1Sedimentary records of eutrophication in the Changjiang Estuary upwelling area over last 100 a显示文摘The upwelling area in the Changjiang Estuary was selected to collect the core, where the red tide occurred frequently and hypoxic existed. The total organic carbon (TOC), total nitrogen (TN), biogenic silica (BSi) and stable organic carbon isotopic ratios(δ13 Corg) were determined on the 210Pb-dated sediment core. The concentrations of TOC, TN, BSi as well as their sedimentation fluxes have increased to some extent since the 1970s. TOC and TN fluxes increased about 45%, 36% respectively. The average δ13 Corg value in the core was -23.67×10-3 which remained nearly constant before the 20 century. The δ13 Corg values increased after the 1900s, two marked increases were observed from the 1950s and the 1970s. A simple δ13 Corg model was used to estimate the contribution of terrigenous and marine organic matter inputs for the sediment, which indicated the increase in accumulation since the 1970s has been almost exclusively marine. The increasing of marine organic matter accumulation (TOC, TN and BSi) was corresponding with the increasing of fertilizer consumption and the NO3-N budgets from the Changjiang River. The riverine runoff of fertilizers and nutrients stimulated the algae blooming. Enhanced primary production resulted in an enrichment of organic matter in the sediment. 3Effect of system parameters on the size distributions of hollow nickel microspheres produced by an ultrasound-aided electrical discharge machining process显示文摘Ultrasound-aided electric discharge machining(EDM) is an emerging technology for producing hollow nickel microspheres.This technology combines traditional EDM with the cavitation and vibration effects of ultrasound to produce hollow microspheres.In this paper,ultrasound-aided EDM was carried out in a kerosene medium(the working solution).The effects of various parameters on the sizes of microspheres were investigated using scanning electronic microscopy(SEM).Smileview software was used to measure the sizes of the microspheres.Originpro software was used for statistical analysis to determine the size distributions of the microspheres.To study the effects of the system parameters on the sizes of the microspheres,we first investigated the necessity of using an ultrasonic wave with EDM.After comparing the experimental results with and without the ultrasonic field,we found that ultrasound-induced cavitation and vibration effects reduced the diameters of the microspheres.We then studied the effects of several electrical parameters,including the arc current,pulse width,and gap voltage,on the sizes of the microspheres at an ultrasound frequency of 40 kHz.Smaller microspheres could be obtained by lowering the arc current,pulse width,and gap voltage.Yifan Liu Xianglong Li Fushi Bai Jian Chen Yantao Wang Nan Liu 2014Particuology2014,12,6:4
4Mussel-inspired adhesive antioxidant antibacterial hemostatic composite hydrogel wound dressing via photo-polymerization for infected skin wound healing显示文摘With the increasing prevalence of drug-resistant bacterial infections and the slow healing of chronically infected wounds,the development of new antibacterial and accelerated wound healing dressings has become a serious challenge.In order to solve this problem,we developed photo-crosslinked multifunctional antibacterial adhesive anti-oxidant hemostatic hydrogel dressings based on polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether modified glycidyl methacrylate functionalized chitosan(CSG-PEG),methacrylamide dopamine(DMA)and zinc ion for disinfection of drug-resistant bacteria and promoting wound healing.The mechanical properties,rheological properties and morphology of hydrogels were characterized,and the biocompatibility of these hydrogels was studied through cell compatibility and blood compatibility tests.These hydrogels were tested for the in vitro blood-clotting ability of whole blood and showed good hemostatic ability in the mouse liver hemorrhage model and the mouse-tail amputation model.In addition,it has been confirmed that the multifunctional hydrogels have good inherent antibacterial properties against Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA).In the full-thickness skin defect model infected with MRSA,the wound closure ratio,thickness of granulation tissue,number of collagen deposition,regeneration of blood vessels and hair follicles were measured.The inflammation-related cytokines(CD68)and angiogenesis-related cytokines(CD31)expressed during skin regeneration were studied.All results indicate that these multifunctional antibacterial adhesive hemostatic hydrogels have better healing effects than commercially available Tegaderm™Film,revealing that they have become promising alternative in the healing of infected wounds.Yutong Yang Yongping Liang Jueying Chen Xianglong Duan Baolin Guo 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,2:3
