1Palaeogeomorphology and its control on the development of sequence stratigraphy and depositional systems of the Early Silurian in the Tarim Basin显示文摘The Silurian in the Tarim Basin was deposited on the basement deformed by the Caledonian tectonic movements at the end of the Late Ordovician. The development and distribution of sedimentary sequences of the Early Silurian have been clearly controlled by the palaeogeomorphology of the Late Ordovician. Based on unconformity characteristics and distribution of erosion, several zones can be differentiated including a high uplifted erosion zone, a transitional slope zone and a depression zone. The central and west Tabei Uplift zones show high angular unconformity and intense erosion. The Tarim Basin in the late Ordovician shows characteristics of higher in the west, lower in the east while higher in the south, lower in the north. The Early Silurian mainly developed transgressive and highstand systems tracts on the whole, while the lowstand systems tract only developed partly below the slope break. The palaeogeomorphology controlled the clastic source supply and deposit distribution. Braided delta system and tidal flat–estuary system were deposited. The duration of uplifting of the Tazhong paleouplift was longer than that of the Tabei paleo-uplift, and deposition was later. This led to the lower and middle members of the Kepingtage Formation missing in that area. As a large-scale transgression occurred during the deposition period of the upper member of the Kepingtage Formation, sediment from the west of the basin was transported and deposited by tides and waves, forming tidal–marine debris systems above the uplift. Proximal alluvial fan and fan delta coarse clastic deposits developed in proximal uplift zone in the east and southeast of the basin, and braided delta put forward to the transitional zone between the edge of uplift and the sea. Large-scale tidal channel, sub-distributary channel and mouth bar of the delta front can form favorable reservoirs, and they are primary targets for oil and gas exploration. 2Safety and efficacy of Yupingfeng granules in children with recurrent respiratory tract infection:A randomized clinical trial显示文摘Importance:Recurrent respiratory tract infection(RRTI)is common in children.Inappropriate RRTI treatment will lead to asthma and other diseases,thereby seriously affecting the growth and physical health of children.Immune function modulation can prevent and alleviate childhood RRTI.Yupingfeng(YPF),a patented traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),has immunomodulatory effects and is widely used in China to treat children with RRTI.Objective:To evaluate the safety and efficacy of YPF monotherapy in treating children with RRTI.Methods:This multicenter,randomized,double-blind,double-simulation,noninferiority clinical trial was conducted from January 2015 to August 2017,with an 8-week treatment period and 52-week follow-up after the drug withdrawal.Children aged 2–6 years with RRTI meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria were enrolled in 13 hospitals in China and divided randomly into three groups(2:2:1 ratio)to receive YPF,pidotimod,or placebo.The primary outcome was the proportion of RRTI returning to normal standard level during the follow-up.The secondary outcomes were reduction in the number of RRTI recurrences,effect on clinical symptoms(in accord with TCM practice),effect per symptom,and safety.The trial was registered at the Chinese Clinical Trials Registry(www.chictr.org.cn)under the unique identifier ChiCTR-IPR-15006847.Results:Three hundred and fifty-one children were enrolled and randomly assigned to 3 groups;124,125,and 61 children in the YPF,pidotimod,and placebo groups,respectively,had completed the trial.During the follow-up,the proportion of RRTI returning to normal standard level was 73.13%,67.15%,and 38.81%with YPF,pidotimod,and placebo,respectively(P<0.0001).The proportion of cases who returned to normal standard level in the YPF group was 34.32%higher than that in the placebo group.The safety profile did not significantly differ among the groups.Interpretation:YPF granules were noninferior to the active control drug pidotimod oral solution for the treatment of RRTI in children,and were superior to placebo,with a high safety profile.Baoping Xu Xinmin Li Siyuan Hu Yixiao Bao Fengmei Chen Zhimin Chen Yonggang Du Enmei Liu Yufeng Liu Qinghui Mou Baoling Su Bo Wang Jianwen Xu Guiping Xu Qiaozhi Yang Liwei Gao Xiaohui Liu Lei Li Rong Ma Kunling Shen 2022Pediatric Investigation2022,6,2:3

