1Development of a PWM Precision Spraying Controller for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles显示文摘This paper presents a new Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) precisionsprayer for agriculture using a TL494 fixed-frequency pulse width modulator together with a data acquisition board and developedsoftware. An UAV can be remotely controlled or flown autonomously by pre-programmed flight plans. The PWMcontroller was implemented through the guidance system on the UAV with control commands sent between the UAV helicopterand the ground control station via a wireless telemetry system. The PWM controller was tested and validated using LabVIEW8.2. Several analyses were performed in a laboratory to test different control signals. 4Lightweight structure of a phase-change thermal controller based on lattice cells manufactured by SLM显示文摘Thermal controllers equipped with phase-change materials are widely used for maintaining the moderate temperatures of various electric devices used in spacecraft. Yet, the structures of amounts of thermal controllers add up to such a large value that restricts the employment of scientific devices due to the limit of rocket capacity. A lightweight structure of phase-change thermal controllers has been one of the main focuses of spacecraft design engineering. In this work, we design a lightweight phase-change thermal controller structure based on lattice cells. The structure is manufactured entirely with AlSi10 Mg by direct metal laser melting. The dimensions of the structure are 230 mm × 170 mm × 15 mm, and the mass is 190 g, which is 60% lighter than most traditional structures(500–600 g) with the same dimensions. The 3 D-printed structure can reduce the risk of leakage at soldering manufacture by a welding process. Whether the strength of the designed structure is sufficient is determined through mechanical analysis and experiments. 7Toward Intelligent Machine Tool显示文摘With the development of modern information technology-and particularly of the new generation of artificial intelligence(AI)technology-new opportunities are available for the development of the intelligent machine tool(IMT).Based on the three classical paradigms of intelligent manufacturing as defined by the Chinese Academy of Engineering,the concept,characteristics,and systemic structure of the IMT are presented in this paper.Three stages of machine tool evolution-from the manually operated machine tool(MOMT)to the IMT-are discussed,including the numerical control machine tool(NCMT),the smart machine tool(SMT),and the IMT.Furthermore,the four intelligent control principles of the IMT-namely,autonomous sensing and connection,autonomous learning and modeling,autonomous optimization and decision-making,and autonomous control and execution-are presented in detail.This paper then points out that the essential characteristic of the IMT is to acquire and accumulate knowledge through learning,and presents original key enabling technologies,including the instruction-domain-based analytical approach,theoretical and big-data-based hybrid modeling technology,and the double-code control method.Based on this research,an intelligent numerical control(INC)system and industrial prototypes of IMTs are developed.Three intelligent practices are conducted,demonstrating that the integration of the new generation of AI technology with advanced manufacturing technology is a feasible and convenient way to advance machine tools toward the IMT.Jihong Chen Pengcheng Hu Huicheng Zhou Jianzhong Yang Jiejun Xie Yakun Jiang Zhiqiang Gao Chenglei Zhang 2019Engineering2019,5,4:12
8Fuzzy-GA PID controller with incomplete derivation and its application to intelligent bionic artificial leg显示文摘An optimal PID controller with incomplete derivation is proposed based on fuzzy inference and the geneticalgorithm, which is called the fuzzy-GA PID controller with incomplete derivation. It consists of the off-line part andthe on-line part. In the off-line part, by taking the overshoot, rise time, and settling time of system unit step re-sponse as the performance indexes and by using the genetic algorithm, a group of optimal PID parameters K*p , Ti* ,and Tj are obtained, which are used as the initial values for the on-line tuning of PID parameters. In the on-linepart, based on K; , Ti* , and T*d and according to the current system error e and its time derivative, a dedicatedprogram is written, which is used to optimize and adjust the PID parameters on line through a fuzzy inference mech-anism to ensure that the system response has optimal dynamic and steady-state performance. The controller has beenused to control the D. C. motor of the intelligent bionic artificial leg designed by the authors. 9Time-varying fault-tolerant formation tracking based cooperative control and guidance for multiple cruise missile systems under actuator failures and directed topologies显示文摘This paper studies time-varying fault-tolerant formation tracking problems for the multiple cruise missile system under directed topologies subjected to actuator failures. Firstly, the timevarying fault-tolerant formation tracking process for the multiple cruise missile system is divided into the guidance loop and the control loop. Then protocols are constructed to accomplish distributed fault-tolerant formation tracking in the guidance loop with the adaptive updating mechanism, in the condition where neither the knowledge about actuator malfunctions nor any global information of the communication topology remains available. Moreover, sufficient conditions to accomplish formation tracking are presented, and it is shown that the multiple cruise missile system can carry on the predefined time-varying fault-tolerant control (FTC) formation tracking through the active disturbances rejection controller (ADRC) and the proportion integration (PI) controller by the way of the fault-tolerant protocol utilizing the designed strategies, in the event of actuator failures. 10Fixed-time adaptive model reference sliding mode control for an air-to-ground missile显示文摘This paper addresses the fixed-time adaptive model reference sliding mode control for an air-to-ground missile associated with large speed ranges, mismatched disturbances and un-modeled dynamics. Firstly, a sliding mode surface is developed by the tracking error of the state equation and the model reference state equation with respect to the air-to-ground missile. More specifically,a novel fixed-time adaptive reaching law is presented. Subsequently, the mismatched disturbances and the un-modeled dynamics are treated as the model errors of the state equation. These model errors are estimated by means of a fixed-time disturbance observer, and they are also utilized to compensate the proposed controller. Therefore, the fixed-time controller is obtained by an adaptive reaching law and a fixed-time disturbance observer. Closed-loop stability of the proposed controller is established. 