| 2 | Recently duplicated sesterterpene(C25) gene clusters in Arabidopsis thaliana modulate root microbiota显示文摘Land plants co-speciate with a diversity of continually expanding plant specialized metabolites(PSMs) and root microbial communities(microbiota).Homeostatic interactions between plants and root microbiota are essential for plant survival in natural environments.A growing appreciation of microbiota for plant health is fuelling rapid advances in genetic mechanisms of controlling microbiota by host plants.PSMs have long been proposed to mediate plant and single microbe interactions.However,the effects of PSMs,especially those evolutionarily new PSMs,on root microbiota at community level remain to be elucidated.Here,we discovered sesterterpenes in Arabidopsis thaliana,produced by recently duplicated prenyltransferase-terpene synthase(PT-TPS) gene clusters,with neo-functionalization.A single-residue substitution played a critical role in the acquisition of sesterterpene synthase(sesterTPS) activity in Brassicaceae plants.Moreover,we found that the absence of two root-specific sesterterpenoids,with similar chemical structure,significantly affected root microbiota assembly in similar patterns.Our results not only demonstrate the sensitivity of plant microbiota to PSMs but also establish a complete framework of host plants to control root microbiota composition through evolutionarily dynamic PSMs. | Qingwen Chen Ting Jiang Yong-Xin Liu Haili Liu Tao Zhao Zhixi Liu Xiangchao Gan Asis Hallab Xuemei Wang Juan He Yihua Ma Fengxia Zhang Tao Jin M. | 3 | Seismic response analysis of road vehicle-bridge system for continuous rigid frame bridges with high piers显示文摘The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of earthquakes on road vehicle-bridge coupling vibration systems. A two-axle highway freight vehicle is treated as a 13 degree-of-freedom system composed of several rigid bodies, which are connected by a series of springs and dampers. The framework of the earthquake-vehicle-bridge dynamic analysis system is then established using an earthquake as the external excitation. The equivalent lateral contact force serves as the judgment criteria for sideslip accidents according to reliability theory. The entire process of the vehicle crossing the bridge is considered for a very high pier continuous rigid frame bridge. The response characteristics of the vehicle and the bridge are discussed in terms of various parameters such as earthquake ground motion, PGA value of the earthquake, incident angle, pier height, vehicle speed and mass. | 4 | Visible-light photocatalytic activity and mechanism of novel AgBr/BiOBr prepared by deposition-precipitation显示文摘A new composite photocatalyst AgBr/BiOBr was prepared by loading AgBr on a BiOBr substrate via deposition-precipitation and characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy.The as-prepared AgBr/BiOBr comprised face-centered cubic AgBr and tetragonal BiOBr particles.The average crystalline sizes of AgBr in the AgBr/BiOBr composites were less than 28.5 nm.The absorption edges of AgBr/BiOBr in visible-light region had a red shift with increasing AgBr content.Photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange results show that the AgBr/BiOBr composites could degrade methyl orange efficiently under visible-light irradiation (λ>420 nm).The optimal molar percentage of AgBr was 50 mol% with corresponding maximum k app of 0.00619 min -1.Active ·O 2- played a major role for methyl orange degradation while h + and ·OH had little effect on the photocatalytic process.The enhancement of photocatalytic activity of AgBr/BiOBr is mainly ascribed to the heterojunction effect between AgBr and BiOBr. | LIN HaiLi CAO Jing LUO BangDe XU BenYan CHEN ShiFu | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,22: | 8 |
| 5 | Ethylene glycol-assisted synthesis, photoelectrochemical and photocatalytic properties of BiOI microflowers显示文摘Hierarchical bismuth oxyiodide(BiOI) microflower photocatalysts were synthesized by hydrolysis at room temperature. The concentration of ethylene glycol modulated the resulting BiOI morphology. The morphology, elemental composition, crystal phase structure, and absorption properties of the BiOI samples were characterized. Under visible light irradiation(k [ 400 nm), BiOI(S10) with a microflower morphology exhibited the highest photocatalytic activity in the degradation of methyl orange. The corresponding apparent pseudo-first-order rate constant was 0.826 h-1. The trend in photocatalytic activities of the prepared BiOI samples coincided with the trend in their photocurrents. | 6 | Fenton-like degradation of Methylene Blue using paper mill sludge-derived magnetically separable heterogeneous catalyst:Characterization and mechanism显示文摘For the paper industry, the disposal and management of the yielded sludge are a considerable challenge. In our work, the paper mill sludge-derived magnetically separable heterogeneous catalyst(PMS-Fe-380) was prepared easily through a facile synthesis method. The morphology and structure of PMS-Fe-380 were fully characterized by means of X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and Brunauer–Emmet–Teller analysis. The catalytic activity of PMS-Fe-380 was evaluated by degradation of Methylene Blue(MB). The reusability and stability of PMS-Fe-380 were evaluated in five repeated runs, which suggested that PMS-Fe-380 manifested excellent stability of catalytic activity. Moreover,leaching tests indicated that the leached iron is negligible(<0.5 mg/L). | 8 | Surface Na2CO3 etching induced activity enhancement of 2D BiOI photocatalyst working under visible light显示文摘The visible light photocatalytic activity of two-dimensional(2D) BiOI microplates was intensively enhanced through simply dipping in Na_2CO_3 solutions at room temperature. The X-ray powder diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) investigations suggest that little amount of(BiO)_2CO_3phase was formed on the surface of 2D BiOI via the in situ chemical conversion. The concentration of Na_2CO_3 solutions affected the structure, morphology, light absorption and surface element component of 2D BiOI. The surface loaded(BiO)_2CO_3mainly trapped the photoinduced electrons of BiOI, improved the separation efficiency of photocharges and finally raised the photocatalytic activity of BiOI under visible light(k > 420 nm). Furthermore, the product of the as-prepared(BiO)_2CO_3/BiOI displayed excellent stability in the repeated experiment. | 9 | Influence of cosmic radiation on lymphocyte micronucleus,serum lipid peroxide and antioxidation capacity in aircrew members显示文摘This study looks into the influence of cosmic radiation at high altitudes on human bodies. Results reveal that the cytokinesis-block micronuclei (CBMN) and conventional cultured micronuclei in peripheral blood lymphocytes, serum levels of lipid peroxide, superoxide dismutase, and the total antioxidation capacity by chemical colorimetry all increased significantly in aircrew members. There exists a linear relationship between the CBMN and the average annual effective doses of radiation received or the average annual flying hours. With both of them, a trend shows that the serum lipid peroxide levels increase as well. Either the lipid peroxide or CBMN can sensitively reflect the recent changes in flight load.
