On coeffcient estimates for a class of holomorphic mappings显示文摘Let X be a complex Banach space with norm · , B be the unit ball in X, Dn be the unit polydisc in Cn. In this paper, we introduce a class of holomorphic mappings Mg on B or Dn. Let f(x) be a normalized locally biholomorphic mapping on B such that (Df(x))-1f(x) ∈ Mg and f(x) - x has a zero of order k + 1 at x = 0. We obtain coeffcient estimates for f(x). These results unify and generalize many known results.XU QingHua1 & LIU TaiShun2 1 College of Mathematics and Information Science, Jiangxi Normal University, Nanchang 330027, China 2 Department of Mathematics, Huzhou Teacher’s College, Huzhou 313000, China 2009Science China Mathematics2009,52,4:18
Finite element method based on combination of 'saddle point' variational formulations显示文摘A modified mixed/hybrid finite element method, which is no longer required to satisfy the Babuska-Brezzi condition, is referred to as a stabilized method Based on the duality of vanational principles in solid mechanics, a new type of stabilized method, called the combinatorially stabilized mixed/hybrid finite element method, is presented by weight-averaging both the primal and the dual 'saddle-point' schemes. Through a general analysis of stability and convergence under an abstract framework, it is shown that for the methods only an inf-sup inequality much weaker than Babuska-Brezzi condition needs to be satisfied. As a concrete application, it is concluded that the combinatorially stabilized Raviart and Thomas mixed methods permit the C -elements to replace the H(div; Ω)-elements.周天孝 1997Science China(Technological Sciences)1997,40,3:16
Asymptotic normality and strong consistency of maximum quasi-likelihood estimates in generalized linear models显示文摘In a generalized linear model with q × 1 responses, the bounded and fixed (or adaptive) p × q regressors Zi and the general link function, under the most general assumption on the minimum eigenvalue of ∑ni=1 ZiZ'i, the moment condition on responses as weak as possible and the other mild regular conditions, we prove that the maximum quasi-likelihood estimates for the regression parameter vector are asymptotically normal and strongly consistent.YIN Changming, ZHAO Lincheng & WEI Chengdong School of Mathematics and Information Science, Guangxi University, Manning 530004, China Department of Statistics and Finance, University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei 230026, China Department of Mathematics, Guangxi Teacher College, Manning 530001, China 2006Science China Mathematics2006,49,2:13

Characteristic Finite Difference Methods for Moving Boundary Value Problem of Numerical Simulation of Oil Deposit显示文摘The software for oil-gas transport and accumulation is to describe the history of oil-gas transport and accumulation in basin evolution. It is of great value in rational evaluation of prospecting and exploiting oil-gas resources. The mathematical model can be described as a coupled system of nonlinear partial differential equations with moving boundary value problem. This paper puts forward a kind of characteristic finite difference schemes, and derives from them optimal order estimates in l^2 norm for the error in the approximate solutions. The research is important both theoretically and practically for the model analysis in the field, for model numerical method and for software development.袁益让 1994Science China Mathematics1994,37,12:12

CHARACTERISTICS-FINITE ELEMENT METHODS FOR SEAWATER INTRUSION NUMERICAL SIMULATION AND THEORETICAL ANALYSIS显示文摘Both numerical simulation and theoretical analysis of seawater intrusion in coastal regions are of great theoretical importance in environmental sciences. The mathematical model can be described as a problem of the initial boundary values for a system of 3-dimensional nonlinear parabolic partial differential equations, one being the pressure flow equation and the other is the concentration convection-dispersion equation of the salt contained. For a generic case of a 3-dimensional bounded region, a backward-difference time-stepping scheme is defined. It approximates the pressure by the standard Galerkin procedure and the concentration by a Galerkin method of charederistics, where calculus of variations, theory of prior estimates and techniques are made use of Optimal order estimates in H1 norm are derived for the errors in the approximate solution.袁益让 梁栋 芮洪兴 1998Acta Mathematicae Applicatae Sinica1998,14,1:7

