Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2011,5,3: | 38
Design Principles of the Non-smooth Surface of Bionic Plow Moldboard显示文摘The diverse non-smooth body surfaces to reduce soil adhesion are the evolutional results for the soil animals to fit the adhesive and wet environment and can be used as a biological basis for the design of bionic plow moldboard. The model surfaces for bionic simulation should be taken from soil animal digging organs, on which the soil motion is similar to what is on the surface of moldboard. By analyzing the distribution of non-smooth units on the body surface of the ground beetle jaw and the soil moving stresses, the design principles of the bionic moldboard for the local and the whole moldboard were presented respectively. As well, the effect of soil moving speed on reducing adhesion, the dimensions relationship between soil particles and non-smooth convexes, the relationship between the enveloping surface of non-smooth convexes and the initial smooth surface of the plow body, and the convex types of the sphere coronal and the pangolin scales, etc.were discussed. | Luquan Ren, Shiqiao Deng, Jingchun Wang, Zhiwu Han Key Laboratory of Terrain-Machine Bionics Engineering (Ministry of Education,China), Jilin University at Nanling Campus, Changchun 130022,P.R. | 5 | Interleukin-1β is a potential therapeutic target for periodontitis: a narrative review显示文摘Interleukin(IL)-1β, a pro-inflammatory cytokine, was elevated and participates in periodontitis. Not only the link between IL-1β and periodontitis was proved by clinical evidence, but also the increased IL-1β triggers a series of inflammatory reactions and promotes bone resorption. Currently, IL-1β blockage has been therapeutic strategies for autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, cryopyrin-associated periodic syndromes, gout and type II diabetes mellitus. It is speculated that IL-1β be a potential therapeutic target for periodontitis. The review focuses on the production, mechanism, present treatments and future potential strategies for IL-1β in periodontitis. | Ran Cheng Zhiwu Wu Mingming Li Meiying Shao Tao Hu | 2020 | International Journal of Oral Science2020,12,1: | 18
Multi-Stage Basin Development and Hydrocarbon Accumulations: A Review of the Sichuan Basin at Eastern Margin of the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Sichuan Basin is one of the uppermost petroliferous basins in China. It experienced three evolutionary phases which were marine carbonate platform(Ediacaran to Late Triassic), Indosinian-Yanshanian orogeny foreland basin(Late Triassic to Late Cretaceous) and uplift and tectonic modification(Late Cretaceous to Quaternary). The present-day tectonics of the Sichuan Basin and its periphery are characterized by three basic elements which are topography, basement type and surface structure, and two settings(plate margin and interior). Therefore, be subdivided into five units which have different structure and tectonic history. The basin contains five different sets of source rocks with thickness up to 2 500 m. These source rocks were well preserved due to the presence of Middel–Lower Triassic evaporites(>~200 m) and thick terrestrial sediments filling in the Indosinian-Yanshanian foreland basin(>3 000 m). The uplift and erosion since Late Cretaceous has significant influence on cross-strata migration and accumulation of oil and gas. The multi-phase evolution of the basin and its superimposed tectonic elements, good petroleum geologic conditions and diverse petroleum systems reveal its bright exploration prospects. | Shugen Liu Bin Deng Luba Jansa Zhiwu Li Wei Sun Guozhi Wang Zhili Luo Ziquan Yong | 2018 | Journal of Earth Science2018,29,2: | 17

Experimental investigation on color variation mechanisms of structural light in Papilio maackii ménétriès butterfly wings显示文摘The body color in animals results from billions of years of their natural evolution in order to evade natural enemies, catch quarries or display themselves beauty, in-vestigation on mechanisms of structural light is an important aspect of bionics. Based on the phenomenon of Papilio maackii ménétriès’ blue scales changing into green ones immediately after dropping some alcohol aqua on the underwing sur-face and soon returning back to the original color, the relationship between micro-structure, optics characteristic of scales and changing color effect were studied using the Olympus Stereomicroscope, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and Ultraviolet (UV)-Visible Spectropho-tometer. The color variation mechanisms of blue scales of Papilio maackii mé-nétriès in Chinese Northeast were revealed in this paper. When visible lights trav-eled through the concaver structure with multilayer reflector and the filled medium with different refractive indices, the reflected lights in definite wavelengths pro-duced interference and color at that wavelength came into being. | 12 | Biological coupling anti-wear properties of three typical molluscan shells—Scapharca subcrenata, Rapana venosa and Acanthochiton rubrolineatus显示文摘Molluscan shells are fascinating examples of highly ordered