1Enhanced adsorption of Methylene Blue from aqueous solution by chitosan-g-poly(acrylic acid)/vermiculite hydrogel composites显示文摘A series of chitosan-g-poly(acrylic acid)/vermiculite hydrogel composites were synthesized and used as adsorbents for the investigation of the effect of process parameters such as vermiculite content,pH of dye solution,contact time,initial concentration of dye solution,temperature,ionic strength and concentration of surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate on the removal of Methylene Blue(MB) from aqueous solution.The results showed that the adsorption capacity for dye increased with increasing pH,contact time and initial dye concentration,but decreased with increasing temperature,ionic strength and sodium dodecyl sulfate concentration in the present of the surfactant.The adsorption kinetics of MB onto the hydrogel composite followed pseudo second-order kinetics and the adsorption equilibrium data obeyed Langmuir isotherm.By introducing 10 wt.% vermiculite into chitosan-g-poly(acrylic acid) polymeric network,the obtaining hydrogel composite showed the highest adsorption capacity for MB,and then could be regarded as a potential adsorbent for cationic dye removal in a wastewater treatment process.Yi Liu Yian Zheng Aiqin Wang 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,4:31
2Ultrastable single-atom gold catalysts with strong covalent metal-support interaction (CMSI)显示文摘Supported noble metal nanoparticles (including nanoclusters) are widely used in many industrial catalytic processes. While the finely dispersed nanostructures are highly active, they are usually thermodynamically unstable and tend to aggregate or sinter at elevated temperatures. This scenario is particularly true for supported nanogold catalysts because the gold nanostructures are easily sintered at high temperatures, under reaction conditions, or even during storage at ambient temperature. Here, we demonstrate that isolated Au single atoms dispersed on iron oxide nanocrystallites (Aul/FeOx) are much more sintering- resistant than Au nanostructures, and exhibit extremely high reaction stability for CO oxidation in a wide temperature range. Theoretical studies revealed that the positively charged and surface-anchored Aul atoms with high valent states formed significant covalent metal-support interactions (CMSIs), thus providing the ultra-stability and remarkable catalytic performance. 3Efficacy and safety evaluation of icotinib in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of icotinib hydrochloride in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Methods: A total of 89 patients with stage ⅢB or IV NSCLC received icotinib at a dose of 125 mg administered 3 times a day. Icotinib treatment was continued until disease progression or development of unacceptable toxicity. Results: A total of 89 patients were assessable. In patients treated with icotinib, the overall response rate (RR) was 36.0% (32/89), and the disease control rate (DCR) was 69.7% (62/89). RR and DCR were significantly improved in patients with adenocarcinoma versus non-adenocarcinoma (P<0.05). The symptom improvement rate was 57.3% (51/89), and the main symptoms improved were cough, pain, chest distress, dyspnea, and Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status. The main toxic effects were rash [30/89 (33.7%)] and diarrhea [15/89 (16.9%)]. The level of toxicity was typically low. 4Highly effective removal of Methylene Blue using functionalized attapulgite via hydrothermal process显示文摘Attapulgite(APT) has been frequently used for the adsorptive removal of dyes from aqueous solution owing to its unique one-dimensional nanoscale structure and low-cost, abundant,eco-friendly advantages. In this work, APT was functionalized under mild hydrothermal condition using chloroacetic acid(CA) with \COOH functional groups to improve its adsorption properties. The effect of hydrothermal modification on the microstructure and physicochemical features of APT was investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and Field-emission scanning electron microscopy analyses. The effects of hydrothermal reaction parameters on the adsorption properties of modified APT were intensively investigated. It was revealed that the rearrangement of crystal structure and the surface functionalization of APT with \COOH groups cause the surprising increase of adsorption capability for Methylene Blue(MB). The removal ratio of raw APT for MB is only 59.52%, while modified APT could almost completely remove MB in the 200 mg/L of MB solution with a removal ratio of 99.8%. The adsorption kinetics fitted pseudo second-order kinetic model, and the adsorption isotherm could be described with Langmuir isotherm model very well. 5The discovery of the