1Biostratigraphy and geography of the Ordovician-Silurian Lungmachi black shales in South China显示文摘Based on the new material of seven Ordovician-Silurian boundary sections investigated recently, together with previously published data, we analyze the temporal and spatial distributions of the Lungmachi black shales, a key petroleum source bed widely distributed in South China. The Lungmachi black shales range in age from the Normalograptus persculptus Biozone of the uppermost Ordovician to the Spirograptus guerichi Biozone of the lower Telychian, and ten graptolite biozones can be recognized within this unit. The basal and upper contacts of the Lungmachi black shales are diachronous. The basal contact ranges from the N. persculptus to the C. cyphus biozones, a span of five graptolite biozones over two stages. The upper contact ranges from the D. pectinatus-M. argenteus Biozone to the Spirograptus guerichi Biozone, which spans four graptolite biozones over two stages. The Yichang Uplift resulted in the formation of the Hunan-Hubei Submarine High in the border area of Hubei, Hunan, and Chongqing. This is supported by a break in sedimentation in this area spanning all or part of the Hirnantian, and in many areas extending into the underlying Katian and overlying Rhuddanian. Comparison of the distribution of the Katian to Rhuddanian strata in this area indicates a growth and subsequent reduction in area of the Hunan-Hubei Submarine High particularly in the Hirnantian to early Rhuddanian. 2Immunohistochemical prognostic markers of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma:a systematic review显示文摘Background: Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) is an aggressive malignancy, with a high incidence and poor prognosis. In the past several decades, hundreds of proteins have been reported to be associated with the prognosis of ESCC, but none has been widely accepted to guide clinical care. This study aimed to identify proteins with great potential for predicting prognosis of ESCC.Methods: We conducted a systematic review on immunohistochemical(IHC) prognostic markers of ESCC according to the 2009 Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA) Guidelines. Literature related to IHC prognostic markers of ESCC were searched from PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library until January 30 th, 2017. The risk of bias of these original studies was evaluated using the Quality in Prognosis Studies(QUIPS) tool.Results: We identified 11 emerging IHC markers with reproducible results, including eight markers [epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR), Cyclin D1, vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF), Survivin, Podoplanin, Fascin,phosphorylated mammalian target of rapamycin(p-mTOR), and pyruvate kinase M2(PKM2)] indicating unfavorable prognosis and 3 markers(P27, P16, and E-cadherin) indicating favorable prognosis of ESCC.Conclusion: Strong evidence supports that these 11 emerging IHC markers or their combinations may be useful in predicting prognosis and aiding personalized therapy decision-making for ESCC patients.Chunni Wang Jingnan Wang Zhaoli Chen Yibo Gao Jie He 2017Chinese Journal of Cancer2017,36,11:16

4A unified implicit scheme for kinetic model equations. Part I. Memory reduction technique显示文摘A memory reduction technique is proposed for solving stationary kinetic model equations. As implied by an integral solution of the stationary kinetic equation, a velocity distribution function can be reconstructed from given macroscopic variables. Based on this fact, we propose a technique to reconstruct distribution function at discrete level, and employ it to develop an implicit numerical method for kinetic equations. The new implicit method only stores the macroscopic quantities which appear in the collision term, and does not store the distribution functions. As a result, enormous memory requirement for solving kinetic equations is totally relieved. Several boundary conditions, such as, inlet, outlet and isothermal boundaries, are discussed. 7Helium Isotopic Composition of the Songduo Eclogites in the Lhasa Terrane,Tibet: Information from the Deep Mantle显示文摘Helium isotopic compositions are considered to be ideal tracers to identify whether mantle materials have been added to crustal rocks or fluids.In this paper,we present the helium isotopic compositions of the Songduo eclogites in the Lhasa terrane,Tibet.We found that garnet and omphacite in the eclogites have different helium retention characteristics.The 4He content of most omphacite grains are about 10–20 times of that of garnet,suggesting that omphacite has a higher ability to capture 4He than garnet.Similarly,there is about 10–20 times difference in 3He content between omphacite and garnet in the same eclogite samples.The 3He/4He ratios of garnet and omphacite in these rocks range from 0.27 to 0.60 Ra(relative to the modern air 3He/4He ratio,1.4×10^-6).These ratios are within the range of both mantle-and crust-derived helium,suggesting mixed sources.The Songduo eclogites have much higher3He/4He ratios than those observed in the Dabie eclogites of eastern China.Such high ratios are typically thought to be associated with deep mantle sources.We cautiously conclude that deep mantle materials might have been involved during the formation of the Songduo eclogites.Zhaoli Li Jingsui Yang Tianfu Li Songyong Chen 2019Journal of Earth Science2019,30,3:2

