| 1 | Flavonoid profiling of a traditional Chinese medicine formula of Huangqin Tang using high performance liquid chromatography显示文摘The quality control processes for herbal medicines have been problematic. Flavonoids are the major active components of Huangqin Tang(HQT, a traditional Chinese medicine formula). In this study, we used a combinative method approach consisting of chromatographic fingerprinting(high performance liquid chromatography; HPLC), quantitative methods and a pharmacodynamic evaluation model to analyze the flavonoids of HQT obtained from different sources. Ten batches of HQT were analyzed by the HPLC fingerprinting method and 26 common peaks were detected, of which 23 peaks corresponded with the chemical profile of HQT. In addition, 11 major compounds were identified by LC–MS analysis(liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometer; LC–MS^n) and quantified by the HPLC quantitative method approach. The studied10 batches of HQT were found to be homogeneous in their composition with a similarity between 0.990 and1.000. The distribution of the 11 identified compounds was found to be very similar among the batches. Only slight pharmacodynamic differences were detected between the different batches, confirming the homogeneity of HQT. | 3 | Chemical characteristics of precipitation at Nanping Mangdang Mountain in eastern China during spring显示文摘To study the characteristics of precipitation in eastern China,an automatic sampler was used to collect rainwater samples from 19 precipitation events at Mangdang Mountain,Nanping City,Fujiang Province,in the spring of 2009.We used ion chromatography to analyze the ionic components and concentrations,and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) to analyze element compositions and contents.The results demonstrated remarkable acidic characteristics:in more than 80% of precipitation events the pH was less than 5.6,with an average of 4.81.Mass concentration results showed SO 4 2 was the main anionic component (36.2% of the total anion mass),while NH 4+ was the main cationic component (47.7% of the total cation mass) and main ion for acidity neutralization in the rainwater.Organic acid content accounted for 30.9% of total anion mass.The main trace metals were Ca,K,and Na.The SO 4 2/NO 3 ratio was 1.4,indicating that precipitation in this region was influenced by complex air pollution-the product of individual coal-burning combined with vehicle exhaust pollution.Correlation analysis of the chemical composition of the precipitation indicated that acidity in this region was determined by a combination of all acidic and neutralization ions rather than any single ion component.The results also showed that Na+ and Cl contributions were mainly by seawater;Mg 2+ by seawater and crustal materials;the NH 4+,K+,Ca 2+,NO 3 and SO 4 2 by anthropogenic sources;the trace metals were from the Earth's crust;and organic acids were potentially from combustion of biomass. | Yanli Cheng Ying Liu Mingqun Huo Qian Sun Huixiang Wang Zhongming Chen Yuhua Bai | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,8: | 8 |

| 5 | Tunable Schottky barrier width and enormously enhanced photoresponsivity in Sb doped SnS2 monolayer显示文摘Doping, which is the intentional introducti on of impurities into a material, can improve the metal-semiconductor interface by reducing Schottky barrier width. Here, we prese nt high-quality two-dime nsional SnS2 nano sheets with well-controlled Sb dopi ng concen tration via direct vapor growth approach and following micromechanical cleavage process. X-ray photoelectro n spectroscopy (XPS) measureme nt dem on strates that Sb contents of the doped samples are approximately 0.22%, 0.34% and 1.21%, respectively, and doping in duces the upward shift of the Fermi level with respect to the pristi ne SnS2. Tran smissio n electro n microscopy (TEM) characterizatio n exhibits that Sb-doped SnS2 nano sheets have a high-quality hexagonal symmetry structure and Sb element is uniformly distributed in the nano sheets. The phototra nsistors based on the Sb-doped SnS2 mono layers show n-type behavior with high mobility which is one order of magn itude higher than that of pristi ne SnS2 phototra nsistors. The photorespo nsivity and exter nal quantum efficiency (EQE) of Sb-S nS2 mono layers phototra nsistors are approximately three orders of magnitude higher than that of pristine SnS2 phototransistor. | 6 | Effect of substrate cooling on the epitaxial growth of Ni-based single-crystal superalloy fabricated by direct energy deposition显示文摘The columnar-to-equiaxed transition(CET)or the formation of stray grains in the laser melting deposition is the least desirable for the repair of single-crystal blades.In this work,the forced water-cooling was conducted on a single-crystal Rene N5 substrate during the direct energy deposition(DED).The single track remelting,one-layer,two-layer,and