1Three-year results of small incision lenticule extraction and wavefront-guided femtosecond laser-assisted laser in situ keratomileusis for correction of high myopia and myopic astigmatism显示文摘AIM: To compare and calculate the 3-year refractive results, higher-order aberrations(HOAs), contrast sensitivity(CS) and dry eye parameters after small incision lenticule extraction(SMILE) and wavefront-guided femtosecond laser-assisted laser in situ keratomileusis(FS-LASIK) for correction of high myopia and myopic astigmatism.METHODS: In this prospective, non-randomized comparative study, 78 eyes with spherical equivalent(SE) of-8.11±1.09 diopters(D) received a SMILE surgery, and 65 eyes with SE of-8.05±1.12 D received a wavefront-guided FS-LASIK surgery with the Visu Max femtosecond laser(Carl Zeiss Meditec, Jena, Germany) for flap cutting. Visual acuity, manifest refraction, CS, HOAs, ocular surface disease index(OSDI) and tear break-up time(TBUT) were evaluated during a 3-year follow-up.RESULTS: The difference of uncorrected distance visual acuity(UDVA) postoperatively was achieved at 1 mo and at3 mo, whereas the difference of the mean UDVA between two groups at 3 y were not statistically significant(t=-1.59,P=0.13). The postoperative change of SE was 0.89 D in the FS-LASIK group(t=5.76, P=0.00), and 0.14 D in the SMILE group(t=0.54, P=0.59) from 1 mo to 3 y after surgery.At 3-year postoperatively, both HOAs and spherical aberrations in the SMILE group were obviously less than those in the FS-LASIK group(P=0.00), but the coma root mean square(RMS) was higher in the SMILE group(0.59±0.26) than in the FS-LASIK group(0.29±0.14, P=0.00).The mesopic CS values between two groups were not statistically significant at 3 y postoperatively. Comparedwith the FS-LASIK group, lower OSDI scores and longer TBUT values were found in the SMILE group at 1 mo and 3 mo postoperatively. With regard to safety, no eye lost any line of CDVA in both groups at 3 y after surgery. CONCLUSION: Both SMILE and wavefront-guided FSLASIK procedures provide good visual outcomes. 2Structure,rheology and electrospinning of zein and poly(ethylene oxide) in aqueous ethanol solutions显示文摘Electrospun fiber mats (EFM) integrated proteins and biocompatible polymers have been widely used as tissue scaffold, wound dressing and food packaging. The morphology of EFM has strong correlation with the structure and rheology of the solutions. We studied the structure and rheology of polyethylene oxide (PEO) and zein in 80% ethanol aqueous solutions and the resulted EFM. In solutions, zein with rod-like conformation tends to aggregate and form oligomer, the number of proteins in the oligomer spans from 2.5 to 55.2, while PEO always behaves like Gaussian chain in good solvent. Zein preferred to distribute along PEO chains in their mixed solutions, and the structures decomposed from small angle X-ray scattering have consistent relaxation spatial-temporal characteristics with rheological behaviors.Further, the aging of zein solutions enhanced shear thinning and resulted thicker fibers in EFM, which are attributed to the rod-like growth of zein aggregates. Aggregates in viscous media with long enough relaxation time are probably crucial for the formation of continuous electrospun fibers or ribbons. 3Direct power control for three-level PWM rectifier based on hysteresis strategy显示文摘This paper presents a mathematical model of three-level voltage PWM rectifier,and derives a power control model from the theory of instantaneous power.In the vector-space,the influences on instantaneous power exercised by all the switching vectors are studied and illustrated separately,then a direct power control(DPC) scheme for three-level PWM rectifier which uses multistage band hysteresis comparator is proposed,and a novel switching table is designed.Meanwhile,the neutralpoint voltage unbalance is inhibited by selecting the redundancy switching states of small voltage vectors.Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed strategy can not only stabilize the DC bus voltage but also realize the unity power factor operation and the balance of neutral-point voltage.Moreover,the proposed method can improve the performance of the three-level rectifier.SHI TingNa WANG Jian ZHANG Ce XIA ChangLiang 2012Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,11:5
