Synthesis, Characterization of Phosphorus Containing Diamide-diimide-tetraamines Based on L-Tryptophan Amino Acid and Their Effect on Flame Retardancy of Epoxy Resins显示文摘The curing behavior of diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A(DGEBA) with different phosphorus containing diamidediimide-tetraamines(DADITAs) was studied by DSC. Eight DADITAs of varying structures were synthesized by reacting 1 mole of pyromellitic anhydride(PMDA)/3,3′-benzophenone tetracarboxylic dianhydride(BTDA)/1,4,5,8-naphthalene tetracarboxylic dianhydride(NTDA)/4,4′-oxydiphthalic anhydride(ODPA) with 2 mole of L-tryptophan(T) in a mixture of acetic acid and pyridine(3:2 V/V) followed by activaton with thionyl chloride and then condensation with excess of phosphorus containing triamines tris(3-aminophenyl) phosphine(TAP) and tris(3-aminophenyl) phosphine oxide(TAPO). DADITAs obtained by reacting PMDA/BTDA/NTDA/ODPA with L-tryptophan followed by condensation with TAP/TAPO were designated as PTAP, PTAPO, BTAP, BTAPO, NTAP, NTAPO, OTAP and OTAPO respectively. The structural characterization of synthesized DADITAs was done by FTIR,1H-NMR,13C-NMR,31P-NMR spectroscopic techniques and elemental analysis. Thermal stability of the isothermally cured epoxy was investigated using dynamic thermogravimetry analysis. The glass transition temperature(Tg) was highest in DGEBA cured using PTAP. All epoxy thermosets exhibited excellent flame retardancy, moderate changes in Tg and thermal stability. Due to presence of phosphorus in curing agents, all epoxy resin systems met the UL-94 V-0 classification and the limiting oxygen index(LOI) reached up to 38.5, probably because of the nitrogen-phosphorus synergistic effect.Seema Agrawal Anudeep Kumar Narula 2014Chinese Journal of Polymer Science2014,32,2:1

The role of extracellular vesicles in acquisition of resistance to therapy in glioblastomas显示文摘Glioblastoma(GBM)is the most aggressive primary brain tumor with a median survival of 15 months despite standard care therapy consisting of maximal surgical debulking, followed by radiation therapy with concurrent and adjuvant temozolomide treatment. The natural history of GBM is characterized by inevitable recurrence with patients dying from increasingly resistant tumor regrowth after therapy.Several mechanisms including inter-and intratumoral heterogeneity, the evolution of therapy-resistant clonal subpopulations, reacquisition of stemness in glioblastoma stem cells, multiple drug efflux mechanisms, the tumor-promoting microenvironment, metabolic adaptations, and enhanced repair of drug-induced DNA damage have been implicated in therapy failure.Extracellular vesicles(EVs)have emerged as crucial mediators in the maintenance and establishment of GBM.Multiple seminal studies have uncovered the multi-dynamic role of EVs in the acquisition of drug resistance.Mechanisms include EV-mediated cargo transfer and EVs functioning as drug efflux channels and decoys for antibody-based therapies. In this review,we discuss the various mechanisms of therapy resistance in GBM,highlighting the emerging role of EV-orchestrated drug resistance.Understanding the landscape of GBM resistance is critical in devising novel therapeutic approaches to fight this deadly disease.Anudeep Yekula Abigail Taylor Alexandra Beecroft Keiko M.Kang Julia L.Small Koushik Muralidharan Zachary Rosh Bob S.Carter Leonora Balaj 2021Cancer Drug Resistance2021,4,1:0
Differential Power Based Selective Phase Tripping for Fault-resilient Microgrid显示文摘Modern fault-resilient microgrids(MGs)require the operation of healthy phases during unbalanced short-circuits to improve the system reliability. This study proposes a differential power based selective phase tripping scheme for MGs consisting of synchronous and inverter-interfaced distributed generators(DGs).First, the differential power is computed using the line-end superimposed voltage and current signals.Subsequently,to make the scheme threshold-free,a power coefficient index is derived and used for identifying faulted phases in an MG.The protection scheme is tested on a standard MG operating in either grid-connected or islanding mode, which is simulated using PSCAD/EMTDC.The efficacy of the scheme is also assessed on the OPAL-RT manufactured real-time digital simulation(RTDS)platform.Further, the performance of the proposed protection scheme is compared with a few existing methods. The results show that the selective tripping of faulted phases in MGs can be achieved quickly and securely using the proposed scheme.Bhatraj Anudeep Paresh Kumar Nayak 2022Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2022,10,2:0
