Spatial Variability of Soil Organic Carbon Under Maize Monoculture in the Song-Nen Plain, Northeast China显示文摘Soil organic carbon (SOC) and its relationship with landscape attributes are important for evaluating current regional, continental, and global carbon stores. Data of SOC in surface soils (0–20 cm) of four main soils, Cambisol, Arenosol, Phaeozem, and Chernozem, were collected at 451 locations in Nongan County under maize monoculture in the Song-Nen Plain, Northeast China. The spatial characteristics of soil organic carbon were studied, using geographic information systems (GIS) and geostatistics. Effects of other soil physical and chemical properties, elevation, slope, and soil type on SOC were explored. SOC concentrations followed a normal distribution, with an arithmetic mean of 14.91 g kg-1 . The experimental variogram of SOC was fitted with a spherical model. There were significant correlations between soil organic carbon and bulk density (r =-0.374**), pH (r = 0.549**), total nitrogen (r = 0.781**), extractable phosphorus (r =-0.109*), exchangeable potassium (r = 0.565**), and cation exchange capacity (r = 0.313**). Generally, lower SOC concentrations were significantly associated with high elevation (r =-0.429**). Soil organic carbon was significantly negatively correlated with slope gradient (r =-0.195**). Samples of the Cambisol statistically had the highest SOC concentrations, and samples of the Arenosol had the lowest SOC value. | WANG Zong-Ming , ZHANG Bai, SONG Kai-Shan, LIU Dian-Wei and REN Chun-Ying Northeast Institute of Geography and Agricultural Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changchun 130012 (China) | 2010 | Pedosphere2010,20,1: | 18

Effects of Current Frequency on the Microstructure and Wear Resistance of Ceramic Coatings Embedded with SiC Nano-particles Produced by Micro-arc Oxidation on AZ91D Magnesium Alloy显示文摘To improve the surface wear resistance of the ceramic coating fabricated by micro-arc oxidation (MAO) on AZ91D magnesium alloy, ceramic coatings embedded with SiC nano-particles at different current frequency (500 Hz,700 Hz,and 900 Hz) were produced during the MAO process. The morphology and phase composition of the coatings were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM),field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM),and X-ray diffraction (XRD).The surface roughness of the coatings was characterized by confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM).Simultaneously, the tribological properties of the composite coatings were evaluated by using a universal materials tester (UMT).The results shows that the wear resistance of the ceramic coatings with SiC nano-particles was improved significantly compared to the ceramic coatings without SiC nano-particles.Furthermore,the composite coating formed at current frequency 900 Hz showed the better wear resistance than the others. | Yue Yang and Hua Wu Key Laboratory of Advanced Structural Materials,Ministry of Education,Changchun University of Technology,Changchun 130012,China | 2010 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,10: | 14
SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE DEVELOPMENT IN SALINE-ALKALI SOIL AREA OF SONGNEN PLAIN,NORTHEAST CHINA显示文摘There is great potential for agriculture in saline-alkali soil area in Songnen Plain, Northeast China. But the sustainable crop production in this area has been restricted by a few of main factors, such as less precipitation, h igher evaporation and frequent drought, high salinity and alkalinity, high excha ngeable sodium content and poor infiltration of the soil, and insufficiency and low availability in nutrition. It is also considered that there are a few of fav orable conditions for agricultural development in this region, such as sufficien t light and heat resources, rich ground water resources, plenty of manure produc ed by livestock, and so on. At the same time, scientific management and measurem ents have been employed; rational irrigation and drainage system has been establ ished; reclamation, amendment and fertilization of soil, and suitable strategies of cropping practices have been made for the sustainable development of agricul ture. Great progress has been made during 1996-2000. | WANG Zhi-chun, LI Qu-sheng, LI Xiu-jun, SONG Chang-chun, ZHANG Guang-xin (Northeast Institute of Geography and Agricultural Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changchun 130012, P. | 5 | Transitivity, mixing and chaos for a class of set-valued