eight-layer depositions were investigated to explore the grain growth mechanism.The solidification conditions of the DED process,including temperature field,temperature gradient,and solidification speed,were numerically analyzed by a finite element model.The single-track remelting results showed that the fraction of columnar crystal regions increases from55.81%in the air-cooled sample to 77.14%in the water-cooled one.The single-track deposits of one-and two-layer have the same trend,where the proportion of columnar crystal height was higher under the forced water-cooled condition.The electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD)grain-structure maps of an eight-layer deposit show that the epitaxial growth height increases from 1 mm in the air-cooling sample to 1.5 mm in the water-cooling one.The numerical results showed that the tempe rature gradient in[0011 direction was significantly increased by using forced water-cooling.In conclusion,the in-situ substrate cooling can become a potential method to promote epitaxial growth during DED via the influence on CET occurrence. | Jianwen Nie Chaoyue Chen Longtao Liu Xiaodong Wang Ruixin Zhao Sansan Shuai Jiang Wang Zhongming Ren | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,3: | 6 |
| 7 | L-tyrosine improves neuroendocrine function in a mouse model of chronic stress显示文摘Adult BALB/c mice, individually housed, were stimulated with nine different stressors, arranged randomly, for 4 continuous weeks to generate an animal model of chronic stress. In chronically stressed mice, spontaneous locomotor activity was significantly decreased, escape latency in the Morris water maze test was prolonged, serum levels of total thyrotropin and total triiodothyronine were significantly decreased, and dopamine and norepinephrine content in the pallium, hippocampus and hypothalamus were significantly reduced. All of these changes were suppressed, to varying degrees, by L-tyrosine supplementation. | 8 | The diversity effect of inductive reasoning under segment manipulation of complex cognition显示文摘The present study proposed the idea of segment manipulation of complex cognition (SMCC), and technically made it possible the quantitative treatment and systematical manipula-tion on the premise diversity. The segment manipulation of complex cognition divides the previ-ous inductive strengths judgment task into three distinct steps, attempting to particularly distin-guish the psychological processes and their rules. The results in Experiment 1 showed that compared with the traditional method, the quantitative treatment and systematical manipulation of SMCC on the diversity did not change the task’s nature, and remain rational and a good measurement of inductive strength judgment. The results in Experiment 2 showed that the par-ticipants’ response rules in the triple-step task were expected from our proposal, and that in Step 2 the “feeling of surprise” (FOS), which seems implausible but predicted from the diversity premises, was measured, and its component might be the critical part that produced the diversity effect. The “feeling of surprise” may reflect the impact of emotion on cognition, representing a strong revision to premise probability principle of pure rational hypothesis proposed by Lo et al., and its roles in the diversity effect are worthy of further research. | 11 | Cold spray additive manufacturing of Invar 36 alloy:microstructure,thermal expansion and mechanical properties显示文摘In this work,the Invar 36 alloys were manufactured using cold spray(CS)additive manufacturing technique.The systematic investigations were made on the microstructural evolution,thermal expansion and mechanical properties under as-sprayed(AS)and heat-treated(HT)conditions.XRD(X-ray diffraction)and ICP-AES(inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy)analyses show that no phase transformation,oxidation,nor element content change have occurred.The X-ray computed tomography(XCT)exhibited a near fully dense structure with a porosity of 0.025%in the helium-produced sample under as-sprayed condition,whereas the nitrogen-produced samples produced at 5 MPa and 800℃show more irregular pore defects.He-AS sample shows a more prominent grain refinement than that of nitrogen samples due to the more extensive plastic deformation.The post heat-treatment exhibited a promoted grain growth,inter-particle diffusion,as well as the formation of annealing twins.Between25℃and 200℃,the nitrogen samples possessed lower CTE(coefficient of thermal expansion)values(1.53×10^(-6)/℃)compared with those produced by casting and laser additive manufacturing.The He-AS samples exhibited a noticeable negative CTE value between 25℃and 200℃,which may due to the significant compressive residual stress(-272 MPa)compensating its displacement with temperature increase during CTE test.The N2-HT and He-HT Invar 36 samples present a notable balance between strength and ductility.In conclusion,the CS technique can be considered as a potential method to produce the Invar36 component with high thermal and mechanical performance. | Chaoyue Chen Yingchun Xie Longtao Liu Ruixin Zhao Xiaoli Jin Shanqing Li Renzhong Huang Jiang Wang Hanlin Liao Zhongming Ren | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,13: | 4 |