4Comparison of intravitreal injection of conbercept and triamcinolone acetonide for macular edema secondary to branch retinal vein occlusion显示文摘AIM:To compare the safety and efficacy of the intravitreal injection of conbercept(IVC)and triamcinolone acetonide(IVTA)for macular edema(ME)secondary to branch retinal vein occlusion(BRVO).METHODS:A prospective,randomized clinical study.Patients with ME secondary to BRVO were randomly assigned to either IVC group or IVTA group at a ratio of 2:1 and a 12-month follow-up was performed.The efficacy outcome measures included the mean changes and differences in best corrected visual acuity(BCVA)and the central retinal thickness(CRT).The safety profiles and the mean retreatment intervals were also compared.RESULTS:There was no statistically significant difference of baseline between the two groups(IVC group,n=36;IVTA group,n=17).At 12mof the BCVA letters improved by 27.31±18.36 in the IVC group,and 13.53±11.37 in the IVTA group(P=0.0004).CRT reduction was 253.33±163.69 and 150.24±134.32 pm,respectively(P=0.0034).The mean BCVA in the IVC group was superior to that of the IVTA group for months 6-12(P<0.01).The mean CRT at 9 and 12mo were thinner in the IVC group compared to the IVTA group(P<0.01).The mean retreatment interval in the IVC group was longer than that in the IVTA group(97.40±36.27d vs 68.71±36.38d,P=0.0030).One eye in the IVC group and seven eyes in the IVTA group developed elevated intraocular pressure(IOP;P=0.0012).The proportion of eyes with cataract new-onset or progression were 19.44%in the IVC group and 64.71%in the IVTA group(P=0.0012).CONCLUSION:IVC could maintain or improve BCVA and reduce CRT for a longer time and have longer retreatment interval than IVTA.In addition,patients treated with IVTA are more susceptible to IOP elevation and cataract progression.Miao Zhao Ce Zhang Xi-Mei Chen Yan Teng Tian-Wei Shi Fei Liu 2020International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2020,13,11:4
5Machine learning helps improve diagnostic ability of subclinical keratoconus using Scheimpflug and OCT imaging modalities显示文摘Purpose:To develop an automated classification system using a machine learning classifier to distinguish clinically unaffected eyes in patients with keratoconus from a normal control population based on a combination of Scheimpflug camera images and ultra-high-resolution optical coherence tomography(UHR-OCT)imaging data.Methods:A total of 121 eyes from 121 participants were classified by 2 cornea experts into 3 groups:normal(50 eyes),with keratoconus(38 eyes)or with subclinical keratoconus(33 eyes).All eyes were imaged with a Scheimpflug camera and UHR-OCT.Corneal morphological features were extracted from the imaging data.A neural network was used to train a model based on these features to distinguish the eyes with subclinical keratoconus from normal eyes.Fisher’s score was used to rank the differentiable power of each feature.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves were calculated to obtain the area under the ROC curves(AUCs).Results:The developed classification model used to combine all features from the Scheimpflug camera and UHR-OCT dramatically improved the differentiable power to discriminate between normal eyes and eyes with subclinical keratoconus(AUC=0.93).The variation in the thickness profile within each individual in the corneal epithelium extracted from UHR-OCT imaging ranked the highest in differentiating eyes with subclinical keratoconus from normal eyes.Conclusion:The automated classification system using machine learning based on the combination of Scheimpflug camera data and UHR-OCT imaging data showed excellent performance in discriminating eyes with subclinical keratoconus from normal eyes.The epithelial features extracted from the OCT images were the most valuable in the discrimination process.This classification system has the potential to improve the differentiable power of subclinical keratoconus and the efficiency of keratoconus screening.Ce Shi Mengyi Wang Tiantian Zhu Ying Zhang Yufeng Ye Jun Jiang Sisi Chen Fan Lu Meixiao Shen 2020Eye and Vision2020,7,1:3
6Multiple active components synergistically driven heteroatom-doped porous carbon as high-performance counter electrode in dye-sensitized solar cells显示文摘A facile template-free in situ self-activation approach for the multiple active components synergistically driven porous carbon was presented via a feasible annealing process.The biomass-derived carbon without additional activation reagents was fabricated using K-rich pomelo peel(PP)as the carbon source,which possesses a high electric conductivity where abundant functional hetero-metal atoms are doped into the carbon framework that playing the role of catalytic graphitization.The K^+that exists within the biomass can induce self-activation during pyrolysis apart from the activating gases during the pyrolysis process.The resulting electrocatalyst of PP-850(PP was pyrolyzed at 850°C in an N_2atmosphere)with abundant heteroatoms possesses a higher power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 7.81%as