1Clinical evaluation of serum interleukin 10 in patients with acute pancreatitis显示文摘OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the behavior of serum interleukin 10 (IL-10) in patients with acutepancreatitis and to explore the relationship between this cytokine and the severity of the disease.METHODS: In 45 patients with acute pancreatitis, the serum concentrations of IL-10 was determinedon days 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 after admission. Twelve healthy subjects were also studied as controls. Thesesubjects were tested using a commercial ELISA kit. The severity of pancreatitis was determined accordingto APACHE Ⅱ score and Balthazar CT criteria.RESULTS: Healthy subjects had no detectable serum levels of IL-10. In acute pancreatitis patients,the serum IL-10 levels were increased on the first day after the onset of the disease and then progressivelydecreased in the following days. On the first day after the onset of acute pancreatitis, the serum levelsof IL-10 in patients with mild acute pancreatitis were significantly higher than in those with severe acutepancreatitis. In the following days, however, no statistically significant difference was observed betweenthe two groups.CONCLUSIONS: Serum IL-10 concentration reflects the severity of acute pancreatitis. IL-10 is a usefulvariable for early prediction of the prognosis of acute pancreatitis. The low values of serum IL-10 inpatients with severe acute pancreatitis suggests that there may be altered down-regulation of immunesystem response. 2The fluxes and controlling factors of N_2O and CH_4 emissions from freshwater marsh in Northeast China显示文摘Nitrous oxide (N2O) and methane (CH4) emissions were measured using a static chamber method in two adjacent plots of freshwater marsh predominated by Calamagrostis angustifolia, one is seasonal waterlogged (SW) and the other without surface water accumulation (NW), in Sanjiang Plain wetland (47°35′N, 133°31′E), northeast China, during 2002-2004. The diurnal and seasonal flux variations of both gases were significantly correlated with 5-cm-soil temperature. The NW marsh is a source of N2O and sink of CH4, while the SW marsh is sink of N2O and source of CH4. Remarkably, we observed a N2O emission peak under Eh of +300 to +100 mV, and CH4 emission peak under Eh of +300 to +400 mV, which indicate additional sources of N2O and CH4 for the freeze-thaw induced emission peaks of N2O and CH4 observed between late July and early August. 3Hydrothermal Synthesis and Characterization of a Novel Supramolecular Network Compound [Co(IN)_2(H_2O)_4](IN=Isonicotinate)显示文摘A novel supramolecular compound, [Co(IN)2(H2O)4](1), was synthesized by means of the hydrothermal method and its structure was characterized with elemental analysis, FT-IR spectrum, TGA and X-ray diffraction. 4Generality and characteristics of genetic and epigenetic changes in newly synthesized allotetraploid wheat lines显示文摘Previous studies have shown rapid and extensive genomic instability associated with early stages of allopolyploidization in wheat.However,these studies are based on either a few pre-selected genomic loci or genome-wide analysis of a single plant individual for a given cross combination,thus making the extent and generality of the changes uncertain.To further study the generality and characteristics of allopolyploidization-induced genomic instability in wheat,we investigated genetic and epigenetic changes from a genome-wide perspective(by using the AFLP and MSAP markers) in four sets of newly synthesized allotetraploid wheat lines with various genome constitutions,each containing three randomly chosen individual plants at the same generation.We document that although general chromosomal stability was characteristic of all four sets of allotetraploid wheat lines,genetic and epigenetic changes at the molecular level occurred in all these plants,with both kinds of changes classifiable into two distinct categories,i.e.,stochastic and directed.The abundant type of genetic change is loss of parental bands while the prevalent cytosine methylation pattern alteration is hypermethylation at the CHG sites.Our results have extended previous studies regarding allopolyploidization-induced genomic dynamics in wheat by demonstrating the generality of both genetic and epigenetic changes associated with multiple nascent allotetraploid wheat lines,and providing novel insights into the characteristics of the two kinds of induced genomic instabilities.Bao Qi 1,Xiaofang Zhong 1,Bo Zhu,Na Zhao,Liying Xu,Huakun Zhang,Xiaoming Yu,Bao Liu Key Laboratory of Molecular Epigenetics of MOE and Institute of Genetics & Cytology,Northeast Normal University,Changchun 130024,China 2010Journal of Genetics and Genomics2010,37,11:5
5Comparison of physiological responses to oxidative and heavy metal stress in seedlings of rice paddy, Oryza sativa L.显示文摘Physiological responses on the bases of activities of antioxidant enzymes: peroxidase, catalase, superoxide dismutase and glutathione reductase as well as estimation of total protein, lipid peroxidation and thiols in the form of protein, non\|protein, glutathione and phytochelatin measured in growing seedlings of paddy, Oryza sativa L., from day 2 to 8 were compared following treatment of seeds for 5h with oxidative agents, paraquat 5 × 10 -5 , 10 -4 , 10 -3 mol/L, H 2O 2 10 -3 , 5×10 -3 , 10 -2 mol/L, and CdCl 2 10 -5 , 10 -4 , 5×10 -3 mol/L. A significant induction of all antioxidant enzymes along with an increase in the levels of protein, lipid peroxidation and glutathione was noted in response to oxidative stress, CdCl 2 induced significant peroxidase and catalase activities but not superoxide dismutase. In a marked contrast from oxidative stress, CdCl 2 decreased glutathione reductase activity as well as glutathione levels but increased phytochelatin level. 