1A method for canopy water content estimation for highly vegetated surfaces-shortwave infrared perpendicular water stress index显示文摘In this paper, a new method for canopy water content (FMC) estimation for highly vegetated surfaces- shortwave infrared perpendicular water stress index (SPSI) is developed using NIR, SWIR wavelengths of Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) on the basis of spectral features and distribution of surface targets with different water conditions in NIR-SWIR spectral space. The developed method is further explored with radiative transfer simulations using PROSPECT, Lillesaeter, SailH and 6S. It is evident from the results of validation derived from satellite synchronous field measurements that SPSI is highly correlated with FMC, coefficient of determination (R squared) and root mean square error are 0.79 and 26.41%. 2Biofeedback-guided pelvic floor exercise therapy for obstructive defecation: An effective alternative显示文摘AIM: To compare biofeedback-guided pelvic floor exercise therapy(BFT) with the use of oral polyethylene glycol(PEG) for the treatment of obstructive defecation.METHODS: A total of 88 subjects were assigned to treatment with either BFT(n = 44) or oral PEG(n = 44). Constipation symptoms(including difficult evacuation, hard stool, digitation necessity, incomplete emptying sensation, laxative dependence, perianal pain at defecation, and constipation satisfaction), Wexner Scores, and quality of life scores were assessed after 1, 3, and 6 mo.RESULTS: At the 6 mo follow-up, the symptoms of the BFT group patients showed significantly greater improvements compared with the PEG group regarding difficult evacuation, hard stools, digitation necessity, laxative dependence, perianal pain at defecation, constipation satisfaction, Wexner Constipation Score, and quality of life score(P < 0.05). The quality of life score of the BFT group at the final follow-up time(6 mo) was 80 ± 2.2. 4Characterizing urban expansion of Korla City and its spatial-temporal patterns using remote sensing and GIS methods显示文摘Cities provide spatial contexts for populations and economic activities. Determining the spatial-temporal patterns of urban expansion is of particular significance for regional sustainable development. To achieve a better understanding of the spatial-temporal patterns of urban expansion of Korla City, we explore the urban expansion characteristics of Korla City over the period 1995–2015 by employing Landsat TM/ETM+ images of 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, and 2015. Urban land use types were classified using the supervised classification method in ENVI 4.5. Urban expansion indices, such as expansion area, expansion proportion, expansion speed, expansion intensity, compactness, and fractal dimension, were calculated. The spatial-temporal patterns and evolution process of the urban expansion(e.g., urban gravity center and its direction of movement) were then quantitatively analyzed. The results indicated that, over the past 25 years, the area and proportion of urban land increased substantially with an average annual growth rate of 15.18%. Farmland and unused land were lost greatly due to the urban expansion. This result might be attributable to the rapid population growth and the dramatic economic development in this area. The city extended to the southeast, and the urban gravity center shifted to the southeast as well by about 2118 m. The degree of urban compactness tended to decrease and the fractal dimension index tended to increase, indicating that the spatial pattern of Korla City was becoming loose, complex, and unstable. 6Analysis of Land Use Change and Driving Force of Bole City Based on Remote Sensing Image显示文摘[Objectives] The land use change and its influence has been the frontier and hotspot in the research of the surface process of change. The aim of this study was to provide a reasonable scientific basis for the more reasonable use of regional land resources of Bole City by study of land use change and driving force of Bole City. [Methods] Through geometric correction,image mosaic and image registration processing and classification of the remote sensing images of Bole City in 2006,2011 and 2016,the three images of land use change in land use types( land use change range,dynamic degree and variation degree) were studied,and the natural and social economy in terms of the driving forces of land use change were analyzed. [Results]In the 2006 to 2016 period,cultivated land of Bole City had the land use dynamic growth state,and the average growth rate was 0. 