mappings显示文摘Consider the continuous map f: X → X and the continuous map (f-) of K(X)into itself induced by f, where X is a metric space and K(X) the space of all non-empty compact subsets of X endowed with the Hausdorff metric. According to the questions whether the chaoticity of f implies the chaoticity of (f-) posed by Román-Flores and when the chaoticity of f implies the chaoticity of (f-)posed by Fedeli,we investigate the relations between f and (f-) in the related dynamical properties such as transitivity, weakly mixing and mixing etc.And by using the obtained results,we give the satisfied answers to Román-Flores's question and Fedeli's question. | LIAO Gongfu, WANG Lidong & ZHANG Yucheng Institute of Mathematics, Jilin University, Changchun 130012, China Institute of Nonlinear Information Technology, Dalian Nations University, Dalian 116600, China Department of Mathematics, University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei 230026, China | 2006 | Science China Mathematics2006,49,1: | 8
Optical PPM-CDMA Communication System with Optical Hard Limiter显示文摘An optical PPM CDMA communication system with an optical hard limiter in front of the correlator of a receiver is proposed in order to reduce multi user interference. The performance of the system is evaluated when the effects of both multi user interference and photo detector shot noise are considered. An upper bound on the bit error rate is derived. The comparison of the performance of the above receiver with that of the optical PPM CDMA system without an optical hard limiter is made. Simulation results show that the performance of the system with an optical hard limiter is superior to that of the conventional one. | LI Xiao bin,\ ZHAO Xiao hui Biography:\ LI Xiao bin (1966-), female, from Shandong Province, Master degree, interested in the research of OCDMA communications.(Department of Telecommunication Engineering, Jilin University, Changchun 130012, P. | 7 | The fluxes and controlling factors of N_2O and CH_4 emissions from freshwater marsh in Northeast China显示文摘Nitrous oxide (N2O) and methane (CH4) emissions were measured using a static chamber method in two adjacent plots of freshwater marsh predominated by Calamagrostis angustifolia, one is seasonal waterlogged (SW) and the other without surface water accumulation (NW), in Sanjiang Plain wetland (47°35′N, 133°31′E), northeast China, during 2002-2004. The diurnal and seasonal flux variations of both gases were significantly correlated with 5-cm-soil temperature. The NW marsh is a source of N2O and sink of CH4, while the SW marsh is sink of N2O and source of CH4. Remarkably, we observed a N2O emission peak under Eh of +300 to +100 mV, and CH4 emission peak under Eh of +300 to +400 mV, which indicate additional sources of N2O and CH4 for the freeze-thaw induced emission peaks of N2O and CH4 observed between late July and early August. Further study shows that the additional N2O and CH4 were emitted under the frozen soil after thawing. | YU JunBao1,2, LIU JingShuang2, SUN ZhiGao1, SUN WeiDong3, WANG JinDa2, WANG GuoPing2 & CHEN XiaoBing1 1 Key Lab of Coastal Envionment Processed, Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research for Sustainable Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yantai 264003, China 2 Key Lab of Wetland Ecology and Environment, Northeast Institute of Geography and Agricultural Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changchun 130012, China 3 Key Laboratory of Isotope Geochronology and Geochemistry, Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Guangzhou 510640, China | 2010 | Science China Earth Sciences2010,53,5: | 7
HPHT preparation and Micro-Raman characterization of polycrystalline diamond compact with low residual stress显示文摘High quality grown polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) with low residual stress was prepared using the infiltration method with nickel based alloys as the solvent under high temperature and high pressure (HPHT). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to observe the micro morphology of the diamond layer and the diamond/WC substrate interface. It was found that dense and interlaced microstructure with diamond-diamond (D-D) direct bonding formed in the diamond layer of PDC. Micro-Raman spectroscopy was used to measure the Raman shift of diamonds in the polycrystalline diamond (PCD) layer and the residual stress was calculated based on the Raman shift of diamonds. Experimental results show that the residual stress of PCD layer is compressive stress, and the range of the residual stress is from 0.075 to 0.250 GPa in the whole PCD layer, much lower than that of other reports (up to 1.400 GPa). Moreover, the distribution of the residual stress from the diamond surface layer to the inner cross-section is homogeneous. | JIA HongSheng, MA HongAn, GUO Wei & JIA XiaoPeng* National Laboratory of Superhard Materials, Jilin University, Changchun 130012, China | 2010 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,8: | 7