hierarchical structure and complex organic-inorganic biocomposite material. However, their anti-wear properties were rarely studied especially in the perspective of biological coupling. So in the current study three typical shells, Scapharca subcrenata, Rapana venosa and Acanthochiton rubrolineatus, were selected as coupling models to further study their anti-wear properties. Stereomicroscope and scanning electron microscopic observations showed that all these three shells had specific surface morphologies and complicated section microstructures. Importantly, a special structure, pore canal tubules, was discovered in the shells of Scapharca subcrenata and Acanthochiton rubrolineatus, which probably contributed most to their anti-wear properties. X-ray diffraction and micro-Vikers hardness tester were further adopted to analyze the phase compositions and micro-hardness of the shells. The measured results demonstrated that aragonite was the most extensive phase present in the shell, and possesed a relatively high micro-hardness. In this paper, the shells were described in details in morphology, structure and material with emphasis on the relationship with anti-wear property. The study revealed that the selected seashells possess distinct anti-wear properties by complicated mechanisms involving the integrated functions of multiple biological coupling elements, and this would provide inspiration to the design of new bionic wear resistance components. | XiMei Tian ZhiWu Han XiuJuan Li ZhaoGuo Pu LuQuan Ren | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,11: | 10
Refill friction stir spot welding of 5083-O aluminum alloy显示文摘In this work, refill friction stir spot welding(RFSSW) was used to weld 2 mm-thick 5083-O alloy. The Box–Behnken experimental design was used to investigate the effect of welding parameters on the joint lap shear property. Results showed that a surface indentation of 0.3 mm effectively eliminated the welding defects.Microhardness of the stir zone(SZ) was higher than that of the base material(BM) and the hardness decreased with increasing the heat input during welding. The optimum failure load of 7.72 k N was obtained when using rotating speed of 2300 rpm, plunge depth of 2.4 mm and refilling time of 3.5 s.Three fracture modes were obtained during the lap shear test and all were affected by the hook defect. | Zhiwu Xu Zhengwei Li Shude Ji Liguo Zhang | 2018 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2018,34,5: | 10
The effect of a seasonal stratification variation on the load exerted by internal solitary waves on a cylindrical pile显示文摘On the basis of Morison's empirical formula and modal separation method in estimating the force and torque exerted by internal solitary waves(ISWs) on a cylindrical pile, it is found that the loads exerted by the ISWs change largely in different seasons at the same site of the continental shelf in the South China Sea(SCS) even under the condition that the amplitudes of ISWs are the same. Thus, the effect of a seasonal water stratification variation on the force and torque exerted by the ISWs is investigated, and a three-parameter stratification model is employed. It is shown that the loads exerted by the ISWs depend largely on the water stratification. The stronger the water stratification, the larger the force and the torque; when the depth where the maximum thermocline appears is deepened, the force decreases but the torque increases; when the width of the thermocline is narrowed, the force increases but the torque decreases. The seasonal variation of the force and the torque exerted by the ISWs in four seasons in the SCS is thus explained. | CAI Shuqun XU Jiexin CHEN Zhiwu XIE Jieshuo DENG Xiaodong LV Haibin | 2014 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2014,33,7: | 9
Stability of singular networked control systems with control constraint显示文摘Based on bounded network-induced time-delay, the networked control system is modeled as a linear time-variant singular system. Using the Lyapunov theory and the linear matrix inequality approach, the criteria for delay-independent stability and delay-dependent stability of singular networked control systems are derived and transformed to a feasibility problem of linear matrix inequality formulation, which can be solved by the Matlab LMI toolbox, and the feasible solutions provide the maximum allowable delay bound that makes the system stable. A numerical example is provided, which shows that the analysis method is valid and the stability criteria are feasible. | Qiu Zhanzhi Zhang Qingling Zhao Zhiwu | 2007 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2007,18,2: | 9
