| 1 | Plasmonic enhancement of upconversion emission in Ag@NaYF4:Er^3+/Yb^3+phosphor显示文摘In this article upconversion luminescence of silver nanoparticles(AgNPs) coated NaYF_4:Er^(3+)/Yb^(3+)phosphor nano-particles was investigated.The prepared samples were characterized through various techniques.The surface plasmon band is observed for prepared AgNPs by analyzing UV-vis measurements and is used to enhance the upconversion emission.From the upconversion measurement the emission bands are observed at 522,546,and 656 nm corresponding to the ~2 H_(11/2)→ 4~1_(15/2),~4 S_(3/2)→~4 I_(15/2)and ~4 F_(9/2)→~4 I_(15/2) levels,respectively.The upconversion emission intensity of the above bands is found to enhance for sample containing 1 mmol AgNPs.Decay time of ~4 S_(3/2) and 4~F_(9/2) levels is found to decrease on coating of AgNPs and hence intensity enhancement is assumed due to the surface plasmon resonance(SPR) effect. | S.K.Maurya S.R Tiwari A.Kumar K.Kumar | 2018 | Journal of Rare Earths2018,36,9: | 3 |

| 3 | High Order Stable Infinite Impulse Response Filter Design Using Cuckoo Search Algorithm显示文摘In this paper,an efficient technique for optimal design of digital infinite impulse response(IIR) filter with minimum passband error(ep),minimum stopband error(es),high stopband attenuation(As),and also free from limit cycle effect is proposed using cuckoo search(CS) algorithm.In the proposed method,error function,which is multi-model and non-differentiable in the heuristic surface,is constructed as the mean squared difference between the designed and desired response in frequency domain,and is optimized using CS algorithm.Computational efficiency of the proposed technique for exploration in search space is examined,and during exploration,stability of filter is maintained by considering lattice representation of the denominator polynomials,which requires less computational complexity as well as it improves the exploration ability in search space for designing higher filter taps.A comparative study of the proposed method with other algorithms is made,and the obtained results show that 90% reduction in errors is achieved using the proposed method.However,computational complexity in term of CPU time is increased as compared to other existing algorithms. | N.Agrawal A.Kumar V.Bajaj G.K.Singh | 2017 | International Journal of Automation and computing2017,14,5: | 2 |

| 5 | iPSC-derived cranial neural crest-like cells can replicate dental pulp tissue with the aid of angiogenic hydrogel显示文摘The dental pulp has irreplaceable roles in maintaining healthy teeth and its regeneration is a primary aim of regenerative endodontics.This study aimed to replicate the characteristics of dental pulp tissue by using cranial neural crest(CNC)-like cells(CNCLCs);these cells were generated by modifying several steps of a previously established method for deriving NC-like cells from induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs).CNC is the anterior region of the neural crest in vertebrate embryos,which contains the primordium of dental pulp cells or odontoblasts.The produced CNCLCs showed approximately 2.5-12,000-fold upregulations of major CNC marker genes.Furthermore,the CNCLCs exhibited remarkable odontoblastic differentiation ability,especially when treated with a combination of the fibroblast growth factors(FGFs)FGF4 and FGF9.The FGFs induced odontoblast marker genes by 1.7-5.0-fold,as compared to bone morphogenetic protein 4(BMP4)treatment.In a mouse subcutaneous implant model,the CNCLCs briefly fated with FGF4+FGF9 replicated dental pulp tissue characteristics,such as harboring odontoblast-like cells,a dentin-like layer,and vast neovascularization,induced by the angiogenic self-assembling peptide hydrogel(SAPH),SLan.SLan acts as a versatile biocompatible scaffold in the canal space.This study demonstrated a successful collaboration between regenerative medicine and SAPH technology. | Yoshifumi Kobayashi Julie Nouet Erdenechimeg Baljinnyam Zain Siddiqui Daniel HFine Diego Fraidenraich Vivek A.Kumar Emi Shimizu | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,8: | 2 |
| 6 | Effect of Substrate and Annealing Temperatures on Mechanical Properties of Ti-rich NiTi Films显示文摘The effect of substrate and annealing temperatures on mechanical properties of Ti-rich NiTi films deposited on Si (100) substrates by DC magnetron sputtering was studied by nanoindentation.NiTi films were deposited at two substrate temperatures viz.300 and 400 ℃.NiTi films deposited at 300 ℃ were annealed for 4 h at four different temperatures,i.e.300,400,500 and 600 C whereas films deposited at 400 ℃ were annealed for 4 h at three different temperatures,i.e.400,500 and 600 ℃.The elastic modulus and hardness of the films were found to be the same in the as-deposited as well as annealed conditions for both substrate temperatures.For a given substrate temperature,the hardness and elastic modulus were found to remain unchanged as long as the films were amorphous.However,both elastic modulus and hardness showed an increase with increasing annealing temperature as the films become crystalline.The results were explained on the basis of the change in microstructure of the film with change in annealing temperature. | A.Kumar S.K.Sharma S.Bysakh S.V.Kamat S.Mohan | 2010 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,11: | 2 |

| 13 | Influence of Al_2O_3 particles on the microstructure and mechanical properties of copper surface composites fabricated by friction stir processing显示文摘The influence of three factors, such as volume percentage of reinforcement particles(i.e. Al2O3), tool tilt angle and concave angle of shoulder, on the mechanical properties of Cue Al2O3 surface composites fabricated via friction stir processing was studied. Taguchi method was used to optimize these factors for maximizing the mechanical properties of surface composites. The fabricated surface composites were examined by optical microscope for dispersion of reinforcement particles. It was found that Al2O3 particles are uniformly dispersed in the stir zone. The tensile properties of the surface composites increased with the increase in the volume percentage of the Al2O3 reinforcement particles.This is due to the addition of the reinforcement particles which increases the temperature of recrystallization by pinning the grain boundaries of the copper matrix and blocking the movement of the dislocations.