Alterations in DNA methylation and genome structure in two rice mutant lines induced by high pressure显示文摘By using high-pressure treatment, two mutant lines were obtained from a genetically stable japonica rice cultivar Bijing38. Genomic DNA of the mutant lines, together with the original line (Bijing38), was either undigested or digested by Hpa II/Msp I, and then subjected to molecular analy-sis using two markers, ISSR and RAPD. Results indicated that changes in the PCR amplification pro-files of both markers are apparent in the two mutant lines compared with the original rice cultivar, suggesting that there had been both sequence changes and DNA methylation modifications in the mutant lines. Southern blot analysis using diverse sequences, including two cellular genes (S2 and S3), a set of retrotransposons (Osr7, Osr36, Tos19 and more), and a MITE transposon family (mPing and Pong), confirmed the results, and indicated that changes in DNA methylation pattern, genomic structure, and possible activation of some transposons indeed occurred in the mutant lines. Moreover, these changes are stably maintained through selfed generations and in different organs. Thus, our results indicate that it is possible to obtain stable mutants in rice by high pressure treatments, and the molecular basis of the mutants may include both genetic and epigenetic changes. Therefore, high hydrostatic pressure seems a promising approach for plant mutagenesis. | SHEN Sile1,3, WANG Zhenwei3, SHAN Xiaohui2, WANG Hua3, LI Ling3, LIN Xuyun2, LONG Likun2, WENG Kenan4, LIU Bao2 & ZOU Guangtian1 1. | 11 | INDUSTRIAL TRANSFORMATION OF SHENYANG CITY显示文摘Industrial transformation represents a unique economic phenomenon in China’s regional economy, and old industrial city reconstruction has long been a key problem that affects state security. As a typical old industrial city in China, Shenyang established its heavy industrial city position in the First Five-year Plan period(1953-1957), and this industrial structure has been consolidated for a long time. After 1978, Shenyang began its long lasting industrial reconstruction in an all-round way by 3 main initiatives including restructuring economic system, upgrading traditional industrial technology and developing high-tech industry. In the end of the 1990s, it could be identified that remarkable structural changes took place in city economy at large as well as individual industrial sector. According to the GDP proportion change, Shenyang is on the way to a high level industrial structure. The secondary industry also engendered significant shifting as smelting and textile industry declined sharply but IT industry increased largely. Although the ratio of the heavy industry to the light industry changed periodically, the heavy industrial output value most time kept a high proportion over 60% of the gross industrial output value in the past five decades. Shenyang has favorable conditions for developing equipment manufacturing industry, but it should carry out the program by establishing its leading role in urban economy plan, building 'Theme Industrial Parks', improving Tiexi Industrial Zone, removing any kind of system barrier, enlarging private and other ownerships economy and improving technology, marketing and management by IT application. In response to economy globalization, Shenyang needs to expand the cooperation worldwide and improve the cohesion with surrounding cities. | ZHANG Ping-yu(Northeast Institute of Geography and Agricultural Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changchun 130012, P. | 12 | Complete quantum circuit of Haar wavelet based MRA显示文摘Wavelet analysis has applications in many ar- eas, such as signal analysis and image processing. We pro- pose a method for generating the complete circuit of Haar wavelet based MRA by factoring butterfly matrices and con- ditional perfect shuffle permutation matrices. The factoriza- tion of butterfly matrices is the essential part of the design. As a result, it is the key point to obtain the circuits of I 2t ⊕ W ⊕ I 2n ? 