oldest rocks in the Kuluketage area and its geological implications显示文摘The basement rocks in the Kuluketage area are composed predominately of tonalite-trondhjemite-granodiorite rocks, and occured mainly in Xinger and Korla. U-Pb dating of TTG gneiss near Korla yielded a late Neoarchean weighted mean 207Pb/206Pb age of 2.65 Ga, which is the oldest published age for the TTG rocks in the Kuluketage area and thus suggests that Archean terrane in the area was formed in the late Neoarchean. The Korla gneiss is much younger than the TTG rocks in the northern Altyn Tagh, eastern Tarim Craton, indicating that the oldest terrane of the Tarim Craton was exposed probably in the northern Altyn Tagh. Until late Neoarchean, the Tarim continent extends to the Kuluketage area and finally had generated a relatively large uniform Archean basement within the craton. Zircon Hf isotopic analyses of the TTG gneiss give low εHf(t) values (-5 to 1) with Paleoarchean to Mesoarchean two-stage model ages (TDM2) between 3.0 and 3.3 Ga, suggesting that the basement rocks in the northern Tarim Craton were derived dominately from partial melting of Paleoarchean to Mesoarchean juvenile crustal material. 6Single-atom catalyst: a rising star for green synthesis of fine chemicals显示文摘The green synthesis of fine chemicals calls for a new generation of efficient and robust catalysts. Single-atom catalysts(SACs), in which all metal species are atomically dispersed on a solid support, and which often consist of well-defined mononuclear active sites, are expected to bridge homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts for liquid-phase organic transformations. This review summarizes major advances in the SAC-catalysed green synthesis of fine chemicals in the past several years, with a focus on the catalytic activity, selectivity and reusability of SACs in various organic reactions. 7Effect of Jiaweiwumei decoction on regulatory T cells and interleukin-10 in a rat model of ulcerative colitis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of a decoction made from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Wumei pill,on regulatory T cells and interleukin-10(IL-10) in a rat model of ulcerative colitis induced by2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(TNBS).METHODS:Rat ulcerative colitis was induced with TNBS.All modeled rats were randomly divided into six groups:normal control group;model group;sulfasalazine suppositories treatment group;and high,moderate,and low dosage of Jiaweiwumei decoction groups(12 rats each).Colon injury index was evaluated after 14 days.After peripheral blood lymphocyte separation,CD4 + T cells and CD4+/CD25+ T cell percentage was detected by flow cytometry.The content of IL-10 in serum and intestinal mucosa tissue was detected by sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.RESULTS:Colon injury indices in the decoction groups were effectively reduced,compared with the model group(P < 0.05).Compared with that of the control group,the CD4+/CD25+ to CD4+ T lymphocyte ratio of the model group was significantly lower,while the decoction treatment improved the CD4 +/CD25 + to CD4 + T lymphocyte ratio(P <0.05).The serum and mucosal IL-10 content of the model group was significantly lower(P < 0.05) than that in the control group,while the decoction group had significantly higher serum and intestinal mucosal IL-10 content than that in the model group(P < 0.05).The regulatory T cell content was negatively correlated with the colonic injury index(r = 0.68,P < 0.05),and positively correlated with the content of serum IL-10(r = 0.87,P < 0.05) and intestinal mucosal IL-10(r= 0.79,P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:Jiaweiwumei decoction had significant effects on regulatory T cells and IL-10 in rats with TNBS-induced ulcerative colitis.Tao Mei Wang Xuyan Wang Aiqin Gao Ninghan Pan Jie Liu Xiaoquan Wang Xiaoye 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,3:14
8Removal of Methyl Violet from aqueous solutions using poly (acrylic acid-co-acrylamide)/attapulgite composite显示文摘The adsorption of Methyl Violet (MV) cationic dye from aqueous solution was carried out by using crosslinked poly (acrylic acid-co-acrylamide)/attapulgite (Poly(AA-co-AM)/ATP) composite as adsorbent. The factors influencing adsorption capacity of the composite such as pH, concentration of the dye, temperature, contact time, adsorbent dosage, ionic strength and surfactant were systematically investigated. The equilibrium data fitted very well to the Langmuir isotherm and the maximum adsorption capacity reached 1194 mg/g at 30°C. The thermodynamic parameters including G0, △H0 and △S 0 for the adsorption processes of MV on the composite were also calculated, and the negative △H0 and △G0 confirmed that the adsorption process was exothermic and spontaneous. 