GAPIT Version 3: Boosting Power and Accuracy for Genomic Association and Prediction显示文摘Genome-wide association study(GWAS)and genomic prediction/selection(GP/GS)are the two essential enterprises in genomic research.Due to the great magnitude and complexity of genomic and phenotypic data, analytical methods and their associated software packages are frequently advanced.GAPIT is a widely-used genomic association and prediction integrated tool as an R package. The first version was released to the public in 2012 with the implementation of the general linear model(GLM),mixed linear model(MLM),compressed MLM(CMLM),and genomic best linear unbiased prediction(g BLUP).The second version was released in 2016 with several new implementations, including enriched CMLM(ECMLM)and settlement of MLMs under progressively exclusive relationship(SUPER).All the GWAS methods are based on the single-locus test. For the first time,in the current release of GAPIT,version 3 implemented three multi-locus test methods, including multiple loci mixed model(MLMM),fixed and random model circulating probability unification(Farm CPU),and Bayesian-information and linkage-disequilibrium iteratively nested keyway(BLINK).Additionally, two GP/GS methods were implemented based on CMLM(named compressed BLUP;c BLUP)and SUPER(named SUPER BLUP;s BLUP).These new implementations not only boost statistical power for GWAS and prediction accuracy for GP/GS,but also improve computing speed and increase the capacity to analyze big genomic data. Here,we document the current upgrade of GAPIT by describing the selection of the recently developed methods, their implementations, and potential impact. All documents, including source code, user manual, demo data, and tutorials, are freely available at the GAPIT website(http://gffzz0f9a043460804cfdhkwk55q6w9vfq6qqc.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/GAPIT). | Jiabo Wang Zhiwu Zhang | 2021 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2021,19,4: | 9

Effects of digestate application depth on soil nitrogen volatilization and vertical distribution显示文摘This study investigated the effect of the digestate application depth on soil nitrogen volatilization and vertical distribution in black loam soil and sandy loam column. The contents of soil moisture,TKN(total Kjeldahl nitrogen),ammonium nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, and the extent of ammonia volatilization were tested by applying digestate at depths of 0 cm,2 cm,6 cm,10 cm,15 cm and 20 cm,respectively. The experimental results showed that ammonia volatilization mainly occurred in the first 10 days and reduced significantly when the application depth was deeper than 10 cm.At the same application depth, compared with the black loam, the nitrogen loss in sandy loam through ammonia volatilization was less, and the penetration depth of nitrate nitrogen and ammonium nitrogen were all deeper. In the same soil, nitrate nitrogen penetrated deeper than ammonium nitrogen at all application depths. | Wang Lili Li Wenzhe Wang Zhongjiang Wang Zhiwu Sui Chao Li Yan | 2016 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,5: | 8
Numerical Experiment of the Solid Particle Erosion of Bionic Configuration Blade of Centrifugal Fan显示文摘In this paper, a bionic method was presented to improve the erosion resistance of blade of the centrifugal fan. A numerical investigation of the solid particle erosion on the standard and bionic configuration blade of 4-72N10C centrifugal fan was presented. The numerical study employs computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software, based on a finite volume method, in which the discrete phase model was used to modele the solid particles flow, and the Eulerian conservation equation was adopt to simulate the continuous phase. Moreover, user-defined function was used to define wear equation. The various diameters of the particles were taken into account. The positions of collision of standard and bionic fan blades were discussed, and two kinds of centrifugal fan blade wear were compared. The results show that the particles from the incident source with different positions have different processes of turning and movement when enter into the impeller. The trajectories of flow in the fan channel are significantly different for the particles with different diameters. Bionic fan blade have lower erosion rate than the standard fan blade when the particle size is 20 μm. The anti-erosion mechanism of the bionic fan blade was discussed. | Junqiu ZHANG Zhiwu HAN Wei YIN Huiyuan WANG Chao GE Jialian JIANG | 2013 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2013,26,1: | 8
A Dynamic Micromechanical Constitutive Model for Frozen Soil under Impact Loading显示文摘By taking the frozen soil as a particle-reinforced composite material which consists of clay soil(i.e., the matrix) and ice particles, a micromechanical constitutive model is established to describe the dynamic compressive deformation of frozen soil. The proposed model is constructed by referring to the debonding damage theory of composite materials, and addresses the effects of strain rate and temperature on the dynamic compressive deformation of frozen soil. The proposed model is verified through comparison of the predictions with the corresponding dynamic experimental data of frozen soil obtained from the split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB) tests at different high strain rates and temperatures. It is shown that the predictions agree well with the experimental results. | Qijun Xie Zhiwu Zhu Guozheng Kang | 2016 | Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2016,29,1: | 7