5The subsistence patterns of the Shengedaliang site(-4,000 yr BP)revealed by stable carbon and nitrogen isotopes in northern Shaanxi,China显示文摘In order to explore subsistence patterns in northern Shaanxi Province around 4,000 yr BP,28 human and 24 animal bones from the Shengedaliang site were sampled for stable carbon and nitrogen isotope ratio analysis.The results show that most people primarily subsisted on C_4 resources,e.g.millet and millet-related animal products,despite the fact that there was some intake of C_3 plants by some individuals.Stable nitrogen isotope values indicate that there were differences in meat consumption between individuals at the site.Pigs were mainly foddered with millet and millet byproducts,as well as some cattle,according to their highδ^(13)C values.However,most cattle and the sheep/goats consumed wild C_3 plants at Shengedaliang.Our above findings indicates that subsistence patterns in northern Shaanxi around 4,000 yr BP were characterized by millet farming,while the grassland animal husbandry,e.g.cattle and sheep/goats raising,displayed very little contribution to local economy.The intensive millet farming in northern Shaanxi provided enough food for population growth,ensured the accumulation of wealth,and consequently accelerated social differentiation and complexity.CHEN XiangLong GUO XiaoNing WANG WeiLin HU SongMei YANG MiaoMiao WU Yan HU YaoWu 2017Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,2:2
6Effect of Cu on the boron segregation at grain boundaries and vacancy-type defects in ultra-low carbon micro-alloy steels显示文摘By thermal neutron irradiation particle tracking autoradiography(PTA)technique,the development of boron segregation at grain boundaries in ultra-low carbon micro-alloy steels was investigated during cooling from 1150°C to 850°C,and the effect of Cu on boron segregation at grain boundaries was discussed.By positron annihilation lifetime(PAL)technique,the changes of vacancy-type defects with temperatures and the effect of Cu on vacancy-type defects in the cooling process were discussed.Results show that,the concentration of boron at grain boundaries increases rapidly at the beginning of the cooling;after that,it begins to decrease;and then,it increases gradually again.The addition of Cu not only increases the concentration of boron at grain boundaries but also speeds up the development process of boron segregation at grain boundaries.During the continuous cooling process,the addition of Cu significantly affects the change of vacancy-type defects with temperatures in ultra-low carbon micro-alloy steels.YANG RuiJie WU Ping LI XiangLong ZHANG ShiPing CHEN Sen WANG BaoYi JU Xin 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,6:2
7Experimental and Numerical Study of the Effect of Fuel/Air Mixing Modes on NO_(x) and CO Emissions of MILD Combustion in a Boiler Burner显示文摘The Moderate or Intense Low-oxygen Dilution (MILD) combustion is characterized by low emissions,stable combustion and low noise for various kinds of fuel,which has great potential in the industry.The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of fuel/air mixing modes on NO_(x) and CO emissions of MILD combustion in a boiler burner by experiments and numerical simulations.Three types of fuel/air mixing modes (premixing mode,diffusion mode and hybrid mode) have been considered in this study.The realizable k-ε turbulent model and the Eddy Dissipation Concept (EDC) combustion model were used in numerical simulations.In addition to the temperature near the burner head,the calculation results match very well with the axial temperature distribution at the furnace center.The flow pattern under different mixing modes is similar,while the hybrid mode has a higher OH concentration near the diffusive fuel nozzle than the premixing mode,and the corresponding position of the peak OH concentration is closer to the rear half of the furnace.The distribution of temperature is extremely uniform for the premixing mode in the main reactive zone,which is typical for MILD combustion.There is a distinct area where the reaction temperature is higher than 1600 K for the hybrid mode.Moreover,in the main reactive zone,the gas recirculation ratio is high enough to ensure flue gas recirculation,which is beneficial to achieve MILD combustion at local areas.At the location where the axial distance is greater than 0.2 m,the gas recirculation ratio of the premixing mode is larger than that of the hybrid mode,which strengthens the entrainment of hot flue gas into the recirculated gas.The experimental results show that when the thermal intensity is less than 1.67 MW·m^(-3),the NO_(x) emissions are less than 15× 10^(-6)@3.5%O_(2) in near stoichiometric ratio in the premixing mode,and the CO emissions are less than 10× 10^(-6)@3.5%O2 under the same conditions.In the diffusion mode,the NO_(x) emissions are less than 30×10^(-6)@3.5%O_(2).In order to keep NO_(x) and CO emissions low,the hybrid modes with optimized fuel distribution ratio are found under different thermal intensities.ZHU Ziru XIONG Yan ZHENG Xianglong CHEN Weijie REN Baohe XIAO Yunhan 2021Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,2:1