| 13 | RP11-40C6.2 Inactivates Hippo Signaling by Attenuating YAP1 Ubiquitylation in Hepatitis B Virus-associated Hepatocellular Carcinoma显示文摘Background and Aims:Chronic hepatitis caused by hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection is a leading cause of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).We investigated the roles of oncogenic HBV infection-associated long noncoding RNAs in HCC.Methods:Bioinformatics analysis of data from the Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)was performed to screen potential oncogenic HBV-related lncRNAs.Next,we assessed their expression in clinical samples and investigated their correlation with clinical characteristics.The detailed oncogenic effects were analyzed by performing in vitro and in vivo studies.Results:RP11-40C6.2,an HBV infection-related lncRNA,was identified by analysis of the TCGA–Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma database.Gene Set Enrichment Analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)enrichment analysis of differentially expressed genes revealed a strong association of RP11-40C6.2 with the Hippo signaling pathway.RP11-40C6.2 was overexpressed in HCC patients with HBV infection compared to those without HBV infection.RP11-40C6.2 transcription showed a positive association with HBV-X protein(HBx),but not HBV core protein(HBc)expression,both of which are carcinogenic proteins.Luciferase gene reporter and ChIP assays revealed that YAP1/TAZ/TEADs complex enhanced RP11-40C6.2 transcription by binding to its promoter area.RP11-40C6.2 showed oncogenic characteristics in HCC cell lines and in animal models that were mediated via activation of YAP1.In vitro ubiquitylation assay revealed that RP11-40C6.2 can promote the stabilization of YAP1 by stopping phosphorylation at its s127 residue and further stopping its degradation through binding to 14-3-3.Conclusions:RP11-40C6.2 is an HBV infection-related lncRNA that exerts its oncogenic effects by targeting the Hippo signaling pathway. | Han Zhuo Chen Wu Junwei Tang Feihong Zhang Zhenggang Xu Dongwei Sun Yue Teng Zhongming Tan | 2023 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,2: | 3 |
| 14 | Atmospheric heterogeneous reaction of acetone:Adsorption and desorption kinetics and mechanisms on SiO_2 particles显示文摘Acetone plays an important role in photooxidation processes in the atmosphere. Up to date, little is known regarding the heterogeneous fate of acetone. In this study, the adsorption and desorption processes of acetone on SiO2 particles, which are the major constituent of mineral dust in the atmos-phere, have been investigated for the first time under the simulated atmospheric conditions, using in situ transmission Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. It is found that acetone molecules are ad-sorbed on the surfaces of SiO2 particles by van der Waals forces and hydrogen bonding forces in a nonreactive and reversible state. The rates of initial adsorption and initial desorption, initial uptake coefficients and adsorption concentrations at equilibrium have been determined at different relative humidity. The presence of water vapor cannot result in the formation of new substances, but can de-crease the adsorption ability by consuming or overlapping the isolated OH groups on the surfaces of SiO2 particles. In the desorption process, a considerable amount of acetone molecules will remain on SiO2 particles in dry air, whereas acetone molecules are almost completely desorbed at a high relative humidity. | 15 | Effect of CH_3OOH on the atmospheric concentration of OH radicals显示文摘Methyl hydroperoxide (CH3OOH, MHP) is known to be a significant sink and reservoir of HOx and ROx radicals in the atmosphere. In order to investigate the impact of MHP on the concentration of atmospheric OH radicals, two key gas-phase reactions of MHP, i.e. the reactions with OH radicals and with UV photolysis, have been simulated at temperature of 293±2 K and total pressure of 1.01×105 Pa, using the long path Fourier transform infrared (LP-FTIR) spectrometry. OH radicals are generated by the photolysis of O3 in the presence of water vapor. Combined with the relative rate method, the reaction rate constant of MHP with OH radicals is determined to be (3.99±0.15)×10 -12 cm3·molecule -1 ·s -1 , and thus the atmospheric lifetime of MHP is estimated at 2.9 days. Furthermore, from detailed analysis of the UV photolysis of MHP, the yield of OH radicals is obtained to be 0.91±0.04.
