| 1 | Effect of Crosslink Structure of Bridge Polycarboxylate Superplasticizers on Dispersion Ability显示文摘Bridge polycarboxylate superplasticizers(PCs) with crosslink structure were synthesized by using polyethyleneglycol di-acrylate(PEGdA), replacing partial polyethyleneglycol mono-acrylate (PEGmA) as crosslinking agent. Structures of bridge PCs were analyzed by gel permeation chromatography, and dispersion ability was evaluated by cement paste dispersity variation on time and rheology test. The experimental results showed that, molecular weight(MW) of bridge PCs increased with increase of PEGdA proportion, and MW distribution curve changed from Gaussian to flat like, which meant notable increase of highly crosslinked copolymer. Bridge PCs led to decreased initial cement paste dispersity and better dispersity retention due to slow releasing. | 10 | Correlation between the tilt anomaly on the vertical pendulum at the Songpan station and the 2021 MS7.4 Maduo earthquake in Qinghai province,China显示文摘Understanding the relationship between precursory deformation anomalies and strong earthquakes is vital for physical earthquake prediction. Six months before the 2021 MS7.4 Maduo earthquake in Qinghai province, China, the vertical pendulum at the Songpan station was observed to tilt southward with a high rate and large amplitude. Studies conducted before the 2021 MS7.4 Maduo earthquake inferred the tilt anomaly to be an earthquake precursor. However, after the earthquake, the relation between the earthquake and the anomaly became controversial, partly because the Songpan station is located at a great distance from the epicenter. In this study, based on the deformation anomaly characteristics, relationship between the seismogenic fault and the fault near the anomaly, and associated quantitative analyses, we concluded that this anomaly may be associated with the 2021 MS7.4 Maduo earthquake. The duration and amplitude of this anomaly matched with the magnitude and epicenter distance of the Maduo earthquake. | 14 | Calculation of Ground Vertical Displacements,Tilts and Their Distribution Characteristics around an Irregular Load显示文摘Based on the load model of a uniform isotropic semi-infinite elastic medium,we deduced a calculation of vertical displacement and tilt and proposed a method of calculation of vertical displacements and tilts caused by irregular load on the ground or underground at a certain point with two-dimensional and three-dimensional shapes. We compared the difference between the simplified model and the irregular model. Finally,the vertical displacements near the irregular load and the distribution of horizontal tilt are presented.The results show that,compared with the point simplified model,the irregular load model has certain advantages for describing the near field. The establishment of a twodimensional irregular load model can help with the calculation of the modal vector superposition after load scattering. The three-dimensional irregular load model can redistribute load through different weights given to the scattered points after the load scattering,and then obtain displacement with the vector calculation method. | 16 | Slip Rates of the Major Faults on the Mid-southern Section of the North-South Seismic Belt Calculated from the Block Theory显示文摘In this paper,using the 1999 ~ 2007 GPS velocity field data,and by choosing the optimal block model,we obtained the deformation models applicable to the boundary zones of major blocks and the slip rates of block boundary faults on the mid-southern segment of the North-South Seismic Belt. The results show that: on the Longmenshan fault zone,the tensional and compressive slip rate is small on the Baoxing-Wenchuan segment,about 0. 5 ~ 1. 8mm·a- 1, and the rate is relatively significant on the segment of the Wenchuan-Maoxian,as 1. 8 ~ 3. 8mm·a- 1; on the Xianshuihe fault belt,there is a certain difference in spatial distribution between the tensional slip rate and strike-slip rate: the tensional slip rate( 8. 1mm·a- 1) is bigger than the sinistral strike-slip rate( 4. 8mm·a- 1) at the north of the Luhuo region; the tension and compression slip rate is basically the same as the strike-slip rate at Luhuo-Dawu; the Dawu-Kangding section presents a trend of decreased strike-slip rate and increased tensional slip rate; the Kangding-Shimian segment shows a strike-slip nature; the strike-slip rate is significantly greater than the tension /compression rate on the Xiaojiang fault zone; the slip rate on the Red River fault zone shows obvious spatial segmentation,the slip rate is smaller in its northwest part,but with a certain amount of tensional /compression component,4. 