| 1 | Wide-steering-angle high-resolution optical phased array显示文摘Optical phased array(OPA)technology is considered a promising solution for solid-state beam steering to supersede the traditional mechanical beam steering.As a key component of the LIDAR system for long-range detection,OPAs featuring a wide steering angle and high resolution without beam aliasing are highly desired.However,a wide steering range requires a waveguide pitch less than half of the wavelength,which is easily subjected to cross talk.Besides,high resolution requires a large aperture,and it is normally achieved by a high count number of waveguides,which complicates the control system.To solve the mentioned issues,we design two high-performance 128-channel OPAs fabricated on a multilayered SiN-on-SOI platform.Attributed to the nonuniform antenna pitch,only 128 waveguides are used to achieve a 4 mm wide aperture.Besides,by virtue of innovative dual-level silicon nitride(Si_(3)N_(4))waveguide grating antennas,the fishbone antenna OPA achieves a 100°×19.4°field of view(FOV)with divergence of 0.021°×0.029°,and the chain antenna OPA realizes a 140°×19.23°FOV with divergence of 0.021°×0.1°.To our best knowledge,140°is the widest lateral steering range in two-dimensional OPA,and 0.029°is the smallest longitudinal divergence.Finally,we embed the OPA into a frequency-modulated continuous-wave system to achieve 100 m distance measurement.The reflected signal from 100 m distance is well detected with 26 dBm input transmitter power,which proves that OPA serves as a promising candidate for transceiving optical signal in a LIDAR system. | YINGZHI LI BAISONG CHEN QUANXIN NA QIJIE XIE MIN TAO LANXUAN ZHANG ZIHAO ZHI YUXUAN LI XIAOBIN LIU XIANSHU LUO GUOQIANG LO FENGLI GAO XUEYAN LI JUNFENG SONG | 2021 | Photonics Research2021,9,12: | 7 |
| 2 | Geochemistry of Pyrite from the Gangcha Gold Deposit, West Qinling Orogen, China: Implications for Ore Genesis显示文摘The Gangcha gold deposit was discovered in 2011 in the Xiahe-Hezuo region, West Qinling Orogen, China. Five types of pyrite have been identified in the ore according to the detailed mineral paragenetic studies. Geochemical data are presented for type I pyrite(py1) rim-core zonation and for the different types of pyrite based on in-situ laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(LA-ICP-MS) and electron probe microanalysis(EPMA). The results show that pyrites are characterized with heterogeneous Au concentrations, which indicate that Au occurs mainly as micro-or nano-particle native inclusions. Time-resolved depth profiles demonstrate that As, Co and Ni occur as solid solutions in pyrite, whereas Cu, Pb, Zn and Ag occur mainly as inclusions. Trace element concentrations differ between rims and cores in py1, and the differences also exist within different pyrite types. | 3 | Extraction and back-extraction behaviors of 14 rare earth elements from sulfuric acid medium by TODGA显示文摘The unique physical and chemical properties of rare earth elements lay the foundation for their extensive application. N,N,N',N' Tetra-octyl-3-oxopentanediamide(TODGA) is excellent in its ability of extracting rare earth elements and it is favored for green initiative. In this paper, the extraction and back-extraction of14 rare earth elements by TODGA were studied. Experiments show that in conditions of 6 mol/L sulfuric acid, the extraction temperature of 25 ℃,the phase ratio of 1:1 and 0.04 mol/LTODGA(aviation kerosene as the diluent), the extraction rates of 14 rare earth elements including lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium,neodymium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, lutetium, and yttrium were 99.00%-99.73%. Mixed with hydrochloric acid and nitric acid(HCl 3.5 mol/L, HNO_30.5 mol/L), the recoveries of the 14 rare earth elements are 91.52%-99.91% when the extraction temperature is 25 ℃ and the ratio is 1:1. The following application is based on the optimum conditions above with practical samples(from the roasting production line of China North Rare Earth High-tech Company Limited) for extraction and back-extraction experiments. | 4 | Mineralogy and Chemistry of Sulfides from the Longqi and Duanqiao Hydrothermal Fields in the Southwest Indian Ridge显示文摘Recent investigations found that hydrothermal activity