| 1 | Isolation of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotube Enantiomers by Density Differentiation显示文摘Current methods of synthesizing single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWNTs)result in racemic mixtures that have impeded the study of left-and right-handed SWNTs.Here we present a method of isolating different SWNT enantiomers using density gradient ultracentrifugation.Enantiomer separation is enabled by the chiral surfactant sodium cholate,which discriminates between left-and right-handed SWNTs and thus induces subtle differences in their buoyant densities.This sorting strategy can be employed for simultaneous enrichment by handedness and roll-up vector of SWNTs having diameters ranging from 0.7 to 1.5 nm.In addition,circular dichroism of enantiomer refined samples enables identification of high-energy optical transitions in SWNTs. | Alexander A.Green Matthew C.Duch Mark C.Hersam | 2009 | Nano Research2009,2,1: | 7 |

| 3 | 砂土震陷分析中多维地震荷载等效循环周数计算显示文摘借助有限元数值方法模拟不同砂土试样在多向和单向地震荷载输入条件下的动三轴试验,选取覆盖大震、中震、近场、远场及不同土质条件的155组多向地震输入时程对不同砂土试样分别进行单向和多向加载,建立考虑多向地震荷载作用的等效循环周数计算方法,并研究震级、震中距和砂土特性对等效循环周数比的影响。研究表明,震级和震中距对等效循环周数比影响不明显,砂土特性对等效循环周数比的影响具有主导作用,砂土相对密度为45%、60%、80%和100%时,其对应的等效循环周数比均值分别为1.58、1.75、1.93和2.08,相对密度越大,比值越大,结合该比值,可以较好地应用文中提出方法进行多维地震荷载等效循环周数计算。 | 陈青生 高广运 Russell A.Green 张蕾 | 2010 | 世界地震工程2010,26,S1: | 5 |
| 4 | Anthropometrics and electromyography as predictors for maximal voluntary isometric arm strength显示文摘Background:Muscular strength can be conceptually determined by two components:muscle activation and size.Muscle activation by the central nervous system can be measured by surface electromyography(sEMG).Muscular size reflects the amount of contractile protein within a skeletal muscle and can be estimated by anthropometric measurements.The purpose of this study was to determine the relative contributions of size parameters and muscle activation to the prediction of maximal voluntary isometric elbow flexion strength. Methods:A series of anthropometric measurements were taken from 96 participants.Torque and root-mean-square(RMS) of the sEMG from the biceps brachii were averaged across three maximal voluntary isometric contractions.A multiple linear regression analysis was performed based on a Pearson’s correlation matrix. Results:Body weight(BW) accounted for 39.1% and 27.3% in males and females,respectively,and was the strongest predictor of strength for males.Forearm length(L3) was the strongest predictor of strength in females(partial R^2 = 0.391).Elbow circumference(ELB) accounted for a significant(p < 0.05) amount of variance in males but not females.The addition of sEMG RMS as a third variable accounted for an average of 10.1% of the variance excluding the equation of BW and L3 in females.The strongest prediction equation included BW,L3,and ELB accounting for 55.6% and 58.5% of the variance in males and females,respectively. Conclusion:Anthropometrics provide a strong prediction equation for the estimation of isometric elbow flexion strength.Muscle activation,as measured by sEMG activity,accounted for a significant(p < 0.05) amount of variance in most prediction equations,however,its contribution was comparable to an additional anthropometric variable. | Lara A.Green David A.Gabriel | 2012 | Journal of Sport and Health Science2012,1,2: | 2 |