12LQR-GA Controller for Articulated Dump Truck Path Tracking System显示文摘This paper designs a novel controller to improve the path-tracking performance of articulated dump truck(ADT). By combining linear quadratic regulator(LQR) with genetic algorithm(GA), the designed controller is used to control linear and angular velocities on the midpoint of the front frame. The novel controller based on the error dynamics model is eventually realized to track the path high-precisely with constant speed. The results of simulation and experiment show that the LQR-GA controller has a better tracking performance than the existing methods under a low speed of 3 m/s. In this paper, kinematics model and simulation control models based on co-simulation of ADAMS and Matlab/Simulink are established to verify the proposed strategy. In addition, a real vehicle experiment is designed to further more correctness of the conclusion. With the proposed controller and considering the steering model in the simulation, the control performance is improved and matches the actual situation better. 13High precision attitude dynamic tracking control of a moving space target显示文摘On-orbit spacecraft face many threats,such as collisions with debris or other spacecraft.Therefore,perception of the surrounding space environment is vitally important for on-orbit spacecraft.Spacecraft require a dynamic attitude tracking ability with high precision for such missions.This paper aims to address the above problem using an improved backstepping controller.The tracking mission is divided into two phases:coarse alignment and fine alignment.In the first phase,a traditional saturation controller is utilized to limit the maximum attitude angular velocity according to the actuator’s ability.For the second phase,the proposed backstepping controller with different virtual control inputs is applied to track the moving target.To fulfill the high precision attitude tracking requirements,a hybrid attitude control actuator consisting of a Control Moment Gyro(CMG)and Reaction Wheel(RW)is constructed,which can simultaneously avoid the CMG singularity and RW saturation through the use of an angular momentum optimal management strategy,such as null motion.Finally,five simulation scenarios were carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy and hybrid actuator.Yunhua WU Mohong ZHENG Wei HE Feng WANG Zhiming CHEN Bing HUA 2019Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2019,32,10:6
14Self-adaptive PID controller of microwave drying rotary device tuning on-line by genetic algorithms显示文摘The control design, based on self-adaptive PID with genetic algorithms(GA) tuning on-line was investigated, for the temperature control of industrial microwave drying rotary device with the multi-layer(IMDRDWM) and with multivariable nonlinear interaction of microwave and materials. The conventional PID control strategy incorporated with optimization GA was put forward to maintain the optimum drying temperature in order to keep the moisture content below 1%, whose adaptation ability included the cost function of optimization GA according to the output change. Simulations on five different industrial process models and practical temperature process control system for selenium-enriched slag drying intensively by using IMDRDWM were carried out systematically, indicating the reliability and effectiveness of control design. 16On the Misunderstanding of the Ziegler-Nichols's Formulae Usage显示文摘In the Ziegler-Nichols' s method of reaction curve,the proportional gain should be calculated as an inverse relation of the plant steady-state gain. One of the reasons behind this is to avoid an excessively high loop gain, which can jeopardize many required characteristics of the closed loop. However, many reports, scientific papers and books have been neglecting such gain compensation in the tuning formulae.This brief presents a comprehensive discussion about such uncompensated tuning rules. The main paper finding is that either the stability margin or the disturbance rejection is reduced in this case. A theoretical analysis is performed to obtain the main result. 17Stochastic averaging technique for SDOF strongly nonlinear systems with delayed feedback fractional-order PD controller显示文摘A stochastic averaging technique is proposed to study the randomly excited single-degree-of-freedom(SDOF) strongly nonlinear systems with delayed feedback fractional-order proportional-derivative(PD) controller. The delayed feedback fractional-order PD control force is approximated by an equivalent non-delay feedback control force combining with a quasi-linear elastic force and a quasi-linear damping force. The averaged It? stochastic differential equation for amplitude of the equivalent nonlinear system is derived by the generalized harmonic functions. The analytical stationary probability density function(PDF) is obtained with solving the reduced Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov(FPK) equation. Two examples of van der Pol oscillator and RayleighDuffing oscillator are studied to illustrate the application and effectiveness of the proposed method. Numerical results display that the proposed method can yield to the high precision, and the time delay could ruin the control effectiveness, but also even amplifies the response of the system more than that of uncontrolled system. Furthermore, the study finds that the parameters of fractional-order α and time delay may cause the stochastic P-bifurcation. 20A Novel Cascaded PID Controller for Automatic Generation Control Analysis With Renewable Sources显示文摘Present day power scenarios demand a high quality uninterrupted power supply and needs environmental issues to be addressed. Both concerns can be dealt with by the introduction of the renewable sources to the existing power system. Thus, automatic generation control(AGC) with diverse renewable sources and a modified-cascaded controller are presented in the paper.Also, a new hybrid scheme of the improved teaching learning based optimization-differential evolution(hITLBO-DE) algorithm is applied for providing optimization of controller parameters. A study of the system with a technique such as TLBO applied to a proportional integral derivative(PID), integral double derivative(IDD) and PIDD is compared to hITLBO-DE tuned cascaded controller with dynamic load change.The suggested methodology has been extensively applied to a 2-area system with a diverse source power system with various operation time non-linearities such as dead-band of, generation rate constraint and reheat thermal units. The multi-area system with reheat thermal plants, hydel plants and a unit of a wind-diesel combination is tested with the cascaded controller scheme with a different controller setting for each area. The variation of the load is taken within 1% to 5% of the connected load and robustness analysis is shown by modifying essential factors simultaneously by± 30%. Finally, the proposed scheme of controller and optimization technique is also tested with a 5-equal area thermal system with non-linearities.