and sulfide mineralization occurs along the Southwest Indian Ridge(SWIR). The Longqi and Duanqiao hydrothermal fields between 49° E and 53° E of the SWIR are two prospective mineralization areas discovered by Chinese scientists. With the aim to determine the mineralogical and chemical characteristics of sulfide minerals, we have conducted detailed studies for samples from the two areas using an optical microscope, X-ray diffractometer, scanning electron microscope, and electron microprobe. The mineralization processes in the Longqi area are divided into three main stages:(1) the low-medium-temperature stage: colloform pyrite(Py I) + marcasite → euhedral pyrite(Py II),(2) the high-temperature stage: isocubanite(±exsolved chalcopyrite) + pyrrhotite → coarse-grained chalcopyrite(Ccp I), and(3) the medium–low-temperature stage: sphalerite + fine-grained chalcopyrite inclusions(Ccp II) → aggregates of anhedral pyrite(Py III) ± marcasite → Fe-oxide(-hydroxide) + amorphous silica. The mineralization processes in the Duanqiao area are divided into two main stages:(1) the medium–high-temperature stage: subhedral and euhedral pyrite(Py I′) → coarse-grained chalcopyrite(Ccp I′) and(2) the medium–low-temperature stage: sphalerite → fine-grained chalcopyrite(Ccp II′) + chalcopyrite inclusions(Ccp II′) → silica-cemented pyrite(Py II′) + marcasite → Fe-oxide + amorphous silica. We suggest that the fine-grained chalcopyrite inclusions in sphalerite from Longqi and Duanqiao were formed by co-precipitation and replacement mechanisms, respectively. Primary sphalerites from both fields are enriched in Fe(avg. 5.84 wt% for the Longqi field vs. avg. 3.69 wt% for the Duanqiao field), Co(avg. 185.56 ppm for the Longqi field vs. 160.53 ppm for the Duanqiao field), and Cd(avg. 1950 ppm for the Longqi field vs. avg. 525.26 ppm for the Duanqiao field). Cu contents in pyrite from the Duanqiao field(Py I′: avg. 849.23 ppm and Py II′: avg. 1191.11 ppm) tend to be higher than those from the Longqi field(Py I: avg. 26.67 ppm, Py II: avg. 445 ppm, and Py III: avg. 179.29 ppm). Chalcopyrite from both fields is enriched in Zn(Ccp I: avg. 3226.67 ppm, Ccp II: avg. 9280 ppm, Ccp I′: avg. 848 ppm, Ccp II′(inclusions): avg. 1098 ppm, and Ccp II′(fine-grained): avg. 1795 ppm). The varying contents of Zn in the different pyrite and chalcopyrite generations may result from the zone refining process. | 5 | Evaluation of gas-liquid separation performance of natural gas filters显示文摘Fibrous filters are often used to remove contaminants including both dusts and liquid droplets from natural gas.This paper aims to evaluate the gas-liquid separation performance of three types of cartridge filters used in the West-East natural gas transmission project.The comparison of the original pressure drop of clean filters and the evolution of pressure drop as liquid droplets deposited in the filter media are described.The original pressure drops of these filters were similar but the pressure drops at a steady state were different.Fractional efficiency was used to study the separation performance of cartridge filters.Droplets at the outlet of the filters had small diameters,no more than 3 μm,but were very numerous.The effect of filtration velocity on gas-liquid separation performance was analyzed.Higher filtration velocity indicated better gas-liquid separation performance.Finally the quality factor related to pressure drop and filtration efficiency was applied to evaluate the gas-liquid separation performance. | Baisong Li Zhongli Ji Xue Yang | 2009 | Petroleum Science2009,6,4: | 2 |

| 8 | IFN-β1b induces OAS3 to inhibit EV71 via IFN-β1b/JAK/STAT1 pathway显示文摘Enterovirus 71(EV71) caused hand, foot and mouth disease(HFMD) is a serious threat to the health of young children. Although type I interferon(IFN-I) has been proven to control EV71 replication, the key downstream IFNstimulated gene(ISG) remains to be clarified and investigated. Recently, we found that 2’-5’-oligoadenylate synthetases 3(OAS3), as one of ISG of IFN-β1b, was antagonized by EV71 3C protein. Here, we confirm that OAS3is the major determinant of IFN-β1b-mediated EV71 inhibition, which depends on the downstream constitutive RNase L activation. 