6Computer Controlled Polishing of the Off-axis Aspheric Mirrors显示文摘In this paper, the manufacturing and testing procedures to make large off-axis aspherical mirrors are presented. The difficulties in polishing and testing for both circular aperture and rectangular aperture mirrors are previewed, and a possible solution is given. The two mirrors have been polished by means of CCOS, and the final accuracy is 25nm rms for 770mm×210mm rectangular mirror and 20nm rms for φ600mm circular mirror. 8STUDY ON ELECTRORHEOLOGICAL FLUID DAMPER FOR APPLICATION IN MACHINING CHATTER CONTROL显示文摘The electrorheological fluid(ERF)is a kind of intelligent material with bright prospects for industry applications, which has viscoelastic characteristic under the applied electric field. The dynamic model of a milling system with an ERF damper is established, and the chatter suppression mechanism of the ER effect is discussed theoretically. Both the theoretical study and the experimental investigation show that the additional damping and additional stiffness produced by the ERF increase with the rise in the strength of electric field E, but their influence on the cutting stability is different. Only when both additional damping and additional stiffness cooperate, the milling chatter can be suppressed quickly and effectively. In additional, an ERF damper used on the arbor of horizontal spindle milling machine is developed, and a series of milling chatter control experiments are performed. 9Multiscale modeling of mechanical behavior and failure mechanism of 3D angle-interlock woven aluminum composites subjected to warp/weft directional tension loading显示文摘The mechanical behavior and progressive damage mechanism of novel aluminum matrix composites reinforced with 3D angle-interlock woven carbon fibers were investigated using a multiscale modeling approach.The mechanical properties and failure of yarns were evaluated using a microscale model under different loading scenarios.On this basis,a mesoscale model was developed to analyze the tensile behavior and failure mechanism of the composites.The interfacial decohesion,matrix damage,and failure of fibers and yarns were incorporated into the microscopic and mesoscopic models.The stress–strain curves and fracture modes from simulation show good agreement with the experimental curves and fracture morphology.Local interface and matrix damage initiate first under warp directional tension.Thereafter,interfacial failure,weft yarn cracking,and matrix failure occur successively.Axial fracture of warp yarn,which displays a quasi-ductile fracture characteristic,dominates the ultimate composites failure.Under weft directional tension,interfacial failure and warp yarn rupture occur at the early and middle stages.Matrix failure and weft yarn fracture emerge simultaneously at the final stage,leading to the cata-strophic failure of composites.The weft directional strength and fracture strain are lower than the warp directional ones because of the lower weft density and the more serious brittle fracture of weft yarns.Zhenjun WANG Siyuan YANG Shiping SUN Yingfeng ZHANG Changchun CAI Bowen XIONG Wei YANG Zhifeng XU Huan YU 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,8:4

11Modeling and understanding of the frequency dependent HPM upset susceptibility of the CMOS inverter显示文摘In this paper, we interpret and, for the first time, model a frequency dependent high-power microwave(HPM) upset susceptibility. We constructed the analytical models of the total amount of injected charges N inj, the excess carrier density distribution in P-Substrate, and the frequency dependent HPM upset susceptibility level. The models are validated by simulated results and experimental data, respectively. Results reveal that N inj is proportional to fαwhile the exponent α should be adjusted to-0.525. The excess carrier density distribution behaves the frequency dependence as well; the dependence is attributable to the fact that the AC field within the CMOS inverter varies too rapidly for the carriers to follow at high frequency. Meanwhile,the HPM upset susceptibility level is a decreasing function of f. The f dependent HPM upset susceptibility model is verified to be reliable and able to quickly estimate the susceptibility level of CMOS inverter considering IC technology, layout parameters, pulse properties, and operating environment simultaneously. Besides, the empirical formula P = A · fαis proposed to provide instant estimation to the HPM upset power threshold. 12A New Type of Polymer-Supported Metallocene Catalyst for Ethylene Polymerization显示文摘A new polymer-supported metallocene catalyst has been prepared. The polymer- supported metallocene displayed considerably high activity in ethylene polymerization, the highest being 3.62(107gPE/molZr(h, the molecular weight of the polyethylene produced was Mn = 1.29(105, about 3-4 times those of corresponding homogeneous zirconocenes. 