| 1 | Intramolecular aromatic-ring stacking interaction of ternary Zn(UTP)L^(2-) complexes显示文摘THE mechanism of the action of the classic platinum antitumor drugs can be interpreted accord-ing to their bidentate, bifunctional interaction with the DNA of the tumor cell, resulting in in-hibition of the DNA replication. Recently, it was found that a new class of compounds withthe general formula cis-[Pt(NH3)2(N-het)Cl]Cl(N-het is a heteroaromatic N-base like pyri-dine) show effective antitumor activities. However, two possible mechanisms of action | LE Xueyi, WU Fuhai, SONG Fenyun and Jl Liangnian1.Department of Chemistry, Zhongshan University, Guangzhou 510275, China State Key Laboratory for Oxo Synthesis and Selective Oxidation, Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lanzhou 730000, China 2. | 2 | Ice core dust particulate by XPS-SEM/EDAX——Impact of dust particulate on SO_4^(2-) record in ice cores显示文摘The ice core dust particulate sampled from Mt. Xixabangma has been analyzed by means of X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS) and scanning electron microscope with energy dispersion X-ray analysis (SEM/EDAX). The results show that the contents of SO42- and SO32- in the surface layer of the dust are significantly higher than those in the subsurface layer (with the exception of organic sulfide). This difference indicates that the surface SOx has been captured and then chemically converted by the atmospheric dust particulate before its deposition with snow, which is obviously different from those inner layer sulfates and sulfites contained by dust itself. In addition, it has been determined by SEM/EDAX that the dust contains relatively high concentrations of transition metal elements such as Fe and Ti oxides which could function as photocatalysts to the conversion of SOx adhered on the surface of the dust, and consequently accelerate the deposition of SOx to snow. | 4 | Reaction Chemistry of W-Mn/SiO2 Catalyst for the Oxidative Coupling of Methane显示文摘Reaction chemistry of the OCM reaction on W-Mn/SiO2 catalyst has been reviewed in thisaccount. Initial activity and selectivity, stability in a long-term reaction, reaction at elevated pressures anda modelling test in a stainless-steel fluidized-bed reactor show that W-Mn/SiO2 has promising performancefor the development of an OCM process that directly produces ethylene from natural gas. A study onsurface catalytic reaction kinetics and used catalyst structure characterization revealed a possible reasonwhy C2 and COx selectivity changed during the long-term reaction. Further improvement of the catalystcomposition and preparation method should be a future direction of study on OCM reaction over W-Mn/SiO2 catalyst. | Shuben LiState Key Laboratory for Oxo Synthesis and Selective Oxidation, Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lanzhou 730000, China | 2003 | Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2003,12,1: | 2 |
| 5 | Effect of La on Partial Oxidation of Ethanol to Hydrogen over Ni/Fe Catalysts显示文摘The partial oxidation of ethanol to hydrogen was investigated over Ni/Fe/La catalysts prepared by the co precipitation method. The effects of introduction of La promoter and the reaction temperature on the catalytic performance were studied. It was found that the introduction of La into Ni/Fe catalysts is helpful to increase the selectivity to hydrogen and the stability of the catalysts. The results of XRD and XPS characterization show that the structure of the catalyst was changed during the reaction. The existence of LaFeO 3 species is possibly the main reason of the increase of the catalyst stability. | WANG Wei ping, WANG Zhi fei, DING Yan and LU¨ Gong xuan ** State Key Laboratory for Oxo Synthesis and Selective Oxidation, Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lanzhou 730000, P. | 6 | Stabilization of Cu/ZnO Based Catalysts by Nickel Additive in Methanol Decomposstion显示文摘A series of Cu/Zn based catalysts with and without Ni, prepared by the co-precipitation method, has been studied for methanol decomposition. CO and H2 are the major products. The Cu/Zn catalysts show a low initial activity and a poor stability. The formation of the CuZn alloys was observed in the deactivated Cu/Zn catalysts which were used for methanol decomposition at 250 . When small amounts of Ni were added in the catalyst, the Cu/Zn/Ni(molar ratio 5/4/ x) catalysts showed a high activity at a low temperature. The activity and the stability of the catalyst depend on the nickel content. The activity of the Cu/Zn/Ni catalysts was maintained at a. relatively stable value of 78% conversion of methanol with 95% selectivity of H2, 93% selectivity of CO, and a more than 70% yield of hydrogen was obtained at 250 C when x >1. The stability of the Cu/Zn/Ni (molar ratio 5/4/x) catalysts showed the maximum (ca 88%) when x=1. The stabilization effect of nickel on the Cu/Zn based catalysts may lead to the | XI Jing-yu, WANG Zhi-fei and LU Gong-xuan * *(State Key Laboratory for Oxo Synthesis and Selective Oxidation, Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, The Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lanzhou 730000, P.