2t ?2. In this paper, we use a simple means to de- velop quantum circuits for this kind of matrices. Similarly, the conditional permutation matrix is implemented entirely, combined with the scheme of Fijany and Williams. The cir- cuits and the ideas adopted in the design are simple and in- telligible. | HE Yuguo1,2 & SUN Jigui1,3 1. | 13 | Reconstruction of Gene Regulatory Networks Based on Two-Stage Bayesian Network Structure Learning Algorithm显示文摘In the post-genomic biology era,the reconstruction of gene regulatory networks from microarray gene expression data isvery important to understand the underlying biological system, and it has been a challenging task in bioinformatics.TheBayesian network model has been used in reconstructing the gene regulatory network for its advantages, but how to determinethe network structure and parameters is still important to be explored. This paper proposes a two-stage structure learning algorithmwhich integrates immune evolution algorithm to build a Bayesian network. The new algorithm is evaluated with the use ofboth simulated and yeast cell cycle data. The experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm can find many of theknown real regulatory relationships from literature and predict the others unknown with high validity and accuracy. | Gui-xia Liu, Wei Feng, Han Wang, Lei Liu, Chun-guang ZhouCollege of Computer Science and Technology, Jilin University, Changchun 130012,P.R. | 14 | Highly stereospecific polymerization of isoprene with homogeneous binary Ziegler-Natta catalysts based on NCN-pincer neodymium precursor显示文摘The aryldiimine NCN-pincer stabilized neodymium dichloride combined with aluminum alkyls established a new type of homogeneous binary neutral Ziegler-Natta catalyst system. This system exhibited high activity and high cis-1,4 selectivity for the polymerization of isoprene (Tp=20 °C,98.2%;Tp=-20 °C,> 99%).Such catalytic performances remained under a broad range of polymerization temperatures and monomer-to-neodymium ratios (from 500 to 8000),reaching high number-average molecular weight (Mn=1582 kg/mol) and relatively narrow molecular weight distribution (PDI=1.68),which was, however, influenced by the amount and bulkiness of aluminum alkyls.Dynamic investigation of the polymerization was performed, which showed the number-average molecular weight of the resultant polyisoprene had an almost linear correlation with the conversion, suggesting,in some degree, the polymerization with this catalytic system was controllable. | LIU DongTao1,2,CUI DongMei1 & GAO Wei3 1State Key Laboratory of Polymer Physics and Chemistry Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Changchun 130022,China 2Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences,Beijing 100039,China 3School of Chemistry,Jilin University,Changchun 130012,China | 2010 | Science China Chemistry2010,53,8: | 4
Key technology of mine underground mobile positioning based on LiDAR and coded sequence pattern显示文摘Technologies of underground mobile positioning were proposed based on LiDAR data and coded sequence pattern landmarks for mine shafts and tunnels environment to meet the needs of fast and accurate positioning and navigation of equipments in the mine underground without satellite navigation signals. A coded sequence pattern was employed for automatic matching of 3D scans. The methods of SIFT feature, Otsu segmentation and fast hough transformation were described for the identification, positioning and interpretation of the coded sequence patterns, respectively. The POSIT model was presented for speeding up computation of the translation and rotation parameters of LiDAR point data, so as to achieve automatic 3D mapping of mine shafts and tunnels. The moving positioning experiment was applied to evaluating the accuracy of proposed pose estimation method from LiDAR scans and coded sequence pattern landmarks acquired in an indoor environment. The performance was evaluated using ground truth data of the indoor setting so as to measure derivations with six degrees of freedom. | WANG Zhi1, 2, WU Li-xin1, 2, LI Hui-ying3 1. | 16 | On the temperature characteristics of phase measurement in homodyne fiber interferometer显示文摘Different from the traditional way of using piezoelectric (PZT) phase shifter to measure phase difference,a new method is designed to calculate it between signals in the two arms of a homodyne fiber interferometer. A simple homodyne fiber interferometer system is then established