9Zircon U-Pb age of granitic gneiss on Duku highway in western Tianshan of China and its geological implications显示文摘Granitle gneiss on Duku highway in western Tianshan has been dated by the U-Pb zircon method. When plotted on the concordia diagram, the results give linear data array and the upper intercept age of (882±3)Ma, and the age was considered as the crystallization age of the protolith. Granitic gneiss has high ASI value (1.09), high LILE and LREE contents, significantly negative Eu depletion, distinctly negative Ba, Sr, P, Ti and Nb anomalies and indicate continental crust parentage, which is consistent with high initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios value (0.7170) and very negative εNd(t)=-14.1. 11Research and application of kapok fiber as an absorbing material: A mini review显示文摘Kapok fiber corresponds to the seed hairs of the kapok tree(Ceiba pentandra), and is a typical cellulosic fiber with the features of thin cell wall, large lumen, low density and hydrophobic–oleophilic properties. As a type of renewable natural plant fiber, kapok fiber is abundant,biocompatible and biodegradable, and its full exploration and potential application have received increasing attention in both academic and industrial fields. 12Investigation of acetylated kapok fibers on the sorption of oil in water显示文摘Kapok fibers have been acetylated for oil spill cleanup in the aqueous environment. The structures of raw and acetylated kapok fiber were characterized using Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Without severe damage to the lumen structures, the kapok fibers were successfully acetylated and the resulting fibers exhibited a better oil sorption capacity than raw fibers for diesel and soybean oil. Compared with high viscosity soybean oil, low viscosity diesel shows a better affinity to the surface of acetylated fibers. Sorption kinetics is fitted well by the pseudo second-order model, and the equilibrium data can be described by the Freundlich isotherm model. 13Ammonium sulfide-assisted hydrothermal activation of palygorskite for enhanced adsorption of methyl violet显示文摘Herein,palygorskite(PAL)was activated via a simple hydrothermal process in the presence of ammonium sulfide,and the effects of activation on the microstructure,physico-chemical feature and adsorption behaviors of PAL were intensively investigated.The hydrothermal process evidently improved the dispersion of PAL crystal bundles,increased surface negative charges and built more active –Si–O-groups served as the new'adsorption sites'.The adsorption property of the activated PAL for Methyl Violet(MV)was systematically investigated by optimizing the adsorption variables,including p H,ionic strength,contact time and initial MV concentration.The activated PAL exhibited a superior adsorption capability to the raw PAL for the removal of MV(from 156.05 to 218.11 mg/g).The kinetics for MV adsorption followed pseudo second-order kinetic models,while the isotherm and thermodynamics results showed that the adsorption pattern well followed the Langmuir model.The structure analysis of PAL before and after adsorption demonstrated that electrostatic interaction and chemical association of –X–O-are the prominent driving forces for the adsorption process.Guangyan Tian Wenbo Wang Yuru Kang Aiqin Wang 2016Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,3:6
14Chemoselective hydrogenolysis of tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol to 1,5-pentanediol over Ir-MoO_x/SiO_2 catalyst显示文摘In this work, MoOx promoted Ir/SiO2 catalysts were prepared and used for the selective hydrogenolysis of tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol(THFA)to 1,5-pentanediol in a continuous flow reactor. The effects of different noble metals(Ir, Pt, Pd, Ru, Rh), supports and Ir contents were screened.Among the investigated catalysts, 4 wt%Ir-MoOx/SiO2 with a Mo/Ir atomic ratio of 0.13 exhibited the best catalytic performance. The synergy between Ir particles and the partially reduced isolated MoOx species attached on them is essential for the excellent catalytic performance of Ir-MoOx/SiO2. The catalyst exhibited a better hydrogenolysis efficiency of THFA with the selectivity of 1,5-pentanediol of 65%–74% at a conversion of THFA of 70%–75% when the initial THFA concentration is ranging from 20 wt% and 40 wt%. And higher system pressure was also in favor of the conversion of THFA. 16From waste hot-pot oil as carbon precursor to development of recyclable attapulgite/carbon composites for wastewater treatment显示文摘The utilization of waste products as valuable materials was a technical imperative for waste management. In this study, the cost-effective attapulgite/carbon(APT/C) composite was developed for wastewater treatment using waste hot-pot oil as a carbon precursor through a facile one-step calcination process. The APT/C composite prepared at 300°C exhibited the excellent adsorption capacity and rapid equilibrium rate over a broad p H range for the removal of various pollutants. 