13Challenges and needs for China to eliminate rabies显示文摘In China,rabies is a significant public health concern where dogs remain the main reservoir of disease transmission to humans;rabies-related mortality ranks second in the world.We compiled all published articles and official documents on rabies in China's Mainland to examine challenges and needs to eliminate rabies in the country.The Chinese authorities have identified rabies as a priority,recognized rabies control in dogs as key to control rabies in humans and required intersectoral collaborations.Efforts have been made to respond effectively to the latest re-emergence of rabies,which peaked in 2007 with>3,300 cases.Despite these outcomes and the increasing volume of publications and regulations in the recent years,our review points to some major information gaps to improve rabies control activities and envisage elimination program.An emphasis on laboratory or pathogen-associated and basic epidemiology research in the literature has contrasted with the absence of information to monitor various systems in humans and animals(e.g.quality of surveillance,response and post-exposure prophylaxis).Information is also lacking to appropriately inform policymakers(e.g.economic disease burden,impact of policies)and assist program managers(e.g.comprehensive and strategic guidance for cost-effective prevention and control activities,public education and dog population management).In conclusion,strategic planning is needed to provide a sense of direction,demonstrate feasibility of elimination in China,and develop a research agenda,addressing country’s operational needs and constraints.The planning should be a multisectoral effort.Wenwu Yin Jie Dong Changchun Tu John Edwards Fusheng Guo Hang Zhou Hongjie Yu Sirenda Vong 2013Infectious Diseases of Poverty2013,2,1:3
14High-resolution azimuth estimation algorithm based on data fusion method for the vector hydrophone vertical array显示文摘To aim at the problem that the horizontal directivity index of the vector hydrophone vertical array is not higher than that of a vector hydrophone,the high-resolution azimuth estimation algorithm based on the data fusion method was presented.The proposed algorithm first employs MUSIC algorithm to estimate the azimuth of each divided sub-band signal,and then the estimated azimuths of multiple hydrophones are processed by using the data fusion technique.The high-resolution estimated result is achieved finally by adopting the weighted histogram statistics method.The results of the simulation and sea trials indicated that the proposed algorithm has better azimuth estimation performance than MUSIC algorithm of a single vector hydrophone and the data fusion technique based on the acoustic energy flux method.The better performance is reflected in the aspects of the estimation precision,the probability of correct estimation,the capability to distinguish multi-objects and the inhibition of the noise sub-bands.CHEN Yu MENG Zhou MA Shuqing BAO Changchun 2015Chinese Journal of Acoustics2015,34,3:3
15LAND RECLAMATION PROCESS IN NORTHEAST CHINA SINCE 1900显示文摘Northeast China is an important agricultural region in China. The No rtheast Plain is the largest plain in the country and one of the three famous bl ack soil zones in the world. Despite of fertility of the soil, however, large-s cale agricultural development mainly took place since 1900. The land exploitatio n and utilization has been fast and intensive in this region since then and chan ge in the land-cover process has been remarkable. Both national and internation al researchers on land use and land cover are paying more attention to these pro cesses in this region and their implication for local ecological environment. Th is article discusses the land reclamation processes and their main driving force s in Northeast China since 1900. According to the research, the 20th century was the most important period for land reclamation in Northeast China. In these yea rs the rate, intensity and quantity of land reclamation have been staggering, an d more than 100 000km2 of land was converted into farmland. This magnitude of la nd reclamation inland is unique in the world. Research on the land reclamation o f Northeast China can provide some data on the effect of human activity on envir onment. As in many other places in the world, the primary driving force of recla mation in Northeast China was the increasing pressure of population. In the 20th century the population increased from 10×106 to 110×106 in Northeast China an d from 400×106 to 1.3×109 in China. 16Landscape planning and ecology construction of wetland comprehensive protected area system in the Sanjiang Plain显示文摘Wetland is one of the richest biodiversity areas in the earth. The main purpose of establishing wetland protected area is to protect biodiversity, and the protection of ecosystem diversity and landscape diversity is the key to protect biodiversity. In order to protect regional ecosystem and landscape, it is a good way to establish wetland comprehensive protected area which connected wetland nature reserves by habitat corridors. 17CSF-Based Analysis for Identification of Potential Serum Biomarkers of Neural Tube Defects显示文摘The protein composition of cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) in neural tube defects(NTDs) remains unknown. We investigated the protein composition of CSF from 9 infants with NTDs using isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation(iTRAQ). We identified 568 proteins in the CSF of infants with spina bifida, which is the most common type of NTD. Among these, 18 proteins were associated with neural tube closure in the CSF during human embryonic neurulation and 5 were involved in NTDs. Based on these results, an animal model was further utilized to investigate early serum biomarkers for NTDs.We found that the myristoylated alanine-rich C-kinase substrate, Kunitz-type protease inhibitor 2, andapolipoprotein B-100 protein levels were decreased in both embryos and the sera of pregnant Sprague-Dawley rats carrying embryos with NTDs.