the counter electrode(CE)of dye-sensitized solar cells(DSCs)compared with the CEs calcinated at other temperatures and a similar PCE with Pt counterpart(8.24%)based on the liquid I_3^-/I^-electrolyte.The better electrocatalytic performance is attributed to the synergistic effect between self-activation and the co-doping of nitrogen,sulfur and phosphorus all together in a carbon matrix.Due to the feasibility of large-scale production,rich heteroatom doping,the PP-derived carbon,which simplifies the procedure and decreases the cost,has a potential application for an alternative electrocatalyst for high-performance photovoltaic devices.Hongyu Jing Danyang Wu Suxia Liang Xuedan Song Yonglin An Ce Hao Yantao Shi 2019Journal of Energy Chemistry2019,28,4:2
7Optimal locating arrays for at most two faults显示文摘Locating arrays are of interest in generating software test suites to cover all t-way component interactions and locate interaction faults in component-based systems.Recently,Tang,Colbourn and Yin made an investigation into optimal locating arrays in the case where a single fault is to be located.They pointed out that when two or more faults were considered,matters would become rather complicated.To handle those cases generally seems challenging,but is well worth further research.In this paper,we establish a lower bound on the size of locating arrays with at most two faults,and then prove that optimal locating arrays meeting this bound can be equivalently characterized in terms of orthogonal arrays with prescribed properties.Using this characterization,we develop a number of constructions of optimal locating arrays.Two infinite series of optimal locating arrays are then obtained.SHI Ce TANG Yu YIN JianXing 2012Science China Mathematics2012,55,1:2
8Edge superconductivity in multilayer WTe2 Josephson junction显示文摘WTe2,as a type-ⅡWeyl semimetal,has 2D Fermi arcs on the(O01)surface in the bulk and 1D helical edge states in its monolayer.These features have recently attracted wide attention in condensed matter physics.However,in the intermediate regime between the bulk and monolayer,the edge states have not been resolved owing to its closed band gap which makes the bulk states dominant.Here,we report the signatures of the edge superconductivity by superconducting quantum interference measurements in multilayerWTe2 Josephson junctions and we directly map the localized supercurrent.In thickWTe(~60nm),the supercurrent is uniformly distributed by bulk states with symmetricJosephson effect(|Ic+(B)|=|Ic^-(B)|).In thin WTe2(10 nm),however,the supercurrent becomes confined to the edge and its width reaches up to 1.4μm and exhibits non-symmetric behavior|Ic^+(B)|≠|Ic^-(B)|.The ability to tune the edge domination by changing thickness and the edge superconductivity establishes WTez as a promising topological system with exotic quantum phases and a rich physics.Ce Huang Awadhesh Narayan Enze Zhang Xiaoyi Xie Linfeng Ai Shanshan Liu Changjiang Yi Youguo Shi Stefano Sanvito Faxian Xiu 2020National Science Review2020,7,9:2

10InSe/hBN/graphite heterostructure for high-performance 2D electronics and flexible electronics显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)materials as channel materials provide a promising alternative route for future electronics and flexible electronics,but the device performance is affected by the quality of interface between the 2D-material channel and the gate dielectric.Here we demonstrate an indium selenide(lnSe)/hexagonal boron nitride(hBN)/graphite heterostructure as a 2D field-effect transistor(FET),with InSe as channel material,hBN as dielectric,and graphite as gate.The fabricated FETs feature high electron mobility up to 1,146 cm2·V^-1·s^-1 at room temperature and on/off ratio up to 1010 due to the atomically flat gate dielectric.Integrated digital inverters based on InSe/hBN/graphite heterostructures are constructed by local gating modulation and an ultrahigh voltage gain up to 93.4 is obtained.Taking advantages of the mechanical flexibility of these materials,we integrated the heterostructured InSe FET on a flexible substrate,exhibiting little modification of device performance at a high strain level of up to 2%.Such high-performance heterostructured device configuration based on 2D materials provides a new way for future electronics and flexible electronics.Liangmei Wu Jinan Shi Zhang Zhou Jiahao Yan Aiwei Wang Ce Bian Jiajun Ma Ruisong Ma Hongtao Liu Jiancui Chen Yuan Huang Wu Zhou Lihong Bao Min Ouyang Sokrates T.Pantelides Hong-Jun Gao 2020Nano Research2020,13,4:1