12Genome sequence of Gossypium anomalum facilitates interspecific introgression breeding显示文摘Crop wild relatives are an important reservoir of natural biodiversity. However, incorporating wild geneticdiversity into breeding programs is often hampered by reproductive barriers and a lack of accurate genomicinformation. We assembled a high-quality, accurately centromere-anchored genome of Gossypium anomalum, a stress-tolerant wild cotton species. We provided a strategy to discover and transfer agronomicallyvaluable genes from wild diploid species to tetraploid cotton cultivars. With a (Gossypium hirsutum 3 G.anomalum)2 hexaploid as a bridge parent, we developed a set of 74 diploid chromosome segment substitution lines (CSSLs) of the wild cotton species G. anomalum in the G. hirsutum background. This set of CSSLsincluded 70 homozygous substitutions and four heterozygous substitutions, and it collectively containedabout 72.22% of the G. anomalum genome. Twenty-four quantitative trait loci associated with plant height,yield, and fiber qualities were detected on 15 substitution segments. Integrating the reference genome withagronomic trait evaluation of the CSSLs enabled location and cloning of two G. anomalum genes thatencode peroxiredoxin and putative callose synthase 8, respectively, conferring drought tolerance andimproving fiber strength. 13Optimization modeling method for coal-to-electricity heating load considering differential decisions显示文摘Heating by electricity rather than coal is considered one effective way to reduce environmental problems. Thus, the electric heating load is growing rapidly, which may cause undesired problems in distribution grids because of the randomness and dispersed integration of the load. However, the electric heating load may also function as an energy storage system with optimal operational control. Therefore, the optimal modeling of electric heating load characteristics, considering its randomness, is important for grid planning and construction. In this study, the heating loads of distributed residential users in a certain area are modeled based on the Fanger thermal comfort equation and the predicted mean vote thermal comfort index calculation method. Different temperatures are considered while modeling the users' heating loads. The heat load demand curve is estimated according to the time-varying equation of interior temperature. A multi-objective optimization model for the electric heating load with heat energy storage is then studied considering the demand response(DR), which optimizes economy and the comfort index. A fuzzy decision method is proposed, considering the factors influencing DR behavior. Finally, the validity of the proposed model is verified by simulations. 14Risk SNP-induced lncRNA-SLCCl drives colorectal cancer through activating glycolysis signaling显示文摘Long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)play key roles in colorectal carcinogenesis.Here,we aimed to identify the risk SNP-induced lncRNAs and to investigate their roles in colorectal carcinogenesis.First,we identified rs6695584 as the causative SNP in 1 q41 locus.The A>G mutation of rs6695584 created a protein-binding motif of BATF,altered the enhancer activity,and subsequently activated IncSLCCl expression.Further validation in two independent CRC cohorts confirmed the upregulation of IncSLCCl in CRC tissues,and revealed that increased IncSLCCl expression was associated with poor survival in CRC patients.Mechanistically,lncRNA-SLCCl interacted with AHR and transcriptionally activated HK2 expression,the crucial enzyme in glucose metabolism,thereby driving the glycolysis pathway and accelerating CRC tumor growth.The functional assays revealed that IncSLCCl induced glycolysis activation and tumor growth in CRC mediated by HK2.In addition,HK2 was upregulated in colorectal cancer tissues and positively correlated with IncSLCCl expression and patient survival.Taken together,our findings reveal a risk SNP-mediated oncogene lncRNA-SLCCl promotes CRC through activating the glycolysis pathway.Tingting Yan Chaoqin Shen Penglei Jiang Chenyang Yu Fangfang Guo Xianglong Tian Xiaoqiang Zhu Shiyuan Lu Bingshe Han Ming Zhong Jinxian Chen Qiang Liu Yingxuan Chen Junfang Zhang Jie Hong Haoyan Chen Jing-Yuan Fang 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,3:1
15Quantification on the Effects of Liquid-Vapor Separation in Air-Conditioning System by using Advanced Exergy Analysis显示文摘Air-conditioning system consumes a large amount of electricity in residential sections,and its efficiency has drawn extensive concerns in energy-conscious era.Liquid-vapor separation is a heat transfer enhancement technology that can effectively improve the performance of the heat exchanger as well as the system.In this paper,a regular air-conditioning system as the baseline(system-A)and other two air-conditioning systems with liquid-vapor separation heat exchanger(system-B and system-C)are comparatively studied.The component behaviors and system performances are deeply explored by using advanced exergy analysis with a focus on quantifying how much consequences come from the variants,i.e.liquid-vapor separation.The results indicate that the system-B has large reduced exergy destruction from the compressor and condenser at cooling mode relative to the system-A.The system-C has mainly diminished exergy destruction in the compressor caused by other components relative to the system-B.At heating mode,the system-C has an enhanced system exergy efficiency of 9.6%over the system-A,and it also has the decreased avoidable exergy destruction which is dominantly contributed by the compressor and evaporator.Furthermore,it is found that liquid-vapor separation mainly benefits the compressor and outdoor heat exchanger where it locates,leading to the system performance improvements.LI Yunhai CHEN Jianyong LIN Xu YANG Zhi CHEN Ying LUO Xianglong 2020Journal of Thermal Science2020,29,3:1