4Multiplex detection of KRAS and BRAF mutations using cationic conjugated polymers显示文摘The mutation detections of KRAS and BRAF genes are of significant importance to predict the responses to anti-cancer therapy and develop new drugs. In this paper, we developed a multi-step fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) assay for multiplex detection of KRAS and BRAF mutations using cationic conjugated polymers (CCP). The newly established detection system could detect as low as 2% mutant DNAs in DNA admixtures. By triggering the emission intensity change of CCP and the dyes labeled in the DNA, four possible statuses (three mutations and one wildtype) can be differentiated in one extension reaction. The detection efficiency of this new method in clinical molecular diagnosis was validated by determining KRAS and BRAF mutations of 51 formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) ovary tissue samples. Furthermore, the result of the CCP-based multi-step FRET assay can be directly visualized under UV light so that no expensive instruments and technical expertise are needed. 7Alteration of Intestinal Archaeal Community Composition in Broilers with Different Growth Rates显示文摘The gastrointestinal tract,as the major digestive and absorbing organ,plays an important role in chicken growth.Numerous studies have been undertaken to investigate the gut bacterial community in broilers,but little is known about the archaeal community composition.To improve our understanding of the composition of intestinal archaea and the relationship between archaea and chicken growth,a feeding trial was conducted with 10 000 Ross 308 chicks in a commercial production facility under standard management.At 38 d of age,15 birds with the highest body weight( H group),15 birds with average body weight( M group),and15 birds with the lowest body weight( L group) were selected among 600 healthy male individuals.Cecal archaeal community was detected based on 16 S rRNA gene sequencing.As a result,3 321 229 archaeal sequences were clustered into 1 281 operational taxonomic units( OTUs) and classified into three phyla( Crenarchaeota,Euryarchaeota and Thaumarchaeota) and six known genera: Natronomonas,Halolamina,Salinarchaeum,Cenarchaeum,Candidatus,Nitrosoarchaeum and Nitrososphaera.The alpha indices showed that,the richness of archaea in L group was the highest,and followed by that in M group and H group,while the archaea in H group were more diverse,followed by those in M group and L group.However,the archaeal composition in all chicken samples was similar,with the vast majority of the sequences belonging to Cenarchaeum,and only a few belonging to the other five genera.Gui Guohong Xiao Yingping Dai Baoling Chen Xiaomin Yang Hua Xu E 2017Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2017,9,6:0

9Effects of soil fauna on leaf litter decomposition under different land uses in eastern coast of China显示文摘Soil fauna decompose litter, whereas land use changes may significantly alter the composition and structure of soil fauna assemblages.However, little is known of the effects of land-use on the contribution of soil fauna to litter decomposition.We studied the impacts of soil fauna on the decomposition of litter from poplar trees under three different land uses(i.e.poplar-crop integrated system, poplar plantation, and cropland), from December2013 to December 2014, in a coastal area of Northern Jiangsu Province.We collected litter samples in litterbags with three mesh sizes(5, 1 and 0.01 mm, respectively) to quantify the contribution of various soil fauna to the decomposition of poplar leaf litter.Litter decomposition rates differed significantly by land use and were highest in the cropland, intermediate in the poplar-crop integrated system, and lowest in the poplar plantation.Soil fauna in the poplar-crop integrated system was characterized by the highest numbers of taxa and individuals, and highest Margalef's diversity, which suggested that agro-forestry ecosystems may support a greater quantity, distribution,and biodiversity of soil fauna than can single-species agriculture or plantation forestry.The individuals and groups of soil fauna in the macro-mesh litterbags were higher than in the meso-mesh litterbags under-the same land use types.The average contribution rate of meso-and micro-fauna to litter decomposition was18.46%, which was higher than the contribution rate of macro-fauna(3.31%).The percentage of remaining litter mass was inversely related to the density of the soil fauna(P < 0.05) in poplar plantations; however, was unrelated in the poplar-crop integrated system and cropland.This may have been the result of anthropogenic interference in poplar-crop integrated systems and croplands.Our study suggested that when land-use change alters vegetation types, it can affect species composition and the structure of soil fauna assemblages, which, in turn, affects litter decomposition.Baoling Yang Wenwen Zhang Hanmei Xu Shaojun Wang Xia Xu Huan Fan Han Y.