7mm·a- 1on the Jingdong segment. | 18 | Effects of substrate on burrowing behavior,feeding physiology,and energy budget of undulated surf clam Paphia undulata显示文摘Substrate is an important abiotic factor for burrowing shellfish,as it not only provides them with shelter,but also impose significant effect on their physiological metabolism.However,the physiological responses of burrowing clams within various substrates get less attention due to difficulty in carrying out physiological tests in buried conditions.Consequently,this study investigated the burrowing behavior,feeding physiology and energy budget of Paphia undulata,which is an important aquaculture bivalve species in south China.The clams were exposed to mud and sand substrates with variable physical properties in the laboratory,to determine the suitable substrate conditions for this species.The results showed that the percentage of burrowing clams,digging index,burrowing time,burrowing depth and scope for growth(SFG)were higher in mud substrates with≥40%water content.Likewise,burrowing percentage,digging index,and burrowing depths were higher in substrates with≤40%sand content.Moreover,the burrowing depth had significant effect on the feeding physiology and SFG of P.undulata as clams burrowed at 6.3±1.8 cm had higher clearance rates and SFG as compared to other buried depths.This study further revealed that low water content in the sediment inhibited physiological performances of P.undulata by impairing feeding or absorption,hence reducing the SFG.In conclusion,mud substrate with≥40%water content or with≤40%sand content is suitable for proper burrowing and growth of P.undulata.Our findings therefore provide fundamental knowledge that will be applicable in the improvement of bottom aquaculture and conservation of P.undulata. | Pengfei ZHANG Edwine YONGO Fei LIU Shuai PAN Anfu SUN Long ZHOU Zhiqiang GUO Caihuan KE | 2023 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,5: | 0 |
| 19 | Inheritance of marsh spot disease resistance in cranberry common bean(Phaseolus vulgaris L.)显示文摘Common bean(Phaseolus vulgaris) is an annual legume crop that is grown worldwide for its edible dry seeds and tender pods. Marsh spot(MS) of the seeds is a physio-genic stress disease affecting seed quality in beans. Studies have suggested that this disease involves a nutritional disorder caused by manganese deficiency, but the inheritance of resistance to this disease has not been reported. A biparental genetic population composed of 138 recombinant inbred lines(RILs) was developed from a cross between an MS resistant cultivar ‘Cran09’ and an MS susceptible cultivar ‘Messina’. The 138 RILs and their two parents were evaluated for MS resistance during five consecutive years from 2015 to 2019 in sandy and heavy clay soils in Morden, Manitoba, Canada. The MS incidence(MSI) and the MS resistance index(MSRI) representing disease severity were shown to be both highly correlated heritable traits that had high broad-sense heritability values(H;) of 86.5% and 83.2%, respectively. No significant differences for MSI and MSRI were observed between the two soil types in all five-(MSI) or four-year(MSRI) data collection, but significant correlations among years were observed despite MS resistance was moderately affected by year. The MSIs and MSRIs displayed a right-skewed distribution, indicating a mixed genetic model involving a few major genes and polygenes. Using the joint segregation analysis method, the same four major genes with additive-epistasis effects showed the best fit for both traits, explaining 84.4% and85.3% of the phenotypic variance for MSI and MSRI, respectively. For both traits, the M1, M2, M3 and m4 acted as the favorable(resistant) alleles for the four genes where M and m represent two alleles of each gene. However, due to epistatic effects, only the individuals of the M1 M2 M3 M4 haplotype appeared to be highly resistant, whereas those of the m1 m2 m3 M4 haplotype were the most susceptible. The m4 allele significantly suppressed the additive effects of M1 M2 M3 on resistance, but decreased susceptibility due to the additive effects of m1 m2 m3. | 20 | A STUDY ON RELATION BETWEEN CONTINUOUS RAPID DEFORMATION AND EARTHQUAKLES显示文摘Continuous Rapid Deformation (CRD) may be an important precursor before some strong earthquakes with magnitude greater than \%M\%s5.0. This paper shows some characteristics of CRD, and proposes a method for identifying precursory CRD that is closely related to the process of earthquake preparation. From the deformation data in Yunnan Sichan provinces, we obtained the tilt and strain thresholds of 4.5ms/d and 5 ×10 -7 /d, respectively. Compared the tilt CRD in this region before 9 earthquakes (short term fore shocks and after shocks not included) with magnitude greater than 5.8 in the period from January of 1990 to May of 2001, we found that 8 earthquakes occurred within 5 months after the CRD with a duration of more than 20 days and a tilt velocity of more than 4.5ms/d without false prediction, but with one failure in earthquake prediction. For the strain CRD, 5 earthquakes occurred after the CRD; there was no false prediction, but 4 earthquakes unpredicted.
