1Studies on the Oxidative Stress in Alcohol Abusers in China显示文摘Objective\ In order to study the relationship between alcohol abuse and oxidative stress, and to identify oxidative damage of alcohol abuse in human bodies. Methods\ 80 cases of male alcoholics (AL) aged 40 years old and 80 cases of male healthy volunteers (HV) of the same age without drinking history were investigated by measuring concentrations of vitamin C (VC), vitamin E (VE) and β-carotene (β-CAR) in plasma as well as activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) in RBC with spectrophotometric assays. Results\ Compared with the average values (AV) of the above biochemical parameters in the HV group, the average values of VC, VE and β-CAR in plasma and the activities of SOD, CAT and GSH-Px in RBC in the AL group were significantly decreased (P = 0.0000). The findings in linear regression and correlation analysis for 80 alcoholics showed that with the prolonged drinking duration and increased daily drinking quantity, the values of VC, VE and β-CAR in plasma as well as SOD, CAT and GSH-Px in RBC in the alcoholics were gradually decreased (P = 0.000), representing a respectively significant linear negative correlation. The analysis of stepwise regression and correlation revealed that the drinking duration had the closest correlation with the values of VE in plasma as well as CAT and GSH-Px in RBC, while the daily drinking quantity had the closest correlation with the values of VC, VE and β-CAR in plasma as well as SOD and GSH-Px in RBC. Conclusion\ The findings of the present study suggested that the oxidative stress in the alcoholics became pathologically intensified, leading to potential oxidative damages in their bodies. Therefore, alcoholics should abstain from alcohol drinking, and should take as supplements suitable dosage of antioxidants per day such as VC, VE, β-CAR and others to moderate potential oxidative damages in their bodies.ZHOUJUN-FU CHENPENG 2001Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2001,14,3:13
2Experimental study on interference effect of rarefaction wave on laminar propagating flame显示文摘In order to study the interference effect of rare- faction wave on the laminar flame propagating structure and pressure characteristics of methane-air mixture, a small scale combustion chamber has been built. The techniques of high speed Schlieren photograph, pressure measurement and so on, are used to study the influence of rarefaction wave on the laminar flame propagating through methane-air mixture. The results show that, after the rarefaction wave acts on the propagation laminar flame, the laminar combustion is fully transformed into turbulent combustion just during several milliseconds, which leads to a sharp increase in the burning surface area and the pressure rise rate.SUNJinhua LIUYi WANGQingsong CHENPeng 2005Chinese Science Bulletin2005,50,9:6
3A theoretical study of hydrogen-bonded molecular clusters of sulfuric acid and organic acids with amides显示文摘Amides,a series of significant atmospheric nitrogen-containing volatile organic compounds(VOCs),can participate in new particle formation(NPF)throught interacting with sulfuric acid(SA)and organic acids.In this study,we investigated the molecular interactions of formamide(FA),acetamide(AA),N-methylformamide(MF),propanamide(PA),Nmethylacetamide(MA),and N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF)with SA,acetic acid(HAC),propanoic acid(PAC),oxalic acid(OA),and malonic acid(MOA).Global minimum of clusters were obtained through the association of the artificial bee colony(ABC)algorithm and density functional theory(DFT)calculations.The conformational analysis,thermochemical analysis,frequency analysis,and topological analysis were conducted to determine the interactions of hydrogen-bonded molecular clusters.The heterodimers formed a hepta or octa membered ring through four different types of hydrogen bonds,and the strength of the bonds are ranked in the following order:SO-H···O>CO-H···O>N-H···O>C-H···O.We also evaluated the stability of the clusters and found that the stabilization effect of amides with SA is weaker than that of amines with SA but stronger than that of ammonia(NH 3)with SA in the dimer formation of nucleation process.Additionally,the nucleation capacity of SA with amides is greater than that of organic acids with amides.Chenpeng Zuo Xianwei Zhao Hetong Wang Xiaohui Ma Siyuan Zheng Fei Xu Qingzhu Zhang 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,2:2

12Forward Link Performance Analysis in CDMA Distributed Antenna Systems with Imperfect Channel Estimation显示文摘The impact of imperfect channel estimation on the forward-link performance in CDMA distributed antenna systems in multi-path fading environment is investigated. A detailed analytical model based on a hybrid signal combining method is presented and exact outage probability expression is derived. The investigation shows that the effect of imperfect channel estimates varies with system load. 17Pore Structure and Multi-Scale Fractal Characteristics of Adsorbed Pores in Marine Shale:A Case Study of the Lower Silurian Longmaxi Shale in the Sichuan Basin,China显示文摘Exploration practice indicates that free gas is the key to the large-scale development of shale gas,while adsorbed gas is also of great significance to the sustainable development of shale gas,and thus systematic researches on absorbed pores are needed.To date,researches on pore structure and multi-scale fractal characteristics of absorbed pores in marine shale are obviously insufficient,limited the understanding of gas production behavior from shale reservoir.In this study,total organic