16Investigation of Vapor-liquid Ejector with Organic Working Fluids显示文摘The vapor-liquid ejector is a simply flow device and driven by thermal energy. In this paper, a modified mathematical model of the vapor-liquid ejector is proposed, and the validation shows good agreements with the experimental data. A study is carried out with six organic working fluids, namely R1233 zd(E), R1336 mzz(Z), R236 ea, R245 ca, R245 fa and R365 mfc. The influences of the entrainment ratio, the area ratio, the superheating at the vapor nozzle inlet, the subcooling at the liquid nozzle inlet, and the pressures at these inlets on the pressure lifting are parametrically investigated. An increase in the subcooling leads to the great increasing of pressure lifting and the superheating has slight effect on the pressure lifting, whereas others have the opposite tendency. The studies of the pressures and temperatures at the typical locations inside the vapor-liquid ejector are further conducted by using R1336 mzz(Z). The results show that the above parameters have great influence on these pressures and temperatures inside except that the pressures are insignificantly impacted by the superheating, and the temperatures are negligibly affected by the area ratio. 19Network Embedding Algorithm for Vulnerability Assessment of Power Transmission Lines Using Integrated Structure and Attribute Information显示文摘In power systems,failures of vulnerable lines can trigger large-scale cascading failures,and vulnerability assessment is dedicated to locating these lines and reducing the risks of such failures.Based on a structure and attribute network embedding(SANE)algorithm,a novel quantitative vulnerability analysis method is proposed to identify vulnerable lines in this research.First,a two-layered random walk network with topological and electrical properties of transmission lines is established.Subsequently,based on the weighted degree of nodes in the two-layered network,the inter-layer and intra-layer walking transition probabilities are developed to obtain walk sequences.Then,a Word2Vec algorithm is applied to obtain lowdimension vectors representing transmission lines,according to obtained walk sequences for calculating the vulnerability index of transmissions lines.Finally,the proposed method is compared with three widely used methods in two test systems.Results show the network embedding based method is superior to those comparison methods and can provide guidance for identifying vulnerable lines.Xianglong Lian Tong Qian Zepeng Li Xingyu Chen Wenhu Tang Q.H.Wu 2024CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2024,10,1:0
20Flow and Heat Transfer Instability of Supercritical Carbon Dioxide in a Vertical Heated Tube显示文摘Supercritical carbon dioxide(S-CO_(2))is one of the most promising working fluids in energy conversion systems.However,the instability of the flow and heat transfer has caused great harm to the security of energy conversion systems.In this work,a transient model based on the Finite Volume Method is set up to investigate the flow and heat transfer instability of CO_(2) changing from a subcritical state to a supercritical state in a vertical heated circular tube.The instability occurs when the wall heat flux is higher than a critical value,which makes the density and mass flow rate variations large enough.A large variation of the density triggers self-sustained oscillations in the flow.The critical heat flux heightens with the higher inlet pressure and pressure drop,larger tube diameter,and lower inlet temperature,but it reduces with the lengthening of the tube.To reflect the density-variation degree for the corresponding heat flux,a dimensionless number N_(tpc)=qπDL/Mβ_(pc)(p)/C_(p,pc)(p)(trans-pseudocritical number)is introduced.The critical trans-pseudocritical number Ntpc,c first goes up and down with the increase of the inlet pressure and the reduction of the inlet temperature.The rise of the mass flow rate,the shortening of the tube length,and the enlargement of the tube diameter all induce the temperature difference along the radial direction to become large.These tendencies make the critical Ntpc,c small.Consequently,the stability boundary N_(tpc,c)=48.47(N_(psc))^(1.048)(Δp∗)^(0.359)(D/L)^(−0.026)(G∗)^(−0.335)(ρ∗)^(2.666) is obtained to distinguish the regions of the flow and heat transfer stability and instability.WANG Zhibin LIANG Xingguang CHEN Ying LUO Xianglong 2023Journal of Thermal Science2023,32,4:0
