High Risk Factors of Pancreatic Carcinoma显示文摘Over the past decades, cancer has become one of the toughest challenges for health professionals. The epidemiologists are increasingly directing their research efforts on various malignant tumor worldwide. Of note, incidence of cancers is on the rise more quickly in developed countries. Indeed, great endeavors have to be made in the control of the life-threatening disease. As we know it, pancreatic cancer(PC) is a malignant disease with the worst prognosis. While little is known about the etiology of the PC and measures to prevent the condition, so far, a number of risk factors have been identified. Genetic factors, pre-malignant lesions, predisposing diseases and exogenous factors have been found to be linked to PC. Genetic susceptibility was observed in 10% of PC cases, including inherited PC syndromes and familial PC. However, in the remaining 90%, their PC might be caused by genetic factors in combination with environmental factors. Nonetheless, the exact mechanism of the two kinds of factors, endogenous and exogenous, working together to cause PC remains poorly understood. The fact that most pancreatic neoplasms are diagnosed at an incurable stage of the disease highlights the need to identify risk factors and to understand their contribution to carcinogenesis. This article reviews the high risk factors contributing to the development of PC, to provide information for clinicians and epidemiologists. | Soriba Naby Camara 殷涛 杨明 李响 龚琼 周静 赵刚 杨智勇 Tajoo Aroun Martin Kuete Sonam Ramdany Alpha Kabinet Camara Aissatou Taran Diallo 冯珍 宁辛 熊炯新 陶京 钦琪 周伟 崔静 黄敏 郭尧 勾善淼 王博 刘涛 Ohoya Etsaka Terence Olivier Tenin Conde Mohamed Cisse Aboubacar Sidiki Magassouba Sneha Ballah Naby Laye Moussa Keita Ibrahima Sory Souare Aboubacar Toure Sadamoudou Traore Abdoulaye Korse Balde Namory Keita Naby Daouda Camara Dusabe Emmanuel 吴河水 王春友 | 2016 | Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology(Medical Sciences)2016,36,3: | 3
Additive potential of ginger starch on antifungal potency of honey against Candida albicans显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the additive action of ginger starch on the antifungal activity of honey against Candida albicans(C.albicans).Methods:C.albicans was used to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)of four varieties of Algerian honey.Lower concentrations of honey than the MIC were incubated with a set of concentrations of starch and then added to media to detennine the minimum additive inhibitory concentration(MAIC).Results:The MIC for the four varieties of honey without starch against C.albicans ranged between 38%and 42%(v/v).When starch was incubated with honey and then added to media,a MIC drop was noticed with each variety.MAIC of the four varieties ranged between 32%honey(v/v)with 4%starch and 36%honey(v/v) with 2%starch.Conclusions:The use of ginger starch allows honey benefit and will constitute an alternative way against the resistance to antifungal agents. | Ahmed Moussa Djebli Noureddine Hammoudi SM Aissat Saad Akila Bourabeh Hemida Houari | 2012 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2012,2,4: | 3
Antifungal activity of four honeys of different types from Algeria against pathogenic yeast:Candida albicans and Rhodotorula sp.显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the antifungal activity of four honeys of different types from Algeria against pathogenic yeast i.e.Candida albicans(C.albicans) and Rhoddtorula sp.Methods:Four Algeria honeys of different botanical origin were analvzed to test anlilungal effect against C.albicans, and Rhodotorula sp.Different concentrations(undiluted,10%,30%,50%and 70%w/v) of honey were studied in vitro for their antifugal aclivity using C.albicans and Rhodotorula sp.as fungal strains. Results:The range of the c liameter of zone of inhibition of various concentrations ol tested honeys was(7-23 mm) for Rhodotorula sp.,while C.albicans showed clearly resistance towards all concentrations used. The MICs of tested honey concentrations against C.albicans and Rhodotorula sp.were(70.09-93.48)%and(4.90-99.70)%v/v,respectively.Conclusions:This study demonstrales that,in vitro, these natural products have clearly an antifungal activity against Rhodotorula sp.and C.albicans. | Ahmed Moussa Djebli Noureddine Aissat Saad Meslem Abdelmelek Benhalima Abdelkader | 2012 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2012,2,7: | 3
Antibacterial activity of various honey types of Algeria against Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes显示文摘Objective:To assess the in vitro antibacterial activity of honey from different geographical location on Gram negative organismes. Methods:Different concentrations(Undiluted honey,10%, 30%,50%and 70%wt/vol) of honey were studied in vitro using Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus) and Streptococcus pyogenes(S.pyogenes),briefly,two-fold dilutions of honey solutions were tested to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) against each type of microorganism, followed by more assays within a narrower dilution range to obtain more precise MIC values.MICs were determined by both visual inspection and spectrophotometric assay at 620 nm.These honey samples were compared with standard antibiotics like ampicillin, penicillin G,amoxicillin, gentamycin, tobramycin, erythromycin and chloramphenicol was determined by the disc diffusion method. Results:The diameter of zone of the inhibition(ZDI) of honey has various concentrations tested for the isolates ranged 0-46 mm for S.aureus,0-44 mm for S.pyogenes.While the MIC(%) ranged 12%-95%,25%-73%respectively.Conclusions:Algeria honey,in-vitro,possess antibacterial activity. | Ahmed Moussa Djebli Noureddine Hammoudi Si Mohamed Meslem Abdelmelek Aissat Saad | 2012 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2012,5,10: | 2

Spirometric Abnormalities Met among Senegalese Workers Exposed to Chlorine Gas显示文摘Introduction: Chlorine as a disinfectant has many side effects on respiratory function. This respiratory toxicity may be related to the exposure time. Materials and Methods: Measure the impact of the duration of chlorine gas exposure on the respiratory function of Senegalese workers who work in the national water production factory: Senegalaise Des Eaux (SDE), aged 35-54 years. Twenty-four (24) male subjects exposed to chlorine gas were divided into two groups, one (35-44) and the other (45-54). Clinical examinations were performed on each employee, followed by chest x-rays and spirometry. We included all subjects whose first or last two spirometry results were normal. Results: In the 35-44 years group, 50% of subjects had disturbed spirometry including 41.6% of obstructive syndrome (OS), at the second spirometry and 8.3% had a restrictive syndrome FVC at -25%, at the 3rd spirometry 4/12 had a normal spirometry. The duration of exposure was 10 years. For subjects in 45-54 years, 8/12 had persistent OS or accentuated, then at the 3rd spirometry we had 10 subjects. The duration of exposure was 17.5 years. Conclusion: Compared with (35-44) group, older (45-54) subjects had significant OS, which may be related to duration of exposure. | Houndjo Salimata Diagne Ouattara Rokia Mbengue Arame Ouedraogo Valentin Seck Aissatou Sow Abdou khadre Diaw Mor Toure Maimouna Coly Mame Saloum Ba Awa Sar Fatou Bintou Ba Abdoulaye Samb Abdoulaye | 2019 | Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology2019,7,11: | 0
