| 2 | Intensive phototherapy vs.exchange transfusion for the treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia:a multicenter retrospective cohort study显示文摘Background:Intensive phototherapy(IPT)and exchange transfusion(ET)are the main treatments for extreme hyperbilirubinemia.However,there is no reliable evidence on determining the thresholds for these treatments.This multicenter study compared the effectiveness and complications of IPT and ET in the treatment of extreme hyperbilirubinemia.Methods:This retrospective cohort study was conducted in seven centers from January 2015 to January 2018.Patients with extreme hyperbilirubinemia that met the criteria of ET were included.Patients were divided into three subgroups(low-,medium-,and high-risk)according to gestational week and risk factors.Propensity score matching(PSM)was performed to balance the data before treatment.Study outcomes included the development of bilirubin encephalopathy,duration of hospitalization,expenses,and complications.Mortality,auditory complications,seizures,enamel dysplasia,ocular motility disorders,athetosis,motor,and language development were evaluated during follow-up at age of 3 years.Results:A total of 1164 patients were included in this study.After PSM,296 patients in the IPT only group and 296 patients in the IPT plus ET group were further divided into the low-,medium-,and high-risk subgroups with 188,364,and 40 matched patients,respectively.No significant differences were found between the IPT only and IPT plus ET groups in terms of morbidity,complications,and sequelae.Hospitalization duration and expenses were lower in the low-and medium-risk subgroups in the IPT only group.Conclusions:In this study,our results suggest that IPT is a safe and effective treatment for extreme hyperbilirubinemia.The indication of ET for patients with hyperbilirubinemia could be stricter.However,it is necessary to have a contingency plan for emergency ET as soon as IPT is commenced especially for infants with risk factors.If IPT can be guaranteed and proved to be therapeutic,ET should be avoided as much as possible. | Meng Zhang Yang He Jun Tang Wenbin Dong Yong Zhang Benjin Zhang Hong Wan Quanmin Deng Lirong Guan Bin Xia Zhong Chen Min Ge Jing Zhao Wenxing Li Jingjun Pei Yi Qu Dezhi Mu | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,5: | 7 |
| 3 | Upconversion nanoparticles@AgBiS_(2) core-shell nanoparticles with cancer-cell-specific cytotoxicity for combined photothermal and photodynamic therapy of cancers显示文摘UCNPs@AgBiS_(2) core-shell nanoparticles that AgBiS_(2) coated on the surface of upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) was successfully prepared through an ion exchange reaction. The photothermal conversion efficiency of AgBiS_(2) can be improved from 14.7% to 45% due to the cross relaxation between Nd ions and AgBiS_(2). The doping concentration of Nd ions played a critical role in the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and enhanced the photothermal conversion efficiency. The NaYF4:Yb/Er/Nd@NaYF4:Nd nanoparticles endows strong upcon-version emissions when the doped concentration of Nd ions is 1% in the inner core, which excites the AgBiS_(2) shell to produce ROS for photodynamic therapy (PDT) of cancer cells. As a result, the as-prepared NaYF4:Yb/Er/ Nd@NaYF4:Nd@AgBiS_(2) core-shell nanoparticles showed combined photothermal/photodynamic therapy (PTT/ PDT) against malignant tumors. | 9 | A Multi-Generation Schmakeria poplesia Culturing System for Use in Ecotoxicological Study显示文摘Crustacean zooplankton form the keystone link between primary producers and fish stocks in marine and estuary ecosystems. We have established a multi-generation cultivation system for zooplankton with which future experiments on the biological effects of pollutants in marine and estuary environments can be better performed. A population of calanoid copepod, Schmakeria poplesia, was collected in December 2003 and maintained in a static system through all stages (eggs to adults). The population exhibited an average developmental time of 13.6 d in conditions corresponding to the natural environment (water temperature 20℃, salinity 15). A series of experiments were performed to examine copepod egg production and hatching success as functions of food type and feeding concentration. Results in our study showed that Isochrysis galbana was more favored for the reproduction of copepods than Phaeodactylum tricornutum, and 10×104cells mL-1 was the most practical algae concentration. We have demonstrated that the Schmakeria poplesia population can be maintained in the laboratory through multiple generations. | 13 | Preliminary Study on the Occurrence of Maize Diseases in Anhui Province显示文摘The occurrence of maize diseases was systematically studied at different growth stages of maize in different areas of Anhui Province. It was found that maize has a long optimal growth period in Anhui Province, and the maize planting structure is complex. The northern region is mainly planted with summer maize in large scale, while the southern region is mainly planted with spring maize in scattered pattern. In terms of diseases, the south spring maize suffered from more diverse diseases than the north summer maize. The main maize disease in Suzhou, Bozhou, Fuyang and Bengbu areas was southern rust, which was common with the highest diseased plant rate of 76%. The main maize diseases in Lu'an, Anqing, Chizhou, Tongling and Xuancheng were rust, maize rough dwarf virus(MRDV), southern leaf blight and sheath blight. Other diseases such as northern leaf blight, stalk rot and maize smut occurred commonly.