2’-5’-oligoadenylate(2-5A) synthesis activity deficient mutations of OAS3 D816A, D818A,D888A, and K950A lost resistance to EV71 because they could not activate downstream RNase L. Further investigation proved that EV71 infection induced OAS3 but not RNase L expression by IFN pathway. Mechanically, EV71 or IFN-β1b-induced phosphorylation of STAT1, but not STAT3, initiated the transcription of OAS3 by directly binding to the OAS3 promoter. | 11 | EV713C protease cleaves host anti-viral factor OAS3 and enhances virus replication显示文摘The global spread of enteroviruses(EVs)has become more frequent,severe and life-threatening.Intereron(IFN)I has been proved to control EVs by regulating IFN-stimulated genes(ISG)expression.20-50-oligoadenylate synthetases 3(OAS3)is an important ISG in the OAS/RNase L antiviral system.The relationship between OAS3 and EVs is still unclear.Here,we reveal that OAS3,superior to OAS1 and OAS2,significantly inhibited EV71 replication in vitro.However,EV71 utilized autologous 3C protease(3C^(pro))to cleave intracellular OAS3 and enhance viral replication.Rupintrivir,a human rhinovirus 3C protease inhibitor,completely abolished the cleavage of EV713C^(pro)on OAS3.And the proteolytically deficient mutants H40G,E71A,and C147G of EV713C^(pro)also lost the ability of OAS3 cleavage.Mechanistically,the Q982-G983 motif in C-terminal of OAS3 was identified as a crucial 3C^(pro)cutting site.Further investigation indicated that OAS3 inhibited not only EV71 but also Coxsackievirus B3(CVB3),Coxsackievirus A16(CA16),Enterovirus D68(EVD68),and Coxsackievirus A6(CA6)subtypes.Notably,unlike other four subtypes,CA163C^(pro)could not cleave OAS3.Two key amino acids variation Ile36 and Val86 in CA163C^(pro)might result in weak and delayed virus replication of CA16 because of failure of OAS and 3AB cleavage.Our works elucidate the broad anti-EVs function of OAS3,and illuminate a novel mechanism by which EV71 use 3C^(pro)to escape the antiviral effect of OAS3.These findings can be an important entry point for developing novel therapeutic strategies for multiple EVs infection. | Xiaolei Zhou Li Tian Jian Wang Baisong Zheng Wenyan Zhang | 2022 | Virologica Sinica2022,37,3: | 1 |

| 13 | Deubiquitinase ubiquitin-specific protease 3 (USP3) inhibits HIV-1 replication via promoting APOBEC3G (A3G) expression in both enzyme activity-dependent and -independent manners显示文摘Background: Ubiquitination plays an essential role in many biological processes, including viral infection, and can be reversed by deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs). Although some studies discovered that DUBs inhibit or enhance viral infection by various mechanisms, there is lack of information on the role of DUBs in virus regulation, which needs to be further investigated.Methods: Immunoblotting, real-time polymerase chain reaction,in vivo/in vitro deubiquitination, protein immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, and co-localization biological techniques were employed to examine the effect of ubiquitin-specific protease 3 (USP3) on APOBEC3G (A3G) stability and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) replication. To analyse the relationship between USP3 and HIV disease progression, we recruited 20 HIV-infected patients to detect the levels of USP3 and A3G in peripheral blood and analysed their correlation with CD4^(+) T-cell counts. Correlation was estimated by Pearson correlation coefficients (for parametric data).Results: The results demonstrated that USP3 specifically inhibits HIV-1 replication in an A3G-dependent manner. Further investigation found that USP3 stabilized 90% to 95% of A3G expression by deubiquitinating Vif-mediated polyubiquitination and blocking its degradation in an enzyme-dependent manner. It also enhances the A3G messenger RNA (mRNA) level by binding to A3G mRNA and stabilizing it in an enzyme-independent manner. Moreover, USP3 expression was positively correlated with A3G expression (r= 0.5110) and CD4^(+) T-cell counts (r= 0.5083) in HIV-1-infected patients.Conclusions: USP3 restricts HIV-1 viral infections by increasing the expression of the antiviral factor A3G. | 15 | Three-terminal germanium-on-silicon avalanche photodiode with extended p-charge layer for dark current reduction显示文摘Germanium-on-silicon(Ge-on-Si) avalanche photodiodes(APDs) are widely used in near-infrared detection, laser ranging, free