Bidirectional link between diabetes mellitus and coronavirus disease 2019 leading to cardiovascular disease:A narrative review显示文摘Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)is a global pandemic where several comorbidities have been shown to have a significant effect on mortality.Patients with diabetes mellitus(DM)have a higher mortality rate than non-DM patients if they get COVID-19.Recent studies have indicated that patients with a history of diabetes can increase the risk of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection.Additionally, patients without any history of diabetes can acquire newonset DM when infected with COVID-19.Thus,there is a need to explore the bidirectional link between these two conditions, confirming the vicious loop between“DM/COVID-19”.This narrative review presents(1)the bidirectional association between the DM and COVID-19,(2)the manifestations of the DM/COVID-19 loop leading to cardiovascular disease,(3)an understanding of primary and secondary factors that influence mortality due to the DM/COVID-19 loop,(4)the role of vitamin-D in DM patients during COVID-19,and finally,(5)the monitoring tools for tracking atherosclerosis burden in DM patients during COVID-19 and“COVID-triggered DM”patients. We conclude that the bidirectional nature of DM/COVID-19 causes acceleration towards cardiovascular events.Due to this alarming condition, early monitoring of atherosclerotic burden is required in“Diabetes patients during COVID-19”or“new-onset Diabetes triggered by COVID-19 in Non-Diabetes patients”.Vijay Viswanathan Anudeep Puvvula Ankush D Jamthikar Luca Saba Amer M Johri Vasilios Kotsis Narendra N Khanna Surinder K Dhanjil Misha Majhail Durga Prasanna Misra Vikas Agarwal George D Kitas Aditya M Sharma Raghu Kolluri Subbaram Naidu Jasjit S Suri 2021World Journal of Diabetes2021,12,3:0
Optimized Image Multiplication with Approximate Counter Based Compressor显示文摘The processor is greatly hampered by the large dataset of picture or multimedia data. The logic of approximation hardware is moving in the direction of multimedia processing with a given amount of acceptable mistake. This study proposes various higher-order approximate counter-based compressor(CBC)using input shuffled 6:3 CBC.In the Wallace multiplier using a CBC is a significant factor in partial product reduction. So the design of 10-4,11-4,12-4,13-4 and 14-4 CBC are proposed in this paper using an input shuffled 6:3 compressor to attain two stage multiplications. The input shuffling aims to reduce the output combination of the 6:3 compressor from 64 to 27.Design of 15-4,10-4,9-4,and 7-3 CBCs are performed using the proposed 6:3 compressor and the results obtained are compared with the existing models. These existing models are constructed using multiplexers and 5-3 CBC.When compared to input shuffled 5-3 the proposed 6:3 compressor shows better results in terms of area, power and delay. An approximation is performed on the 6:3 compressor to further reduce the computational energy of the system which is optimal for multimedia applications. The major contribution of this work is the development of two stage multiplier using various proposed CBC.All designs of the approximate compressor(AC)and true compressor(TC)are analysed with 8 ×8 and 16 × 16 imagemultiplication. The proposed multipliers also provide adequate levels of accuracy, according to the MATLAB simulations,in addition to greater hardware efficiency. As the result approximate circuits over image processing shows the stunning performance in many deep learning network in the current research which is only oriented to multimedia.M.Maria Dominic Savio T.Deepa1,N.Bharathiraja Anudeep Bonasu 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,8:0
Fuzzy Based Adaptive Deblocking Filters at Low-Bitrate HEVC Videos for Communication Networks显示文摘In-loop filtering significantly helps detect and remove blocking artifacts across block boundaries in low bitrate coded High Efficiency Video Coding(HEVC)frames and improves its subjective visual quality in multimedia services over communication networks. However,on faster processing of the complex videos at a low bitrate, some visible artifacts considerably degrade the picture quality. In this paper,we proposed a four-step fuzzy based adaptive deblocking filter selection technique. The proposed method removes the quantization noise, blocking artifacts and corner outliers efficiently for HEVC coded videos even at low bit-rate.We have considered Y(luma),U(chromablue),and V(chroma-red)components parallelly. Finally,we have developed a fuzzy system to detect blocking artifacts and use adaptive filters as per requirement in all four quadrants, namely up 45◦,down 45◦,up 135◦,and down 135◦across horizontal and vertical block boundaries. In this context, experimentation is done on a wide variety of videos. An objective and subjective analysis is carried out with MATLAB software and Human Visual System(HVS).The proposed method substantially outperforms existing postprocessing deblocking techniques in terms of YPSNR and BD_rate.In the proposed method,we achieved 0.32–0.97 dB values of YPSNR.Our method achieved a BD_rate of+1.69%for the luma component,−0.18%(U)and−1.99%(V)for chroma components, respectively, with respect to the stateof-the-art methods. The proposed method proves to have low computational complexity and has better parallel processing, hence suitable for a real-time system in the near future.Anudeep Gandam Jagroop Singh Sidhu 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,3:0
