2SYSTEM ENTITY STRUCTURES FOR SUITES OF SIMULATION MODELS显示文摘We describe how to develop a suite of models in the MS4 Modeling Environment(MS4 Me).The approach employs the operation of merging of System Entity Structures supported by the environment.After construction,the suite of models can be hosted on Model Store,the cloud-based repository of models provided by MS4 systems as a basis for further collaborative model development.A suite of models,relating to Health Care is used as an example.In this paper,we review basic concepts of the SES needed to support of suites of simulation models.We then consider the concept of multiple aspects that provides more advanced capabilities to construct and manipulate suites of models.With this background,we go on to discuss a methodology for developing suites of simulation models and cloud-based technology for storing and sharing such models in a marketplace of models.Finally,we discuss future research and developments needed to bring the marketplace into common use by modeling and simulation practitioners.BERNARD P.ZEIGLER CHUNGMAN SEO DOOHWAN KIM 2013International Journal of Modeling, Simulation, and Scientific Computing2013,4,3:0
3Specification of dynamic structure discrete event systems using single point encapsulated control functions显示文摘In Discrete Event System Specification(DEVS),the dynamics of a network is constituted only by the dynamics of its basic components.The state of each component is fully encapsulated.Control in the network is fully decentralized to each component.At dynamic structure level,DEVS should permit the same level of decentralization.However,it is hard to ensure structure consistency while letting all components achieve structure changes.Besides,this solution can be complex to implement.To avoid these difficulties,usual dynamic structure approaches ensure structure consistency allowing structure changes to be done only by the network having newly added dynamics change capabilities.This is a safe and simple way to achieve dynamic structure.However,it should be possible to simply allow components of a network to modify the structure of their network,other components and/or their own structure—without having to modify the usual definition a DEVS network.In this manuscript,it is shown that a simple fully decentralized approach is possible while ensuring full modularity and structure consistency.Alexandre Muzy Bernard P.Zeigler 2014International Journal of Modeling, Simulation, and Scientific Computing2014,5,3:0
