| 3 | Necessity and feasibility of improving the residual resistance factor of polymer flooding in heavy oil reservoirs显示文摘The efficiency of water flooding in heavy oil reservoirs would be improved by increasing the viscosity of the displacing phase, but the sweep efficiency is not of significance due to the low mobility of the vicious oil. On the basis of mobility control theory, increasing the residual resistance factor not only reduces the water-oil mobility ratio but also decreases the requirement for viscosity enhancement of the polymer solution. The residual resistance factor caused by hydrophobic associating polymer solution is higher than that caused by polyacrylamide solution in brine containing high concentrations of calcium and magnesium ions. The results of numerical simulations show that the polymer flooding efficiency improved by increasing the residual resistance factor is far better than that by only increasing solution viscosity. The recovery factor of heavy oil reservoirs (70 mPa·s) can be enhanced by hydrophobic associating polymer solution of high residual resistance factor (more than 3) and high effective viscosity (24 mPa·s). | 5 | Trabecular-like Ti-6Al-4V scaffolds for orthopedic: fabrication by selective laser melting and in vitro biocompatibility显示文摘Porous metal scaffolds play an important role in the orthopedic field, due to their wide applications in prostheses implantation. Some previous studies showed that the scaffolds with trabecular bone structure reconstructed via computed tomography had satisfactory biocompatibility. However, the reverse modeling scaffolds were inflexible for customized design. Therefore, a top-down designing biomimetic bone scaffold with favorable mechanical performances and cytocompatibility is urgently demanded for orthopedic implants. An emerging additive manufacturing technique, selective laser melting, was employed to fabricate the trabecular-like porous Ti-6Al-4 V scaffolds with varying irregularities(0.05-0.5) and porosities(48.83%–74.28%) designed through a novel Voronoi-Tessellation based method. Micro-computed tomography and scanning electron microscopy were used to characterize the scaffolds’ morphology.Quasi-static compression tests were performed to evaluate the scaffolds’ mechanical properties. The MG63 cells culture in vitro experiments, including adhesion, proliferation, and differentiation, were conducted to study the cytocompatibility of scaffolds. Compressive tests of scaffolds revealed an apparent elastic modulus range of 1.93–5.24 GPa and an ultimate strength ranging within 44.9–237.5 MPa, which were influenced by irregularity and porosity, and improved by heat treatment. Furthermore, the in vitro assay suggested that the original surface of the SLM-fabricated scaffolds was favorable for osteoblasts adhesion and migration because of micro scale pores and ravines. The trabecular-like porous scaffolds with full irregularity and higher porosity exhibited enhanced cells proliferation and osteoblast differentiation at earlier time, due to their preferable combination of small and large pores with various shapes. | 6 | Layer-by-layer deposition of bioactive layers on magnesium alloy stent materials to improve corrosion resistance and biocompatibility显示文摘Magnesium alloy is considered as one of the ideal cardiovascular stent materials owing to its good mechanical properties and biodegradability.However,the in vivo rapid degradation rate and the insufficient biocompatibility restrict its clinical applications.In this study,the magnesium alloy(AZ31B)was modified by combining the surface chemical treatment and in-situ self-assembly of 16-phosphonyl-hexadecanoic acid,followed by the immobilization of chitosan-functionalized graphene oxide(GOCS).Heparin(Hep)and GOCS were alternatively immobilized on the GOCS-modified surface through layer by layer(LBL)to construct the GOCS/Hep bioactive multilayer coating,and the corrosion resistance and biocompatibility were extensively explored.The results showed that the GOCS/Hep bioactive multilayer coating can endow magnesium alloys with an excellent in vitro corrosion resistance.The GOCS/Hep multilayer coating can significantly reduce the hemolysis rate and the platelet adhesion and activation,resulting in an excellent blood compatibility.In addition,the multilayer coating can not only enhance the adhesion and proliferation of the endothelial cells,but also promote the vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and nitric oxide(NO)expression of the attached endothelial cells on the surfaces.Therefore,the method of the present study can be used to simultaneously control the corrosion resistance and improve the biocompatibility of the magnesium alloys,which is expected to promote the application of magnesium alloys in biomaterials or medical devices,especially cardiovascular stent. | Fan Gao Youdong Hu Guicai Li Sen Liu Li Quan Zhongmei Yang Yanchun Wei Changjiang Pan | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,3: | 12 |