space communication, quantum communication, and other fields. However, the existence of lattice defects at the Ge/Si interface causes a high dark current in the Ge-on-Si APD, degrading the device sensitivity and also increasing energy consumption in integrated circuits. In this work, we propose a novel surface illuminated Ge-on-Si APD architecture with three terminals. Besides two electrodes on Si substrates, a third electrode is designed for Ge to regulate the control current and bandwidth, achieving multiple outputs of a single device and reducing the dark current of the device. When the voltage on Ge is -27.5 V, the proposed device achieves a dark current of 100 n A, responsivity of 9.97 A/W at -40 d Bm input laser power at 1550 nm, and optimal bandwidth of 142 MHz. | 16 | Incidence of Major Adverse Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Events in Chinese Patients Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention with Iodixanol: An Observational Postauthorization Study显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to evaluate the major adverse cardiovascular and cerebrovascular events(MACCEs)and overall safety profile associated with iodixanol in Chinese patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods:Patients at 30 centers in China registered in the OpenClinic v3.6 database from October 30,2013,to October 7,2015,were included in the study.The primary endpoint was in-hospital MACCEs including target lesion revascularization(TLR),stroke,stent thrombosis,cardiac death,and PCI-related myocardial infarction(MI)within 72 h post-PCI.Secondary endpoints were MACCEs from 72 h to 30 d post-PCI and other safety events within 30 d post-PCI.Results:A total of 3,042 patients were enrolled.The incidence of MACCEs within 72 h post-PCI was 2.33%(n=71),including cardiac death(0.03%,n=1)and PCI-related MI(2.30%,n=70).The incidence of MACCEs from 72 h to 30 d post-PCI was 0.16%(n=5),including cardiac death(0.10%,n=3),PCI-related MI(0.03%,n=1),and TLR for stent thrombosis(0.03%,n=1).The incidence of composite angiographic or procedural complications was 2.86%(n=87);233(7.86%)patients had results suggesting contrast-induced acute kidney injury.Conclusions:These findings indicate that the use of iodixanol in Chinese patients undergoing PCI is associated with a low incidence of MACCEs,confirming its safety in this population. | Xiaozeng Wang Dengfeng Ma Tianchang Li Bao Li Xi Su Yanqing Wu Zhimin Du Zheng Ji Ping Yang Baisong Yang Xuebin Cao Junxia Li Fengxia Hou Ziping Cheng Banglong Xu Yaling Han | 2023 | Cardiology Discovery2023,3,2: | 0 |

| 18 | LncRNA NKILA inhibits HBV replication by repressing NF-κB signalling activation显示文摘Hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection results in liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).HBx/nuclear factor(NF)-κB pathway plays a role in HBV replication.However,whether NF-κB-interacting long noncoding RNA(NKILA),a suppressor of NF-κB activation,regulates HBV replication remains largely unknown.In this study,gain-and-loss experiments showed that NKILA inhibited HBV replication by inhibiting NF-κB activity.In turn,HBV infection down-regulated NKILA expression.In addition,expression levels of NKILA were lower in the peripheral blood-derived monocytes(PBMCs)of HBV-positive patients than in healthy individuals,which were correlated with HBV viral loads.And a negative correlation between NKILA expression level and HBV viral loads was observed in blood serum from HBV-positive patients.Lower levels of endogenous NKILA were also observed in HepG2 cells expressing a 1.3-fold HBV genome,HBV-infected HepG2-NTCP cells,stable HBV-producing HepG2.2.15 and HepAD38 cells,compared to those HBV-negative cells.Furthermore,HBx was required for NKILA-mediated inhibition on HBV replication.NKILA decreased HBx-induced NF-κB activation by interrupting the interaction between HBx and p65,whereas NKILA mutants lack of essential domains for NF-κB inhibition,lost the ability to inhibit HBV replication.Together,our data demonstrate that NKILA may serve as a suppressor of HBV replication via NF-κB signalling. | Xi Zhang Yuanyuan Li Chen Huan Yubao Hou Rujia Liu Hongyun Shi Peng Zhang Baisong Zheng Yingchao Wang Hong Wang Wenyan Zhang | 2024 | Virologica Sinica2024,39,1: | 0 |