17Influence of Different Al Contents on Microstructure, Tensile and Wear Properties of Zn-based Alloy显示文摘The influence of different Al contents on the microstructure, hardness, tensile and wear behavior of Zn-based alloys was investigated in the present study. The test results show that alloy with 27% Al content shows the higher ultimate strength and elongation percent at room and elevated temperatures. It also exhibits the higher wear resistance at all loads in view of the higher tightness of Zn-27Al alloy. Increasing Al content from 33% to 48% results in improvement of ultimate strength and elongation percent at room and elevated temperatures. However, the ultimate strength and elongation percent of the ZA48 alloy are still lower than that of Zn-27Al alloys. 18High-power hybrid GaN-based green laser diodes with ITO cladding layer显示文摘Green laser diodes(LDs)still perform worst among the visible and near-infrared spectrum range,which is called the'green gap.'Poor performance of green LDs is mainly related to the p-type Al Ga N cladding layer,which on one hand imposes large thermal budget on In Ga N quantum wells(QWs)during epitaxial growth,and on the other hand has poor electrical property especially when low growth temperature has to be used.We demonstrate in this work that a hybrid LD structure with an indium tin oxide(ITO)p-cladding layer can achieve threshold current density as low as 1.6 k A∕cm^2,which is only one third of that of the conventional LD structure.The improvement is attributed to two benefits that are enabled by the ITO cladding layer.One is the reduced thermal budget imposed on QWs by reducing p-Al Ga N layer thickness,and the other is the increasing hole concentration since a low Al content p-Al Ga N cladding layer can be used in hybrid LD structures.Moreover,the slope efficiency is increased by 25%and the operation voltage is reduced by 0.6 V for hybrid green LDs.As a result,a 400 m W high-power green LD has been obtained.These results indicate that a hybrid LD structure can pave the way toward high-performance green LDs.LEI HU XIAOYU REN JIANPING LIU AIQIN TIAN LINGRONG JIANG SIYI HUANG WEI ZHOU LIQUN ZHANG HUI YANG 2020Photonics Research2020,8,3:4
19Inhibiting effect of tungstic compounds on glucose hydrogenation over Ru/C catalyst显示文摘The effect of acid component including various conventional acids and tungstic compounds on glucose hydrogenation over a series of binary catalyst system containing Ru/C catalyst was investigated. The results showed that HCl, H2SO4, H3BO3, H3PO4, and HNO3 had negligible effect, while all the tungstic compounds imposed inhibiting effects on the hydrogenation of glucose over Ru/C catalyst, and the suppressing effect followed the order of H2WO4>HPW>WO3>AMT>HSi W. 20Whole exome sequencing identifies an AMBN missense mutation causing severe autosomal-dominant amelogenesis imperfecta and dentin disorders显示文摘Tooth development is a complex process that involves precise and time-dependent orchestration of multiple genetic, molecular,and cellular interactions. Ameloblastin(AMBN, also named 'amelin' or 'sheathlin') is the second most abundant enamel matrix protein known to have a key role in amelogenesis. Amelogenesis imperfecta(AI [MIM: 104500]) refers to a genetically and phenotypically heterogeneous group of conditions characterized by inherited developmental enamel defects. The hereditary dentin disorders comprise a variety of autosomal-dominant genetic symptoms characterized by abnormal dentin structure affecting either the primary or both the primary and secondary teeth. The vital role of Ambn in amelogenesis has been confirmed experimentally using mouse models. Only two cases have been reported of mutations of AMBN associated with non-syndromic human AI. However, no AMBN missense mutations have been reported to be associated with both human AI and dentin disorders.We recruited one kindred with autosomal-dominant amelogenesis imperfecta(ADAI) and dentinogenesis imperfecta/dysplasia characterized by generalized severe enamel and dentin defects. Whole exome sequencing of the proband identified a novel heterozygous C-T point mutation at nucleotide position 1069 of the AMBN gene, causing a Pro to Ser mutation at the conserved amino acid position 357 of the protein. Exfoliated third molar teeth from the affected family members were found to have enamel and dentin of lower mineral density than control teeth, with thinner and easily fractured enamel, short and thick roots, and pulp obliteration.
