1Serum MiRNA as Predictive and Prognosis Biomarker in Advanced Stage Non-small Cell Lung Cancer in Indonesia显示文摘Background and objective Lung cancer is the most common cause of death in men in the world and in Indonesia where nonsmall cell carcinoma lung cancer(NSCLC) constitutes 85% of all lung cancer cases. The high mortality rate is due to a poor prognosis and is often diagnosed as having advanced stages. If it is known at the initial stage, the prognosis of lung cancer will be better. Prognosis can be predicted with a marker of prognostic biology, one of which is micro RNA(mi RNA). This study aims to prove that serum mi RNA can be predictive biological marker and prognosis in NSCLC patients in Indonesia.Methods This study was cohort retrospective among 52 subjects in 'Dharmais' Hospital National Cancer Center. Sample was obtained from patients’ serum. Mi R-34, mi R-148, mi R-155 and mi R-222 serum are measured through Real-Time PCR(q PCR). Data were analyzed and interpreted with descriptive analysis, bivariate analysis(Mann Whitney-U for two type of variables or Kruskal-Wallis for more than two type of variables. Kaplan-Meier analysis was used to know association between characteristic which are sociodemographic, performance status, clinico-pathology, and survival rate in mi RNA expression. Results From this study, mi RNA expression: mi R-34(46.15%), mi R-148(23.08%), mi R-155(40.38%) and mi R-222(32.69%). Performance status score was statistically significant correlation with mi R-148(P=0.049) and mi R-222(P=0.018). High mi R-34 is associated with multiple M1 b metastatic type(P=0.020), cancer cell type(adenocarcinoma, P=0.009) and adenocarcinoma epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) mutation(negative, P=0.031). There was a significant correlation between the high mi R-222 as a poor prognosis in advanced stage NSCLC with M1 b metastasis(Median Survival/MS: 27 d, P=0.049) and positive EGFR mutations(MS: 74 d, P=0.049) and correlation of mi R-155 with adenocarcinoma(MS: 69 d, P=0.034) and positive EGFR gene mutations(MS: 58 d, P=0.023).Conclusion High mi R-34 expression in advanced stage NSCLC is the predictive factor for multiple metastatic, adenocarcinoma cell type and adenocarcinoma negative EGFR mutation. High expression of mi R-155 and mi R-222 are poor prognoses, especially high mi R-222 found in metastasis M1 b and positive EGFR mutation and mi R-155 found in adenocarcinoma and positive EGFR gene mutations. 2Qualitative analysis of catechins from green tea GMB-4 clone using HPLC and LC-MS/MS显示文摘Objective:To identify the bioactive compounds in catechins isolation and its components from green tea GMB-4 clone.Methods:Green tea GMB-4 clones were extracted with distilled water at 90C.Samples were eluted into the column with 10%ethanol.Subsequently,the column was eluted with95%ethanol and evaporated separately.Green tea extract was identified by thin layer chromatography.Catechins were separated by the stationary phase in column chromatography using polyamide with 10%ethanol eluent and 95%ethanol.The results of isolations were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatographic(HPLC)and LCMS/MS.Analysis of catechins by HPLC was done by external standard.Results:Fraction from 10%ethanol showed that four major peaks at retention time of1.663,2.367,2.950 and 4.890,indicated the presence of four catechins components including catechin,epicatechins,gallocatechin and epigallocatechin.Whereas,fraction from 95%ethanol showed two main peaks at retention time of 5.167 and 9.82,which indicated the presence of epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG)and epicatechin gallate(ECG).EGCG(m/z 459),epigallocatechin(m/z 307),ECG(m/z 443),and epicatechin(m/z 291)were isolated and separated successfully using HPLC and LC-MS/MS.Conclusions:The HPLC and LC-MS/MS methods were successfully tuned for the qualitative analysis of green tea extract with EGCG and ECG.Four major catechins were separated and identified by LC-MS/MS,such as EGCG,epigallocatechin,ECG and epicatechin.The result of HPLC analysis showed that EGCG and ECG were main components from catechins isolation of green tea GMB-4 clone.Erna Susanti Ciptati Retty Ratnawati Aulanni'am Achmad Rudijanto 2015Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2015,5,12:3
3Growth response of broom (Cytisus scoparius) growing with and without radiata pine (Pinus radiata) seedlings to different P levels in soils显示文摘A study was carried out to test the effects of three rates of TSP (triple superphosphate) (0, 50, and 100 mg·kg -1 P) on growth of broom with and without radiata pine seedlings and to determine the rela- tionships between P concentrations in the broom shoot and dry matter yields with soil plant-available P (Bray-2 P). A bulk sample of soil was collected from Kaweka forest at soil depth of 0 10 cm, in New Zealand on March 11, 2001. The forest area was not supplied with fertiliser at least 30 years. The results show that TSP application increased P avail- ability in the soil. The P availability concentration in soil of broom with radiata pine seedlings was higher than that in soil of broom alone. 4Removal of lead(Pb(Ⅱ))and zinc(Zn(Ⅱ))from aqueous solution using coal fly ash(CFA)as a dual-sites adsorbent显示文摘Coal fly ash(CFA)is composed of minerals containing some oxides in crystalline phase(i.e.,quartz and mullite),as well as unburned carbon as mesoporous material,thus enabling CFA to act as a dual-sites adsorbent with unique properties.This work focused on the adsorption of Pb(Ⅱ)and Zn(Ⅱ)from binary system,a mixture containing two metal ion solutions present simultaneously,onto NaOH-modified CFA(MCFA).Several adsorption tests were conducted to evaluate the effect of several parameters,including pH and contact times.The experiment results indicated that chemical treatment of CFA with NaOH increased pore volume from 0.021 to 0.223 cm^3·g^(-1).In addition,it could also enhance the availability of functional groups on both minerals and unburned carbon,resulting in almost 100%Pb(Ⅱ)and 97%Zn(Ⅱ)adsorbed.The optimum pH for adsorption system was pH=3 and quasi-equilibrium occurred in 240 minutes.Equilibrium data from the experimental results were analyzed using Modified Extended Langmuir(MEL)and Competitive Adsorption Langmuir-Langmuir(CALL)isotherm models.The analysis results showed that the CALL isotherm model could better describe the Pb(Ⅱ)and Zn(Ⅱ)adsorption process onto MCFA in binary system compared with MEL isotherm model.Widi Astuti Achmad Chafidz Ahmed S.Al-Fatesh Anis H.Fakeeha 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,6:2