| 9 | The study on the safety and efficacy of amnion graft for preventing the recurrence of moderate to severe intrauterine adhesions显示文摘Transcervical resection of adhesion(TCRA)is the standard treatment for the intrauterine adhesions,but the recurrence of adhesions is a tough problem for the gynecologist.In addition,the therapeutic strategy after TCRA about prevention of recurrence remains controversial especially for the patients with moderate to severe intrauterine adhesions(IUAs).Hence,we designed this study to explore the safety and efficacy of fresh amnion grafts for preventing the recurrence after TCRA for patients with moderate to severe IUAs.One hundred patients with moderate to severe IUAs who presented with a history of hypomenorrhea,amenorrhea and infertility were included in the study from January 2015 to December 2017.Patients were divided into amnion group(52 patients)and chitosan group(48 patients).Fresh amnion grafts or intrauterine injections of chitosan were administered after TCRA.Transvaginal ultrasonography(TVUS)and hysteroscopy were performed at the first and third month after the operation.The surgical procedures for all patients were completed successfully without relevant complications.In amnion group,8 patients exhibited relapse in the first month and 2 patients in three months after surgery;in chitosan group,23 women exhibited relapse in the first month and 18 patients in three months after surgery.Statistical analysis revealed that the recurrence rate of adhesion in amnion group was significantly lower than those of chitosan group in the first and three months after surgery(P1=0.000,P2=0.000).After TCRA,fresh amnion graft plays a significant role in preventing further adhesions than injections of chitosan. | Changjiang Li Aiqi Cai Congcong Sun Benyuan Wu Xinpei Chen Yanhua Mao Yingfeng Zhang Yating Gou Jie Yu Yuhan Wang Huanhuan Yu Jia Wang | 2020 | Genes & Diseases2020,7,2: | 11 |

| 11 | A transgene-free method for rapid and efficient generation of precisely edited pigs without monoclonal selection显示文摘Gene-edited pigs for agricultural and biomedical applications are typically generated using somatic cell nuclear transfer(SCNT).However, SCNT requires the use of monoclonal cells as donors, and the time-consuming and laborious monoclonal selection process limits the production of large populations of gene-edited animals. Here, we developed a rapid and efficient method named RE-DSRNP(reporter RNA enriched dual-sg RNA/CRISPR-Cas9 ribonucleoproteins) for generating gene-edited donor cells. RE-DSRNP takes advantage of the precise and efficient editing features of dual-sg RNA and the high editing efficiency, low off-target effects, transgene-free nature, and low cytotoxic characteristics of reporter RNA enriched RNPs(CRISPR-Cas9ribonucleoproteins), thus eliminating the need for the selection of monoclonal cells and thereby greatly reducing the generation time of donor cells from 3–4 weeks to 1 week, while also reducing the extent of apoptosis and chromosomal aneuploidy of donor cells. We applied RE-DSRNP to produce cloned pigs bearing a deletion edit of the wild-type p53-induced phosphatase 1(WIP1)gene: among 32 weaned cloned pigs, 31(97%) carried WIP1 edits, and 15(47%) were homozygous for the designed fragment deletion, and no off-target event was detected. The WIP1 knockout(KO) pigs exhibited male reproductive disorders, illustrating the utility of RE-DSRNP for rapidly generating precisely edited animals for functional genomics and disease research. | 16 | The noble gas isotope geochemical composition of chert at the bottom of Cambrian in Tarim Basin,China显示文摘In the Tarim Basin,black shale series at the bottom of Cambrian is one of the important marine facies hydrocarbon source rocks. This research focuses on the analysis of the isotope of noble gas of 11 cherts. The R/Ra ratio of chert in the Keping area is 0.032―0.319,and 40Ar/36Ar is 338―430. In Quruqtagh the R/Ra ratio is 0.44―10.21,and 40Ar/36Ar is 360―765. The R/Ra ratio of chert increases with 40Ar/36Ar from the west to the east accordingly. They