11Molten salt as ultrastrong polar solvent enables the most straightforward pyrolysis towards highly efficient and stable single-atom electrocatalyst显示文摘Currently,pyrolysis as the most widely used method still has some key issues not well resolved for synthesis of carbon-supported single-atom catalysts(C-SACs),e.g.,the sintering of metal atoms at high temperature as well as the high cost and complicated preparations of precursors.In this report,molten salts are demonstrated to be marvellous medium for preparation of C-SACs by pyrolysis of small molecular precursors(ionic liquid).The ultrastrong polarity on one hand establishes robust interaction with precursor and enables better carbonization,resulting in largely enhanced yield.On the other hand,the aggregation of metal atoms is effectively refrained while no nanoparticle or cluster is formed.By this strategy,a C-SAC with atomically dispersed Fe-N_(4) sites and a high specific area over 2000 m^(2) g^(-1) is obtained,which illustrates high ORR activity in both acid and alkaline media.Moreover,this SAC exhibits superior methanol tolerance and stability after acid soaking at 85℃ for 48 h.It is believed that the molten-salts-assisted pyrolysis can be developed into a routine strategy as it not only can largely simply the synthesis of C-SACs,but also can be extended to prepare other types of SACs.Nannan Li Wei Liu Chao Zhu Ce Hao Jingya Guo Hongyu Jing Jinwen Hu Cuncun Xin Danyang Wu Yantao Shi 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,3:1
12A female in vivo haploid-induction system via mutagenesis of egg cell-specific peptidases显示文摘Crop breeding schemes can be significantly accelerated by using(doubled)haploid plants.In vivo haploid induction has been applied in plant breeding for decades but is still not available for all crops and genotypes,and haploidization rates are generally very low.Therefore,methodological improvements to and new concepts for haploidization are required.Here,we report a novel system for the induction of haploid plants by mutating genes encoding egg cell-specific aspartic endopeptidases(ECSs).We show that after successful sperm–egg cell fusion,ECSs play a critical role to ensure male and female nucleus fusion after fertilization.The ecs1 ecs2 double mutant can induce haploids by both selfing and hybridization in Arabidopsis and ECS mutation is also capable of producing haploids in rice.In summary,our study develops a novel approach for maternal haploidization and provides new insights into the molecular basis of fertilization.Xuecheng Zhang Ce Shi Siling Li Bo Zhang Pan Luo Xiongbo Peng Peng Zhao Thomas Dresselhaus Meng-Xiang Sun 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,2:1

15Competing reduction induced homogeneous oxygen doping to unlock MoS_(2)basal planes for faster polysulfides conversion显示文摘The parasitic polysulfides shuttle effect greatly hinders the practical application of lithium sulfur batteries,and this issue can be addressed by promoting polysulfides conversion with catalytic materials such as Mo S_(2).However,the catalytic activity of Mo S_(2)mainly relies on edge sites,but is limited by inert basal planes.We herein report a novel,facile,ethylene glycol enabled competing reduction strategy to dope Mo S_(2)homogeneously with oxygen atoms so that its inert basal planes can be unlocked.Ethylene glycol works as a reducing agent and competes with thiourea to react with ammonium molybdate,leading to insufficient sulfuration of Mo,and consequent formation of O-Mo S_(2).Our theoretical and experimental investigations indicate that the homogeneously distributed O dopants can create abundant adsorption/-catalytic sites in the Mo S_(2)basal planes,enlarge the inter-plane distance to promote ion transport,and thus enhance the catalytic conversion of polysulfides.The oxygen doped Mo S_(2)(O-Mo S_(2))is supported on carbon nanosheets(CNS)and the composite(O-Mo S_(2)/CNS)is employed to modify the separator of Li-S battery.It gives the battery an initial discharge capacity of 1537 m Ah g-1at 0.2 C,and the battery retains a discharge capacity of 545 m Ah g-1after ultra-long 2000 cycles at 1 C,corresponding to a very small cyclic decay rate of 0.0237%.Even under a raising sulfur loading of 8.2 mg cm^(-2),the Li-S battery also delivers a high discharge capacity(554 m Ah g^(-1))with outstanding cycle stability(84.6%capacity retention)after 100 cycles at 0.5 C.Our work provides a novel,facile approach to fabricate highly catalytically active oxygen-doped Mo S_(2)for advanced Li-S batteries.Da Lei Wenzhe Shang Xu Zhang Yongpeng Li Xiaoshan Shi Shaoming Qiao Qian Wang Qiang Zhang Ce Hao Hui Xu Guohua Chen Gaohong He Fengxiang Zhang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,10:1