14LAMC2 regulates proliferation, migration, and invasion mediated by the Pl3K/AKT/mTOR pathway in oral显示文摘Background:Oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)is a common malignant tumor.Recently,Laminin Gamma 2(LAMC2)has been shown to be abnormally expressed in OSCC;however,how LAMC2 signaling contributes to the occurrence and development of OSCC and the role of autophagy in OSCC has not been fully explored.This study aimed to analyze the role and mechanism of LAMC2 signaling in OSCC and the involvement of autophagy in OSCC.Methods:To explore the mechanism by which LAMC2 is highly expressed in OSCC,we used small interfering RNA(siRNA)to knock down LAMC2 to further observe the changes in the signaling pathway.Furthermore,we used cell proliferation assays,Transwell invasion assays,and wound-healing assays to observe the changes in OSCC proliferation,invasion,and metastasis.RFP-LC3 was used to detect the level of autophagy intensity.A cell line-derived xenograft(CDX)model was used to detect the effect of LAMC2 on tumor growth in vivo.Results:This study found that the level of autophagy was correlated with the biological behavior of OSCC.The downregulation of LAMC2 activated autophagy and inhibited OSCC proliferation,invasion,and metastasis via inhibiting the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway.Moreover,autophagy has a dual effect on OSCC,and the synergistic downregulation of LAMC2 and autophagy can inhibit OSCC metastasis,invasion,and proliferation via the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway.Conclusions:LAMC2 interacts with autophagy to regulate OSCC metastasis,invasion,and proliferation via the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway.LAMC2 down-regulation can synergistically modulate autophagy to inhibit OSCC migration,invasion,and proliferation.FAYU SHAN LANLAN LIANG CHONG FENG HONGBAO XU ZIROU WANG WEILI LIU LINGLING PU ZHAOLI CHEN GANG CHEN XINXING WANG 2023Oncology Research2023,31,4:1

16Geographical distribution and age composition of Euphausia superba larvae (Crustacea: Euphausiacea) in the South Shetland Islands region and southern Scotia Sea in relation to environmental conditions显示文摘Spatial distribution patterns of the different life stages of Euphausia superba in the region of the South Shetland Islands and southern Scotia Sea(Antarctica)were assessed based on scientific survey data collected in January and February of 2010.Adults,eggs,nauplii,metanauplii,calyptopis I–III,and furcilia I–II were found in the investigation.The abundance of larvae averaged 1 172.8 ind./m2,with calyptopis I and II as the dominant stages.Habitat occupancy patterns varied among Euphausia superba at different stages,and three sub-regions were identified by cluster analysis.The degree of larval development increased from west to east.Larvae were not observed north of the South Shetland Islands.Calyptopis I was predominant in the water between Elephant Island and the South Orkney Islands,which featured no thermocline.Older stages,including calyptopis II and III and furcilia I and II,were common in north and northeast of the South Orkney Islands,which were characterized by high temperature and high chlorophyll concentration.Distribution and abundance of the early life stages of E.superba were associated with specific environmental conditions.According to Biota–Environment matching(BIOENV),the distributions of E.superba larvae were correlated with a combination of temperature at the surface and 200 m,and 0–100 m integrated chlorophyll a concentration.GAO Qian XU Zhaoli HUANG Hongliang CHEN Xuezhong FENG Chunlei LI Lingzhi 2013Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,11:1

20Physical Activity,Sedentary Behavior,and the Risk of Cardiovascular Disease in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients:The MIDiab Study显示文摘The aim of this study was to explore the associations of moderate-to-vigorous-intensity physical activity(MVPA)time and sedentary(SED)time with a history of cardiovascular disease(CVD)and multifactorial(i.e.,blood pressure(BP),body mass index(BMI),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),and glycated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c))control status among type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)patients in China.A cross-sectional analysis of 9152 people with type 2 diabetes from the Multifactorial Intervention on Type 2 Diabetes(MIDiab)study was performed.Patients were grouped according to their self-reported MVPA time(low,<150 min·week−1;moderate,150 to<450 min·week−1;high,≥450 min·week−1)and SED time(low,<4 h·d–1;moderate,4 to<8 h·d–1;high,≥8 h·d–1).Participants who self-reported a history of CVD were identified as having a CVD risk.Odds ratios(ORs)and 95%confidence intervals(CIs)of CVD risk and multifactorial control status associated with MVPA time and SED time were estimated using mixed-effect logistic regression models,adjusting for China’s geographical region characteristics.The participants had a mean±standard deviation(SD)age of(60.87±8.44)years,44.5%were women,and 25.1%had CVD.After adjustment for potential confounding factors,an inverse association between high MVPA time and CVD risk that was independent of SED time was found,whereas this association was not observed in the moderate-MVPA group.A higher MVPA time was more likely to have a positive effect on the control of BMI.Compared with the reference group(i.e.,those with MVPA time≥450 min·week−1 and SED time<4 h·d–1),CVD risk was higher in the low-MVPA group:The OR associated with an SED time<4 h·d–1 was 1.270(95%CI,1.040–1.553)and that associated with an SED time≥8 h·d–1 was 1.499(95%CI,1.149–1.955).We found that a high MVPA time(i.e.,≥450 min·week−1)was associated with lower odds of CVD risk regardless of SED time among patients with T2DM.Yafei Wu Guijun Qin Guixia Wang Libin Liu Bing Chen Qingbo Guan Zhongshang Yuan Xu Hou Ling Gao Chao Xu Haiqing Zhang Xu Zhang Qiu Li Yongfeng Song Fei Jing Shizhan Ma Shanshan Shao Meng Zhao Qingling Guo Nanwei Tong Hongyan Zhao Xiaomin Xie Chao Liu Zhongyan Shan Zhifeng Cheng Xuefeng Yu Shulin Chen Tao Yang Yangang Wang Dongmei Li Zhaoli Yan Lixin Guo Qiuhe Ji Wenjuan Wang Jiajun Zhao 2023Engineering2023,,1:1
