8Ultra-compact,high-numerical-aperture achromatic multilevel diffractive lens via metaheuristic approach显示文摘Recently,multilevel diffractive lenses(MDLs)have attracted considerable attention,mainly due to their superior wave-focusing performance;however,efforts to reduce chromatic aberration are still ongoing.Here,we present a numerical design and experimentally demonstrate a high-numerical aperture(∼0.99),diffraction-limited achromatic multilevel diffractive lens(AMDL),operating in the microwave range of 10–14 GHz.A multi-objective differential evolution(MO-DE)algorithm was incorporated with the three-dimensional(3D)finite-difference time-domain method to optimize the heights and widths of each concentric ring(zone)of the AMDL structure.To the best of our knowledge for the first time,in this study,the desired focal distance was also treated as an optimization parameter in addition to the structural parameters of the zones.Thus,MO-DE diminishes the necessity of predetermined focal distance and center wavelength by also providing an alternative method for phase profile tailoring.The proposed AMDL can be considered an ultra-compact and flat lens since it has the radius of 3.7λ_(c) and a thickness of∼λ_(c),whereλ_(c) is the center wavelength of 24.98 mm(i.e.,12 GHz).The numerically calculated full width at half maximum values are<0.554λand focusing efficiency values are varying between 28%and 45.5%.To experimentally demonstrate the functionality of the optimized lens,the AMDL composed of polylactic acid material polymer is fabricated via 3D-printing technology.The numerical and experimental results are compared,discussed in detail,and observed to be in good agreement.Moreover,the verified AMDL in the microwave regime is scaled down to the visible wavelengths to observe achromatic and diffraction-limited focusing behavior between 380 and 620 nm wavelengths.BUMIN K.YILDIRIM HAMZA KURT MIRBEK TURDUEV 2021Photonics Research2021,9,10:0
9Acute effect of smoking on gallbladder emptying and refilling in chronic smokers and nonsmokers: A sonographic study显示文摘AIM: To ultrasonographicaly evaluate the acute effects of smoking on gallbladder contraction and refilling in chronic smokers and nonsmokers.METHODS: Fifteen chronic smokers (21-30 years old) and fifteen nonsmokers (21-35 years old) participated in this study. Chronic smokers were selected among the volunteers who had been smoking for at least 5 years and 10 cigarettes per day (mean 17.5/d). Examinations were performed in two separate days. In the fi rst day, basal gallbladder (GB) volumes of volunteers were measured after 8-h fasting. After the examinations, participants had a meal containing at least 30-40 gram fat. Gallbladder volume was assessed at 5, 15, 30, 60, 120 and 180 min after the meal. In the second day, participants smoked 2 cigarettes after 8-h fasting. Then, they had the same meal, and gallbladder measurements were repeated at the same time points. Same procedures were applied to both groups. RESULTS: The mean starving GB volumes were 23.3 ± 3.3 mL in the fi rst day, 21.9 ± 3.0 mL in the second day in nonsmoker group and 18.3 ± 3.0 mL in the fi rst day, 19.5 ± 2.8 mL in second day in smoker group. There was no significant difference between starving GB volumes. We did not fi nd any signifi cant difference between the GB volumes measured at 5, 15, 30, 60, 120 and 180 min in the fi rst and second days in nonsmoker group. In smokers, post cigarette GB volume was found significantly higher at 5, 15 and 30 min which corresponded to GB contraction phase (P < 0.05). Control GB volume measurements were not signifi cantly different between the two groups. Post-smoking GB volumes were also not signifi cantly different between the two groups.CONCLUSION: Smoking prolongs the maximal GB emptying time both in smokers and in nonsmokers though it is not signifi cant. It delays GB contraction inchronic smokers and causes a signifi cant decrease in GB emptying volume. Smoking causes no signifi cant delay in GB refi lling in both smokers and nonsmokers. These effects of smoking observed in acute phase result in bile stasis in GB. 10A design method for booster motor of brake-by-wire system based on intelligent electric vehicle显示文摘The brake-by-wire(BBW)system is an essential part of the intelligent electric vehicle,which is determination of the braking safety and recovery efficiency.To design a safe and efficient booster motor,the design of booster motor for BBW system is discussed in this paper.Through comparative analysis,experimental simulation and assessment argument,the scheme of designing a booster motor for brake-by-wire system is completely described.First,the mainstream structure of the BBW system and the main challenges it faces in the assisted motor are discussed.Second,comparing the motors of different types and structures,the motor body and control system scheme suitable for the characteristics of the booster motor system are determined.Then,through the simulation analysis of the ansoft and matlab,the optimization scheme of the motor and performance improvement are proposed.Further,through the actual design of a set of the booster motor system,the safe and efficient motor designing are verified,and the problems involving functional safety are discussed.Finally,focus on the problem while simulation and experiment,some important countermeasures to improve current technology and prospect of in-depth study are pointed out.Bumin Meng Zhengzhao Zhou Congyue Zhang Feifan Yang 2023Green Energy and Intelligent Transportation2023,2,4:0