Simulation of four respiratory viruses and inference of epidemiological parameters显示文摘While influenza has been simulated extensively to better understand its behavior and predict future outbreaks, most other respiratory viruses have seldom been simulated. In this study,we provide an overview of four common respiratory viral infections:respiratory syncytial virus(RSV),respiratory adenovirus, rhinovirus and parainfluenza, present specimen data collected 2004e2014,and simulate outbreaks in 19 overlapping regions in the United States.Pairing a compartmental model and data assimilation methods,we infer key epidemiological parameters governing transmission:the basic reproductive number R0 and length of infection D.RSV had been previously simulated, and our mean estimate of D and R0 of 5.2 days and 2.8,respectively,are within published clinical and modeling estimates.Among the four virus groupings, mean estimates of R0 range from 2.3 to 3.0,with a lower and upper quartile range of 2.0e2.8 and 2.6e3.2,respectively.As rapid PCR testing becomes more common, estimates of the observed virulence and duration of infection for these viruses could inform decision making by clinicians and officials for managing patient treatment and response.Julia Reis Jeffrey Shaman 2018Infectious Disease Modelling2018,3,1:6
FINITE ELEMENT METHODS FOR SOBOLEV EQUATIONS显示文摘A new high-order time-stepping finite element method based upon the high-order numerical integration formula is formulated for Sobolev equations, whose computations consist of an iteration procedure coupled with a system of two elliptic equations. The optimal and superconvergence error estimates for this new method are derived both in space and in time. Also, a class of new error estimates of convergence and superconvergence for the time-continuous finite element method is demonstrated in which there are no time derivatives of the exact solution involved, such that these estimates can be bounded by the norms of the known data. Moreover, some useful a-posteriori error estimators are given on the basis of the superconvergence estimates.Tang Liu Yan-ping Lin Ming Rao J.R.Cannon 2002Journal of Computational Mathematics2002,20,6:6
THE GLOBAL SOLUTION OF INITIAL VALUE PROBLEM FOR NONLINEAR SCHRODINGER BOUSSINESQ EQUATION IN 3-DIMENSIONS显示文摘In view of a priori estimates and the continuation extension method, the global solution of theinitial value problem for nonlinear Schrodinger-Boussinesq equation in 3-dimensions has been obtained.郭柏灵 沈隆钧 1990Acta Mathematicae Applicatae Sinica1990,6,1:5
The characteristic mixed finite element method and analysis for three-dimensional moving boundary value problem显示文摘The software for oil-gas transport and accumulation is to describe the history of oil-gas transport and accumulation in basin evolution. It is of great value in rational evaluation of prospecting and exploiting oil-gas resources. This thesis, from actual conditions such as the effects of gravitation, buoyancy and capillary pressure, puts forward for the two class boundary value problem a kind of characteristic mixed finite element scheme by making use of the change of region, time step modified techniques of handling boundary value condition, negative norm estimate and the theory of prior estimates. Optimal order estimates in L2 norm are derived for the error in approximate solutions. Thus the well-known theoretical problem proposed by J. Douglas, Jr has been thoroughly and completely solved.袁益让 1996Science China Mathematics1996,39,3:5
On the Navier-Stokes Equations for Exothermically Reacting Compressible Fluids显示文摘Abstract We analyze mathematical models governing planar flow of chemical reaction from unburnt gasesto burnt gases in certain physical regimes in which diffusive effects such as viscosity and heat conduction aresignificant. These models can be then formulated as the Navier-Stokes equations for exothermically reactingcompressible fluids. We first establish the existence and dynamic behavior, including stability, regularity, andlarge-time behavior, of global discontinuous solutions of large oscillation to the Navier-Stokes equations withconstant adiabatic exponent γ and specific heat C_v. Our approach for the existence and regularity is to combinethe difference approximation techniques with the energy methods, total variation estimates, and weak conver-gence argumeots to deal with large jump discontinuities; and for large-time behavior is an a posteriori argumentdirectly from the weak form of the equations. The approach and ideas we develop here can be applied to solvinga more complicated model whereDavid Hoff Konstantina Trivisa 2002Acta Mathematicae Applicatae Sinica2002,18,1:5
Some Simple Estimates for the Singular Values of Matrices显示文摘Abstract We first provide a simple estimate for ||A-1|| and ||A-1||1 of a strictly diagonally dominant matrixA. On the Basis of the result, we obtain an estimate for the smallest singular value of A. Secondly, by scalingwith a positive diagonal matrix D, we obtain some simple estimates for the smallest singular value of an H-matrix, which is not necessarily positive definite. Finally, we give some examples to show the effectiveness ofthe new bounds.Chuan-long WANG, Guo-jian ZHANGDepartment of Mathematics, Normal College of Shanxi University, Taiyuan 030012, ChinaDepartment of Applied Mathematics, Taiyuan University of Technology, Taiyuan, 030024, China 2002Acta Mathematicae Applicatae Sinica2002,18,1:4
New Developments on Existence and Uniqueness of Solutions to Some Models in Atmospheric Dynamics显示文摘This survey is concerned with the new developments on existence and uniqueness of solutions of some basic models in atmospheric dynamics, such as two-and three-dimensional quasi-geostrophic models and three-dimensional balanced model. The main aim of this paper is to introduce some results about the global and local (with respect to time) existence of solutions given by the authors in recent years, but others’ important contributions and the literature on this subject are also quoted. We discuss briefly the relationships among the existence and uniqueness, physical instability and computational instability. In the appendixes, some key mathematical techniques in obtaining our results are presented, which are of vital importance to other problems in geophysical fluid dynamics as well.穆穆 曾庆存 1991Advances in Atmospheric Sciences1991,8,4:4