26%; and forest land,construction land,water,grassland and unused land showed a decreasing trend,decreased by 0. 23%,0. 22%,0. 75%,3. 85% and 1. 52%,respectively. In the entire study period,the change of grassland was the biggest,the changes of unused land and water were the second,and the changes of cultivated land,construction land and forest land were lesser. 14Application of custom anatomy-based nerve conduits on rabbit sciatic nerve defects: in vitro and in vivo evaluations显示文摘The intermingling of regenerated nerve fibers inside nerve grafts is the main reason for mismatched nerve fibers. This is one of the key factors affecting limb function recovery after nerve injury. Previous research has shown that the accuracy of axon regeneration can be improved by a bionic structural implant. To this aim, iodine and freeze-drying high-resolution micro-computed tomography was performed to visualize the 3D topography of the New Zealand rabbit sciatic nerve (25 mm). A series of 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-custom anatomy-based nerve conduits (CANCs) were fabricated based on the anatomical structure of the nerve fascicle. The match index, luminal surface, and mechanical properties of CANCs were evaluated before implanting in a 10-mm gap of the sciatic nerve. Recovery was evaluated by histomorphometric analyses, electrophysiological study, gastrocnemius muscle weight recovery ratio, and behavioral assessments at 12 and 24 weeks postoperatively. The accuracy of nerve regeneration was determined by changes in fluorescence-labeled profile number during simultaneous retrograde tracing. Our results showed that the optimal preprocessing condition for high-resolution micro-computed tomography visualization was treatment of the sciatic nerve with 40% Lugol’s solution for 3 days followed by lyophilization for 2 days. In vitro experiments demonstrated that the match index was highest in the 3-CANC group, followed by the 2-, 1-, and 4-CANC groups. The luminal surface was lowest in the 1-CANC group. Mechanical properties (transverse compressive and bending properties) were higher in the 3- and 4-CANC groups than in the 1-CANC group. In vivo experiments demonstrated that the recovery (morphology of regenerated fibers, compound muscle action potential, gastrocnemius muscle weight recovery ratio, pain-related autotomy behaviors, and range of motion) in the 3-CANC group was superior to the other CANC groups, and achieved the same therapeutic effect as the autograft. The simultaneous retrograde tracing results showed that the percentages of double-labeled profiles of the 2-, 3-, and 4-CANC groups were comparatively lower than that of the 1-CANC group, which indicates that regenerated nerve fascicles were less intermingled in the 2-, 3-, and 4-CANC groups. These findings demonstrate that the visualization of the rabbit sciatic nerve can be achieved by iodine and freeze-drying high-resolution micro-computed tomography, and that this method can be used to design CANCs with different channels that are based on the anatomical structure of the nerve. Compared with the 1-CANC, 3-CANC had a higher match index and luminal surface, and improved the accuracy of nerve regeneration by limiting the intermingling of the regenerated fascicles. 16Multifunctional properties of a polar spin chain compound[N(C_(3)H_(7))_(4)][Cu(C_(8)H_(4)NO_(4))]·H_(2)O exhibiting both one-dimensional magnetism and nonlinear optical activity显示文摘Functional materials with multiple properties are urgent to be explored to reach high requirements for applications nowadays.In this work,a new multifunctional one-dimensional(1D)chain compound[N(C_(3)H_(7))_(4)][Cu(ohpma)]·H_(2)O 1(ohpma=deprotonated N-(2-hydoxyphenyl)oxamic acid)exhibiting both 1D antiferromagnetic and nonlinear optical properties,which are both originated from the same polar[Cu(C_(8)H_(4)NO_(4))]magnetic units,has been successfully synthesized by evaporation at room temperature.Bis-polydentate nature of the(ohpma)3−ligand with constrained tridentate and bidentate coordination sites conducts Cu^(2+)ions coordinating in different geometries and forms 1D chains along the c axis,which are further separated by the[N(C_(3)H_(7))_(4)]+cations.And the 1D magnetic chains further exhibit