to measure the interference photocurrent and the photocurrents from the two fiber arms generated by the signal power on a temperature control plat. The homodyne fiber interferometer system is composed of fiber and sensitive to the variation of temperature. Thus,is necessary to study the temperature characteristics in the phase measurement of homodyne fiber interferometer. The experimental results show that the variation of the phase difference of signals in the two fiber arms is proportional to the variation of temperature. | GAO Bo,TIAN Xiao-jian ,WU Ge,RU Yu-xing,WANG Qing College of Electronic Science and Engineering ,State Key Laboratory of Integrated Optoelectronics,Jilin University ,Changchun 130012,China | 2010 | The Journal of China Universities of Posts and Telecommunications2010,17,2: | 3

LAND RECLAMATION PROCESS IN NORTHEAST CHINA SINCE 1900显示文摘Northeast China is an important agricultural region in China. The No rtheast Plain is the largest plain in the country and one of the three famous bl ack soil zones in the world. Despite of fertility of the soil, however, large-s cale agricultural development mainly took place since 1900. The land exploitatio n and utilization has been fast and intensive in this region since then and chan ge in the land-cover process has been remarkable. Both national and internation al researchers on land use and land cover are paying more attention to these pro cesses in this region and their implication for local ecological environment. Th is article discusses the land reclamation processes and their main driving force s in Northeast China since 1900. According to the research, the 20th century was the most important period for land reclamation in Northeast China. In these yea rs the rate, intensity and quantity of land reclamation have been staggering, an d more than 100 000km2 of land was converted into farmland. This magnitude of la nd reclamation inland is unique in the world. Research on the land reclamation o f Northeast China can provide some data on the effect of human activity on envir onment. As in many other places in the world, the primary driving force of recla mation in Northeast China was the increasing pressure of population. In the 20th century the population increased from 10×106 to 110×106 in Northeast China an d from 400×106 to 1.3×109 in China. Population pressure is thus the most impor tant driving force for land reclamation. | ZHANG Bai, CUI Hai-shan, YU Lei, HE Yan-fen (Northeast Institute of Geography and Agricultural Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changchun 130012,P.R.China) | 2003 | Chinese Geographical Science2003,13,2: | 3
| 19 | Dose-dependent Cytotoxicity and Oxidative Stress Induced by 'Naked' Fe_3O_4 Nanoparticles in Human Hepatocyte显示文摘The dose-dependent cytotoxicity effect on human hepatocyte(HL-7702 cells) induced by 'naked' Fe3O4 nanoparticles was assessed through cell viabilities and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) activities. Three important oxi dative indexes of the cells by glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px), superoxide dismutase(SOD) and malondialde hyde(MDA) were determined. The good correlation of the cell viabilities with their GSH-Px, SOD and MDA levels indicated that the cytotoxicity is related to activation of oxidative stress induced by Fe3O4 nanoparticles. The oxida tive stress also leads to corresponding DNA damage in a similar dose-dependent manner, followed by the changes of cell cycle and cell apoptosis. Such work provides important experimental data for the safety evaluation of superpa ramagnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles. | LIN Xin-li1, ZHAO Shu-hua1, ZHANG Long1, HU Gui-qin1, SUN Zhi-wei1,3 and YANG Wen-sheng2 1. | 20 | Using remote sensing to research Beijing wetlands dynamics显示文摘In Beijing, where wetlands are important to municipal freshwater conservation and biodiversity retention, three different types of wetlands were identified: riverside wetlands, wetlands surrounding lakes and reservoirs, and wetlands in municipal parks.Remote sensing technology was applied in combination with field investigations to monitor and analyze the changes in these wetlands, and a combination of fusion technologies,Landsat TM/ETM+ and IKONOS imaging, was used to investigate and map them. This study indicates that not only have wetland areas been reduced by half, but also their ecological environments have been degraded because of rapid economic development and population increase.