16Optimum Detecting Arrays for Independent Interaction Faults显示文摘The use of detecting arrays(DTAs) is motivated by the need to locate and detect interaction faults arising between the factors in a component-based system in software testing.The optimality and construction of DTAs have been investigated in depth for the case in which all the interaction faults are assumed to have the same strength;however,as a practical concern,the strengths of these faults are not always identical.For real world applications,it would be desirable for a DTA to be able to identify and detect faulty interactions of a strength equal to or less than a specified value under the assumption that the faulty interactions are independent from one another.To the best of our knowledge,the optimality and construction of DTAs for independent interaction faults have not been studied systematically before.In this paper,we establish a general lower bound on the size of DTAs for independent interaction faults and explore the combinatorial feature that enable these DTAs to meet the lower bound.Taking advantage of this combinatorial characterization,several classes of optimum DTAs meeting the lower bound are presented.Ce SHI Cheng Min WANG 2016Acta Mathematica Sinica,English Series2016,32,2:1

18Inter-visit measurement variability of conjunctival vasculature and circulation in habitual contact lens wearers and non-lens wearers显示文摘Background:The inter-visit variation of measuring bulbar conjunctival microvasculature and microcirculation needs to be considered when the results from multiple visits are interpreted.This study examined the inter-visit variability of measuring conjunctival microvasculature and microcirculation in habitual contact lens(HCL)wearers and non-contact lens(NCL)wearers.Methods:Twenty-eight subjects were recruited including 13 HCL wearers(10 females and 3 males;mean age±standard deviation,25.8±4.6 years)who had worn contact lenses on a daily basis for at least 3 years and 15 NCL wearers(10 females and 5 males,age 25.5±4.0 years)were recruited.The temporal bulbar conjunctiva was imaged using a functional slit-lamp bio-microscope(FSLB)imaging system.FSLB imaging was performed in the morning when the HCL wearers did not wear their lenses.The measurements included conjunctival vessel diameter,vessel density,blood flow velocity and flow volume.In addition,conjunctival microvasculature was analyzed using monofractal(Dbox,representing vessel density)and multifractal(D0 representing vessel complexity)analyses.The repeated measurement was conducted at least one week after the first visit and both eyes of each participant were imaged.The coefficient of variation(CV)was calculated as the standard deviation of the differences between test and re-test then divided by the mean of the measurements.The intra-class correlation coefficient(ICC)was also calculated.Results:No significant differences of all vascular measurements in both the right and left eyes were found between two groups(P>0.05).Between two measurements on two different visits,the CV was from 2.4%(vessel density D0)to 63.5%(blood flow volume Q)in HCL wearers and from 3.4%(D0)to 40.6%(blood flow volume)in NCL wearers.The ICC was from 0.60(vessel diameter)to 0.81(axial blood flow velocity VA)in HCL wearers and from 0.44(Q)to 0.68(cross-sectional blood flow velocity VS)in NCL wearers.Conclusions:The measurement variability of the vessel density of the bulbar conjunctiva appeared to have the smallest inter-visit variation.The measurement variability of the vasculature and circulation in HCL wearers were similar to that in NCL wearers.Jianhua Wang Liang Hu Ce Shi Hong Jiang 2019Eye and Vision2019,6,1:1
19Microcirculation in the conjunctiva and retina in healthy subjects显示文摘Background:The aim was to determine the relationship between bulbar conjunctival microcirculation and retinal microcirculation in a healthy population.Method:A functional slit-lamp biomicroscope(FSLB)was used to measure blood flow velocity(BFV)and blood flow rate(BFR)in the conjunctiva while a retinal function imager(RFI)was used to measure macular BFV and BFR in the retina.One eye of each subject of 58 self-reported healthy subjects was imaged in the same session on the same day.Results:The mean BFV in the venules of the conjunctiva was 0.49±0.13 mm/s,which was significantly slower than that in the retinal arterioles(3.71±0.78 mm/s,P<0.001)and retinal venules(2.98±0.58 mm/s,P<0.001).The BFR in the conjunctiva(0.09 nl/s)was also significantly lower than that in the retina(arterioles=0.81 nl/s,venules=0.68 nl/s,all P<0.001).The BFVs and BFRs were not related between the conjunctiva and retina(r ranged from−0.17 to−0.05,all P>0.05).Conclusion:The microcirculation in the retina appeared to be different from that in the conjunctiva.Ce Shi Hong Jiang Giovana Rosa Gameiro Jianhua Wang 2019Eye and Vision2019,6,1:1