have evolved from the crust source area to the mantle source area in a direct proportion. Surplus argon 40ArE in chert is in direct proportion to the R/Ra ratio,indicating that it has the same origin of excess argon as in fluid and mantle source helium. Comparison of the R/Ra ratios between the west and the east shows that the chert in the eastern part formed from the activity system of the bottom hydrothermal venting driven by the mantle source,where the material and energy of crust and mantle had a strong interaction in exchange;whereas in the western part,chert deposited from the floating of hydrothermal plume undersea bottom,which is far away from the centre of activities of the hydrothermal fluid of ocean bottom. | 18 | Plant crop remains from the outer burial pit of the Han Yangling Mausoleum and their significance to Early Western Han agriculture显示文摘A large amount of carbonized plant remains were discovered in one of the outer burial pits of the Han Yangling Mausoleum, which was built more than 2000 years ago for the Jing Emperor, Liu, Qi (188―141 cal a BC), the fourth emperor of the Western Han Dynasty. The remains are identified by phytolith analysis and macrofossil morphological features. Seeds from foxtail millet (Setaria italica), broomcorn millet (Panicum miliaceum), rice (Oryza sativa) and chenopod (possible Chenopodium giganteum) are identified, suggesting that these four crops might have been the staple plant foods in the capital area (Guanzhong area), Shaanxi Province during the Early Western Han Dynasty. Chenopods were often considered as weeds since they have only been rarely found as carbonized seeds in prehistoric sites. This is the first time such a large amount of seeds has been found at a site, which provides strong material evidence for chenopod cultivation with a long history in China. Wheat was thought to be promoted and popularized in the Guanzhong area since the Wu Emporor, Liu, Che (156―87 cal a BC), the fifth emperor of the Western Han Dynasty. | 19 | Water,organic matter,nitrogen and phosphorus contents in sediment of a large-scale mariculture area in the Zhelin Bay of eastern Guangdong Province,China显示文摘The Zhelin Bay is one of the most important bays for large-scale mariculture in Guangdong Province, China. Owing to the increasing human population and the expanding mariculture in the last two decades, the ecological environment has greatly changed with frequent harmful algal blooms. A monthly survey of water content, organic matter (TOM), and various forms of nitrogen and phosphorous in sediment from July 2002 to July 2003 in the bay was conducted. The results showed that the water content was correlated significantly with TOM and various forms of nitrogen and phosphorus and can be used as proxy for quick and rough estimate of these factors in the future surveys. TOM was also correlated significantly with various forms of nitrogen and phosphorus, indicating that it was one of the key factors affecting the concentrations and distributions of nitrogen and phosphorus in the investigated waters. Average total Kjeldhal nitrogen (TkN) content was(1 113.1±382.5)μg/g and average total phosphorus (TP) content was(567.2±223.3)μg/g, and both were much higher than those of similar estuaries in China and elsewhere. Average nitrogen and phosphorus tended to be higher inside than outside the bay, higher at aquaculture than non-aquaculture areas, and higher at fish-cage culture than oyster culture areas, suggesting that large-scale mariculture inside the bay played an important role in the eutrophication of the Zhelin Bay. Various forms of nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations were higher during the warm season (July—September), which was due to the increased decomposition and concentration of organic matter resulted from the fast growth and high mortality of the cultured species. Compared with July 2002, TkN and TP contents were much higher in July 2003, in consonance with the eutrophication of the Zhelin Bay. Because exchangeable phosphorus (Ex-P), iron-bounded phosphorus (Fe-P) and organic phosphorus (OP) combined accounted for 34.3% of the TP and authigenic phosphorus (Au-P) accounted for 49.2% of the TP, biological phosphorus (BP) that includes Ex-P, Fe-P, OP, and a portion of Au-P, thus accounted for 34.3% to 83.5% of the TP in the Zhelin Bay, which was within the percentage range, but with a high absolute value among the estuaries. Au-P was the most important species of phosphorus and accounted for 49.2% of the TP during the investigation.