noncentrosymmetric polar arrangement.Nonlinear optical study shows polar compound 1 exhibits a discernible second-harmonic generation(SHG)efficiency and the calculation of the partial density of states indicates that the SHG efficiency of 1 is mainly originated from the polar[Cu(C_(8)H_(4)NO_(4))]magnetic units.Moreover,magnetic susceptibility shows a broad maximum around 70 K with strong intrachain interaction of J/k B=−113.0 K but no long-range order is observed down to 2 K,suggesting that 1 shows a good 1D magnetism.Both good 1D magnetism and SHG activity suggest that 1 could be as a potential multifunctional material,particularly.Ang Li Yanhong Wang Haotian Tian Alimujiang Yalikun Yves Journaux Min Luo Hongcheng Lu 2024Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,2:0

18Predicted secreted protein analysis reveals synaptogenic function of Clstn3 during WAT browning and BAT activation in mice显示文摘Promoting white adipose tissue (WAT) browning and enhancing brown adipose tissue (BAT) activity are attractive therapeutic strategies for obesity and its metabolic complications. Targeting sympathetic innervation in WAT and BAT represents a promising therapeutic concept. However, there are few reports on extracellular microenvironment remodeling, especially changes in nerve terminal connections. Identifying the key molecules mediating the neuro-adipose synaptic junctions is a key point. In this study, we used bioinformatics methods to identify the differentially expressed predicted secreted genes (DEPSGs) during WAT browning and BAT activation. These DEPSGs largely re?ect changes of cytokines, extracellular matrix remodeling, vascularization, and adipocyte-neuronal cross-talk. We then performed functional enrichment and cellular distribution speci?city analyses. The upregulated and downregulated DEPDGs during WAT browning displayed a distinctive biological pattern and cellular distribution. We listed a cluster of adipocyte-enriched DEPSGs, which might participate in the cross-talk between mature adipocytes and other cells;then identi?ed a synaptogenic adhesion molecule, Clstn3, as the top gene expressed enriched in both mature white and brown adipocytes. Using Q-PCR and immunohistochemistry, we found signi?cantly increased Clstn3 expression level during WAT browning and BAT activation in mice subjected to cold exposure (4 °C). We further demonstrated that treatment with isoproterenol signi?cantly increased Clstn3 and UCP1 expression in differentiated white and beige adipocytes in vitro. In conclusion, our study demonstrates that the secretion pattern was somewhat different between WAT browning and BAT activation. 19Meta-analysis of efficacy and safety of concurrent or staged bilateral total knee arthroplasty显示文摘Objective: To study the safety and efficacy of concurrent bilateral total knee arthroplasty orstaged bilateral total knee replacement using meta-analysis. Methods: The databases of ChinaWanfang, CNKI, PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science were searched conducted formeta-analysis of the extracted data using Review Manager 5.3 software. Results: ①A total of 18retrospective cohort studies were included, 72 831 patients in the same period group and 103595 patients in the staging group. ②The results of meta showed that in the staging group, theincidence of postoperative cardiac complications[OR= 1.21, 95%CI=(1.10~1.34), P<0.000 1] ,neurological complications[OR=1.67, 95%CI=(1.29~2.16), P<0.000 1], deep vein thrombosis[OR=1.38, 95%CI(1.27~1.50), P<0.000 01], mortality[OR=2.18, 95%CI=(1.67~2.84),P<0.000 01] and perioperative blood loss [OR=246.75, 95%CI=(233.30~260.20)] were lessthan those in the same period group (P<0.000 01);The postoperative deep infection rate in thesame period group [OR=0.61, 95%CI=(0.52~0.71), P<0.000 01] was lower than that in thestaging group;The postoperative superficial infection rate [OR=0.96, 95%CI=(0.66~1.40)],revision rate of joint replacement [OR= 1.04, 95%CI=( 0.96~1.12)], HSS score [OR=0.10,95%CI=(-0.61~0.80), P=0.79] and knee joint activity score [OR=-0.23, 95%CI=(-1.25~0.78)]were not statistically significant between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion: Stagingbilateral total knee replacement can more effectively reduce the incidence of perioperativecomplications and reduce the amount of blood transfusion, while concurrent bilateral total kneereplacement can reduce the rate of deep infection.