carbon(TOC),X-ray diffraction(XRD),CH_(4) adsorption,field emission electron microscopy(FE-SEM),and low temperature gas(i.e.,CO_(2)and N_(2))adsorption/desorption analyses were conducted on 10 continuously core samples from the Lower Silurian Longmaxi shale in the Fuling region of Sichuan Basin,China.The results indicate that the TOC content of marine shale samples changes from 0.95%to 4.55%with an average of 2.62%,showing an increasing trend with the increase of burial depth;moreover,quartz and clay are the dominated mineral compositions in marine shale,and they show a certain negative correlation.FE-SEM analysis indicates that almost all pore types in marine shale are related to organic matter(OM).Hysteresis loops of marine shale samples mainly belong to Type H2,further indicating that the pores in marine shale are mainly ink-bottle pores(i.e.,OM pores);moreover,adsorption isotherms obtained from CO_(2)adsorption data all belong to typeⅠ,indicating microporous properties for all shale samples.Comprehensive analysis indicates that pore volume and pore surface area of adsorbed pores(<300 nm)is mainly provided by the pores within the pore range of 0.6–0.7,0.80–0.85,and 1.7–5.0 nm.Based on the micropore filling model and the Frenkel-Halsey-Hill(FHH)model,multiscale fractal dimensions(D1,D2,and D3)are calculated from gas adsorption data(i.e.,CO_(2)and N_(2)),corresponding to part of micropore(0.6–1.1 nm),small-mesopore(1.7–5.0 nm),big-mespore and part of macropore(5.0–300 nm),respectively.Relationships between shale compositions,pore structure,and fractal dimensions(D1,D2,and D3)indicate that pore structure and multi-scale fractal characteristics of absorbed pores in marine shale are obviously influenced by the contents of TOC and quartz,while clay minerals have little effect on them.Comprehensive analysis indicates that the complexity of marine shale pores within the range of 0.6–1.1 and 1.7–5.0 nm has significant effects on CH_(4) adsorbability,while the larger pores(5.0–300 nm)almost have no effect.Haijiao Fu Detian Yan Chenpeng Yao Xianbo Su Xiaoming Wang Hu Wang Yueguo Li 2022Journal of Earth Science2022,33,5:1

19Mating behaviors in ovoviviparous black rockfish(Sebastes schlegelii):molecular function of prostaglandin E2 as both a hormone and pheromone显示文摘Prostaglandins(PGs)are profound hormones in teleost sexual behavior,especially in mating.PGs act as pheromones that affect the olfactory sensory neurons of males,inducing the initiation of a series of mating behaviors.However,the molecular mechanism by which PGs trigger mating behavior in ovoviviparous teleosts is still unclear.In the present study,we employed the ovoviviparous black rockfish(Sebastes schlegelii),an economically important marine species whose reproductive production is limited by incomplete fertilization,as a model species.The results showed that when the dose of PGE2 was higher than 10 nmol/L,a significant(P<0.05)increase in mating behaviors was observed.Dual-fluorescence in situ hybridization indicated that PGE2 could fire specific neurons in different brain regions and receptor cells in the olfactory sac.After combining with specific neurons in the central nervous system(CNS),a series of genes related to reproduction are activated.The intracerebroventricular administration of PGE_(2) significantly increased lhb levels(P<0.05)in both sexes.Moreover,steroidogenesis in gonads was also affected,inducing an increase(P<0.05)in E_(2) levels in males and T levels in females.PGE_(2) levels were also increased significantly(P<0.05)in both sexes.The present study revealed that PGE2 can activate mating behavior in black rockfish in both hormone and pheromone pathways,leading to variations in sex steroid levels and activation of reproductive behaviors.Our results provide not only novel insight into the onset of mating behaviors in ovoviviparous teleosts but also solutions for the incomplete fertilization caused by natural mating in cage aquaculture.Likang Lyu Yijia Yao Songyang Xie Xiaojie Wang Haishen Wen Yun Li Jianshuang Li Chenpeng Zuo Shaojing Yan Jingyi Dong Xin Qi 2024Marine Life Science & Technology2024,6,1:0
20Region-aware neural graph collaborative filtering for personalized recommendation显示文摘Personalized recommender systems have been widely deployed in various scenarios to enhance user experience in response to the challenge of information explosion.Especially,personalized recommendation models based on graph structure have advanced greatly in predicting user preferences.However,geographical region entities that reflect the geographical context of the items is not being utilized in previous works,leaving room for the improvement of personalized recommendation.This study proposes a region-aware neural graph collaborative filtering(RA-NGCF)model,which introduces the geographical regions for improving the prediction of user preference.The approach first characterizes the relationships between items and users with a user-item-region graph.And,a neural network model for the region-aware graph is derived to capture the higher-order interaction among users,items,and regions.Finally,the model fuses region and item vectors to infer user preferences.Experiments on real-world dataset results show that introducing region entities improves the accuracy of personalized recommendations.This study provides a new approach for optimizing personalized recommendation as well as a methodological reference for facilitating geographical regions for optimizing spatial applications.Shengwen Li Renyao Chen Chenpeng Sun Hong Yao Xuyang Cheng Zhuoru Li Tailong Li Xiaojun Kang 2022International Journal of Digital Earth2022,15,1:0
